Chapter 5: Before hunger gets the better of you

“So Dash…what do you wanna do know” I say shifting my attention to her
“Um….I was thinking of heading home for some rest” yawns Dash, “why was there anything you wanted to do?”
“Na nothing…Just thought I might ask” I shrug
All of a sudden a large rumble comes from my stomach
“You all right, Flash” says Dash in confusion
“Yeah im just hungry” I add with a little laugh
“You sure it’s nothing else serious…that you may have to see the doctor for” says Dash walking over to me
“Yeah im sure” I laugh, “it’s a human thing…that must have followed me from earth”
“Well, How about we go and find something for you to eat” laughs Dash
“Na, I’ll be alright” I giggle rubbing the back of my mane, “You have already done enough for me as it is…I think I will be fine for the night”
“Oh come on, Flash…I couldn’t leave you passed out on the street that would have been evil” Blushes Dash, “I can’t leave you hungry all night…so how about we go and get a bite to eat at the shop close by and you can pay me back later”
“Alright” I smile, “I am pretty hungry”
“Cool” smiles back Dash, “So, How about you follow me”
Dash zooms of into the distance again without giving me a chance to follow
“Oh Not again” I complain
I chase after Dash flying after her in the night air, the cold wind blowing against my fur as I flew faster and faster, it felt amazing the adrenaline pumping through my body as I pushed myself to catch up to Dash’s speed…even though I knew that wouldn’t happen.
I saw Dash beginning to slow down as I assumed we were reaching our destination
“Hurry Up slowpoke” joked Dash.
“Hold your horses” I reply, “I only just got here remember”
“Well, im not going to take it easy on you if that is what you’re saying” Laughs Dash
“Hmmm” I giggle, “I know enough about you that you would never let that happen”
“Of course you do” smiles Dash, “Now, How about we get something to eat”
Dash walks down a dirt road that lead to a small shop overlooking the beach side view, it was the perfect scene for a couple dating. Speak of which two ponies where sitting outside at a table for two holding hooves and laughing at each other’s jokes and talking about life in general.
“So what do you want Flash?” asks Dash
“Hmmm” I say snapping out of my trance.
“What do you want to eat” replies Dash while looking up towards the menu board hanging above the preparation table.
“Oh….Um whatever I guess” I shrug not knowing what anything would taste like here in Ponyville
“Um…Two dandelion sandwiches please Al” says Dash to the cashier
“No problem Dash” smiles The Cashier, “who’s your new friend?”
“Oh this is Thunder Flash….He is new to Ponyville” Smiles Dash
“Nice to meet you Thunder Flash, Im Al” says Al holding a hoof over the counter
“Like wise” I say shaking his hoof in friendship
“Well I better get this ready” smiles Al as he walks away into a nearby room
“Well we better sit down and wait” smiles Dash walking over to a nearby bench
“Sure” I say walking over to her and sitting down
“So Flash, How you are enjoying your time here so far” asks Dash
“Well I haven’t done much so far, since I have only been here for one day” I laugh, “But I like it here so far, I like the ponies here and I like a special pony here so far”
“Well who would that pony would be” blushes Dash, “Do I know them”
“I would hope so” I laugh
“Well, who is it” persists Dash as the red circles around her cheeks become brighter red
“Um…” I say blush a little myself
“Dash your meal is ready” says Al holding the sandwiches in a plastic bag
“That’s us” I say trotting of to Al
I grab the bag off Al and walk out of the take away restaurant door. I notice Dash pay for the food and head outside where I was waiting
“So Flash, You going to tell me” asks Dash trying to get the name out of me
“Nope…Im going to let you figure it out yourself” I laugh
“Okay…Is it Applejack” giggles Dash
“Nope, But what’s wrong with Applejack?” I ask walking towards my new house
“Nothing’s wrong with Applejack” smiles Dash following after me, “Is it…..Twilight?”
“No, you only get one guess a day” I smile, “But because we are friends I’ll give you this one….It’s not Twilight”
“Hmm, Okay….but can’t I keep guessing”
“Nope, One guess a day…so you get another tomorrow” I giggle
“Fine” Huffs Dash
“Well we are here” I say looking at my new household
“Yeah, how about we go inside and eat” smiles Dash
“Sure” I say trotting over to the door and holding it open, “Mare’s First”
“Thank you” blushes Dash
I finally for the first time walk into my new household and notice the six rooms located around my house and the first thing I notice is my large flat screen TV still connected to my PS3 and Stereo system that was placed around the lounge room like I had it back on Earth.
“Hey Flash, You Hungry” says Dash shaking the bag with the sandwiches inside
“Yeah im still really hungry” I say walking over to Dash in the kitchen
“Um where do you keep your plates” asks Dash looking around in the kitchen cupboards
“I don’t know” I smile, “I just moved in”
“Okay” says Dash still searching, “Oh…here we are”
Dash pulls down two large circular plates and places them on the glazed black stone bench
“Why do we need plates?” I ask
“Well we don’t wanna dirty your new house” laughs Dash
“You do know you sound like Rarity at the moment” I laugh
“Yeah I know”
We begin to eat our food and before long we are completed and I place both of the used plates in the sink
“Well thank you for everything today Dash” I say gratefully
“You don’t need to keep saying it” giggles Dash, “You have already thanked me enough today”
“Well, I just want you to know how much it means to me” I smile
“Hey, you would probably do the same if I was on your world” says Dash walking towards the front door, “Well I think it is time for me to shoot off home”
“Yeah, I guess” I say walking with Dash to the front door
“You probably wanna get some sleep before tomorrow” says Dash walking outside
“Why?” I say in confusion
“You got to meet the rest of my friends tomorrow” smiles Dash
“You mean the mane six” I smile
“The mane what?” says Dash in confusion
“The mane six, it is what you, Rarity, Applejack, Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are called on Earth”
“Oh…Okay, well we have to meet Fluttershy tomorrow and Pinkie Pie”
“Yeah sure as long as Pinkie Pie doesn’t explode not knowing I was here yesterday I think I will be alright” I laugh
“Yeah you will be fine” replies Dash her wings beginning to span out, “Well I’ll see you tomorrow”
“Yeah, Sure” I smile, “Thanks for everything again”
“No worries” smiles Dash, “see ya”
“Bye!” I yell as Dash zooms off into the night sky
I close the door and walk back inside and head into what I thought was my bedroom
‘Oh this is the Laundry room’ I think to myself, ‘Where is the bedroom then’
I walk around the house trying to find the room where my bed was stationed
‘This is why I hate moving house’
I finally find my room which was all the way at the end of my house
‘Yeah Finally’ I think to myself as I flop onto my bed hoping I hadn’t broke it like previous beds
“Aghhhh!” I yawn as I feel the sweet embrace of sleep creeping upon me
I drift off to sleep as my first day in Ponyville slips away
