In the peaceful town of ponyville everypony was doing their own business. From talking about current events and foals playing around to ponies doing their job on the shops and cafes and the occasional rainbow blur, also three certain fillies causing small chaos in town to achieve their cutie marks. Overall, it was bustling with activity with a smile on everyponies face.

Celestia’s sun shined down upon the many places that the town had to offer; from sweet apple acres and its everlasting and growing business, to sugar cube corner where only the best of cakes, cupcakes and other treats were sold, to the town hall where speeches were made about the events that have occurred, most of them involving six certain mares.

And it wouldn’t be like that if it wasn’t for a certain group of stallions.

Inside the evefree forest six griffins were silently making their way towards the town, all of them with hate and anger written on their faces (not literally of course) and with swords on their waists. These griffins had special assignments; invade ponyville for revenge on the griffin and pony war that they lost.

The king had given this mission to his most professional of guards, be it young or old, to conquer what he thinks is rightfully his, and since the ponies of ponyville have never seen murder it would be best to start there. What he didn’t know was that some ponies did know how to kill.

And unbeknown to them all somepony was watching them from the trees. He was just waiting for the perfect opportunity.

The griffin taking the lead motioned for them to stop with a claw in the air, to which they followed. He turned to them. “Okay, let’s split up here. Fang, KC and Splitter,” He said pointing at the respective team mates. “You guys go around so we can cover more ground when we get out and so some of the ones that run away from us can get caught. Strike, Barter and I will be heading this way since it was our objective. Everybody clear?” With a nod from the rest of group they split up, part going to the left and the other going to the right.

‘They shouldn’t have done that.’ The pony thought as he followed Fang, KC and Splitter, jumping from tree to tree to get closer. As soon as the three got a good distance from the rest the pony jumped from the tree branch onto a nearby bush, rustling it in the process.

The group heard this and stopped on their tracks. “What was that?” The griffin known as KC said.

“Since you asked why don’t you go check it out, huh?” Fang commanded.

KC looked at Fang in anger and annoyance. “Why do I always have to do everything myself?”

“Because when Dawn isn’t in charge, I am, and when I say you do it than you’re gonna do it.”

“And who the hell said that?”

“Me, that’s who, now get your ass over there.” Fang said, growing angrily and pointing towards the bush.

KC knew that trying to talk with Fang was like talking to a wall, except the wall doesn’t talk back. With a defeated sigh KC went to check out the noise with Fang and Splitter watching him from a distance. When he reached the bushes he bent down to look inside only to be snatched by a grey hoof. The 2 griffins saw this and ran to the bush, Fang on the front and Splitter on the back. When they reached it Fang pulled the branches and leaves away to see KC on the ground with his back turn to them.

“Hey KC, this is no time to sleep. Get up.” Fang said. No response. “Get up.” He almost yelled out. Still nothing. This time he was annoyed. Picking KC up by the neck he shouted. “Hey asshole, when I tell you to get up yo-“When he turned him over they a sight that made Fang drop him.

KC had no color in his eyes and his mouth was slightly opened but the two things sticking out about him was the deep cut on his chest, where the heart was and the huge hole on his stomach area. They could see his insides. All of them, except his small and large intestines.

Splitter was too stunned from the scene, with eyes opened and mouth agape, to think correctly as Fang began to wonder what happened to him.

His thoughts, however, were interrupted by something tight wrapping around his neck, immediately choking him. Splitter broke out of his trance when he heard sounds of someone choking nearby. Upon seeing Fang hanging on a tree branch with what appeared to be some kind of red rope tied to his neck, trying to break out, he went to help him get down. The ‘rope’ itself was not tied to the branch but he didn’t notice it until it was too late.

“Don’t worry, I’ll –“He didn’t finish his sentence as a blur came running towards him with a dagger on its hoof. It jumped and plunged its dagger through the griffin’s skull, killing him almost instantly. Taking out the dagger from the head Splitter fell on his knees, blood gushing out of his head to the grass and the pony before his now lifeless body collapsed completely to the ground.

The pony, standing on its hind legs, gripped the rope in his hooves, which was actually the small and large intestines tied together, to end the hanging griffin’s life.

With the last of his strength Fang looked at the blood faced pony through blurry eyes and uttered one last word. “You.” Before he hung his head to the side and closing his eyes, letting his body hang.

Dead.

“Yes,” The pony said calmly. “Me.” He was a grey earth pony stallion with a short messy mane and tail and black eyes. His cutie mark was covered by his group jacket which was pitch black and with a picture of a bloody skull on the back (cover image).

The Bloody Skulls as his group was known. They are the ones that do jobs that other ponies consider gut wrenching, impossible and awful. For them, it's just a day in the office, so to speak. Not only did the equestrians hold great respect for them, but also the princesses. Why, you ask? Because they don't feel remorse when they kill others that deserve it and they go through great lengths to finish missions and to get information.

Razor, as he was known, was the spy of the group and he was known for his stealth skills. This stallion is able to kill you in 5 seconds in many ways and styles. Unlike the other members Razor was famous with the ladies and he didn’t like nor did he despise it.

Seconds after the griffin the pony released his grip on the intestines, making the lifeless lazily drop to the ground near the tree. Cleaning most of the blood on his face he quickly made his way to the rest of the group. Reaching the outskirts of the everfree he saw the last 3 griffins talking amongst themselves. Before he could any closer one of them turned his head in his direction.

“What’s wrong Barter?” Dawn asked, noticing Radar’s expression.

“Somepony is following us.” Barter said in an alert tone. “Over there.” He pointed to where the pony was.

“Go check it out then.” Dawn said but Barter was already ahead of him. Making his way towards the sound he kept alert for nearby wolves or manticores that could come out. When he neared the griffin pounced on the bush to catch… nothing. He didn’t catch anything. ‘Weird,’ Barter thought. ’I could’ve sworn that he was here.’

He was actually right. Somepony WAS there.

“Hey Dawn.” He called out to the leader while getting up. “It was…” Turning around his eyes widen at the headless bodies of Strike and Dawn on the floor. The exposed flesh and bone covered in blood that spread to the grass nearby. The scene made Barter scream, fall down on his ass and back away in fear onto a tree. “Who would do this?” He asked nobody in particular, shaking furiously.

“I would.” Said a voice filled with anger and pure evil that came above him. Slowly and frightfully he turned upwards to a figure standing on its hind legs, holding a dagger with its right forehoof (how they grab it is beyond me). The thing jumped towards Barter as the griffin released a final screech that echoed through the forest making the wild life run and fly off in fear. Razor drove his dagger through the griffin’s skull, crack sounds emanating from the griffin’s head, silencing him.

Seconds after the silence the stallion pulled the bloody dagger out and reached his pocket, taking out a cloth and wiping the blood off. After cleaning some of the blood he placed the dagger on its sheath on the waist. He walked away from the body and examined his work.

Two headless griffins, two with deep stabs on their skulls, one with a cracked skull, one choked and finally the one with a big hole on his stomach area. ‘Weak.’ He thought walking away from the bodies with a calm expression.

On his way out of the forest he reported to the rest of the group through a communication spell that the leader of the group had made another member given them.

The coast is clear.’ Razor “said”.

Same here.’ Came another voice.

Yep.’ Another stallion said.

That was fun.’ Said a gruff voice.

I’ll say.’ Another voice chimed in.

Good work team.’ Said a voice of authority, presumably from the leader. ‘Let’s meet back at the headquarters.

Yes, sir.

Alright.

Done.

'Roger that.'

Ok.’ Silence came through the colts mind after that so he focused on heading to HQ for another mission briefing on the invasion, leaving behind the bodies of his defensive attack.
