It all began on a trip back to Ponyville, a month after the events of My Time in Ponyville. I was going to visit a friend while coming home from work. She was a very good friend I made when I first visited Ponyville. She helped me out a lot by fixing me up when I was down. This friend of mine, Fluttershy (You may know her), was busy talking to her animals at the time I arrived near her home, but I (having no idea of this at the time) went straight to her house to say hi. I even bought her a bouquet of flowers, just as a friendly gift. Back home in Trottingham, I put Orthero to work filing important papers at my house. He just started this morning and got a whole stack of papers done . He only has ten more stacks to go.

As I was walking up to the house, Pinkie Pie, the town's 'Party pony', showed up, as if out of nowhere and began to sing her welcoming song. Few ponies in Equestria don't like singing pink ponies, and if you know me...I am one of them. As soon as she began too open her mouth to start a chorus, I yelled aloud.

“Pinkie!” I screamed.

“What is it Willie?” Pinkie asked, with a huge grin on her face.

“I'm very sorry, but I do not have time for this,” I said, sighing, “I am only here to say hello to Fluttershy.”

“Ohhhh,” she said, “Well...we can still have FUN!”

I looked at her, I had no idea how to tell her that I'm not interested in games.

“Here take these, and go...somewhere else please...” I asked politely, even giving up the bouquet. My impulsive decision did well, for Pinkie left with great speed and a “Thank you!”

I still can't believe everypony, when they tell me that I used to be like that in High school. I walked up to Fluttershy's door, and knocked gently on the hardwood. I was careful not to scare any of the animals she tends to. After waiting a couple of minutes I thought that she might not be home, so I turned to walk to the train station. Maybe another time. Just then, the door opened and I quickly turned around to see, not Fluttershy, but instead a pony I had not met before. She was rather peculiar, with her blue coat and red mane, which she was hiding in. Fluttershy did the same when I first met her...

This pony's wings were folded at her sides, tightly. Through her mane, her cheeks were red. There was no hiding emotions from Sir William...

I thought perhaps she had never seen a green-mane before, for she was looking curiously at me. She scraped her hoof gently on the ground, as if waiting for me to leave. The backdoor of Fluttershy's home opened, making us both jump. Fluttershy had just returned from a walk through the forest or something. When the new pony turned her head to look toward the back door, her mane moved from her face. The hair move ever so gracefully, revealing her petite, yet adorable features. Her cute little nose represented passion in a way. Her small, gracious ears were up in attention... I was somewhat attracted. Her eyes were what got me, though. Those clear green eyes reminded me of all of the beautiful pastures I grazed in when I was just a foal. They reminded me of the trees I used to climb and the sour apples I used to eat. They brought back all of the purity I had lost when half of Trottingham turned industrial. The beauty of nature shone brightly in her eyes. As she turned her head, I felt like staring into her eyes for eternity. What was a couple seconds turned into hours. Before I knew it, I began feeling emotions I had not ever felt for anypony before. She turned back to me. I guess she saw me looking at her, for her cheeks turned bright red.

“What are you l-looking at?” she stuttered. Even her voice was peaceful. I could not answer, for I was so overwhelmed by her beauty. I muttered a bit and then, realizing that I was still looking at her eyes, I spoke up.

“I...um...I...” I stammered.

She hid back in her mane, covering her eyes. I snapped to.

“Oh...I'm very sorry...I was just going to ask you what your name...was...”

She began to scoot away, still hiding in her mane, when Fluttershy came up to the door.

“William? What are you doing here?” She asked.

“I was just going to say hello, when your friend over there answered the door...”

I looked back at where the mystery pony was. She had just trotted off.

“Oh, her?” Fluttershy began, “That's Bluestreak. I used to babysit her when she was a filly.”

Bluestreak. How could a pony have that name being so shy?...and so beautiful?

I smiled, “She looks pretty shy.”

“Oh, she is. But don't worry, she's also very brave... plus, she is a fast flyer.”

I looked see if Bluestreak was there, which she wasn't, and I looked at Fluttershy again.

“Do you know if she is ...you know...dating anypony?” I asked quietly, making sure only Fluttershy heard.

“No, I don’t...”

She looked at me with wide eyes. A small smile formed on her face. Uh-oh...

“Wait,” She said still smiling, “Do you like her, William?”

“Umm...n-no...I...” I stammered, my cheeks surely turning red.

It was no use, I admitted that I had feelings for her. Fluttershy was so overjoyed to hear this, though. She told me of how Bluestreak was always so lonely, and how happy she would be to make a new Colt-friend.

“I never said that...” I told her.

“Yeah but I could tell, because every time I mention her, your cheeks turn bright red.” She rebutted.

“No they don't...”

Sure enough though, as soon as Fluttershy even mentioned Bluestreak's name and mine in the same sentence, I felt the warmth that I saw in Bluestreak's eyes come back. I was probably blushing, for Fluttershy laughed a little and said, “William, are you in love with Bluestreak?”

That was it. I was just about to say yes, for I could not keep it in any longer. But just as Fluttershy asked me the question, I looked over to see that Bluestreak was looking at me from the kitchen. She had a tiny smile on her face, and from the fact that she was blushing too meant that she heard everything. I felt embarrassed.

“Um...Fluttershy?...I-I have t-to leave...” I stammered.

“Oh...okay...I understand” She said, giggling.

I looked at Bluestreak, and I gave her a small tilt of my head as a farewell. She did the same, only she partially hid in her mane.

I said goodbye to Fluttershy, turned around, and began to walk away. Just then, though, the Pegasi in the weather team decided to make it rain. They made it rain hard. So hard ,in fact, that I had to emphasize the word hard enough to make it sound not even halfway to what it was really like (If that makes any sense). I quickly ran back to Fluttershy's house, knocking on the door as quickly as I could. As a colt of such high stance in the royal accounts, I could not stand to get my suit wet. A little while passed, and my mane was absolutely drenched with water. The door finally opened, and it was Bluestreak. She giggled as she looked at my soaked mane. As she spoke, I was careful not to look in her eyes again.

“I s-see you are a l-little under the weather.” She said, laughing.

I was surprised. She was actually speaking to me. I laughed a little, then said, “I see you can talk now...”

Fluttershy let me come inside. I tried using a dry-off spell as best as I could manage to get the water out from my coat and mane. It got most of the water out. Fluttershy and Bluestreak had to dry me off with their wings, which I felt completely awkward when they did. After I was dried off, Fluttershy told me I'd have to stay the night.

“I' so very sorry, William,” She said, “ I had no idea the weather team was pulling an all night rain tonight...”

“No, no. It's quite alright.” I said, politely.
