-Origin Space, Arceus-

“What are the casualties like?” Yes my aspect was doing quite fine on the battlefield, it is quite unfortunate that I couldn’t help further on a mortal level.

I felt quite responsible for causing all of this, but I had put Moon Cell into a position where it can ultimately be destroyed instead of being the one that destroys.

“Since the Gilgamesh thing or Ransei coming under direct attack by Moon Cell… thousands and several kingdoms will need to rebuild ninety percent of their infrastructure. Fontaine won’t have that issue, but Illusio will be years since they lost Cerebrum.” Mew stated while putting on a pair of unneeded glasses and holding up a clipboard with a bunch of crayon drawings on it and no actual numbers. “If you’re talking the current battlefield being in Moon Cell’s inner domain battle lines with some of the best warriors that have ever been seen in the three realms… forty percent of the reinforcements that entered the battle are already badly injured. A good number of them are trying to recover at the fallback point that is the Counter Invasion Force’s base of Castle Alexander, that’s ours and the digital realms forces combined in total by the way. The Enemy Programs or EPs as they are being called are not individually impressive, but what they lack in quality they make up for in constant streams of quantity. Everyone is performing their part admirably, but it seems the influx of digit-bots from our digital allies are doing some pretty heavy lifting. Xerneas and Yveltal have picked up the souls of those servants and are sending them on their way while leaving you the cliff notes. Despite the number of those particular servants summoned, without their local planets from their original dimension they are at barely half their strength… Saturn however was ramping up past her normal abilities as an outlier. Pom’s moderate skills with a spear have proven helpful in that regard as it seems Saturn was never formerly trained from what I looked into when seeing her history of several deaths and rebirths. Our life and death duo is preventing Moon Cell from recalling any servants to the field that have been taken down.”

“It is rather unfortunate that we cannot get an eye inside the nexus.” There were some things that a god such as I couldn’t do, a number of them was overtly acting on the mortal level without causing problems. Surprisingly Moon Cell was barely within mortal level and the inside of its very Nexus was a blind spot for me. However if it actually does something above the peak reach of mortality that I could act on, then I simply would and otherwise Moon Cell was limited heavily by being unable to successfully summon or construct an apocalypse causing machine. The fighting was now left to the children of mine and Yggdrasil System’s realms, plus Pom and her friends. I needed a confirmation on something though. “Tell me, what is the bad news? While I could look into that myself, I am a bit busy controlling my aspect on the battlefield. The Goddess of Data, Yggdrasil System, surely watches all of this as well and already knows of such news.”

“The digital realm neighbors only have one remaining world anchor to Ransei left or else it will face total destruction.” Mew looked uncomfortable with what they had to say next. “It’s Moon Cell itself.”

“So if Moon Cell is destroyed, then…” Bahamut slowly stated. “Should someone tell them about that?”

“I’m sure Moon Cell will tell them itself to bargain for its continued operation as a last ditch effort.” A concerned Mew stated.

“Do not worry, everything is already in place…” I had already planned ‘well’ ahead of the eventuality that our digital realm neighbors were going to be endangered with extinction. A very precarious position to be put in indeed, but not something I could do anything about anymore. It was all entirely out of my hooves now. “Or at least I would like to hope that it is so.”

“Now when you say things like that…” A worried Mew stated.

“It is something to worry about.” Stated a bright colorful green wireframe tree appearing within Origin Space made of millions of one and zeroes, along with fewer twos, threes and was that a four? Oh Lady Yggdrasil how very feisty of you… I might even take it as a proposition. “I do not wish to lose one of my freshest branches so soon, there are so many variables in this one that I’m interested in seeing grow into the seeds of… something ‘more’.”

-Moon Cell Nexus, Core, Pom-

We just had to destroy the towering red spherical structure, the one that I could feel almost like an eye trying to crush me out of existence by thinking at me ridiculously hard.

On last servant, BB, then maybe we can finally go to Tambelon and get home... just had to survive this first.

I’ve come this far and grandpa tried to raise a quitter… unfortunately he failed horribly since here I am and not safely drinking tea far away from all this trouble in some kind of underground bunker built to survive the end of the world in a paranoiac fashion.

Lambkin were generally prone to pessimism, paranoia and a whole slew of psyche related problems, but have people really seen the odds I’ve had to deal with?! Why wouldn’t I have mental problems? Brave is not a definition I would use for me, not when I’m surrounded.

Though at this point I’d be surprised if I didn’t survive all of this, being emboldened after coming this far was kind of unlike me and I was starting to have hope of seeing my god puppies and Tianhuo again.

“Let’s go!” I started forward towards the charging BB with her rapier at the ready, as thousands of thickly packed EPs converged on our meager position.

(Music: Rising Sun, Strike Force Heroes)

I deflected BB’s first thrusting attack upward and tried to bring the naginata style blade of the current form of Rhongomyniad down on her.

BB evaded backwards with several quick steps and allowed several EPs to attack me. BB didn’t seem particularly fast, but her reaction speed to my actions was deceptively instant in the form of skill bordering on insane.

A few swift sweepings swings was all it took to cut down several incoming Berserker Vikings and Saber Knight EPs, I vaguely heard the gun fire from Hound Four and Dormarch tearing through EPs around me to give me space to fight the current servant that’s a problem.

She held her rapier at the ready.

“Copy…” BB stated as I closed in with her she thrust it and I dodged easily enough. “And Paste!”

BB created several lifeless eyed clones, very easy to tell them apart from the original by the dull look in their eyes, they immediately thrust their rapiers at me as soon as they appeared forcing me to frantically dodge back.

This nearly got me run through from behind by an Assassin Reaper. Thankfully Shiva splattered said Assassin Reaper EP out of the air with a blast of ice, I quickly had to dodge out of the way of a thrust from BB trying to stab at me while I was inattentive and I quickly downed a Saber Knight swinging a sword at me from the left.

There was almost too much to pay attention to and I seriously doubt we could attack the core directly while BB was active.

BB expertly dodged around the retaliatory stab I took at her as I avoided taking a Rapier to the chest and backed up as her copies spread out and tried to pincer me. I outranged her, maybe even had some speed on her, but the copies moved with the same strange grace that she seemed to… I noticed that her number of copies didn’t go further than five.

So not only do I have to deal with a servant I’m still trying to figure out, I’ll have to pay attention to the EPs around us, including the Moon Cell Watcher that fired a laser at me. I had thankfully already been leaping forward to slash my blade down at BB. The Moon Cell Watcher was taken out by a bolt of lightning from Ramuh a second later so I didn’t have to worry about that one in particular and the several others hanging around in the air somewhere.

Two of BB’s clones caught my blade and parried it upwards while two other BB’s slide forward try to aim at my kidney’s with stabs, I stepped back and nearly got slashed across the face by the fifth twirling around from the right and slashing upwards. BB herself performed a lunging thrust I deflected downwards and tried to pin against the metal flooring as I launched my left hind leg at her, she let go of her weapon and looked to think she evaded my attack… up until I launched a Thousand Spears by springing the wool on my hind leg.

BB got blown onto her back and I had to deal with several EPs swarming in at me, in general they were generic as far as EPs went and Moon Cell was likely only fielding elites given their speed and swift movements. Elites were more dangerous than the mass produced EPs, but the generic elites were still pretty weak and easily handled by me at this point since I knew what to expect.

Notably when the original BB got hit she lost her copies. Guess it was a poor idea to target her copies at all unless I had a good reason to, if it was anything like Quetal’s Substitute without the downsides… then I was going to have problems. Also I think Moon Cell picked up on the fact that I didn’t like piercing weapons given I noticed a sudden increase in Lancer Guardian EPs.

If all of the EPs here were elites, then they were not a match for servants as threat in a thousand to one ratio as far as I was concerned.

Elite Lancer Guardians are easy if you can get by their weapons natural defensive and offensive abilities, so I dodge left or right when they charged me or deflect their weapon up and stabbed them down. Elites had more skill and strength, but they lacked turning or reactionary speed given they generally attacked in straight lines. A row of five charging me was not a problem, deflect the center one stab down swing wide behind myself to catch the backs of the other four.

Elite Saber Knights were not good at wielding their shields, in general when they went for an attack they left themselves wide open the raising of their sword and swinging it was weakness if you were faster than they were. I was much faster after having slashed through ones torso and as such I speared the next Saber Knight through with ease as it tried to bring down its sword. Powerful defense, unless you knew where to strike them and I did know that.

Archer Seraphs could be taken down with a thrown rock, even the slightly more mobile elite version were a one hit KO. They were harder to hit and had better aim for sure, but were still as fragile as the normal version. A simple bark blast didn’t cost me much these days and I watched as it dissolved out of the air as tall walls of fire spread out nearby to take out a number of them, they could dish out a lot of damage, but they certainly couldn’t take it. Also the range on my first unique attack had improved a bit, Bark Blast is my oldest friend in combat even before I ended up on this journey.

An elite Berserker Vikings could hit harder while barely being faster than normal, however it wasn’t a good idea to be aggressive with them. I dodged backwards and once an axe collided with the floor, they were left wide open after putting all their strength into the chopping action which made them easy to dodge and counter attack. I felled the one still trying to recover from the force of its own strength and the forward blasting shockwave it created when hitting the ground. Attacking or blocking their weapon directly was dumb unless you can match or deflect their raw strength. I couldn’t match said strength and didn’t need or want to, as I slashed two more apart with a single blow to their neck and tore the last one asunder with a diagonal slash from its right shoulder to its left hip.

“Control Alternate Delete!” BB made herself known once more with a different technique, I was already inhaling to keep up with her two rapid fire swings and a sudden stab attempting to take me down with a strike to the heart.

“Something is off with you…” Having deflected the first two diagonal blows and then dodged following thrust, I couldn’t help but think something was off with her fighting style.

I knew she was a digital entity, the word Artificial Intelligent pretty much confirms it. I thought of all the people that helped me get this far, the friends I made in the digital realm, the Pokémon realm and more. A passing flittering thought when BB came at me with her next move.

“Copy and Ri-paste!” Sounds like the word riposte, which if what BB was saying… my eyes narrowed at what happened next.

She slashed forward at me and then went for the ‘alternate’ and then she tried to stab, results were the same, deflect, parry, and then… I leaned back avoiding the slash for my throat from a BB copy performing the same maneuver, I think I understood the full ‘Control, Alternate and Delete’ part of the attack now.

I dodge into the alternate swing downwards in the same way she had done the control, avoiding the BB that suddenly appeared on my left and using the clone BB I dodge by to block BB from coming at me and then I rolled forward and transformed the Rhongomyniad back into a parasol spear and opened the canopy to defend my back.

Had I not rolled forward I would have taken two slashes and a thrust to the back, like the thrust would have gone where my heart was or into a section of my spine to cripple me as three more BB’s appeared behind where I was holding position. They all turned to me as one, only one BB was faintly smirking and the other five had dull looks in their eyes.

Control, the first slash to engage the opponent. Alternate, follow up attack can repeat the same strike as Control or other slashing or even stabbing strikes basically Control was the set up for Alternate to create an opening. Delete was the most obvious part, find an opening and go for a kill, cripple or at the very least something damaging.

“You figured out that I could paste behind you, good… Splash Fount!” With an upward swipe and a twirl she came blazing at me as her clones disappeared, her right arm was a blur as she threw out hundreds of thrusts in seconds as she charged me.

She seemed entirely reliant on her rapier for battle, but she was quite skilled with it given she was giving me problems with dodging the hundreds or so stabs as she tried to pressure me away from the others as I frantically dodged her attacks. Each stab gave off a blast of friction and heat as I dodge it.

“Power gradation!” The blade stop stabbing forward and I watched as it hit the ground and BB slid it along the floor building up what I recognize to be digital energy from having watched Canard practice with it. She launched upwards as I blurred forward and around her rising attack. “Tri-slash!”

With a flicker and three lines traced in the air, I soon saw a spiraling green triangle coming at me. After rotating the Rhongomynia one hundred and eighty degrees, I blocked the attack with the canopy of the Rhongomyniad and went skidding back as if all three strikes of her swing hit me at once. I kept skidding until I clenched the floor with my wool.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear BB was copying someone else’s fighting style and using it to the best of her abilities in a clinical mechanical fashion.

“Done warming up?” If BB could make copies that could do any of her moves and she can summon them pointed in any direction within a given range… yeah this might require me to use my beast side. I don’t want to use it at all or if I did have to then the core was the thing that needed to be focused on, but she might not give me a choice in that matter.

The Rhongomyniad was going to be quite unwieldly for what was about to happen and I’m fairly certain the weapon was as light as it could feasibly get in my hooves. Rapiers were going to be a problem for me to actually fight against if BB was this skilled.

BB didn’t say anything as she swung around and raised her rapier in the same way she would for the ‘Splash Fount’ that reminded me of a flurry attack I could do. She charged forward at me rapidly jabbing at me making me backpedal until a subtle twitch of my ears made me lean to the left… instead of taking a sharp metal blade to back of my head tore a path across the right side of my muzzle.

Exhaling to enter a heightened state, I quickly caught the clones arm in the crook of my neck and twisting my whole body I angled the copies right arm into the path of the blade that was aiming for my ribs on the right. On the left I brought about the shaft of the Rhongomyniad and hefted upwards to stop me from being stabbed through my chest by that rapier.

Two clones left to deflect and I was pinned in a precious position, one leaping into the air and firing a triangle slash of green energy at me. This was clone from the back and to the left of me used the charging ‘Splash Fount’ attack which was a series of high speed rapier jabs that aimed to incapacitate an opponent that’s not wary, that or bloody them with as many puncture wounds as possible.

Using my wool’s current exoskeletal strength boost, I hefted the clone at my back upwards with my wool and continued my twisting motion to use the clone’s body to absorb the triangle of energy they took to the back.

I swung the clone’s body about force BB and the two nearby clones back before throwing the wool grappled clone into the path of the Splash Fount attack as I ducked out back and to the right.

Needless to say I immediately stitched up my bleeding face, this squirrel was quite terrifying with a rapier and I really couldn’t afford too many injuries with no healing in sight. A spear was not nearly fast enough to keep up with them given their weapon…

“AWRRROOOOO~!” I immediately entered beast state, we’ll work out how to deal with the core later.

Feeling the shift of my eyes and my disposition to becoming more aggressive. I also changed out the Rhongomyniad… remembering it wasn’t primarily a spear and could basically become what I needed within a given context.

So I turned it into a multi section double ended spear that could be worn as claw gauntlets that protected my withers from behind somewhat as it stretched across my back and down my front legs into claws. Several mist like wolves started forming around me and my wild eyes narrowed at BB, I had to keep it under control and stay focused.

BB snorted and then she performed a Splash Fount charging for me personally, while she drew my attention four clones appear to be firing off those ranged ‘Tri-Slash’ attacks. Two went at me and two were aimed to keep me corralled into position as I dodged away from the Splash Fount avoiding puncture, while the last clone was priming to do something…

With a thrust a conical shape of energy flew off the last clone, doing a technique BB hadn’t shown me yet. It was simple and created a powerful piercing lance shaped mass of energy, thankfully all it hit was a pair of glowing eyes of my disappearing resemblance.

BB was immediately on me and appearing to entering a Control, Alternate and Delete combo, I dodged the first strike and was beset from the left and right in front of me by the other two going into their own CAD combo. I blocked both their first two swings using the flexible claw gauntlets and then BB swung a second time at me after delaying for a bit and the three other came in to stab at me from behind and to the back left and right side as the two in front of me entered a stance for a strong stab.

They were going to time it so that…

Attack from the back, I dodged with a quick step to the left. They middle back will soon follow so the next course of action was to.

Front left attacks forward for my head, chest or neck. Turn around, dart forward while swing right claw forward…

I dodged under the back left clones attempt to stab me as I took it down the front left fell short of striking me from behind. I turned and lashed out in a continued sweep of the right gauntlet golden magical wolf claw at BB, forcing her to back off as I finished three more of her closest clones the closed in with me.

The last clone launched a spear shaped mass of energy in an attempt to stab me and they had been the one that had been in front and to the right of me not too long ago. I backed off and waited for BB’s next move and tried not to focus on ripping her throat open with my teeth flittering through my mind.

It was bad enough when I ripped off Saturn’s forearm outside of my brutality mode, I don’t need to continue to get worse while in it and using Wolf Fang Hoof.

“Hm, so many permutations to use…. maybe…” Mumbled BB as she recalled her remaining clone and lowered herself into a crouch while her tail flicked back and forth. She raised the rapier high and used her other arm for balance.

She came at me with a Splash Fount and then two more appeared performing splash fount from the back left and right, she was saving two clones for when I dodge. I wasn’t going to dodge away, instead I seemingly dodged into her attack and not that of her clones.

The rapid fire stabbing rush slammed into a facsimile of me in the form of an afterimage, BB looked curious and then my body faded away as several mist wolves leapt at her and she made two clones to lash out at them and then I made my move.

I launched off a Brute EP before it could slam its own rock like fists into its chest and tore it apart with my launch, crossing the distance towards BB.

BB saw me coming in from the corner of her eye and tried to interpose her rapier in my path. Instead I stopped dead in the air before making contact with the blade, enter a crouch and then pushed off the floor with a flash of golden glowing right claw that carved into the right side of her face as I leapt past her.

BB grunted as digital cubes started flowing from her face.

“System Restore… huh… System Restore! What?!” BB tried to do something, but it didn’t seem to work and her eyes widened as we looked at one another.

“Let me guess, immediate perfect healing?” The harsh shuddering at my words from BB told me as much, so if I hadn’t flipped to beast mode she would be just toying with me.

Instead BB just realized that she couldn’t afford to take hits from me, I don’t think she understood that I could even do damage to her that she couldn’t immediately recover from before now. There was now an uncomfortable fear as her face bled out digital energy, slowly the fear bled away to blank if focused stare.

“You might accomplish it... terrifying.” BB then came at me with the rapier and I saw the tip of the blade coming for my left eye.

Two blue sparks of the ghostly sheep form flew away as the illusionary wolf was shattered by the stab, I came at her from the left. She managed to reorient only to hit another shadow wolf a clone of her immediately formed at her back and did a ‘Power Gradation’ forcing me to flip back and received a stab through the back from another fast formed pale imitation copy.

In a second it was reveal that it was just yet another fighting spirit wolf that faded away and that BB had no idea where I truly was at the moment as several wolves started stalking from the fog that now swirled around her.

Forming five copies that started circling around her with their rapiers held in a defensive manner, BB’s flat emotionless face was showing more focus than it had a minute ago. As if she was going to spend the entire fight toying with me.

The growling wolves charged and leapt at her, each copy went into a Control, Alternate and Delete combo to defend against the growling wolves throwing themselves into a blender of blades as the five copies of BB defended her perfectly. Slash, slash and stab each one took down a misty wolf with perfect precision.

The BB copies all went to do a Tri-Slash while BB prepared herself for an energy lance stab, waiting for me to make a move on her. I was picking up all the particular movements enough to understand the style, she was going to try and blow away the fog I was creating to try and target me directly. Her attacks were graceful, but the problem was that they had a particular rhythm to them and any being of Equus can make use of said movements.

BB sent out the five triangles and the fog looked to be slashed in three blasts only moving it about.

Coming at BB from above she widened her stance and stabbed her energy lance attack from her weapon straight upwards. Inflating a portion of my wool, I rolled in the air out of the way and then let out a Howl Blast. Immediately the copies disappeared and BB being slowed down, she immediately entered a different stance with her rapier as I was trying to land and several shadowy wolves leapt at her.

“Splash Gradation.” BB intoned and faster than I could follow she made several twisting motions and created multiple distinct slashes in the air that perfectly took out every fighting spirit wolf I sent at her and created a flower like star symbol with her in the center. The spinning flower of slashes was just about done and following the end trajectory of her attack… her last stab would…

BB launched forward before I could finish my thought.

“AGH!” I had leaned to the right and took a deep stab wound to the upper portion of my left leg, the steel of her weapon digging into the meat of my bicep immediately had me wincing and leaping back to patch the wound with my wool. That was a little less wool going to my exoskeletal support structure and BB missed the protective armor going along the outer side of my legs.

I slashed out with my right claw and she quickly backed away from the flash of golden magic that launched a short distance away from me, clawing at the very air itself. I could only stitch myself together so much before my body gives out and I couldn’t handle the blood loss anymore, rapiers were not a good weapons for me to fight against.

“Maybe not.” BB stated dully as she charged energy onto her rapier to burn shut the bleeding digital coming out of her face wound.

I lunged forward and she did a ‘Power Gradation’ to meet my dropping right claw, we were blown back by the clash and I felt the wool on my back shift at the feeling of energy coming at me.

An Archer Seraph had almost gotten me in the back only for its attack to be deflected by a powerful glowing white shield, several Moon Cell Watcher beams bounced harmlessly off of shield as the larger dragon like Gallantmon strode forward.

That wasn’t what ‘Dragon Gallantmon’ looked like when I finished Saturn and left the battlefield outside, I watched as the Gallantmon spear the Seraph out of the air with a flaming chain attached her weapon. The large digital monster seemed to implode the create and a stream of digital energy flowed into the large figure before they swung their lance forward and cut through an entire crowd of EPs that had been at my back and closing in.

Gallantmon then proceeded to absorb all the energy from the destroyed EPs by raising the lance to draw it all in as they guarded my back without a word.

Turning my attention back to BB as she closed in and went into a Splash Fount motion of swinging the rapier upwards to charge forward doing a rapid fire series of attacks. I noted the feeling of several copies quietly forms around me as I charged directly into her Splash Fount attack and launched my own ‘Fiery Flurry’ to deflect each stab away from my body.

Sure my left leg was hurting from doing so, but I wanted to get in close enough to do some real damage. Unfortunately BB had other plans for me.

A Splash Fount came in from my right, a Tri-Slash came at me from the left, behind me a clone started up a Control, Alternate and Delete combo starting up with prepping their first slash. BB in front of me started up a Power Degradation by tapping the tip of her rapier against the ground for the rising slash. A copy from further away was in the middle of launching a Tri-Slash above me and looked to be immediately going into a second Tri-Slash afterwards.

There was one copy that wasn’t fielded yet… another box in attempt trying to make it so I had no options. Unfortunately for her I was quick witted and knew some of my techniques forward… and backwards!

“Wolf Buster!” I blasted myself backward with an angled pillar, deflected the initial slash of the Control Alternate Delete off the bent part of the currently Rhongomyniad bit of metal going along my right leg. I slammed my left claw behind me with a rotating downwards swipe until I gutted the copy behind me and used their still physical form to shove her to my left to take the triangle slash, started deflecting the Splash Fount stabs from my right with my right gauntlet. “Okay you are?”

One snap kick with my left hind leg, after catching the blade in the claw, I took the head off that copy of BB stopping her rushing Splash Fount attack.

I rolled to the right to avoid the rising slicing power of the rising Power Degradation attack and due to my positioning when BB called in a new fresh copy it got taken out by the second Tri-slash as I pivoted and twirled away from their attempt to take out my left kidney.

Four copies were suddenly around me, all prepping an energy lance stab with their rapiers. The copies were far more instantaneous than I had anticipated. The distant one was rushing forward

“Incoming!” Canard shouted as he took out two of the problem BB copies with a digital energy covered hockey stick blade to their heads, allowing me to evade the two attacks as he changed targets to dealing with an Assassin Reaper lunging for my back. “Keep it up, we’re a team that has each other’s backs!”

Everyone else around me was too busy to help me much further than for more than a few seconds and I was already dodging several thrusts from BB and two copies and dodging another Tri-Slash from the slightly distant copy.

I then stopped suddenly and didn’t move, BB tried to capitalize on what was supposedly me waiting to go on the attack. When she got a moment from the frantic fighting in the air with the odd larger Gallantmon, Dolly thankfully shot the slightly distant copy and stopped the next Tri-Slash from incoming, said copy might have given away my trap otherwise.

BB’s copies came in at me and suddenly stopped moving, BB herself was frozen mid stab and she tried to jerk her blade forward into my left eye, but couldn’t and then her eyes widened as she saw a shimmer in the air, the reason why she couldn’t form three more BB’s is because strings of wool were spread out over a wide area like a spider web.

I decimated the two copies and tightened my wire wool on BB as she immediately tried to free herself with her rapier. The thing about the rapier was that it wasn’t magical, it was bog standard if fancy looking metal weapon.

The mist wolves, unaffected by my golden wool threads spread about over as wide an area as I could to prevent BB from spawning any copies nearby, immediately charged forward and started to leap at and claw BB.

BB took several injuries to her arms trying to free herself from the sharp wire wool or deal with the mist like wolves generated by my fighting spirit. It took several jabs and precisely angling her blade, but she managed to do it, again my wool was weak to piercing attacks and a rapier still fit the bill when BB was angling her weapon with precision to cut through it.

BB backed away and glared at me as several mist wolves stalked around me and I pulled back the web of wool to myself, the servant already knew what to look for so I couldn’t get away with causing those kinds of injuries again. I calmly backed into the fog I generated concealing my movements.

Starting to inhale, I was trying to think of a way to take BB down. Physically she’s not got much more than reaction time at a short range around herself and the only reason why I haven’t dealt with her despite her having what amounts to a regular or a digital equivalent weapon.

The fighting going on around me was getting even more pitched with Shanty showing up and cleaving her way through a number of EPs and getting a update by Dormarch stopping to talk to her. I really had to finish off BB soon, because we couldn’t exactly ignore her or any servant present if we went after the core directly.

Lunging to the left as I sent a fresh wave of misty wolves at BB from the front, she once again created a lot of copies to defend against them.

Having BB and most of her copies distracted and looking in a given direction allowed me to burst forth from the mist, I sharply exhaled and it only took a split second of inattention for me to slam my teeth into her right leg and topple her onto her face while tearing out a chunk of her leg as I passed by her, thus disabling copies.

Rearing up, I tried to bring my claws down on her for a follow up.

Bringing down my claws, I missed as BB rolled out of the way and stabbed up at me forcing me to retreat on my hind legs. Neither of us left the interaction unscathed.

I may have missed my chance to maul her with my gauntleted hooves, but I still scored a bit of damage to her right side as she rolled to the left and I took a stab wound to my right hind leg as I backed off. She was having problems standing so this was about over.

“Moon Healing Prism… wait why didn’t it work?” Was that Sailor Moon? Oh please don’t tell me she’s going to… “Oh right, I’m supposed to say it like… Moon Healing Escalation!”

Within a second glowing bright white, BB’s injuries completely healed. Yeah, I think Moon needed to have her soul freed now, just so I could avoid having to fight BB at full strength a third time.

“See, I’m not useless!” Moon stated haughtily.

“Well you do have your uses…” Luna admitted before Dormarch bisected the cat with a frequency wing blade.

“Could someone take out Sailor Moon, please?” I asked in a grumbling and growling angry wolf like manner as I faced down a refresh BB with several spirit wolves coming out of the mist I started producing.

“I’m on it, Yell Dead Cell!” Assassin Snake the Caerbannog stated as he pulled out a rocket launcher almost as if out of nothing.

“A rabbit with a rocket launcher, well now I’ve seen a lot of things.” There was a small pause as a rocket flew towards Moon’s face and it took a few seconds for her to realize and dodge it. “Oh no a rabbit with a rocket launcher that’s trying to kill me?!”

Moon was soon on the move with Snake chasing after her.

BB formed five copies and each one readied their respective rapiers. I huffed and puffed and was ready to tear her a new one again. The purple haired squirrel didn’t say anything, but she did give me a faint pitying look.

The BB and her copies all charged me.

“Now Lit!” All the copies were immediately decimated and BB was hit with a lightning blast, then BB found herself taking a vicious number of claw slashes from my spirit wolves to her legs and lower half of her body.

“Splash Gradation, I really dislike bugs.” BB recovered rather quickly from being stunned and fended off the wolves from my fighting spirit with her rapier in a series of slashes to etch a star into the air in front of herself instead of around herself this time, at least she didn’t come flying at me.

“Squeak!” The little yellow hero raised his two tiny front legs and made a menacing gesture, but the sound of his squeak just made him sound just as adorable as he looked and it was hard to take a menacing gesture from him as something to be intimidated by given his tiny size. If you knew that he’s done several things that would be impossible for any other Joltik, then you should definitely be afraid.

Lit had just jumped off of Metal Hound Four to come assist me at Dolly’s behest as she did a flyby, apparently he crawled in when Dolly let me off to face BB according to her.

Dolly was having any problems getting closer to Moon Cell’s core, we still had too few people here and we barely had enough to even get near the core without being eviscerated by a constant aerial screen of Moon Cell Watcher’s and a variety of other flying EPs.

I wouldn’t hold back and neither would Lit as we moved to face BB together, though I was close enough to doing it on my own I wasn’t very prideful and would take all the help I could get.

“If you can give me an opening Lit, I’ll do my best to finally finish her off in one last move.” I was hurting and healing wasn’t coming any time soon, if anything those on the battlefield outside the nexus were more likely to get healing than I was.

I was just going to go full tilt and hoped whatever Moon Cell had as a last ditch effort wasn’t nearly as troubling as BB was being, that and I was going to make sure that BB couldn’t be taken back immediately by Moon Cell.

BB was very effective for not being able to move as fast as I could, but what she lacked in mobile speed she made up for short range agility bordering on highly predictive.

I was angry enough to pull it off and I was going to save BB’s soul too, I wasn’t letting Moon Cell have her or any other soul trapped in it back.

Leaping forward with the Rhongomyniad gauntlets at the ready, five copies formed with BB and they all targeted me.

Two of the copies were immediately wiped out by a single bolt and BB barely dodged the lightning by ducking, said lightning chained its way through hundreds of EPs beyond her that were trying to encroach on us. The lightning also caused that static white and black specks to start appearing the air where the blast had traveled through the air, I think that was happening from the sheer power Lit was putting out.

Where before BB was willing to not pay any attention to Lit, now her and the four copies tried to strike Lit out of the air as he lunged for her and zipped about with a green glow wrapped around him to dodge the rapid fire jabs and slashes of panic.

They couldn’t for the life of them hit Lit, he was both small and insanely fast. With their precision attacks the BB brigade should have been able to at least tag him.

When Lit did stop in the air, two more freshly summoned copies along with BB and the three present copies stabbed at him all at once…. only to find all their swords stuck fast by a decorative bit of hexagonal webbing.

Lit had somehow stuck some webbing to each sword as they attacked him and when they all thrust the sword at him, he created a trap for all their weapons that held them fast in place and they couldn’t even let go as they realized their hands were now webbed to the hilts of their ‘metal’ weapons.

If I remember right Lit’s webbing was also highly conductive for his needs and he was a little ‘trap monster’ hero of a tick. As a clearly proactive ambush predator, being able to capably be so mid combat, I was glad he was on my side.

Lit, with a particular look in his eyes, lazily raised his front right leg while lying on his left side next to the center of the crossed rapiers and highly decorative webbing.

BB gave him an incredulous look at having been absolutely outsmarted by Lit as she tried to jerk her sword out of the trap. The webbing on blade didn’t flex very much at all.

Lit gave me a look as the raised leg sparked and then it slowly lowered the blue tipped leg with a glowing dot filled with barely contained raw power, how much lightning power was compressed at the tip of that tiny terrors little blue leg right now and would a pegasus even have enough resilience to survive the amount that had all my wool feeling quite off?

The area grew white with the flash when Lit’s leg tapped the center of webbing and the point all the rapiers met.

When my vision cleared, the BB copies were gone and BB was blasted back. That she still managed to land on her feet after that was amazing, she was looking quite stunned with arcs of energy coming off of her and her tail looked ridiculously puffed out.

“Good job Lit!” I got a happy squeak from the floor in return as I focused and moved forward, several misty wolves took up position around her in a circle and then… “Wolf Fang Hoof, Full Feral Flurry!”

“Sy-sy-ssystteeeemmm…. Err-rr-rrrorr error….” BB looked to be paralyzed, I wouldn’t get a better chance than this.

With a blur and a sharp exhaled, glow claw swipes flew from me as I tore BB limb from limb. Anyone looking at me from the outside probably saw a swirling vortex of golden of lines and when I stopped, I had gripped onto what I assume to be a frightened BB’s soul.

I charged as much magical energy into it suffusing the soul with my golden energy.

Tossing the soul away, I watched is it quickly flew away under my protective anti-magic wrapped around it, I could almost feel something like remorse.

I tried to move and then felt complete and utter agony. It was more than just me pulling muscles in my body and I looked at the source of the pain after I fell over.

BB got one last attack off despite taking a painful amount of energy… she broke my right hind leg and the rapier currently buried in it was quickly disappearing.

(Music end)

“BAAAAAGGGHHHH?!” Thankfully nobody understood cursing in the form of bleating. All the muscles in my bodies were hurting after that and my broken right hind leg left me a sitting duck if I didn’t do anything. I gritted my teeth as tears sprung into my eyes blinding me to what was happening around me. “L- pro...tect…”

That had to be enough for Lit to understand, because even talking hurt right now. Once the weapon finished dissolving away with BB’s defeat. I felt my beast mode immediately wear off and quickly started to shape my wool.

Lit was immediately next to me and was trying to create some webbing and I shook my head no and nodded to the EPs coming at me while I was downed. My little buddy whined, but squeaked in understanding and hopped into the air to blast back the incoming enemy.

I felt my right hind leg with my right hoof. Oh yeah, that wasn’t a clean break at all.

With how fast I had been moving… it felt like she almost shattered my entire femur. I could feel chunks of bone shifting inside my flesh, I felt Dolly trying to comfort my agony and Dormarch trying to reach me.

I asked not to come to me, but to continue what he was doing. Instead, I asked Dormarch for his medical scan of my body in its natural state. He quickly gave it to me wondering what I was about to do.

First order of business, calm down… extreme amounts of pain is nothing new to me. I needed to concentrated and feel every inch of the inside of my leg.

This was going to hurt a lot, but I wouldn’t be able to get safely off the battlefield this deep into enemy territory.

Controlling my wool I gently as possible inserted it into my right hind leg where the rapier pierced it while covering the circular hole with as much wool as possible in the form of a synthetic skin patch. Well wool was technically skin. I’m also glad the lanolin on my wool was anti-bacterial and medical purposes… that would be very helpful right now.

Every movement of my hind leg sent a fresh wave of intensely unpleasant pain through it, there were knives, there was acid, there was knives dipped in acid, there was knives dipped in acid on the sun, then there was my current level of pain threatening to black me out.

I needed to do this or else my leg might never recover. I had every strand of wool in my leg grab every bit of bone and start to reorient them back into position, some chunks of bone were missing and I looked behind me.

After grabbing the missing chunks of bone with my wool, I pulled them back through the wool patched hole and into my body to carefully rearrange the chunks. I created a lattice work around the bone and then started to gather a massive amount of wool around my right hind leg.

I pieced my leg bones back together with my wool and then took some more of Dormarch’s medical knowledge of medical surgery procedure I could do on such short notice. Without this I wouldn’t be able to get up or move about at all.

Slowly Dormarch ran me through the instructions of the necessary surgery I wanted to do when he gave me the options, thankfully he agreed with the surgery in question and was surprised I was capable of feasibly replicating the same effects with my wool while possibly making it far less painful. Dormarch was doing this even as he tore through a horde of Elite Berserker Brute EPs trying to charge for me, he was getting pretty tired and splitting his concentration to walk me through a much needed medical procedure wasn’t helping.

Having finished the wool surgery, under duress of EPs suddenly becoming very interested in my existence all of the sudden, I carefully pressed my right hind leg up to my belly and chest, then wrapped it in more wool.

I created an immovable cast and now my right hind leg could not be moved, but my goodness was it going to hurt having to fight like this with only three viable legs with all the current pained whimpering I was doing.

Standing up, I tried to ignore the feeling of my right hind leg trying to move even if I wasn’t trying to do so, agonizing, but it was workable as long as my wool stayed entirely stiff around it.

Taking a few uneasy steps, walking on three legs was going to be a problem, especially when it was one of my hind legs that out of commission. Lit leapt on to me to continue protecting me and I started to limp forward, I can’t fight on my hinds legs any more so that was a major problem.

Still I continued forward towards the core while seeing other people still fighting was heartening even if they were all likely exhausted. There was also another problem, I was distinctly not looking at the golden wool that now covered my tail, I had overdrawn too much to shield BB’s soul with my magical energy and set her free of Moon Cell.

“Summoning emergency servant.” A blank, almost monotone, voice with no masculine or feminine inflection. It came from the large red orb or towering oval at the center of this large spherical space. Yes, still slowly walking in its direction was me with some sense of determination. “Calling now, estimate time to full summon, one minute… applying distraction algorithm set to allow servants full appearance uninterrupted. Gravity to zero equals yes, defense program floating rocks, normal, laser, rocket propelled and barrier variants. Display setting space.”

Slowly a large framework for a series of orbs started to appear within a pillar of light, like watching a parade float being built. Whatever the servant was it was going to be absolutely huge as it was forming quickly.

It didn’t take long before I started to float off the floor and rocks started appearing everywhere, some were encrusting the core like an outer layer of armor, others were being generated with those constant laser beam emitters as they rotated, the rocket ones were the ones we evaded on the way in at a guess, but they’d hard to be tell apart from the normal floating rocks.

The entire lit grey sphere suddenly changed to present everything as if we were all in space, if it could do all of this why didn’t it just suck the oxygen or breathable atmosphere out of this space?

“Squeak!” Lit had alerted me to the fact that several of the slowly rotating beam emitting rocks were slowly moving a number of beams in my general direction, not very subtly placed to kill me in an expedient manner. Of course they were.

Dolly and Dormarch were too dug into the enemy forces to come when I called.

“Ngghhh… L’…” Even trying to say his name hurt and my right hind leg twitched badly in the wool sheath I had it in. “Steer.”

Lit crawled onto my forehead and looked down into my left eye curiously, I inhaled and then exhaled flames to send us rocketing weightlessly at the core. He had a look of understanding immediately afterwards.

Moon Cell really doesn’t want me near its core and I should make myself as much of a target as possible as the blast of flames helped me evade a number of beams to pass harmlessly through where I had been floating as we flew towards the swirling asteroid field of deadly rocks. The rocks did not turn to chase me with their beam emitters… ah so they couldn’t track and only rotated on a preset manner they had bene summoned in. This still made Moon Cell’s Core excessively dangerous, especually if you didn’t have a defensive measure against the defenses it create on the spot.

It almost felt like Gravity Gorge back on Elhorn all over again, only this time I was truly weightless and the gravity wasn’t pulling me in all directions threatening to tear my body apart. We were moving pretty fast and the Moon Cell Watchers were approaching and about to fire on us, Lit managed to safely blast them with a chain of lightning before they could.

A quickly fired a string of webbing and a pull later, Lit changed our trajectory sideways and he motioned to me from his position on my nose. I exhaled flames from my mouth quickly to avoid the incoming Heli-troopers as we entered the floating field of rocks. Said propeller gauntlet troopers were used the exhaust to fly and the spinning blades to move around more finely and possibly block projectiles.

I had little idea as to what I could do to damage Moon Cell, it was kind of too enormous to… unless my even just getting close to it damaged it by proximity. It seemed my anti-magic was making it experience problems and the world was shaking as my glowing form got to a halfway point.

Well I could fire Rhongomyniad beams, but having half my tail covered in golden wool makes me reluctant to use too much magic. Dancing Flame was easy enough, for the fire breathing wasn’t intensive and reliant on my talent at the technique.

-A tunnel near the Moon Cell’s Core, Jeanne D’Arc-

“Well that’s going to be a problem…” I just became a Kommo-o and the world went crazy, also what was that thing? “Ocellus, can you hear me…? Darn it, our technology is not working in here or its Moon Cell’s doing. At least I know Pom’s and the others locations… she’s actually trying to approach that large revolving wall of rocks encasing something red. That must be the core!”

Stretching a claw forward beyond the exit of the tunnel and I immediately felt the difference between the tunnels with that strange monster of a small house we ran from down a different tunnel. Pom’s signal pretty much told us she was alive, but not in what condition.

“Ideas anyone?” Feeling the loss of weight and fighting in it were two different things, we were not prepared for this.

“Can we secure the route? Anyone going out there better have the ability to fly in some way that involved propulsion.” One of the Hakamo-o said. “Our fallback point should be doing well since those blue APs came in, if we secure a route we can send in more help against whatever that large green thing is.”

-Core Asteroid Field, Pom-

I poked my head from behind a rock and nearly got it blasted off by a laser, why did Moon Cell even create regular flying rocks and not weaponized all of them? Were we… were we actually causing that many problems to it?!

(Expectancy Part 2, Pizza Tower)

“Servant successfully summoned, Class Kaiju… name, Vector Man. Function… cleaning robot, lifeform cleaning included.” Announced Moon Cell, didn’t Dolly once say that Kaiju were… oh that is a colossus of a robot. There is no way I could fight that thing in a straight fight, even if I didn’t have a shattered leg. I heard Dolly make idle commentary of dying to a fifty story horror or bigger being on her bucket list.

Two half circle feet. Small black floating orbs that look to be representing ankles above them. Above those is two orbs that looked to be knees and two slightly bigger orbs at the bottom of a globe like torso that look like they’d be part of the hips. Said large slightly triangular round torso had two orbs acting as shoulders that were directly connecting to it, the top of said torso was a slightly flat round head that suddenly lit up with two blood red eyes that filled the air with a horrible sickly red color and the only other thing connected to its main body. From the shoulders were small black spheres acting as the upper arms, leading into large green spheres as the elbows, to more black spheres acting as the forearms and finally to the pair of hands that were orbs that folded out were in three flaps creating three large fingers, at the center of its palms were masses of glowing energy.

The large monstrosity made of hovering orbs took several steps forward, then surprisingly did a stance with two bunny ears raised high on what passed for both its hands while lowing its head. It stood up straight and started to stalk into the floating rock field its eyes narrowing on me, the rocks didn’t impede it’s movements at all and were bouncing off the thing.

Always the priority target me…

“Please hold… error… please hold… error… please hold… error~.” Moon Cell almost sounded like it was singing. Something changed from ominous building sized death robots stare to something… weirder in Vector Man’s eyes as it stalked forward. “Please no… error…. err-err-err-error-error-error-error…. please no, error~! Please hold~. Pleas no, error~! Please Hold~! You want, you don’t want, you want, you don’t want, YOU want, you DON’T WANT, error-ERROR~?!”

As soon as it started singing something went very off with Vector Man as I kept breathing fire and Lit kept steering us around rocks, further up and away from the floor bound behemoth. As it started… dancing?!

Twirling around like a ballerina Vector Man spread out its arms and then started firing massive burst of energy from its palms everywhere. Was this something Moon Cell couldn’t currently control or worse… couldn’t control at all?!

“You want, we don’t want, you want, we don’t want, you want, we don’t want-you… at all, at all~!” I’m pretty sure that was directed at me by Moon Cell, as we tried to avoid the fast flying blasts of energy and the EPs around us. The giant robot monster was out of control and doing a… Mosscow folk dance? Also sending huge blasts of energy into the meteors it kicked at us.

I exhaled as much flames as I could as several rocks threatened squash us or bounce into us by the weird giant dancing mass of orbs.

Lit grappled us to another asteroid and then I watched as the giant robot swirled around one leg with its left hand over its eyes as if looking for something, it stopped and it’s right palm was aimed for. I kicked off the asteroid with my left hind leg and a white beam ripped through everything between us and the freaky giant robot made of orbs.

“Dolly’s coming for us, we just have to hold out a little longer and get me closer to the core.

“We have… ERROR~! We have… we have ERROR we have~! We know you don’t want, you know you don’t want, we know you don’t want error-ERROR~!” Why wouldn’t we want errors Moon Cell, seems like a good thing to me, but it seems like it’s trying to say there’s a reason we wouldn’t want them… like an insane dancing robot that’s causing chaos and… what was going on with the Moon Cell Watchers?

They usually stuck to red beams, but now the Moon Cell Watchers were firing green, purple, brown, yellow and even hot pink… it was kind of disturbing and they were even attacking each other. Was me being this close to the core just that bad? A Heli-trooper coming for us randomly yelling constantly while holding up two grenades and exploded violently destroying our cover for the dancing robot that was mimicking a one person tango.

He aimed his forward stretched right palm at us and blasted away, I loosed as much fire from my mouth as I could and Lit steered us to safety with his webbing. I felt the amount of energy in those things as they flashed past us and we narrowly evaded into the safety of a patch of rocks.

Maybe… just maybe, Moon Cell might have a point that we may not want these ‘errors’ to continue, but I’m more of the opinion we needed to end this monstrosity once and for all.

Lit reeled the both of us towards another asteroid as white Saber Knights were coming at us with what I recognize to be jetpacks… okay that’s new and terrifying. What was also terrifying was that they raised their swords long before they got in range of us and why were they glowing long pink, lethal looking, energy blades now?!

The Chaos might be working a little in our favor, but it was getting weird when green heavily armored EP Troopers with singular giant yellow eyes gunned down the Saber Knight flying. One of the Saber Knights helmets flew past us and they had a strange V-shaped antenna on them now.

“You want, you don’t want, you want, you don’t want… anchor-ANCHOR~!” Anchor… why would Moon Cell be mentioning the word anchor?

Wait… as in the anchors that hold the digital world to the Pokémon realm? Why, what did Moon cell do to them if anything at all?!

I couldn’t think on that long as Dolly’s Metal Hound Zero Zero Four flew in, with both its legs horrible mangled. Arguably the least important thing on the armor while it’s in flight, so good on Dolly for using them as a viable shield and it looks like she protected the weapons on it well enough… but the rest of it was fairly damage.

I managed to clamber on with Lit clinging to me and Dolly swiftly jetted away avoiding a series of powerful blasts, more rocks started forming and immediately started flying at us on rockets attached to their backs.

Gallantmon showed up and blocked the volatile rocks with her shield and the subsequent energy blasts from Vector Man that caused the glow on the shield to crack slightly before it fixed itself. Those blasts seemed to surprise Frizzle a lot.

“Pom what happened to your leg?” Wait… was that Dazzle’s voice at a high pitch? What’s going on anymore?!

“It’s okay, it’s under my wool, it’s been shattered and broken… we all need to focus on taking out the core!” Hitting the talk all button on my headset I heard affirmatives from Shanty, Canard, the Dazzle… Frizzle double voiced Gallantmon and even Dormarch wanted to help with that.

Canard was riding with Sami, Shanty had Dodo who didn’t seem to mind the lack of gravity at all and Favela would be a big help in the situation if he lost his propulsion and I had no idea how Gallantmon was moving about so swiftly as to deal with the enemy EPs that seemed to be trying to focus on me.

Only Dormarch wasn’t showing up as he was currently trying to save some arriving people that followed us into the Nexus that got stuck in the zero gravity environment… such a good boy. He also picked up Snake who hadn’t managed to kill Moon, despite his best efforts and those were some pretty insane efforts according to Dormarch. So Sailor Moon was still at large and something to worry about.

All these strange effects only are only happening around the core space, Dormarch was confused as to why some of the EPs were turning on themselves and mentioned something about ‘suppressed coding’ he was receiving information on through his unusually acquired spirit core. Something about… A Moon Cell unfinished Holy Grail war? It was data Moon Cell apparently didn’t want getting out.

Dolly flew us forward and Gallantmon was tanking a few shots from the behemoth that was spinning on its head and doing weird breakdancing moves I’ve seen Shanty use several times. It was still accurately shooting a third of its shots almost right at us to actually be random, in fact I think was trying to kill us while looking cool doing it and that was a hard feeling to get rid of in this particular situation.

It was almost as virulent a feeling as the Berserker Magitek Moogle representing the concept of dumb muscle.

As long as Dazzle-Gallantmon? Anyway, as long as they didn’t take too many hits to their shield it could apparently recover from the massive blows that almost knocked them back into us. Everything was distorting and the black space aesthetic disappeared for random colors shaped like alphabet letters.

“Please stop, ErRoR~! PleASe sToP~! Please stop ERROR Can’t StOp~! You know can’t want, you know you don’t want, you know can’t want… ANCHOR ERRROR~!” Anchor error… what was Moon Cell trying to tell us here? I tried to focus on those two words when Hound Four hit something and I hadn’t exactly anchored my wool to it.

I went flying three legs flailing, EPs were fighting everywhere now and the absolute bedlam got worse the closer to the core I was… wonder what would occur if I touched it? I quickly breathed out some flames and avoided being blasted by white hot energy from the colossal evil dancing robot, I’m pretty sure a single hit from that is instant death in this case and have only been lucky so far to have avoided such a fate.

I used Thousand Spears from my working hind leg to kick off another floating rock as it was blown apart.

Was that the robot doing a jitterbug when it just shot at me just now? It was actually kind of mesmerizing to watch how it was trying to kill me really.

“You want, you can’t want, you want, you can’t want, you want, you can’t want… FATAL-ERROR~!” It seemed to be getting the worse the closer I got which was good because I was using my one good rear leg to kick off an asteroid and avoid a shot from the robot that look like he was flossing his teeth using his legs as the teeth? “Please no, ACK~! Please, no please~! P-Please no, ACK… please no please GARAABAARABABABABGLEE, dzzrrto you wonnt it sssall~?!”

Okay now Moon Cell started sounding horribly messed up, it was almost like it was offering me something, but I couldn’t quite make out what. I’m already set in my course to destroy it hearing how many civilizations its ruined there was no way I’d bargain with it now.

“Please take at, please take me, please take at, please take me~! AAGGHGHGHAAHGHGHHAAGGAGAGGAAGHHHH… do you want control-ol-ol~?!” It managed to get its pained screeching under control long enough just to ask me if I wanted to take control of it.

At this point it sounded like it was begging for its life considering how much Pain Moon Cell seemed to be in just by me getting a little closer to it, it even sound terrified of me. I’m not surprised if this thing ran on malicious magic.

It was holding the digital world hostage wasn’t it? While trying to convince me not to destroy it in any way it could, but I actually learn from history… and considering the history we all met getting to this point? Yeah, no, after hearing what happened to Sailor Moon’s Moon Kingdom, I think it was better that we don’t let this heartless thing continue to exist any further.

Provided we survived the dancing Vector Man long enough for us to destroy the core, which was currently bouncing its head between its two hands oddly, we could stop the suffering at its source right here and now. Unfortunately I was kind of pinned down behind a floating rock by a swarm of rotating beam spewing rocks and EPs of iffy allegiance and could be blown apart at any time that Vector Man thing decides to ultimately stop goofing around and acting incredibly weird it wasn’t just attacking me it was attacking everything including Moon Cell’s hovering barrier of rocks floating around it.

That’s when Vector many did the laziest thing and did Jazz Hands in my general direction, I kicked off and Gallantmon intercepted a blast before it could hit me. Sami swooped in and fired off some missiles at Vector Man’s eyes and grabbed me to avoid the retaliatory disco dancing to point blasts at us.

The missiles did no damage, wasn’t Sami currently a Mega level Digimon? Is that thing practically

“Grav-set… ERROR~! Grav set to want one, do want, to want one, ERROR ERROR~!” Suddenly Moon Cell turned the gravity back on and it caused Sami to drop me and Canard as she went spiraling out control. “Grave flux, ERRORRP{PPPERRRRRAGAHGHAHHHHGAGGG- Err-ror-ror-ror~!”

We were now rapidly switching between falling towards the floor and stopping in the air, with a burst of digital energy while we were weightless Canard grabbed me around the waist and tried to get us on one of the unaffected floating rocks, only to fall short we started accelerating to terminal velocity into entirely different floating rock.

I inflated as much of my wool as I safely could with my injuries and then gravity decided to stop and we were now both falling upwards. Then sideways for a few seconds towards Moon Cell’s Core?

The walls of this massive spherical space now had a bunch of numbers and… colorful caricatures of living clay people? My eyes were beginning to hurt from all the searing colors of the beams flying around, it was like there was a kaleidoscope of magic going off in here and a unicorn filly was doing crayon drawings on reality!

Highly technological societies splayed across the walls, a fantasy realm with dragons that were very much odd looking, a world of caveman with foot powered vehicles and more of these images were starting to change too rapidly around us to keep up with. I really had to stop looking at the walls.

My head was even starting to hurt as we fell closer to the floor but gravity decided to be at half strength for this. If I didn’t know any better I swear Moon Cell was trying to give us seizures through epilepsy.

We were low enough that Vector Man skipped towards us like a happy school little girl from Neihpon with a happy expression in his rather terrifying rectangular glowing red eyes. He raised his right foot above us and Canard boosted us away and I exhaled flames from my mouth to assist him, a powerful burst of energy blew out of the bottom of Vector Man’s foot. It nearly tore us from existence with a massive raw pillar of energy.

Vector Man seemed upset that it missed us and why was I beginning to distinctly feel that I know what Vector Man’s emotions were. Was I going insane? If these are the kind of defenses you can expect from Moon Cell, I can see why no one’s destroyed it before. Vector Man itself was terrifying enough as a giant green mass of orbs on its own.

I lashed out and grabbed a rock, this one had a rocket that didn’t seem be firing off as me and Canard slammed against it. Vector Man seemed to be more focused on our friends flying in the air, especially after a hurtling floating rock struck his face making him stumble. It took his attention off of firing the jets from his left foot as us, if those massive foot beams could be called jets.

Vector Man seemed entirely unaffected by all this craziness on top of being crazy himself, given he now turned into a four legged thing with a scorpion tail that fired a beam that carved through everything except Gallantmon’s beam as the others tried to reach us.

“Come on Pom, I don’t know what you’re doing, but its working! We need you to get closer to the core.” Canard yelled over the chaos of the EPs picking fights randomly, we clambered up on top of the rock just as gravity returned to normalcy for us, but not the floating rocks apparently… oddly EPs started slamming into the floor and exploding like fireworks as if they were experience gravity worse than we were.

“I’m afraid I can’t let you do that, in the name of the Moon… cell… I will punish…?!” Moon ceased existing when backhanded and Luna soon faded away despite avoiding the deadly backhand by the massive green orb fist we narrowly avoided.

The fist tore the floating rock we were on in half, no rubble, no debris, just evaporated half of the thing in an instant, Sailor Moon died instantly after being so problematic to kill.

Just poof, gone… completely obliterated to a kata dance Vector Man was now doing and he was about to perform a… Fleet Cunning Doe crane kick. Suddenly Canard and I were ripped from the surface of the rock by Hound Four scooping onto the top of its claws as it flew forward.

An entire section of the rock field was destroyed by a left leg flexing straight upwards while firing off a solid mass of white destructive energy.

Hound Four was far worse looking even worse than it had been a… wait, has it only been five minutes since Vector Man showed up?! Time felt like it was starting to warp in here, we needed to finish Moon Cell off fast if that was the case!

Sami, Gallant Dazzle and Dodo were busy trying to harry Vector Man, nothing they did could damage him… not even Gallantmon could, even with an apparent boost from whatever happened between Dazzle and Frizzle.

Vector Man went into a flamenco dancing blast beams of energy out of his feet and then twirled to pretend he was throwing a rose. Instead he threw an energy blast that tore off the right wing, Dolly barely avoided it directly taking us out proper by hitting Hound Four in the back dead center.

“Guys… I’m losing control here!” We can see that Dolly.

“Set it to self-destruct and eject, leave it to ram into the exposed sections of Moon Cell’s core.” I’m just going to have to say sorry Dolly, but… we needed to do some damage somehow and even you had to admit Hound Four was finished as a combat armor. “Once, you’re out come get on my back Dolly, drop us on that floating rock!”

Canard and I were dropped and the still barely stable flying Hound Four started flickering yellow, as Dolly carried out the actions.

“Ding… ding… ding-ding-ding-dingdingdingdinBRRRRNNNN… Waboom!” The noise Hound Four made before it’s destruction as rather fitting somehow.

Dolly had ejected out of the armor in a stylish fashion by somersaulting while spinning and then used her board she took control of her momentum to steer her way back for us. She reached us as Metal Hound Zero Zero Four slammed into Moon Cell’s Cored and blasted a huge chunk of it. Still, the towering floor to ceiling Core was damaged, not taken completely out like we wanted.

I actually think this was the absolute farthest that any ‘kill Moon Cell’s Core’ team has ever gotten.

“ERRRRRRRooooooorrrrrrgzgzgzgghhhzzzz-!” Moon Cell was definitely feeling that even if it didn’t destroy the core entirely. The small chunk Dolly just took out of seemed to have made things better… and worse in some ways.

Better because the number of CPs, Chaos Programs, suddenly increased while EPs decreased in massive quantities. I think some of those programs that turned a chaotic number of colors eventually stopped and even became APs joining in dealing with the numbers on the floor going at it at random with various colors of EPs running around.

We did just kind of give Moon Cell some brain damage so maybe it made some territorial sense for us to receive some APs from attacking Moon Cell. The now known crystalline structure of the core gave me an idea to use Bark Breaker on it, that or a point blank Howl Breaker. I’d just have to have time to find a good frequency and then hit with as much as my throat could feasibly take before giving out.

The rock was blasted out from under us and started falling towards the chaos on the floor, nothing beneath us. Vector Man was no longer paying attention to Sami, Dazzling Gallantmon or Shanty… they couldn’t even damage it to draw its attention.

Canard used digital energy to slow his fall and I hit the floor with a quick wool inflation, only to have some regular Saber Knight take up protective positions around us with their shields raised as CPs were running wild everywhere down here having been entirely unaffected by the gravity shifts.

Vector Man stomped towards us, he was apparently going to try and foot fry us again and his current dance moves looked like he was doing a conga.

“I think I can do some damage to make Moon Cell’s Core more vulnerable, but I’m going to need a minute or two to find a good frequency to damage the crystalline structure of the core.” We didn’t have a minute as it didn’t take too much shuffling for Vector Man to be standing over us. As valiant as the Saber Knights were, their small statures in comparison to that monstrosity left something to be desired when something labeled Kaiju Class came at us. “We don’t exactly have that time and there’s nowhere to run...”

“Mom!” Dormarch flew in trying to attack one of the small black orbs connecting Vector Man’s right leg, he actually managed to scratch the ankle joint with his left wing blade… or was it a mildly itchy looking dent?! To my horror Dormarch as sent flailing away, unlike Moon… Dormarch thankfully didn’t die to the vicious right backhand as the monster crouched and slammed it into Garummon. Much to my chagrin Dormarch just immediately dropped to rookie from and his three tails formed blasted towards the badly distorting walls in the distance.

“Dormarch/Little Bro!” Dolly and I shouted, his ultimate form just wasn’t enough to fight off the large green monster that took a lance to the left eye, doing very little damage to it. It slapped Dazzle Gallantmon to the floor, her shield actually blocked the force of the downwards slap.

Then Vector Man did a lazy kick while putting its arms behind its back and swinging its foot like a slow pendulum. That not only double her over, but it also sent Gallantmon flying towards a completely different wall from the small amount of force applied.

Vector Man turned to stomp on us, priority target number one… so this was how I died.

-Meanwhile near an entrance to Moon Cell’s core, Dormarch-

“Nnggghhh… Cure Liqu-liquor…” My data immediately fixed itself, but… I could barely survive that one hit. Mom was not going to survive that thing unless we had something equally big to hit it with, I had no idea what my Mega form was, but I seriously doubted it would be nearly…

“Oh hey there I think I’ve met one of you before, oh… right you’re a Dalmamon aren’t you! See I can remember people species sideline!” My eyes were wide as I looked at the mangled digi-bot and the perfectly fine look Calumon. How in the world did that little get here and what happened to Sideline the Side-kicky digibot.

“You can slow down things right?” Wish we had some Skvader Caerbannog support in here, because that Vector Man thing was unbeatable, if we could slow it to a crawl we can maybe save mother.

“To a degree yes.” Sideline stated. “If you want me to slow down that, thing… yeah no dice.”

“My mother’s about to die over there, can’t you do something!” I ask shaking Sideline with my claws morphing dog digi-bot was rattling fairly bad.

“Die?” Calumon whimpered with his ears wilting and he started tearing up.

“Also how did he even get here, this place is really dangerous!” I stated worriedly about Calumon being a digital monster with absolutely no combat capability. “It’s going to take a miracle to deal with something that large, it knocked me out of my ultimate form in a single blow.”

“Miracle?” Now Calumon seemed more curious than upset with his ears expanding cutely.

“Yeah we need a real hero right now and I can’t think of anyone that can save my friends, mother or sister from that horrible thing!” My words seem to brighten Calumon’s words inexorably, he even seemed about to suggest something when my eyes widened and I push him and Sideline down.

Sami’s battered and broken mega form body slapped again the wall and became embedded in it, she soon shrunk down to being a Missimon and not even a Commandramon. The small blue faced living digital missile was breathing roughly where she lay.

“Hero…” Calumon stated with a wide glistening eyed innocence with the world brightest smile as he looked at me.

“Huh?” The red triangle on Calumon’s head started glowing brightly.

-Back with Pom, Dolly and Canard-

“Sami!” Canard looked at his digivice and sighed with relief to see Sami still read as being alive… though heavily reduce to a point below even Rookie.

Slowly Vector Man turned to us, then did a bunch of robotic movements before letting one its arms hang and swing lazily. Probably some form of dance move that I didn’t understand. It was as if he was mockingly taking his sweet time in doing what Moon Cell couldn’t.

He crouched down and hopped up and both his feet flared white as he intended to stomp on us with both of them.

I wrapped my front legs around Dolly protectively and Canard covered us both with his body. When I didn’t feel like I had died or had some kind of odd need to work for Moon Cell, which would never happen, I slowly opened one eye to find myself covered in a pitch black shadow. Suddenly the shadow moved away and Vector Man was swiftly toppled by a powerful attack the dented his chest orb inwards.

Canard, Dolly and I… wait… why was Dormarch’s bond frayed? Dormarch sweetie where are… oh… OH….

Dolly looked up at the massive thing as I did and Canard sent a concerned glance our way.

“They do grow up fast don’t they?” Canard stated jokingly, despite this not being a time for joking, just seconds ago I wished Dormarch would get away tried to live in memory of me. Now though… I knew why Dolly and my bond was immediately frayed.

Dormarch was far too powerful to be my familiar anymore… but he wasn’t too powerful to still be my son. I trusted that much that he wouldn’t turn around and immediately kill us. I can maybe feel a single string between Dolly, me and… him… it was a frail connection, but it wasn’t a familiar bond.

The massive two legged shadow roared a deafening howl that shook and made Vector Man stumble to fall onto what passed for his butt, which was two large green orbs.

It was a massive black wolf covered in what looked like rippling black fur, only ‘he’ was actually some kind of tough metal from what I could see… with faint mixtures of blue streaks in it. The monster had two massive solid glowing red eyes and three massive tails coming from the waist with no hind legs. ‘His’ jaws were teeth endless into a black void that vaguely looked mouth shaped, it appeared more like an inescapable black hole. It had shoved those rather massive tails under Vector Man’s feet and they did almost nothing to them when he stomped down, they even held up to his weight without issue and then swatted him back.

He was a thing from out of nightmares and a creature as dark as night! For Pom, she just smiled and wanted to hug her big lovable doggo even if his fur might shred her alive.

“Dormarch… play.” Well I did think Vector Man looked somewhat suspiciously like a giant pile of animate tennis balls.

-Kaiju Shielder Beast Dormamon Dormarch (The ‘Death’s A Certainty’ Welsh Mythological Data Digimon, for you will soon be escorted through that door if you are on its hunting list. Mega’+’ level Digimon) vs. a screwed pile of vaguely tennis ball like orbs known as Vector Man (Even something called Apocalymon would definitely be running at this point, FYI)- (Music: Unexpectancy Part 3, Pizza Tower)

Vector Man took one step back, which was a big mistake with an angry wolf whose mouth opened wide revealing a deep void where its throat should be as it glared at Vector Man.

The beast didn’t even hear what it once considered its mother, it wanted this thing dead almost above everything else. Almost, it still had the presence of mind to scoop up Pom, Dolly, Canard and their defending APs and place them right at the base of the Moon Cell Core tower while glaring at Vector Man.

Vector Man started to raise his left arm only to find the hand orb that fired powerful pure raw energy being chomped on, there wasn’t even an explosion.

It… was… just…. GONE.

Looking down at his missing left hand, Vector Man slowly turned to the right and then immediately started running, but it was already too late for him.

One there was nowhere to run to as this rooms exits were too small. Two Vector Man had not been coded to know fear, Dormamon hard encoded that into his very being by existing on a conceptual level. For it would be no fun if the prey didn’t understand that it was most certainly indeed prey. Three Dormarch, even at his current massive size, could still use Search Hunter.

Dormamon teleported in front of him and clawed a deep gouge out of his orb chest with a swipe of his left paw and he roared a beam that not only engulfed the small energy bolt Vector Man tried firing, it also damaged his remaining hand.

As he had lost all the data of his left hand he only his right to fight back with, that and his feet and he wasn’t keen on putting his feet anywhere near that mouth.

One of said feet was gripped by Dormamon and it proceed to dangle Kaiju Vector Man upside down by his right tail, he snapped forward with his mouth and Vector Man leaned back to start firing frantically at Dormamon with his right hand.

Vector Man managed to hit the wolf monster in the eye forcing, Dormarmon to drop him and he scramble into standing at least having avoided…

There was a pause as realization hit, Vector Man saw that another part was missing… his entire right should… GONE.

A cracking noise made Vector Man shiver and looked towards the Core to see small cracks running through it and Pom clutching at her throat on the ground.

Vector Man’s inattention lost him an entire right leg, he kicked up his left leg and tried to fire the power thrusters… only nothing came out of his leg… it too was… GONE.

The red eyed beast bored into his own red eyes and Kaiju Vector Man knew fear, he raised his right arm and started firing wildly at the thing that taught him the meaning of terror. Where was the rest of his left arm?

He tried to push himself back but…

Kaiju Shielder Beast Dormamon Dormarch wins, Fatality: ‘INEXISTENCE’!

The large red eyes faded away to a much gentler bluish green and Dormarch started towards the core and looked at what was a tiny white speck to him.

“Mother.” Rumbled a soft voice that did not fit the hulking terror wolf that looked at Moon Cell’s core. “Digital realms anchors, none left but one… this….”

“Pom, says to not worry about it, destroy it!” Dolly called out because Pom ran her throat raw and avoided ruining her voice, Canard was helping her stand. “She’s got it covered!”

“Noble Phantasm… Shooting Stars Miracle.” The attack involved a black beast creating massive stars that glowed as they struck out at something that needed to perish.

-Calumon-

“I don’t think he could have done that without my help, aren’t you glad we came here now?” I said cheerfully, for I was the super hero digimon Calumon and I made a friend an even bigger friend! “Seriously though, that transformation was a lot. He literally can’t do it without me!”

“As your bodyguard, consider me somewhat proud and horrified.” Sideline mumbled and transformed into his canine form. Ugh his aching parts, he was a support digi-bot not a direct combat digi-bot!

-Pom-

I felt my bond reconnected as I watched the beauty of shooting stars exploding against Moon Cell’s Core.

“Elp… cen…er…” So much pain and suffering, but we did it. I looked at Dormarch, back to being his puppy self… all tuckered out after saving us. Heh… he had the crest of miracles fading, now he had a digital hazard symbol like Frizzle does.

Oh god that was going to be a can of worms, but I had something to do first before I pass out from the pain. Canard escorted me to the center of where Moon Cell used to be, Dormarch really came through for us.

Once we reached the center of the destroyed Moon Cell core, I pulled out the Rhongomyniad in its lance form for one last time.

While it could have helped greatly with Tambelon… I think this was the better use for it.

I balance on my left hind leg, raised the butt of the spear above my head… then planted it firmly in the middle of the debris and told it what I wanted from it and then I would no longer have to wield it anymore. My time with the 'Spear of The End', has come to it's end.

“Pom you’re wool…” Yes dolly some of my flanks and lower back were now covered in gold wool, thank you for noticing, now let me get some sleep!

A tower erupted in the place of Moon Cell’s destroyed Core, eating up the debris of the surroundings to build itself and bind the digital world, Pokémon world and lunar world together.

“She being alive, let’s be loading her up.” Shanty had thankfully stayed well away from Vector Man.

-Some time later, Pom-

I gasped awake and I heard festivities, I checked my right hind leg… still broken. I guess this wasn’t something even a god could fix. I kept it pressed against my belly by my wool and carefully got out of bed to do a three legged trot outside.

There was a festival going on, but I ignored that… I felt a beckoning. Someone owed me, more than they could ever say and I had a meeting with him for doing a job well beyond was expected me of me.

I wandered out of Helper’s Hamlet alone, towards Arceus Valley and I knew why I was heading here.

"I'm going to confirm it right now, you can't take them with you." Geoff was blunt and to the point, not an ounce of perversion in his voice. "The only way a Pokémon can leave these realms is if they can beat a challenge from Arceus, few ever succeed. You can't wait the years for them to do so."

“No one saw me leaving town except for you, who already knew this from the beginning and with the celebrations currently going people should have noticed me walking out of town awkwardly.” I already knew what was happening and a lot of people were going to be either upset with me or Arceus after we’ve had our talk.

“I just came to say good bye, which will be more than what everyone else will be getting. Canard will be able to go with Sami to his team, but they won’t be able to take Clef with them.” He pointedly started staring at my butt. “Can I squeeze it once?”

“Always a pervert.” I said flatly.

“Never said I wasn’t and no Wooloo ever has!” Geoff proclaimed proudly with a chuckle.

“Fine, but only as a friend…” The second I gave him permission both his hooves were on my backside and squeezing my butt. “Stop.”

“I’m going to miss having someone so extravagantly beautiful like you around.” Geoff immediately did so, but his cheery disposition did not falter.

“If anyone asks…” My voice was darkening.

“Never touched you inappropriately at all and no one aside from Arceus and possibly several other god class entities knows.” Geoff stated firmly. “Thanks for being my friend.”

-Arceus Valley hilltop-

“So… stargazing huh.” I sat down next to Arceus who had stars in his eyes as he looked up at the sky.

“Yes.” He stated bluntly.

“I’m a mess, but I’m going to call Tianhuo and I’m going to have to explain that Tambelon is coming soon.” We sat there together and watched the sun rise on a new day.

“I sometimes wonder who made the stars that I didn’t create myself.” Arceus says with a cheerful lilt in his voice. "Maybe the stories of others just write them into existence."

“How safe?” I asked warily.

“There is no possible way you can put yourself into any danger where I’m sending you and you’re friends, danger would have to come to you for that to be possible. Even if it does, you'll be strong enough to deal with it.” Arceus gave off a sad sigh. “Sans the companions of course, I’ve heard a little pervert already told you what you might have figured out by yourself without his rather avid confirmation.”

“Will they be mad at me when we wake up and don’t get one last day here in this interesting world of yours?” Since we were leaving immediately as I finished this talk, I didn't really want one more day here. “I only have so much time left…”

“I owe you so much that I cannot repay so easily, if could feasibly do it… what would you wish?” Arceus probably noticed my flinch, but didn't comment on it.

“I don’t want a wish, but I do have several requests…” My requests were heard and Arceus arched an eye at me while smiling after taking them in.

“Okay all of that, but on one condition… pet my daughter Suicune, give her a belly rub and sign something that belongs to her with your very own hooves.” Let me guess Arceus...

“She’s a doggy messiah cultist isn’t she?” I could feel Arceus’s smile even when I wasn’t looking at him, he was definitely projecting it at me. “Thanks for sending the Rhongomyniad my way... heard you always planned ahead, but I didn't think you were that absurd about it.”

“Those who can relinquish such power so easily can be considered among the greatest of heroes.” Wonder if Arceus saw how I saw it.

“I didn’t have a choice in the matter, just an illusion of choice.” I received a sage nod, he knew what I meant.

“Yet you still wanted to do it in your heart if the choice were available, even if you had no choice due to your peculiar nature. It’s been nice doing business with you Lady Pom of Team Harmony. I’ll be sending you off with a lot of Sitrus Berries, keep eating them over the course of your stay in the vacation realm and you’ll be quickly ready for the trials ahead. I'll know when you are ready, just invoke my name when it is time and you are done fixing the issues your group may have.”

-Ten minutes and doing things with and to Suicune later-

"I would be wary of Lit if I were you, he's not going to like this." Never had a I met a bug so dangerous. Going to continue ignoring the exceedingly happy goddess of clean water behind me.

"If there is one thing I always liked doing, it's welcoming a challenge head on when eyes are fiercely locked upon those of your opponents or obstacles." Oh you were so in for it Arceus.

"I'm betting on Lit." No ifs, ands, or buts about it, the little guy would definitely do it and then some.

"I actually want him to succeed. As do I want Dazzle and Favela to succeed as well. I want all my children to succeed in some way, whether it be big or small." Arceus eyes closed in a heartwarming smile. "You can't win every battle, but you can grow from every battle survived. Now time for your vacation, sorry about how abrupt this will be. I'm going to be busy over the next few days with a massive influx of souls and Yvetal will absolutely need my assistance to do an audit. Might have to send a number of them Yggdrasil's way."

Arceus wasn't kidding, it was horribly abrupt... as in a blink of my tired eyes.

I appeared with my friends all in a new place and I would let them berate me for not letting them get the chance to say goodbye to all the wonderful friends we've left behind. Also everyone was still asleep, I was sitting watch until I knew what kind of situation Arceus dropped us into... I'm still a paranoid lambkin at heart.

It was nice of him to set up camp for us and put them in sleeping bags. Did he have to do it with a whole circus theme though? I know we have issues, but did he have to be so audacious about it? Eh, probably.

I wondered what they were going to do with Castle Alexander now that we no longer have need of it? I'm sure someone will take care of him, but hopefully not me. I wouldn't even know what to do with a castle sized dog you can live inside of. Lots of curiosities to consider about the NPC's, the Harmony Programs and everything else... at least Arceus said they'll all receive a fair choice in the matter continuing forward.

-Later that morning, Helper's Hamlet, Arceus-

Arrayed in front of me were the stalwart Pokémon companions and various friends of the travelers who helped save this world... even the lighthearted and heavily battered by battle King Evan was glaring at me alongside all of them with a puffy angry faced Maiden Jig.

Clef in particular muttered Mr. Thunderbeak as she gave me quite a scathing Mean Look. Sami and Canard I already sent away. If she wanted to see them and live with them, then she was 'informed' as to how that can be accomplished.

Lit stepped forth and squeaked a squeak of war as he raised his front claws, promising me he will accomplish whatever he needed to in a simple minded fashion.

Quetal's gaze sharpened as he flexed his claws, Shine had a very demented smile on her face as she started juggling knives and Dazzle's gaze was narrowed as flames sporadically popped at her wrists.

Frizzle's lips caked with fire as she silently tossed some bread over shoulder, entirely paying attention to me with wild eyes and ignoring the bread entirely. This was much to my astonishment that it was even possible for a Guilmon to ignore bread, she had been munching at it until the explanation started and then she stopped entirely while listening intently to what I said.

Yggdrasil said it was functionally impossible for any Guilmon to actively ignore the siren call of bread once they are made aware of it. There is no such thing as moldy bread around a Guilmon as they'd never let bread get that far into decay.

Both Lucha Mundo and Muchomon had flat gazes set squarely on me, both sharing a common thought between them. Could they use my body as a shovel to dig my own grave? Muchomon wasn't even with Mundo for very long and he wanted to assist his partner in the endeavors without a second thought, I loved the sound of true brotherhood.

All of them were quite angry, except for Favela who considered me with the faintest of smiles in an accepting understanding... she wanted to be at her captains side and no amount of anger will speed things up.

Favela understood things quite clearly, rarely do the companions ever leave with those they shared a deep bond with and rarely do they ever see them again unless they actively worked hard to do so.

Some would settle down and move on creating tales of grand adventure... others however, well they'd literally move mountains, seas and the heavens themselves and not a single god of our given pantheon would stop them if they were truly determined. I enjoyed watching mortals do as such.

It was amazing what some mortals would do when you gave them an quite an ample amount of motivation, these people had plenty of friends to help them do it all too.

Like I said to Pom, I wanted them to actually succeed. I wasn't going to make it easy for any of them despite the sweet fluffy canine cultist magnet's requests!

Friendship is battles after all, plus digimon liked fighting too... so... more friendship!
