Dr Ivo Robotnik is considered a man of many talents, including his mechanical and scientific genius, he also is vicious and clever, and is an expert in playing his opponents right into his hands. However, despite everything, he is still foiled by Sonic the Hedgehog every time he comes up with a new plan or scheme and often in humiliating ways.

There was the original time when he first met Sonic the Hedgehog in South Island, then there was the Death Egg incident at West Side Island, which bled into the mystical Angel Island and the Little Planet incursion where he tried using the Time Stones to make Little Planet his own. Right now however, he had tried to use a mystical gem known as the Phantom Ruby to take over the world. Sonic was there to stop him however, now in Titanic Monarch, the Phantom Ruby was going haywire, it made the Heavy King, one of his own creations no less, turn on him. His protegé, his own niece Eggette, was by his side as he piloted his Eggmobile straight towards the Heavy King, a mechanical hand outstretched to grab the Phantom Ruby from his rogue creation while two metal limbs pressed into the hands of the Heavy King, trying to push them out of the way. Eggette got up onto the rim of the Eggmobile with an angered look on her face. "Give that Phantom Ruby back to uncle, do it now you ungrateful bucket of bolts!" Eggette demanded, clearly angry while the Heavy King narrowed its optics in reply. Robotnik's eyes widened as he saw energy being built up.

"Eggette! Get away from that junkpile!" Robotnik ordered as the Phantom Ruby activated and made its signature sound, a portal opening right in front of the Eggmobile and started to suck. Robotnik put the Eggmobile into full reverse while Eggette held on for dear life. She slipped as she was headed for the portal at first, but Robotnik grabbed her hand and tried to pull her back. "Eggette! Hang on!" Robotnik yelled over the wind.

"I'm trying!" Eggette yelled back, tears of fear rolling down her cheeks as the tears were then being sucked up by the portal. She was losing her grip, slipping out of Robotnik's grasp. "Uncle! Help me, PLEASE!!" Eggette pleaded, she didn't want to die, not when she was with her uncle. Then, her hand slipped out of Robotnik's hand, and went flying towards the portal, screaming the whole way.

"Eggette!" Robotnik yelled as Eggette fell into the portal, vanishing to wherever it was set for. The portal vanished soon after as Robotnik sat in his Eggmobile, utterly silent. The Heavy King had sent his niece away to some other world without him to guide her... it was all his fault... he had found that Phantom Ruby and he had let the Hard Boiled Heavies do as they pleased to destroy Sonic at all costs. He glared at the Heavy King as it was battling Super Sonic, rage boiling up inside him and overflowing. "That is it... you can destroy my machines, you can stop my plans, you can kick me while I'm down. But no one... no one... does that to my niece, and continues to function!!" Robotnik yelled and with a roar of righteous fury, went straight for the Heavy King, intent on blowing it to pieces for what it did to his niece.

Equestria, a land of peace, one which has always been considered a paradise, and yet one that has seen many threats to it in the past. Celestia, ruler of Equestria, sighed as it was once again the anniversary of her sisters' banishment, a time she always felt heartache the most. Her regrets always shining through as she believed that there should have been another way, surely there had to have been another avenue for her to take. It was the same thing she always believed. Regardless, she had duties to attend to. The sun was supposed to be raised and the moon was supposed to lower. She walked to the balcony where she was supposed to raise the sun and lower the moon. There, she saw something that clearly wasn't supposed to be there. Sitting on the marble white fence that surrounded the balcony in its entirety, was a basket big enough to hold a small foal, most likely a newborn. She walked up to it in curiosity as she heard the sounds of breathing. Was there really a foal in there?

She peered into it and saw a little infant, something she could hold in a single arm if she wanted to pick her up, with peach alabaster skin, a tiny rounded head and the rest being covered up by a blanket with yellow rings and multicolored gemstones on it. On top of the blanket was a pair of blue tinted glasses which were just colored glass and didn't serve for any sight correction and a folded up set of clothing which included a headband with a pair of red gemstones in it. The infant was sound asleep as Celestia stood over her, wondering who would want to leave a child here. Was she just left there carelessly? Or was she meant to come into Celestia's possession? She didn't know at all, but she didn't have time to think as she saw the infant's eyes open. She was shocked by what she saw. The eyes were a pair of black pits with red irises being the only distinguishing way to tell which direction she was looking. Despite the unsettling look of them, they held innocence and curiosity only seen in a newborn.

The child looked up at Celestia with wonder as she raised up her hands, reaching out as though she wanted to be lifted up. Celestia slowly reached out to the basket and picked it up with her arms, bringing their faces close. The child put its hands to Celestia's face on the cheeks with wonder and soon got a smile on her tiny face. The child giggled as she rubbed her tiny hands all over Celestia's fuzzy cheeks as Celestia herself giggled back. "Where did you come from little one?" She asked playfully, not seriously expecting an answer. The little infant in her arms just continued to coo and giggle as Celestia remembered she had a duty to perform. "Watch this little one, I'm going to raise the sun and lower the moon." She said as she raised one hand up to the moon and it began to lower, with the sun soon rising in its place and the morning beginning in earnest.

The infant was awed by the sight of the sun and moon being controlled so effortlessly. "Yes little one, this is what I have done for over 9 centuries." She told the child as it giggled and babbled excitedly. "What is your name I wonder?" Celestia asked as she saw some kind of note in the side of the basket weaving. She picked it out and unfolded it with a flick of her wrist. "Now what's this?" She asked as she saw two words written on the small note. "Eggette Robotnik? Is that your name?" Celestia asked as the small infant just looked up at Celestia with a more thoughtful look on her face, clearly trying to think on the name. Celestia just smiled as she went back into her bedchambers to sit down on her bed. "Well, that is your name now as far as I'm concerned. I'll have to call you something eventually." She said sweetly as the newly christened Eggette Robotnik giggled and babbled as she had a bright smile on her face.

Just then, the door began to open and Celestia looked to who it was, seeing a guardspony walk in and bow before her. "The court is ready for you milady." The guardspony said as he then saw the basket and the infant inside, his jaw dropping. "P-Princess Celestia... what is an infant-" He stuttered before Celestia cut him off.

"Please don't concern yourself with her just yet. Can you please retrieve someone who can watch over her? I can't leave her on her own." Celestia said as the guard nodded.

"Yes princess." He said as he bowed before her once more and galloped off to find somepony who would watch over Eggette for a while. Celestia stayed with Eggette, keeping her close as she rocked the infant back and forth to keep her comfortable.

The guardspony soon returned with another one beside him. "I've brought someone as you requested." He said as the other guardspony bowed before Celestia.

"Private Star Shield reporting, princess." She said. "You said you needed an infant taken care of?" She asked as Celestia nodded.

"Yes. This is Eggette, I found her on the balcony outside, I'm not certain why, but I am going to take care of her myself." She stated. "For now, I'll have to sort out the court, so I need you to watch over her for a while, can you do this Star Shield?" She asked as the private smiled.

"It won't be a problem princess, I have a kid of my own, I know what to do." She said as Celestia smiled in return.

"Thank you private." She said as she handed Eggette to Star Shield, the infant looking confused as she was handed away from Celestia. "I will return little one, don't worry." Celestia said as she bent over and gave Eggette a kiss on her forehead, leaving the room after that to head for the court. She smiled to herself as she went down the quiet halls to the meeting room, it might have been a bit selfish to think this, but Eggette might have been a blessing for her, someone for her to get her mind off of Luna's banishment and to get her a bit more happy. She hoped that was the case at least, she would do her best to ensure that Eggette would be taken care of and that she would be a great girl growing up.

Author's Note

Hello there. I know I'm probably going to get shit for doing this, but I took a look at Eggette one day and I thought she was a cute little devil and I wanted to write something about her, so I did. I hope you understand, I wrote this purely for entertainment purposes, so yeah. Anyways, I'm hoping that I can do more of this as I am a fan of the Sonic franchise as a whole. The image down below is what I feel Celestia would look like in the world I've imagined here and a feel for what the other inhabitants of Equestria should look like.

All of that aside, I hope you all have a good one and I'll be back to write another day.
