Author's Note

And yet another rewrite, I made a few changes to how this chapter hope you like them. Not sure how many more I will be able to rewrite today or even if I can get to a new chapter yet for you guys and gals but I'll try.

Ch. 3 Hidden and Reveal (Ch 3 rewrite)

Ponyville General, Room 134

I tilt my head to the side as I hear rushed clopping of hooves pounding on tile as a much larger pony, probably a guy from the sound of it, was running down the hall. Soon enough I looked to the door as the running stopped letting me hear a heavily breathing person on the other side of my room's door as he, I could just tell. Loudly tried to calm his breathing to seem professional as he opened the door. And as soon as the door was open enough for him to see me our eyes met and he nearly fainted for some reason.

"Hobba.....you-huh....." he babbled before stopping and taking one more deep breath before starting over "Good Morning miss EagleFeather," Which got a noticeable wince from me as Gilda's memories returned with her family kicking her out. "Is something wrong?" He asked concerned and Rainbow Dash looked on interested as my eyes began to water.

"Yes there is Doctor. I'm no longer an EagleFeather," I croak out as tears begin to stream down my cheeks. "My family disowned me and banned me from having their name as my own." At this revilation I hear both ponies gasp in shock as Dash feels her eyes begin to water now too.

Rainbow Dash softly asks "That's why you wanted to crash at my place? That 'family' finally did that?" She nearly growls in anger before it is replaced with guilt and shorrow so deep the ocean didn't compare. "And what did I do? I treated you like those jerks back at Flight Camp, Hay! I never even thought that something was wrong when you kept lashing out at Pinkie beyond you might have changed." I look up and find her nearly balling her eyes out as she continues "Bucking Tartarus! I....I can't belive how blind I was to your pain G. T-there is no way I can make this up to you, I'm so sorry!" She finally breaks and lets it out. With the ever-present 'I'm so sorry G' , 'I didn't know', and so on escaping from her as the Doctor and I waited for her to get herself back together.

Silently the Doctor nods to me letting me know he'll let me and Rainbow have privacy to talk it out before he returns. I nod in thanks before he shuts the door quietly as he can. Thus leaving me with an emotionally distraught pony who after I opened my arms for a hug she was suddenly within getting comfort from me.

After about an hour of her crying and saying sorry to me, the doctor returned looking like he had shed a few tears himself with slightly puffy and red eyes. But being the professional he is he begins. "I hope I didn't offend you miss Gilda, I'm very sorry to hear that, and I've updated our files too." I nod as he looks at me. "Now I hope you are not in too much pain from the incident yesterday."

I think about it and after finding nothing really hurt or was uncomfortable I shrug only to gasp and bite back a string of curses as my wings move to shrug with my shoulders. After a few moments to let the pain die down with teary eyes I look to the doctor. "Ah yes, you're going to have to be careful with that wing, as it was broken and dislocated in the incident. Though after a few hours in surgery I am confident that you will return to the flying ability that you had before. Though it will take time to heal." I give him a nod, while Rainbow Dash looks on with teary eyes as she litsens to what else had been injured on Gilda.

After a rather impressive list of injuries from a freaking building falling on me and being as I was now nearly made me lose it. But thanks to Dash I didn't lose my cool very much, and then the doctor began to ask basic questions like what day is it, where were you born, and so on. After giving answers as best I can with the faded memories given to me by Faust he moves to a question that makes Rainbow tense instantly "Now what do you remember from yesterday?"

When I gave him a quizzical look he explained "I am just checking on your short term memory now, Since that area of your brain was heavily damaged in the incident." he then mutters to himself "Which I shouldn't have mentioned to you or your name before asking you." Then he gives a shake of his head and turns to look at me for my answer.

Of course, I remembered the episode 'Griffin-Brush-off' but seeing as Gilda didn't end up in the hospital the same day or that they were anthro I couldn't be sure. "Um I remember I was here to see Dash again after so long and that someone here decided to throw a party for me...." making a show of thinking hard I added. "Something happened at the party I can't remember what but I do remember feeling very hurt and sad as I left." In the corner of my eye, I notice Dash flinch as if I had physically struck her at mentioning how I, I mean Gilda, felt when she left the party. As she looked back to me I could see tears at the corner of her eyes, probably from knowing her friend who she had hurt didn't even know who hurt her.

The doc nods along with my story, which is half true as I can feel the ghosts of emotions that Gilda was feeling when she left the party. No small thanks to Faust for that probably, as I finally stopped making a show of trying to remember I look to the doc and offer a shrug. He asks to clarify "Is that all you remember about yesterday?" With a slow nod from me he returns one of his own. "I see."

He then began to check my bandages and injuries to make sure everything was healing as it should and there was no extra bleeding. That was an embarrassing and long time before he finally decided he was happy with the progress so far.

And so began my first morning in this world, as the doctor left I turned to see Dash looking super down and guilty. But before I could ask her what was wrong she spoke up. "Hey G, I have to go tell them I can't work today. But I'll be back in a little bit. Also a few ponies that are my friends will be by to check up on you as well." She was trembling for some reason now. "Will you be ok without me for a bit?" And after realizing she was worried and such for me I slowly gave her a nod. With that and a comment that along the lines of me being a Gryphon and not needing company all the time. Which got a snort from her and a hint of a smile.
