“Come on, Sunny! You’ve got this!” Twilight sat in the driver’s seat of Sunset’s car, dropping her off at work. Today was her big day, the day she would finally be pitching her TV shows to the executives she worked for at Hasbro.

“I dunno, maybe I should just throw it all out and forget about it,” Sunset said nervously, thumbing through her notebook.

“Sunset! You’ve worked way too hard on this to throw it out now! You’re gonna go in there, show them what you’ve done, and they’re gonna love it!” Twilight smiled at Sunset in earnest, and slowly Sunset started to smile too. “Repeat after me. I can do this”

“Twilight can do this?” Sunset repeated, confused.

“No! You can do this. Sunset can do this.” Twilight took Sunset’s hands into her own.

“I- I can do this,” Sunset said. Twilight smiled, nodding.

“Yes, you can. You’re gonna kill it, babe. You’ve worked so hard on this, I believe in you.”

Sunset took a moment to breathe before picking back up her notebook.

“Okay, I’m gonna do this.” Twilight leaned forward and lightly kissed Sunset’s cheek.

Sunset climbed out of the car, giving a final wave to Twilight before she headed into the office building. She took the stairs up to the meeting rooms two at a time, ready to get this over with.

She had to wait in the hallway outside the conference room before she was called in. She made sure that all her papers were in the right order and her outfit was straight. She couldn't have a single hair out of place. This might as well be the most important meeting of her life.

When a man finally opened the door and she was called in, Sunset was forced to silence her nerves and walk with steady steps.

She stood before a group of seven of her employers and Hasbro higher-ups.

“Hello, my name is Sunset Shimmer, and I have a proposition for you today.” And with that, her meeting began. As it went on, Sunset became more confident, displaying all of her ideas and putting her best foot forward. She was proud of her work. She knew that it was good. She just hoped that the board of people before her agreed,

As she closed her presentation, the murmurs began. At the table, the group discussed in hushed voices what they had seen. At times, someone would ask her a question and Sunset would do her best to answer it adequately. Finally, they all turned back to her.

“We think what you have created here is very creative, Mrs. Shimmer.” A man spoke. Then a woman piped up.

“We also believe that this could be very popular among children.”

Sunset felt her eyes light up. She had to remember to keep her emotions off her face. She couldn't be too hopeful yet.

“We’ll give you a contract to produce one season of your show. If it does well, then we can consider another one.” A third man said. Sunset broke out in a huge smile.

“Thank you!” She realized how childish she sounded, but didn’t care. This had been her dream since high school, and here she was, days away from signing a contract to launch it into action.

Sunset left the office with a spring in her step. She raced outside to call her wife.

She leaned against the wall of the building, waiting for Twilight to pick up. When she finally did, Sunset was greeted with screaming.

“Did you get it?!” she exclaimed, Sunset nodded before remembering that twilight couldn’t see her.

“I did! They’re giving me a season to see how it does!!”

Both girls squealed on opposite ends of the line, bouncing up and down.

“I’m bringing home cake and we’re gonna make drinks and celebrate,” Twilight said. Sunset giggled.

“Sounds great.”

Twilight laughed. “I should probably get back to work. Congrats, Sunny.”

“Okay. And Twilight?”

“Yeah?”

“Thanks for believing in me. I couldn’t have done this without you.”

Twilight smiled to herself as she leaned against her desk on her elbow, talking into the phone like a schoolgirl.

“Always.”
