My Love in Ponyville (uncensored)
Tea Bags
Previous ChapterI was glad that somepony like Fluttershy, who is normally very shy even to ponies she knows, would let me stay the night. Especially since she already had another visitor. Although, she was probably setting all of this up to get Bluestreak and I together. That would explain the sudden rain in Ponyville. But I was glad nonetheless. I was a tad nervous, for I had never slept in a tree, let alone stayed in one. There are many reasons for that. For one, trees are small and sometimes dangerous, especially during storms. They are also prone to termite infection, the nasty critters. And finally, trees are tremendously flammable, peaking my curiosity as to why Fluttershy would hold a fireplace in her home. As Fluttershy and Bluestreak made themselves at home, I tried my best to make sure there wasn't any lightning outside. After about a half an hour later, I finally settled down with the Daily Canter newspaper I had bought earlier in Canterlot. Nothing much was going on in Equestria, surprisingly. Well, Phillydelphia was still recovering from an infestation, I read. That's out of my field though... I am in charge of accounts in Ponyville, Trottingham, and Canterlot. After another half-hour of finishing the newspaper and sitting down waiting for virtually nothing, I was officially bored. I looked over to Fluttershy, who was into a book she was reading. It was titled “Cold Brick”, and she seemed really into it. It was funny actually. She was inches away from the book, reading it very contently. I looked over to Bluestreak, who was laying next to the fireplace, humming a certain familiar winter tune. She seemed a little bored as well, for she picked up a stick and began poking at the burning logs in the fireplace. I was prepared to make a mad-dash to the exit, required that a fire started. I must admit, she isn't exactly the best at keeping the tone right for the song. In fact, she was pretty terrible at it. She looked cute, regardless. I looked back to the dark room where Fluttershy's animals slept. One could hear the somewhat synthetic animal snores coming from the darkened room. They all sounded so peaceful. After a couple of minutes, anxiously waiting, I finally broke the silence with a casual question.
“Does anypony want tea?” I asked aloud. But not too loud as to wake the sleeping animals. If you know me, or perhaps you've seen me during a train ride, then you would know that I am an absolute tea fanatic. Anytime I am in a situation where I have to wait, or perhaps in a situation where I am bored, I must have some hot, sugarless tea. It is just a habit. I have to have tea. Both Fluttershy and Bluestreak looked up from what they were doing, surprised at my random question.
“Sorry, William,” said Fluttershy, saving a spot on her book, “but I used up the last of my tea when I went to a tea party with Rarity and Twilight.”
“That's okay!” I announced proudly.
Again, if you know me, I always carry an extra bag of tea wherever I go, just for emergencies like this. Everyday I carry a different tea. All of my assorted seasonal teas, imported teas, and spiced teas are all kept in a vault in a disclosed location in Trottingham, and this is for two reasons; One, to keep out greedy ponies who want a sip of my tea, and Two, to keep my spontaneous bad luck out. On this day, however, I was carrying a type of tea I mixed up myself. It was called “Soothing Summer Wind”. It was made up of a unique mixture of imported spices and herbs. The mixture came from different ends of the earth. The mints, which were a major part of the sweet flavor, came from a far-off land called Germane-y. The spice, which gave it a slight kick, came from a hot desert land called Mexicolt. The herbs, which were an exotic blue grass, came from a land called Kinbucky, Amareica. All together, this made a delicious, yet delectable tea that anypony could enjoy, and I was just about to share it with two very special ponies. I had three tea bags with me. One for me, one for Fluttershy, and one for...Bluestreak. I usually carry three tea bags with me, for the purpose of sharing them. Ponies are usually very glad to get a tea bag from Matthew William Hooves's Blend. Fluttershy wasn't too up and front about the Idea of making tea at this hour, for she looked at me with disappointment when I showed off my teabags. I guess she had not prepared for one of her guests to make tea for her. But I insisted on doing so, so she allowed me to make some boiling water in her kitchen. Quietly, of course. After the water began to steam, I quickly pulled the kettle off of the stove with my magic to avoid it making the screeching noise that kettles make. But, with my luck, the kettle pressed against my neck when I pulled it up too fast. That burned like you wouldn't believe. It was so sensationally hot, I let out a yelp that startled not only Fluttershy, but Bluestreak and all of Fluttershy's animals as well. Fluttershy gave me a small glare, standing up, she politely asked if Bluestreak and I would please go to the guest room while she calmed the animals.
“Are you sure?” I asked, realizing I had dropped the kettle, its pieces scattered across the kitchen, “I mean I can clean this up, if you want me to...”
Fluttershy shot me another glare, her eyes bloodshot. I clamped my mouth shut. I guess it was enough she had to let me stay over, but she also had to deal with my bad luck. I looked over to Bluestreak, who was shaking her head slowly, gesturing upstairs with her hoof. I nodded. I guess I should go upstairs before I cause any more trouble.
