My little Assassin

Chapter one, New Recruits.

The party at Fluttershy's house seemed to be a distant blur in the drunken minds of both Twilight Sparkle and her assistant Spike.

"I still can't believe Fluttershy did that to me," Spike said a little annoyed. Twilight giggled.

"It might be because you haven't taken a bath in two weeks." She said smiling, making Spike scoff a little.

"She didn't have to scrub so hard." he said, rubbing his arm for emphasis.

"You're just lucky she didn't use 'The stare' on you." Twilight stated matter-of-factly. Spike cringed at the though and decided to change the subject.

"So, What do you feel like doing tonight?" he asked happily. Twillight didn't hear him, instead focusing on keepig herself upright under an intense headache. Noticing her plight, Spike rushed to her side.

"Twilight!" He yelled. "Are you alright?!" He was starting to get frantic with worry. Twilight tried her best to regain her composure, but only managed a low moan. Spike was almost on the verge of running and getting help. He helped the stumbling unicorn inside the library. Twilight, seeing Spike's distress, composed herself enough to calmly state

"I think I had a little too much cider."

Spike immediately calmed down after that.

"A little too much cider, Right." He said to himself. He looked her in the eyes. "You shouldn't scare me like that. I was ready to go get somepony over here to help you."

"I'm sorry, I'll try to warn you sooner next time." Twilight said, still fairly dazed. A heavy and awkward silence befell the two of them.

"So...About tonight?" Spike questioned, seemingly forgetting his near panic attack.

"I think you should head over to Sugar Cube Corner and get some sweets." She grasped her head with a hoof. "I think I should just lay down and sleep." He nodded and walked to the door, stopping only to give the unicorn a goodnight. Twilight chuckled as Spike closed the door.

Twilight, shaking her head to clear some dizziness, trotted over to a bookcase. She browsed through it hurriedly before finding a book that didn't match the others. She pulled it out a few inches, hearing a loud click and seeing the large bookcase slide to the side, revealing a secret passage way.

Twilight treaded down the dark steps carefully, making sure not to trip on the way down. She spotted a large metallic door at the end of the hallway. She focused he horn for a few seconds, and the large door slid open, revealing a rather advanced military headquarters behind it.

Twilight entered the headquarters and spotted a familiar face. Rarity sat at the command center, a sly smile placed upon her lips. A smile that told Twilight she'd probably earn over a million bits.

"What is it? You know how our mind-link tires me out." Twilight said sternly, but with a hint of enthusiasm. Rarity cocked her head to the side playfully.

"I've found some new recruits." She sang, Making Twilight groan.

"New members? Who?" she asked. Rarity just smiled and yelled down another hallway.

Who she saw made her drop and roll with laughter. Before her stood the famed Cutie Mark Crusaders. Rarity put on an Icy expression.

"What's wrong with them?" She asked with a sting in her voice. Twilight stood and smiled at them.

"Don't you think they're a little young for this?" She asked.

"No younger then I was when I joined." Rarity retorted dreaily, Walking over to Twilight. "Just give them a chance to prove themselves. Please?"

Twilight sighed, knowing it would be a lost cause to try and argue with Rarity.

"Fine, but only one chance, I don't want anypony worrying about them." At this, the Cutie Mark Crusaders cheered and hopped around the room. Although very displeased at the turn of events, Twilight couldn't help but grin at the antics.

"So, should we start now, or what?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Of course We're going to start now." Scootaloo responded in a sarcastic way. "What else are we gonna do?" Twilight Cleared her throat.

"You're going home for now, my little ponies," she said. "You're gonna need as much sleep as possible, you start your training at dawn."

"Training for what?" Sweetie Belle asked worriedly.

Rarity grinned.

"You'll see," She sang out. "You'll see."
