If anger and discipline were an element, it was standing right in front of me. The shadow being did not make a move, not even when my pride and joy was uncovered and dangling between my thighs. It was almost insulting. From its voice, I could obviously tell that it was feminine, but that she was also very cross with me. The longer I stood in her presence, the more I felt the power that seemed to beam off of her. With nowhere else to go but back into the room, I picked up what little cover I dropped and began to slowly hop back into the room. The being seemed to notice this as she too began to slowly pace her way towards me. A soft ticking accompanied her movements indicating that she was wearing shoes of some sort, probably metal. As I began to enter the artificial light of the room, the beings figure began to take a more refined shape.

'You have to be fucking kidding me.'

There in front of me was what I could only describe as impossible. My brain was barely able to comprehend the talking horses, hell I even accepted that one of them had wings considering the headache she gave me was quite real. The one creature in front of me though, not only talked, had wings and a horn, but its mane was moving constantly as if it were stuck in a never ending cool night breeze. Her hair also seemed to project the night sky, which filled me with the urge to brush my hands through it to see if an actual universe was really just an arms length away. As my eyes traveled along her deep blue hide, I spotted the mark of a moon on her flank. Examining the mark further, a dull pain started to build in the back of my head.

"Princess Luna?" I thought aloud.

'How the hell did I know that...'

The being in front of me seemed to share my confusion as her face looked like someone just slapped her with a trout.

"Creature, how does thou know my title and name?" She was obviously wary if not frightened by me. She began to slowly shift her hooves further apart and pointed her horn towards me in the time I took to think of an answer.

'What the hell is she doing?'

RUN YOU FOOL, RUN!

However, it was too late. A dark blue beam shot out from the creatures horn and made direct contact with my chest, knocking the wind out of me. Expecting to be projected across the room from the force, I was still standing in place, but now I was surround in a similar blue aura that seemed to stem from her horn.

'Okay, not dead. So far so good. Might as well keep it that way.'

Preparing to hop away, I wasn't really surprised that I was being held in place. Letting out an exasperated sigh, I slowly met eyes with the lunar princess who had a curious look adorning her face. She examined me slowly, taking in every detail and characteristic of my body. It was as if I was back in the asylum, always being monitored, whether I was sleeping, eating or shitting, they were always watching.

"Do not be frightened, I shall perform a memory spell on thee. It will sting slightly, but we must have answers onto what thou art." Her voice now had a soothing affect and seemed to lull me into a sense of security. She began to slowly walk towards me and touched her horn onto the center of my forehead. As she predicted, I felt a sudden shock pass throughout my body and felt my eyes roll into the back of my head. I soon felt myself being pulled into my dark memories inside of the asylum.

One Year Ago, Asylum Medical Wing

"Subject 019, suffering many 2nd and 3rd degree burns due to failed experiments testing his defense against fire. He has lost the ability to move for the time being and presents no immediate threat right now. His wounds are rather minor considering he has the ability of regeneration in his 'dark' state. Although he will not willingly do so to speed the process of healing, so you will watch over him and contact security if he actually does change."

"I understand."

The sound of footsteps leaving the room alerted me of the scientists departure. Sadly, this was not the first time I heard the exchange of a scientist and nurse discussing my treatment for whatever injury I had gotten, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. I was laying in a rather soft bed in one of the medical wards and was looking at the ceiling through the tinted eyeholes of my mask. My whole body was sore and I was pretty sure that the tests that were performed on me would be done again in about a month or so. There was a brief silence before I once again heard footsteps that slowly faded until they reached the side of my bed. Turning my neck slowly to prevent more pain than necessary, I looked up at the nurse that was supposed to supervise me.

Even through the darkened lens of my mask, I could tell that her once sharp green eyes were now dulled with sadness and concern. Both traits were very rare in this place since most choose to love the work they do here instead of hating it. Examining her further, she was wearing the blue scrubs she wore everyday and had her long brown hair covering a part of her face. She was the women that I learned to call Elizah and was one of the few people that represented a beacon of hope for most prisoners. She looked over my bandaged body and winced when she spotted a particularly bloody part of the bandages.

"I'm so sorry, but I need to change your bandages." Her voice was sweet and filled me with warmth, even if she was about to put me through agonizing pain. She began to unravel the dirtiest part of the bandages and I felt my very sensitive flesh writhing in protest. As she finished throwing them away, she began to apply a cooling ointment on my wounds and began to bandage me up again.

"Thank... you." I muttered through my hoarse throat.

She simply smiled.

Six Years Ago, Asylum Testing Wing

"Attempt seventeen. Testing subject 019's levels of anger. The results so far have been... interesting. To provoke him, we have put him under serious stress in multiple situations. This included putting him in the center of a maze that was located within the courtyard garden which has no actual exit. After five hours of non-stop wondering, 019 became enraged and soon transformed into his 'dark' state. He then destroyed the concrete walls of the maze with ease and was promptly subdued by 257. He was also presented with the Riemann hypothesis and was told to prove or disprove it. About two minutes passed before 019 flipped a table and yelled many obscenities before he was shrouded by a black mist. 257 subdued him with minor difficulty. The results are rather consistent and show that anger is a trigger for his transformations. With this acquired information, we may be able to understand his powers more clearly in time."

End of audio log.

I stood at one of the scientist's desk. After listening to his audio log, I wasn't sure how I felt.

'So they think they can control me, huh? I'll be damned if they ever figure me out.'

"019, what the hell are you doing out of your room?" Looking behind me, I spotted five guards blocking my only exit.

'Shit...'

Present Time, Location Unknown

"Get... out..... of.... my.... HEAD!" With the creature delving into my memories, she began to inch her way slowly towards the ones that I pushed and repressed into the back of my head. Feeling myself become more powerful, I broke free of the creatures hold and strained my arms until they were shrouded in a black aura.

Time to show this bitch what we're made of.

Flinging my arms at the shocked creature, she had no time to react as I sent a dark wave of energy straight towards her. The wave hit her dead on, yet she showed no sign of movement and slowly walked towards me. Seeing that my attack didn't even phase her, I fell onto my haunches and stared at her in disbelief. When she stood in front of me, she had no hint of aggression and actually levitated me onto her back and walked out of the room. As she passed the doorway with me still on her back, she began to speak again.

"I too know what it is like to be a prisoner. Even more so when the cause is letting your own darkness consume you and doing regrettable action. I shall take you to my sister, she will know what to do with you considering you have done nothing wrong by your own accord. Oh, and here. My scouts found this when they went to get you."

The thing materialized my mask out of thin air and put it within my grasp. Putting it on, I felt the connection with him become weakened. With nothing else to do, I felt myself fall asleep on the soft hide of the creature. The gentle rocking of her walking helped with falling asleep as well.
