Road Trip Adventure

The next morning, the girls woke up and continued driving along the freeway. It was Rainbow Dash's turn to sit in the front passenger seat while Sunset Shimmer was driving.

"Sunset, can we take Twilight and Starlight somewhere fun?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well then which place do we go to if they should have fun?" Said Sunset Shimmer.

Rainbow Dash looked up ahead and saw a large sign reading "Equestria Land: next 3 exits".

"I think I know a place where they really could have some fun." She said.

So when Sunset took the third exit off the freeway, Starlight Glimmer noticed they were driving off it.

"Uhhh, Sunset? Why are we leaving the freeway?" Asked Starlight Glimmer.

"You'll see, Starlight." Said Sunset.

When they arrived at Equestria Land, Sunset parked the RV, and they got off to see where they were. Princess Twilight and Starlight were puzzled.

"What is this place?" Twilight asked.

"Rainbow Dash and I have decided to take you, and Starlight Glimmer to Equestria Land!" Said Sunset.

"Equestria Land? Never heard a name like that, but I guess one trip to a theme park isn't such a bad idea." Said Starlight.

"Oh, you're going to love it!" Said Rainbow Dash, as they went inside the park.

When they arrived, Princess Twilight and Starlight were amazed. They had never seen such an amazing amusement park.

"Wow! Look at this place!" Said Princess Twilight.

"Look at all the rides, games, cotton candy, and ice-cream!" Said Starlight. "This is gonna be lots of fun!"

Just then, the girls saw Vignette Valencia. Vignette was surprised to see the rainbooms with two unexpected guests.

"Girls, I wasn't expecting you all to arrive!" Said Vignette. "And you've brought some guests too, how delightful!"

"Uhhh, Sci-Twi? Who's this woman?" Asked Starlight.

"That would be Vignette Valencia." Said Sci-Twi. "She's the park's founder and is in control of making everyone enjoy their days here."

Once Princess Twilight and Starlight introduced themselves to Vignette, they were about to go on their first ride.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer, it's an honour to have both of you here today." Said Vignette. "Your first ride is this way, just follow me."

"I bet they're gonna go on that really high roller coaster!" Rainbow Dash whispered to Applejack.

"Well you should be glad you're not being forced to ride it!" Said Applejack.

Vignette was taking Princess Twilight and Starlight to their first ride: the Rainbow Rocket. Sunset and Sci-Twi went along as well, just to make sure their pony friends stay safe on the ride.

"Are we riding THAT high thing?!?" Said Starlight.

"Why yes of course!" Said Vignette. "The Rainbow Rocket is one of the most popular attractions in this theme park!"

"Don't worry, you two." Said Sunset. "We'll sit behind you just to make sure you stay safe on the ride."

When the girls got on the ride, Princess Twilight and Starlight sat in the front with Sunset and Sci-Twi sitting behind them. Vignette went to the control panel to operate the ride.

"Alright everyone, keep you hands and legs inside the ride at all times!" Said Vignette. "And remember, BYBB!"

And with that, Vignette pressed the green button and the girls were off. While they were going up the lift hill, Princess Twilight and Starlight were worried.

"Twilight, is this the first time you rode a roller coaster?" Asked Starlight nervously.

"I'm afraid so!" Said Princess Twilight. "We're going so high up, I can hardly see a thing on the ground!"

"Relax you two!" Said Sunset. "You'll be alright when the ride is over!"

"I hope my glasses don't fall off!" Said Sci-Twi.

When they were going higher and higher, Princess Twilight and Starlight were starting to worry even more.

"How are you feeling now Twilight, if we're this high?" Asked Starlight.

"I can't stand this!" Said Princess Twilight. "It's gonna be a long way down, HOLD ON!"

And with that, the girls dropped down screaming their heads off when they went super fast down the hill, up and over the giant loop-de-loops. Rainbow Dash heard their screams and saw what was going on, she was worried as well.

"Oh dear, I hope they're alright!" She said.

Princess Twilight and Starlight were very scared, they had never traveled so fast in their lives. Sunset and Sci-Twi screamed as well, they weren't as scared as their friends in front of them. At last, the ride finally ended. Princess Twilight and Starlight had messy hair all over them, and were feeling very dizzy as well.

"Did you girls enjoyed your first ride?" Asked Vignette.

"I do NOT want to do that again!" Said Princess Twilight as she got off the ride.

"Here, here!" Said Starlight.

"Well at least you both tried." Said Sunset.

When they returned to their friends, Rainbow Dash could see they were very dizzy indeed.

"So how was the ride?" She asked.

"I can't tell how fast we went." Said Princess Twilight.

When Starlight looked at the ride photo, she gasped.

"My eyes were closed!" She said. "How did this happen?"

"I think you blinked at the ride camera when our photo was taken." Said Sci-Twi putting her glasses back on.

"Alright girls, let's move onto the next ride!" Said Vignette, as she took them to a high swing chair ride.

"Are you sure this ride is safe?" Asked Starlight.

"Why yes it is." Said Vignette. "This swing chair ride is the highest of its kind, so hold onto those bars and you'll touch the sky when you go high!"

And with that, the swing chair ride was starting to spin. Slowly at first, but then they went higher, and higher, and higher!

"Why are we so high up?!?" Cried Starlight.

"That's how this ride is supposed to go!" Said Princess Twilight.

The girls span around high in the sky on the swing chair, then there was trouble. Starlight Glimmer's cheeks were starting to turn green.

"Twilight, I'm gonna get sick!" She said.

At last, the ride ended. By the time they reached the ground, Starlight got off her seat and ran off to find a spot to throw up.

"I think she gets sick every time she goes on a high ride." Said Princess Twilight.

"Well said, Twilight." Said Vignette. "Once your friend feels better, we'll be moving onto our next ride!"

Once Starlight felt better, she told her friends about the rides she went on and why she didn't enjoy them a single bit.

"How come you didn't open your eyes when your ride photo was taken?" Asked Fluttershy.

"I thought you two were supposed to have fun! Not be scaredy cats!" Said Pinkie Pie.

"How many times did you throw up when you went on the swing chair?" Asked Rarity.

"Please, one at a time!" Shouted Starlight.

Her friends were silent, they could see Starlight was not in a happy mood. Just then, Applejack and Rainbow Dash brought some food for Starlight to eat.

"We got some hot dogs for you, if you're hungry." Said Applejack.

"No thank you, Applejack." Said Starlight Glimmer. "I want ice-cream instead!"

"You can have mine." Said Fluttershy. "I'm not gonna finish it anyway."

"Thanks, Fluttershy!" Said Starlight. "You're a very kind friend!"

Fluttershy smiled, as she handed her unfinished ice-cream to Starlight as she licked it straight away.

"Poor Starlight." She said. "What can we do to make her feel better?"

"I think we should all go on the same rides together, so that way we'll have a perfect day to have fun and Starlight will be happy." Said Princess Twilight.

"Do you think this will work?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"Yes, Rainbow." Said Princess Twilight, then she spoke to Starlight. "Starlight, would you be happy if were all going on the same rides as you?"

"You really think so?" Asked Starlight.

"Yes, I'm sure." Said Princess Twilight.

"What is going on here?" Vignette interrupted.

"Sorry Vignette." Said Sci-Twi. "We'll be going on the next ride soon, once we're done talking with Starlight."

"Very well then." Said Vignette. "Just carry on with your day, I'll just head back to my office."

When Vignette went to her office, everyone had a plan.

"I think Vignette is done taking Twilight and Starlight on some rides." Said Rarity.

"Well it's about time we take over!" Said Applejack. "How does that sound?"

"Ooh, Sounds like fun!" Said Pinkie Pie. "But what ride are we going on first?"

"I'll talk to Starlight and do the organizations." Said Sunset Shimmer.

Sunset walked over to the bench Starlight was sitting on and spoke up with her.

"Starlight, we're helping you to have a fun day out in Equestria Land." She said. "Vignette isn't taking us to some rides now, we're taking over!"

"Are you sure about that?" Asked Starlight Glimmer.

"Yes, I'm sure." Said Sunset. "Come with us, and we'll have a fun day together."

Starlight smiled, and joined her friends on their fun day out in Equestria Land. First they played some games where Starlight won a giant bear plush. Then they went on the rides, with the first one being the Dragon Lands Drag Racing. Then they went on the Appleloosa Runaway Train, in which Starlight started to enjoy her fun. They drove the dodgem cars in which Starlight and Princess Twilight were learning how to drive. Finally, they all went on the Neighagara Falls Barrel Flume in which they got soaked after going down the drop. That afternoon, it was time to leave Equestria Land. And Starlight Glimmer was very, very happy.

"Thank you guys, for giving me the best day out ever!" She said.

"You're very welcome!" Said Sunset Shimmer.

"I see you girls have had a fabulous day out!" Said Vignette. "Make sure you come back soon, BYBB!"

Starlight just smiled, she was happy she enjoyed her day, and was looking forward to driving back on the freeway to continue her holiday. When the girls got in the RV, Starlight looked at the pictures taken in the photo booth but couldn't stop herself laughing.

"I love this vacation!" She said. "We should do this every year, Twilight!"

"With stuff happening in our home world, we hardly haven't got time to visit this world!" Said Princess Twilight.

"I still can't believe you won that giant teddy bear!" Said Fluttershy.

"I know, Fluttershy!" Said Starlight. "I love going to Equestria Land!"

"We all do, Starlight!" Said Rainbow Dash.

While Sunset was driving the RV, Applejack who was sitting in the passenger seat noticed something while driving.

"Uhhh, Sunset? Are you sure this is the way to the freeway?" She asked.

"I'm trying to find the freeway." Said Sunset Shimmer. "There's so much traffic, I can't see where we are!"

The girls were stuck in a big traffic jam, but when the traffic settled, they continued driving further but there was no sign of the freeway. Just then, they saw a familiar building up the road. Suddenly, the girls realized where they drove to.

"Sunset, does this place look familiar?" Asked Sci-Twi.

When Sunset looked out of the window, she gasped. There, onto her left was Canterlot High.

"WE DROVE BACK TO WHERE WE STARTED!!!" She shouted. "But how?"

"I think the freeway you took was a loop one!" Explained Sci-Twi.

"At least we had fun today!" Said Pinkie Pie.

"Why did I drove on the freeway loop instead of driving directly across the country?!?" Said Sunset. "This vacation is ruined!!"

"Cheer up, Sunset." Said Princess Twilight. "Our vacation isn't over just yet."

Just then, Rainbow Dash had an idea Sunset would've used earlier.

"Hey, why don't you use the navigator?" She said. "Navigators help people direct them where they want to go, just like a map!"

Sunset looked at the navigator screen, then her friends looked at her suspiciously and made up her mind.

"Don't worry everyone, we'll use the navigator and we're driving directly across the country!" She said with embracement.

The girls cheered as Sunset started the engine and hit the accelerator as hard as she could. Then she turned on the navigator and said the name of the place they're going.

"Navigator, take us to an RV park that's across the country!" She said.

The navigator automatically showed the route, and Sunset followed it as the girls we're heading to their holiday.
