Chapter 6: House call
I awake to the sun shining into my face knowing that Celestia had started the day as beautifully as she could
“Agh!” I yawn as I stretch my forehooves above my head and proceeding to crack my neck
“You know you shouldn’t do that” says a shy timid voice
“Agh!” I scream as I full out of bed scaring the yellow pony as well.
“Im sorry” says the shy yellow pony cowering in fear
“How long were you watching me?” I say raising my without notice
“Um…Um…not long” says the shy pony
“Settle Down Flash” says a Cyan pony Rushing into the room, “I Invited in and she noticed you were still sleeping”
“Oh…Im sorry, Fluttershy…I didn’t mean to snap like that” I say getting my act together
“Iiitts alright mr…sir” Stutters Fluttershy
“No it’s not alright…I should snap at ponies like that” I say walking over to Fluttershy
“Its okay really” says Fluttershy
“Im so sorry though Fluttershy…Will you except my apology” I say sympathetically
“of course I do Thunder Flash” smiles Fluttershy
“Please call me Flash” I smile
“Okay Flash” says Fluttershy a small blush appearing around her cheeks
“Well since that’s all out of the way” says Dash, “How about we go to Ponyville and I will show you around”
“Sure…I haven’t seen much around Ponyville yet” I smile
“Well let’s get going” says Dash before zooming out of the front door
“Fluttershy” I say quickly
“Um… Yes Flash” replies Fluttershy as she moves towards the front door
“Is she always like that”
“Most of the time yes” smiles Fluttershy before flying off
“Ha”
I fly after Fluttershy so that I can spend some time getting to know her unlike the other ponies that I meet the other day
“So Fluttershy” I say as I fly beside Fluttershy
“Yes Flash?” Says Fluttershy
“How long have you known Rainbow Dash?” I ask practically knowing the answer already
“Well ever since flight school not long before I earned my cutie mark” smiles Fluttershy, “we have been friends ever since”
We continue flying for a little before there is a break in the silence
“How long have you known Rainbow Dash for?”
“Um…” I say not knowing how to answer
“She says your old friends from flight school and you have come down from Canterlot to reside in PonyVille”
“Yeah” I say thinking why would Dash lie to Fluttershy, “Is that all she told you?”
“Um...No...She...she said you when you got here you suffered a tremendous fall and she has been taking care of you ever since”
“hmmm, that sounds about right” I smile, “Hey we should catch up to Dash before we lose sight of her”
“Yeah” smiles back Fluttershy before flying off
I take my time to catch up to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, taking in the sight of Cloudsdale as we fly pass, the beautiful green grass that little filly’s and colt’s were enjoying games like hide and seek and tag…It was a beautiful sight that would never of been seen back at home.
I notice that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had begun to land and were calling out my name
“Flash down, here” says Dash waving her fore hooves in the air
“Agh” I say shaking my head from my blissful trance, “Oh Shh..”
I make my descent down towards the ground and land beside Rainbow Dash
“You alright there Flash?” asks Dash
“Yeah im fine, just got distracted by the natural beauty of Ponyville” I smile as I stare into Dash’s eyes
“Surely you have seen much more beautiful sights in Canterlot darling” says a voice from behind us
“Hi Rarity…” Says Fluttershy, “How are you today”
“Alright I guess… I have been busy very recently and I have very little time to finish this new order of silk capes tomorrow” sighs Rarity
“Maybe we can help…” I manage to say before being elbowed by Rainbow Dash
“No I simply couldn’t ask for any help.” Says Rarity
“I insist, you will get far much more done in a small amount of time with some help” I reassure
“Are you sure I don’t want to be of any inconvenience” replies Rarity
“No, its fine you helped me out it’s the least I can do to repay you” I smile
“Alright, thank Thunder Flash” smiles Rarity
“Hey call me Flash”
“Alright then Thun…I mean Flash” Blushes Rarity
“So are an of you guys keen to help out Miss Rarity?” I say my attention mainly focused on Dash
“Yeah I would love to” says Fluttershy with a cheery smile
“What about you Rainbow Dash?” I say
“Ugh…Fine…this better not take long” grunts Dash
“Thank you Rainbow Dash” says Rarity.
“No worries just make it quick” says Dash following the rest of us to Rarity’s Boutique
We reach Rarity's Boutique and Rarity is ever more insistent that I try one of her capes on
"Flash would you please, Please, Please be a dear and try this marvellous cape on, I want to know if i got the trim right for any pegasi purchasing one of this capes" Begs Rarity
"Um...Cant Rainbow Dash try it on, its more her style of things" I Joke, trying to avoid wearing the girlish cape
"Non sense, Rainbow Dash would hardly try on her gala dress, let alone this"
"Fine." I say giving up on arguing, "get it over and done with"
"Thank you Flash, you have been ever so helpful" Smiles Rarity
Rarity trots to my side and begins making a few adjustments to the cape, I stand still as I see floating pins, ribbons and other kinds of decorations floating around as Rarity requires them
"no, no, no. This wont do" Mumbles Rarity, "Flash could you please spread your wings Darling?"
"Of course" I smirk
I spread open my wings and strike a pose similar to the pictures you would see of Rainbow Dash back on Earth
"Does this help?" I smirk
"OH MY..." Gulps Rarity
"WOW FLASH" Says Fluttershy in surprise
"I know a pretty cool pose hey" I smile
"No Flash," says Rarity staring at my Flank
"What, What is it?" say in confusion
"Your...Your..." Says Rarity Trying to get words out
"My what?" I say Feeling my heart beating faster as i begin to worry
"Your Flank...." Says Fluttershy.
