Creature: Dark Apakolypse

Many of the guard's went behind the confines of certain houses to go into the wood's that housed the strange beast that lurked within it. Lotus Moon, and Saphirus followed close behind Chrysalis, and Lovebug, as they were on the heaviest guard, along with the soldier's who sketched the wood's. Lovebug, and Chrysalis planned to capture this beast, no matter the cost. Although the two Changeling's did not like tracking a powerful creature without their signature battle armor it was the best that they could do. Saphirus had brought his powerful metal gloves with signature taser's, while Lotus besides her magic had her own weapon.

Lotus carried a rather light, metal bo-staff that did it's job. Not only was she good at wielding it, but her skill with it was very deadly. The two followed close behind, as they went looking for the Sharklantean. Creature had been expecting his enemies, and in his state....his instinct's new exactly how to handle the situation. Everypony went deeper, and deeper into the wood's, as the guard's continued scanning the area. One of the guard's searched in the area before coming to a halt at the base of a tree. At the top of said tree, Creature's eyes opened, as he hung from the top of it, upside down, like a spider.

His eyes glowed, as he reached down, and yanked the guard into the tree. The entire pony's head was in Creature's mouth, as he began chewing on him, trying to eat him whole. Creature was only able to eat his head, before spitting him out, letting the body fall to the ground. The other's heard the loud plump, as they saw the headless deceased guard. "We.....are being hunted" Chrysalis told them, as everypony tried to back into each other in a circle, not wanting to venture further. They each heard the sound of something moving in the trees, but they could not see it in time. Creatures eyes opened again from a new spot on a bush near his enemies.

Creature's attack came out of nowhere with the help of his heightened senses, as a powerful punch defeated one of the royal guard's. Many guard's attempted to subdue the Sharklantean, but the Sharklantean was very powerful, as he punched all three of them back. Saphirus charged in, as he gave a powerful punch to the Sharklantean's face with his powerful metal glove. Creature took the hit, as his claw's dug into the dirt, anchoring himself from the powerful hit. Creature stood tall, as Saphirus cracked his neck before grinning. "Let's dance tough guy" He smiled, as the Sharklantean roared back at him. Lotus came out of nowhere, staff in hand, as she gave him a powerful whack to the face with her staff.

Creature shook the hit off, as Saphirus charged in with his glove pulsing with electricity. His senses kicked in, as Creature leaped an entire mile high into the sky before landing in a spider man like pose behind the entire remaining search party, and roared. Chrysalis, and Lovebug stared at him with their magic charging up. Creature immedietly recognized the species that Chrysalis, and Lovebug Sektiss were as it roared out a single word, in a monstrous fleshy voice. "IIIIIIIMMMMMPUUUUUURRRRRREEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!"

Creature thundered, as he looked at Lovebug Sektiss, and Chrysalis with a powerful hatred. The Changeling's fired a unique magical beam, which Creature dodged with ease. He charged forward, and headbutted Lovebug hard, sending the Changeling mare crashing into multiple guard's, and into a tree. Chrysalis used her wing's to hover, as she used her magic to force Creature back. The Sharklantean growled, as he charged at Chrysalis. She fired more magic, but he slid underneath each blast, and quickly lept into the sky, giving her many hyper slashes with his claw's, and roundhouse kicking her to the ground.

Chrysalis slammed into the dirt hard, as she groaned trying to get up. Many of the royal guard's charged the Sharklantean, only for him to split many of them in half, as his claw's were drenched in blood, as well as his jaw from earlier. Lovebug managed to jump up, not out of the fight yet, and resorted to Changeling spell's. Lotus Moon, and Saphirus also stood next to her, as they were the only hope of catching this beast. Creature faced the three of his opponent's, and let out a thundering roar. The four went into a powerful, skilled battle.

Lovebug used her camouflage to change into a Minotaur, as she charged in first. Creature was in the war against the Changeling's a long time, as he dodged Lovebug's blow, and gave her a powerful punch, knocking Lovebug back, and forcing her to reverse into her Changeling form. Lotus Moon, struck Creature with powerful whack's from her staff, as she bashed him heavily, making blood spew from his maw. Saphirus followed her attack, as he gave Creature a powerful bash with his gloved fist, then used it's de-tach rocket mode to slam the glove in a fist form to bash Creature back even more, before the gloves returned to him.

Creature shook off the hit's, and thought of a new strategy. He rushed at Lotus Moon with blinding speed, and backflip kicked her high into the air, before twisting his body, and giving Saphirus a powerful punch in the face, knocking him into the ground. A blast of Changeling magic from Lovebug, knocked Creature out of the air, and into many trees ahead. They all managed to get up, and pursued to where Creature had landed. Creature got back up from the ground, and roared loudly before recognizing where he was. He had been knocked back into the survival home he made into the lake, as he smiled being near a healthy body of water.

Creature backflipped into the fresh water, and submerged in it, before channeling all of his speed of his Shark genes from the water itself. He dove down, and made a huge u-turn before accelerating, and bursting out of the water with his jaw opened. He tackled Saphirus into the ground, as he bit into his shoulder. Creature used his big foot, to keep Saphirus pinned, and gave him two nasty clawed slashes. "SAPPPPHHHYYYYY" Lotus Moon screamed fearfully, as she ran full speed, leaping high into the air, and put all of the strength in her body, to slam the staff into Creature's face. Creature was knocked off Saphirus, and into the ground.

Saphirus stood up, his face bloodied with the slashes from the Sharklantean. Creature began to get up, until another spell attack from Lovebug pushed him back. Saphirus got up, and despite his bloodied face charged in. He used the energy in his gloves to shock the Sharklantean as it roared in pain. Creature was on his knees, as Lovebug Sektiss used magical ropes to subdue the Sharklantean, as Saphirus shocked the ropes with the electricity in his gloves. Creature's body jerked from the electrocution, as he roared in pain before collapsing to the ground unconscious. It took many lives of the guard, but they finally had the strange creature in custody.

They got back, dragging the unconscious Sharklantean in a net, as they checked on everyone. Many of the guard's were killed, and some were wounded. Chrysalis was a bit battered, and bruised, but fine. Lotus Moon was going to patch Saphirus up, while Lovebug would help interrogate the beast.

Creature's mind returned from the depth's of the darkness that flooded him, as he woke up from his battle. His instinct's kicked in, trying to determine what was going on. He saw himself in a huge containment area with steel that it looked like even he couldn't break. He also noticed a small body of water, that was not as big as the lake, but rather a small pool. Seeing he was in captivity with no escape, his instinct's new he was at death's door now, and thus let his consciousness return to his body, not planning on surviving at all. Creature remembered everything about what had happened, in his instinct clouded mind.

Creature merely went near the corner, and sat down, his head pressing against the wall, feeling no hope at all. Chrysalis, and Lovebug Sektiss watched from the invisible glass, seeing him not moving at all. "That's weird....he's not moving at all, maybe we can have him warm up to his new home" Chrysalis thought, as Saphirus who had been patched up, thank's to his marefriend was jotting down notes. Lotus Moon watched with them, as she stared at Creature who layed in the corner. She saw a look in it's eyes that she could almost relate to at one point. For a huge beast, he looked defeated, broken.....un-apprecieated.

Lotus Moon had her fare share of hater's in life, and sometimes it drove her to day's where she would break down, sit in a corner, and want nothing to do with anyone. On some occasion's Saphirus would really comfort her, or sometimes she would get a call from Setkiss to cheer her up, and even receive letter's from her fan's with heartfelt sentences that helped brighten up her day. The look on Creature's face that Lotus Moon saw....said it all. Lotus Moon looked at Chrysalis, as she watched with extreme interest with Twilight Sparkle, and Cadence.

"Wow....interesting, it's a very interesting creature, but it's also a predator" Twilight Sparkle realized, as she observed him like a fish in an aquarium.

"Whoa.....I can't believe it, but you were right.....a huge, shark creature" Cadence gasped, as she looked at it with extreme interest. Cadence's horn then glowed, as she let out a pained, emotional gasp before speaking. "Twilight.....the feeling's I'm sensing from it is......."

".....Destroyed.....defeated, un-apprecieated" Lotus Moon finished, as all of the other's turned to look at Lotus, who looked at the Sharklantean with unknown thought's in his mind.

"But.....can a thing like that be....intelligent?" Sektiss asked, as Saphirus gave her a deadpanned look.

"It roared a sentence at us in the wood's, so my guess is yes" Saphirus growled, as Lovebug let out a pouty whine in response. Lotus Moon turned to Twilight Sparkle before speaking.

"M-My lady, I know what I'm about to ask I would normally lead to Fluttershy to do this, but can I talk to it....from inside?" Lotus asked, as Saphirus gave her a worried look.

"L-Lotus.....d-do you really think that's a good idea?" Saphirus asked, as Lotus walked up, and looked him deep in his eyes.

"I have to Saphy......" Lotus told him, as she looked through the glass, and at Creature before speaking. ".....I just can't stand seeing that look on anyone's face.....even if it belongs to a monster" She spoke to him before bravely entering the room, and closing the door shut. The room itself had a magical spell even with the glass window which allowed everypony on the outside to hear everyone word of a conversation that was said in the room. Creature looked up to see Lotus Moon approach him, as she sat down on the marble floor, crossing her leg's, as she looked at him.

"Can you......talk?" Lotus Moon asked, trying to see if it was intelligence, as Creature spoke in a calmer tone, albeit still sounding fleshy, and beast like.

"I do indeed speak.....why are you here?" Creature asked, as Lotus Moon spoke again.

"Why do you have that face? What's the matter?" Lotus asked, as Creature turned his head not wanting to answer. Lotus Moon gave him a pained look, but Creature turned to her, and spoke.

"I have this face, because I'm going to die in this room.....and after my struggle to survive.....I've reached my end" Creature asked, as Lotus gave him a puzzled look before she spoke.

"Your not going die, we won't let you" Lotus said calmly, as Creature spoke again.

"You have a Great White Sharklantean locked in a cell which is a lifeform that has been known to die in captivity, your only option of giving me food, is by serving cooked meat through a hole which takes away the thrill of this species of Sharklantean hunting it's prey, therefore losing my appetite, and finally even if you did know what my primary food source was, you'd never be able to give me it without the cost of lives.....like I said, I'm gonna die here, so what's the point in surviving?" Creature asked, as Lotus Moon cringed from hearing said word's. She decided to speak again, doing her best to calmly say her next sentence.

"It was for your own good....you ate a poor unicorn before you attacked me in my own house" She said a bit sternly, as Creature gave her a serious stare.

"I had to hunt, and eat her becasue it was my only food source of survival" Creature told her in a scolding tone. Lotus Moon felt anger rising through her, until a question came to her mind first that made her tremble.

"F-F-Food source, y-you....YOU EAT PONIES!?!?!?!?!?!?" Lotus Moon shrieked, as she immedietly stood up, while Creature rolled his eyes before letting out a deep sigh.

"Yes.....and no" Creature replied, as Lotus's expression turned from fear to confusion, as she looked at him with unusual interest.

"What do you mean by that?" Lotus Moon asked, as Creature looked down at his claw's before speaking.

"It's complicated....you wouldn't believe me even if I told you" Creature told her, as Lotus Moon immedietly sat on her knees with curiosity in her eyes.

"Try me" Lotus told him, as Creature looked up at her, and spoke.

"A Sharklantean's body is a very powerful, and unique predatory species that is designed to eat many types of magic, but magic uncontrolled on it's own is deadly to every living being on our planet, so the Sharklantean species can only devour it through a source of meat that generates, or is filled to the brim with magic" Creature explained, to Lotus. On the other side of the glass, Saphirus had kept an eye on his marefriend, while also jotting down notes of the conversation, while hearing the sentence he muttered.

"Fascinating.....if it relies on flesh that is filled, and generating magic then that mean's all Equestrian ponies are filled with magic in our entire bodies.....no wonder he was hunting, and eating ponies.....it's an important food source for him to survive." Saphirus realized, as Lotus, and Creature heard him on the opposite side of the glass before Lotus turned to him, and spoke.

"Wait you said Equestria ponies were your only food source for survival, are they your primary source?" Lotus asked, as Creature shook his head.

"According to Ancient law's, they used to be, but Starswirl the bearded made a deal with the Goddesses from the heaven's that created a primary food source for us, known as Magic Seal's that bred, and repopulated the ocean's enough to feed our species, and we stayed in the ocean for a very long time." Creature answered, as Twilight Sparkle on the opposite end of the glass spoke.

"That....might be true, according to the Ancient text's, Starswirl the Bearded kept many secret's, to make sure Equestria would have it's own survival. I think this was one of them" Twilight Sparkle told Cadence who agreed whole heartedly. Two question's sparked into Lotus Moon's mind, as she spoke.

"If your called a Great White Sharklantean....are there more of your species out there?" Lotus Moon asked, as Creature gave her his answer.

"There are many of our species, each are unique upon their survival, and appearance, along with the sources of strength, speed, stamina, battle strategy, and even agility. Each of these species have been watched, and more being created to survive the waters of Equestria's massive ocean" Creature explained, giving Lotus Moon the ability to ask the second question, which may have been the most important question of all.

"If you, and your species live so far out in the ocean, with your own lifestyle, and survival of food source.....what are you doing all the way, this far inland?" Lotus Moon asked, as Creature breathed in, and exhaled before speaking.

"A huge, and deadly virus has spread throughout the entire ocean, we tried to make a cure fast enough, but the infection spread too far, too fast. You may have discovered, many ponies that seem to be close to drowning on beach day's in Manehatten.....they aren't people who came on the beach....those are refugee's from the outer island pony colonies that have had to leave their homes to head to the mainland because of the infection spreading to their countries. My home, was fully engulfed in the infection, and I may be the only survivor.....and thus I came here, using only my instinct's to survive, and find other's to help me"

Creature explained, as everyone listened in the room with extreme intent, as Lotus Moon looked at him a bit shocked before speaking to him again. "What is so deadly about this virus, that it causes that many to flee?" Lotus Moon asked. Creature explained to her every stage about the entire virus with every detail he had told them which led everyone listening to the conversation, shiver from the detail's. After that, Lotus Moon exited the area, as she wanted to see what Cadence, Twilight Sparkle, and Saphy had to say. "Well?" She asked, as Twilight Sparkle, and Cadence turned to Saphirus expecting answer's from him.

Saphirus let out a big sigh, finishing jotting down the notes he had before he spoke. "I may hate to say this, but his story does make sense, and it sound's like he's telling the truth" Saphirus told them, as Twilight Sparkle tipped her head in response before speaking.

"How can you tell?" Twilight Sparkle asked, as Saphirus explained.

"If this infection exist's, it would explain why a deep water creature of the ocean, would flee this far inland to a new uncontaminated body of water. Plus if seperated from said primary food source, then he would have to be near a place with an alternate food source so that he could hunt, and survive. Although I may, or may not believe he has to eat magic, but the water place he was at was full of many fish for a big guy like him to survive on for year's, yet if he feed's on magic through the flesh of an organic lifeform....it would make sense for this creature to devour Equine ponies, due to us having a lot of magic"

Saphirus explained, as Cadence gave him an odd look before speaking. "If that's true, then why did he not also target Changeling's for their magic, I mean they are almost like us, wouldn't they be a good food source for these predator's?" Cadence asked.

"Not exactly, let's say you were given two glasses of water. One of them is completely pure, and a normal glass of water, while the other is almost the exact same, their is an ingredient, or chemical that almost taste's completely revolting, or has a taste that you just can't stand.....which one would you rather drink?" Saphirus asked, as Cadence gave him the answer.

"I would drink from the pure glass of water of course" Cadence smiled, as Saphirus gave her a nod.

"Exactly, for him he's going to go after the purer source of magic, because it will help him survive with an alternate food source, than a similar food source that has a disgusting taste to his mouth" Saphirus explained, as Twilight Sparkle spoke.

"Is it possible that these Sharklantean's, and Changeling's would have fought either way if the Goddesses didn't change their food source for them?" Twilight Sparkle asked, as Saphirus nodded.

"Almost 100% yes, both of these creatures are technically considered predators back in the day, and if the Changelings would still be feeding on love from, ponies, and the Sharklantean's feeding on our magic from the flesh of our bodies....yes, they would have had a war for the primary food source of survival" Saphirus explained, concluding his answer's, and theories to the princesses.

Lotus Moon looked at Creature through the glass before she spoke. "So....what do we do about this?" She asked, as Twilight Sparkle stared long, and hard at the Sharklantean before speaking.

"Saphirus, get Lovebug Sektiss, and Chrysalis to the royal meeting place.....we'll discuss this matter ourselves" Twilight Sparkle told him, as Saphirus nodded, as he headed out with Lotus Moon going with him, as she let some of the royal guard's keep watch of the Great White Sharklantean.
