-Moon Cell, Inner Realm, Desert of Devastation, Castle Alexander, Copen the Slayer Dragon-

“Are they almost done yet?” I asked as I continued to blast away as Lola covered me with the battle pods, the enemy was functionally endless until Moon Cell’s core was destroyed. Who knows what would come of destroying the core, aside from a lack of enemies to fight, we didn’t exactly have that foresight.

I took covered and my cover shook under several impacts enemies were everywhere and the whole battlefield was chaos. We weren’t losing, but we weren’t winning either as any enemy we took down would quickly be replaced. Thankfully Moon Cell couldn’t summon more enemies within Castle Alexander’s territory, which was shrinking rapidly from the damage the immobile castle was taking.

“Hold on, Pom’s called me, she’s going straight for Moon Cell’s core in the nexus right now. I hope she reaches it and manages to end this quickly… we can’t exactly keep this fight up forever unlike Moon Cell.” Ocellus said, the strange bug could feel emotions and as such she likely winced at the frustration I currently felt. “I think Cait Sith is just about done with our Gunner Allied Programs.”

Considering I helped make them, they better perform as I expected them to. So help me if they turned out wrong we were going to be eventually swamped under the EPs before we could secure the castle.

“Well have Cait Sith send them immediately when ready. Even those Magitek Moogle things of his are no longer holding up.” I helped design the newest Allied Program and they couldn’t come soon enough. “Though they are making a mess of the enemy despite how goofy they all look.”

“I hope you know we’re all working under duress here! Hope Pom to gets her butt up in there and deals with this quickly!” Said the orange female dragon, Smolder I believe, that spat a fireball into a Saber Knight EP. We were stopping the enemy from entering the castle proper at the courtyard, the infirmary had mounting casualties and we couldn’t let the enemy get to them.

“Did someone say we needed a new Allied Program unit?” Cait Sith’s smarmy voice could be heard all over the castle’s speakers.

“Yes, damn it, we need them now!” I roared as I continued holding off the Berserker Brute EPs slowly plowing their way through our magitek moogles. One managed to bypass the flailing monster moogle limbs

A second later a light appeared and the first of many of the last APs that Castle Alexander would ever produce appeared, they were primarily blue and cyan while having a large singular robotic glowing blue eye and an armored bipedal based body beneath that seemed simplistic, but was relatively durable for it.

It immediately brought up its left arm that swiftly turned into an energy cannon and it started charging, after a humming crescendo was reached it eventually fired a powerful blast that blew apart the Brute encroaching us.

“May I introduce, Gunner Pantheon… thanks to you Copen, they didn’t turn out to be classified as Archers.” As Cait Sith said this multiple blue robots started rushing forth and gunning down EPs with regular yellow energy blasts that looked like lemons and some more colorful charged blasts that hit with exponentially more force.

It was five minutes later that I found myself sighing with relief as the enemy was pushed back to the surroundings of the castle as we started taking on more and more injured. Welch better get more Blumbears out or so help us all…

One Pantheon dashed past me and leapt up to blow a Moon Cell Watcher out the air with several rapid fire shots, it hit the ground sliding while under the fire of Archer Seraph as arrows rained down around it. The robot aimed upwards and took out each Archer Seraph with a single uncharged shot with incredible ease as it went into another slide assisted by the jets in its cylindrical lets. The Archer Seraph were quickly being depleted all over the place by the Gunner Pantheon, not only could the Panetheon’s take a hit, they were immediately proving to be quite devastating at ranged combat. This combat specialist program was something that Castle Alexander seemed to be thoroughly lacking outside the combat vehicles for the Rider Zealots and anyone else who could pilot them, the artillery towers and a few special cases like the small turrets manned by the Gazimon.

“Yeah, but we don’t have enough resources to field too many when all our resources are going into every other AP.” I said as I moved to maintain the castle wall, hopefully those healing cows are doing alright with the influx of injured. The color blue was never going to be my favorite, but I did have to admit the Gunner Pantheon came in when we needed them the most. “It seems they are quite taken with the few Blumebears we still have at least. The Shielder Knights are good at what they do… Ocellus we can cut back on the Lancer Guardians for more Gunner Pantheon.”

“A mild curiosity in their programming, apparently they work well with Rider type APs by their very nature. This will at least bolster our Zealots and give them more time to make more armor now that we got a solid ranged answer to our headaches from the enemy aerial forces.” The fighting in the air was quite brutal Cait Sith and I felt like I should be up there as well.

“I’m heading out to support our aerial defensive screen!” I called out to everyone as much as Lola and leapt forth from the castle walls to rocket into the air, our side of the battlefield was heavily contested and all we needed to do was hold out until that sheep or someone else succeeded in the mission of tearing Moon Cell’s core apart.

If ‘his’ soul was among them… would I welcome it being free of this hellish computer? Yes, even ‘he’ deserved better than this monster possibly calling his soul back from the ether as a slave for some soulless machination. I’m going to make sure the souls of my family, the people of my world and even my once enemies are not trapped within this monstrosity. For why else would I be here if not to be a savior of the souls that can’t move on? Maybe they can be like me in having something like a life so I wouldn’t be so alone after this.

“Good luck out there Copen and watch his back Lola!” Elise stated over the communications, I rolled my eyes and grumbled about leaving an adept alive as I prepared my gun for the oncoming enemy. “I’ll be busy protecting the base.”

“I have returned!” A green armored Dragoon dropped from the sky and blasted a number of heli-troopers that were trying to gun for me.

I simply stared at it as I flew through the air, absolutely wondering where it kept coming from, because Welch’s manufacturing plant was a little messed up at the moment.

-At the edge of the desert of devastation, within the valley where Castle Alexander had been backed into a corner previously not too long ago, Rider Zealot-

“Beeoww? Dew-op!” Said a small boomerang shaped machine that had a cat like motif to it and a personality to match. The present Rider Zealot had it working on making PLANTs, said AP generator was slowly producing dragoons that were amassing for an assault on the enemy nexus.

It took a lot of coding to recreate an energy matter printer, but since they were digital entities this was much easier to pull off than in reality where physical resources were needed.

“Our lives not dire!” I said, before motioning an entire swarm of Dragoons and Zealots forward. It was all we could produce, even the pet drone had taken some doing.

The machine bobbed and nodded as it constructed additional pylons in the form of PLANTs. Having eventually worked out how to replicate the territory holding program functions and installed an energy printer on a small construction droid, I was lending assistance even if the replicated PLANTs were only at above a fifth the strength of an actual PLANT… well we were making up for that with sheer numbers. No instant summoning of APs after destruction and a wait time of several minutes for construction of new AP units, but they still worked even if they were only producing the two Rider Zealot related units, the zealots themselves and the dragoons.

Nobody had paid attention to the fact that a Rider Zealot had jumped ship or that it was freely thinking of a way to continue to assist Castle Alexander when it was already overburdened as it was.

A couple of Cuddlestare.exe Caerbannog Skvader programs flew in with more hard coded resources that could be unpacked into becoming more PLANTs. The harmony programs were supplying the resources as they were sending combat support to the front lines now that they had finished blocking off Moon Cell’s access to the realms that had already been taken.

This would be a fallback base if necessary, though with the recent influx of allies, it wasn’t going to be needed unless something went horribly wrong. Even if the PLANTs here couldn’t produce APs at the same rate Moon Cell was producing EPs. Taking any amount of territory was weakening Moon Cell’s overall grip of the field and production capabilities, that and the white wooly one was obviously causing glitches in the system as the enemy EPs replacements rates were slowing down the closer the ewe got to the nexus.

Those glitches may have been conducive to some APs becoming a little smarter than usual too.

Incidentally I had been the same Rider Zealot that had been in the underground facility and in violent fighting throughout most of Midgar, having been active long enough to learn how to avoid deletion and even improve myself.

One wonders what comes after whether we won or lost the fight, I will have been a proud member of Cas’A-Ale’xan’ador and their counter invasion forces.

-Frontline battlefield around the functionally destroyed crystal maze, Geoff-

Well don’t know how much I could help Pom from here, but my unit was doing perfectly fine.

“I think one of my legs is broken… which feels incredible.” One of my unit members stated. “So alive!”

“Stop making me jealous of how much pain you must be in!” Another member of my unit stated before firing off an Electro Ball into the enemy.

“If my girlfriend wasn’t a part of this unit, I wouldn’t be here.” The Muk said as he fired a Sludge Bomb into a group of enemies. “You guys are ludicrous masochistic perverts.”

“Aw… but you love me enough to still be here!” A female Wooloo stated with a cheerful demeanor as she nuzzled the living pile of sludge.

“You’re arguably the most masochistic wanting to suffer under a poison orb when not with me… but yeah I do love you.” At least the Muk had a healthy relationship with one of our own. “Seriously though, you guys should take better care of yourselves and your health! Why is it that I, the living pile of poisonous materials, that has to say it?”

“Being poisoned makes me feel alive by Arceus, who is literally over there!” The female Wooloo called out with a raised hoof before she fired off a Round into the enemy around us.

Arceus just glanced in our direction, sighed and waved his left hoof and then continued a slow walk forward pressing back the enemy hordes occasionally with his most powerful attacks.

“Geoff, you’re here?! I don’t know how you are here, but at least I can guess as to why, so where is Pom currently?” King Evan fired off a spray of Swift stars and blew apart a number of charging EPs as he arrived, it was nice to see him alive along with King Motochika, he looks like a healthy Dewott two shell blades at his hip and his guitar on his back. They were accompanied by King of the Greenleaf Motonari the Servine, said snake like grass Pokémon was wearing a scholar’s hat and studying the battlefield. “Also how is Maiden Jig?”

“Well Pom is fighting within the enemy horde and I think she got stalled before she could reach the enemies stronghold, dealing with something called servants… basically the enemy’s generals. As for Maiden Jig she was fine before I left her in charge of Aurora.” I offered up as a report. “We’re technically the front line, but Pom took off and created a pocket as a forward offensive supported by that beautifully feathered Braviary known as Masamune Date and what I assume to be most of Avia. As for the dragons… they are quite a sight and I kind of want to be eaten alive by one of them. They are really helpful to the overall morale seeing them arrive with Lord Arceus. Our Base back there is Castle Alexander and it might be in a bit of trouble… honestly we’re all going to need some Chansey after this is over with and the Miltank we have can only do so much in a pinch. I’d say you’re as handsome as ever, your tail is looking particularly fluffy today and you’re quite handsome as well.”

“No, not happening Geoff and I doubt Maiden Jig would like to hear your proclivities are spreading to the king of our kingdom.” Evan stated flatly.

“So wonderfully cruel King Evan… but I guess Jig would kill me if I tried hitting on you any further… though that might be enjoyable for the few seconds excruciating pain between life and my soul exiting my body. Doing so here is a bad idea as the enemy has control over those souls called servants.” As I informed Evan things, Violite was making a great showing of pushing forward and taking the pressure off of our offensive line, specifically their anti-ground Eelektross units were burning the enemy back while protecting Ginchiyo Tachibana from being attacked directly as she fiercely took the field at Ieyasu’s side. Every Leader from Ransei was here on the battlefield and none of them were holding back anything, even the Dark Types of Yaksha were all in. “So if anyone is close to dying I suggest retreating them to the castle, it’s at least what Illusio seems to be doing for those that can no longer fight. We do not need any heroes of the battlefield turned against us, especially not a great and wonderful king like you Evan… so no dying please!”

“But my broken leg feels so agonizingly cozy, why do I need to be healed you sexy mustached being you?!” The Wooloo in my unit whined as they were teleported away by who I believed was the Magnificent Mentalis, he was an interesting Alakazam that tended to run around putting on wonderful performances that had a lot of sight gags. Once did a show for my friends niece, small world we live in.

“Pom has called in, she’s going directly for the nexus with Dolly and Dormarch to take out Moon Cell’s core. We’re to keep pressing and attacking the Nexus from outside. We might need to send a few others in after her to help her out. I’m Shanty, Canard and Dazzle when they finish with the servants on the defensive.” Jeanne informed as she planted a banner and waved at Ieyasu who gave her a nod of acknowledgment before blowing apart enemies with his mighty cannonball spear. The Steel Types were quickly creating a buffer for our battered Aurora forces to get a break in and they were breathtaking as they did so. Sure fighting was not a Wooloo’s thing, but watching others fight with muscles and a fierce determination… me likely. “She just took out one of the servants that is stalling our forward unit which is slowly getting swamped, Cu Chulainn apparently came in from the digital realms… do you know anything about that?”

“Cu Chulainn went out to build a team of heroes, nice to hear he’s succeeded and successfully made it to the Digital World and got this far. Last I heard the connection in Violite was lost after he got his team through to assist our monster neighbors in the digital realms.” King Evan turned to Motonari. “Are your forces ready?”

“Hmph… when are we not? We’re a force that doesn’t have to worry about food as much as we do water, our healing herbs will be quite a boon to the messy front after we finish here.” Motonari sighed and looked ahead, the snake like elegance of his form. “King Evan, please tell your Wooloo to stop getting ideas while we’re in pitched battle. That boorish lout Hideyoshi is at least performing admirably, glad to see he’s turned things around and Ignis isn’t causing my people any trouble. Army command, Solar Streams!”

With a single point from Motonari a series of solar powered beams cleared a large swath of the enemy in short order with all the Grass Types having spread out and prepared the attack with precision ahead of time. Given the ridiculous accuracy of all the shots, Motochika had a bright grin on his face.

“Well if we’re getting into the seldom used army commands… Army command, Disaster Drench!” It seems Motochika was not one to be beaten as the muscular and proud warrior ordered his artillery commander Grit to show everyone here just why Fontaine was known for its water artillery.

The literal splash damage from all the cool and nice wet Pokémon with their wonderful glistening scales and sharp eyes caused immense damage to the enemy forces.

“… Geoff…” King Evan drew my attention, he stared at me pointedly and firmly. I’d follow this cute guy until the end of the world as we know it… which was currently being stopped by us so... yeah.

“Aurora forces form up!” I called and they immediately did so into a spreading out line, this included the Toxtricity bards that looked like they knew what was about to be ordered. “Rise up with the rampant noise, as one we unleash the power of our voice~.”

My Round ripped out by itself alone, that’s when King Evan gave the command.

“Army command, Vocal Volley!” What followed was a vibration wave that as we joined in song as one voice and obliterated the enemy in a single massive blast wave we sang a wordless song.

It shook and flattened the sand and our enemy in equal measure from the vibrations that shook the entire battlefield.

“Never underestimate the bleeding hearts of Aurora.” King Evan stated as he held out a paw and took some Poké from Motochika and Motonari. Awe, King Evan believed in us! “Now if you’ll excuse me… I need to find my more personal units and form up to pressure the enemy.”

“That was awesome, don’t even care I lost a bet with that kind of firepower on our side.” Motochika exclaimed, then he grabbed up one of his shells as more enemies spawned in on the field of battle. “Now let’s keep it up, the enemy seems endless, but I bet there’s an end in sight somewhere and we’re going to keep fighting until we see it. Grit if you can hear me, get range on that nexus thing and see if you can poke the bear so to speak!”

A second later a blast of water flew miles across the battle field and damaged the outer shell of the nexus where Moon Cell’s core was within.

“It’s nice to be surrounded by so many sexy people huh Geoff?” One of my Wooloo comrades stated.

“It is, but I really don’t relish fighting all that much… but Pom is in the middle of all of this so we don’t really have much of a choice but to dig in. Hi ho, Aurora, let’s go~!” I fired another Round, the battle was still a long way from being settled and there was still so much beauty to be found.

I wonder if one of those digimon guys were available?

-Further along the battlefield, near Moon Cell’s Nexus, Shanty-

With a clash I be sliding backwards and glaring at my opponent’s odd sword, she be knowing how to use it too.

Uranus is being a very funny name, now if only Uranus didn’t be tougher than the stalest bread I ever be out of the garbage once. Her sword was being no joke and I really couldn’t be keeping up with Pom who was flying off to face Moon Cell. At least Dormarch and Dolly were with her, but I still had a lot to be worrying about.

Dodo and Favela barely be keeping Neptune contained and she was dangerous when working with Uranus.

With a glance I could see that Sami was blasting that Tuxedo guy, but he still be standing. Fighting back by throwing roses and deflecting as much as he could be with his cane and a magical barrier that his clothes created. Said barrier be being badly cracked under the strain of Sami and Canard’s assault. I wouldn’t have survived under the tirade of explosives and shots that Sami was currently putting out.

Looking at what was happening with Pluto… I’m currently being glad that Pom nor I had to fight her, she was messing with time and space and it was being quite obvious that the lizard was the most dangerous one.

After that whole thing with the Minute-taur and Splatter Phoenix, I really didn’t be relishing Dazzle and Frizzle’s positions at the moment. At least Frizzle seems to have it covered given she be creating a field around herself with her shield that seems to be cancelling the worst of it out from effecting Dazzle.

I be needing to finish off our pair of opponents quickly, but they were covering each other too well and that was being highly annoying. It was three to two and they still not be taking too many injuries, Uranus be protecting Neptune fairly well and Neptune be launching powerful attacks when she wasn’t being attacked by Dodo or Favela.

Trying to separate the two was hard as Uranus couldn’t be drawn too far away from Neptune and that is being true for Neptune as she be staying near Uranus if Favela or Dodo tried to be drawing her away instead.

There were three of us, something had to be giving eventually and I didn’t want to be letting Pom out of my sight for too long. Not when she has a propensity for almost getting herself killed, it is being a really annoying habit of hers and I don’t think she be having any healing stuff left.

I be charging forward and locked my cane scythe with her blade and then pivoted forward to slash at her with my left hoof while trying to pin Uranus down with my right.

Uranus broke off and easily avoided my attack, she was obviously being a Saber Class and that was being dangerous in and of itself. Didn’t know what Neptune was being, but she could be a Caster.

“Horizon!” Instead of launching the dolphin at Uranus it be popping up and sprayed a massive amount of water in my direction, sure there was a cost of energy to be doing this… but water whenever I needed it was being helpful.

I concealed myself in a Bounding Bubble immediately and it be blocking the magical attack by dispersing it. I bounded forward as I wielded the scythe, not at Uranus, but at Neptune and it forced Uranus to move into position for my next attack.

-Air near the nexux, heading for the entrance, Dolly (Music: Machine Passage, Kirby Air Ride)-

Ugh, Metal Hound 004 was getting banged up pretty badly by all the incoming projectiles… the jet wings were at least holding together fairly well. Now if only I had some super strong duct tape. Armors a bit shot, but that’s only because I understood the damage indicator. Belch certainly knew how to make it more understandable to me.

“Pom, do you want inside, I could use your brain in here!” I steered through walls of projectile fire and Dormarch fired off a beam from his mouth on the right shoulder. The cannons on both arms was firing into a thick wall of flying enemies as we were on approach for the entrance.

“If you could find the time, then maybe I will consider it!” Pom was crawling around on the machine I was piloting and she was acting as a defense against incoming attacks with her metal umbrella.

I didn’t feel like leaving Pom out there. Dormarch was tough and had the blue scarf thing that increases said toughness.

“Is it me or is their aim getting worse the closer we get?” Dormarch asked out loud, my beloved little bro the youngest next to my beloved little sister Dorothy, was right. Their shots were going a bit wide and I needed to dodge less, but the volume of fire was still quite insane. “Ugh, I swear those Saurian targeting programs better not have become memetic hazards, even if they have somehow infected Moon Cell.”

I looked at my fur as it started glowing a golden color. Looking up at the screens I saw that Dormarch was also starting to faintly glow gold too. Pom was a given, since this was kind of her ability.

“Uh, Pom, I’m starting to glow here!” I said worriedly, though nothing felt wrong with me. Felt kind of cozy and warm as if getting a hug from Pom herself. “What’s going on?”

“Slow down and open up to let me in.” It seemed Pom had some idea what was going on. “Whatever magic is surrounding the nexus, it’s not friendly and your bonds to me is protecting you from whatever it’s trying to do to us.”

I brought the Metal Hound zero zero four into a hover and opened up the armor, Pom soon clambered in and looked at the set up as she quickly took the seat. Since Pom was with me, I switched off my controls and dropped onto Pom’s neck and closed the armor up by taking control of it through her. I managed to steer us out of the way of several missiles before they impacted with the armor and blew us out of the air. Dormarch was busy blasting away at other things trying to keep the flying enemy out of knife fighting range.

Adding Pom’s mind to my skills really increased my ability to pilot this thing. I wasn’t doing too terribly before, but now it was a little like night and day. What a day this was no less, dog tired of all this fighting some deadly computer. We were so close to ending this whole mess, so we couldn’t stop here.

Pom got me on task and before I knew it I was steering us for the entrance and putting every projectile I could into the enemy, with Dormarch’s assistance to clear the path forward for us. We eventually flew into an archway into a tunnel of dark colors lit by hundreds of lines and started blowing through the internal defenses, we had actually made it inside without dying and considered us lucky that we even got this far with all that was aimed at us.

Our faintly golden glowing forms still concerned me, but Pom sent a mental idea to ignore it for now.

That wasn’t the end of things, not by a long shot, given we still had a lot of Looney Laser Eyes in our way. Also was it me or did things seem bigger on the inside when we passed through the entrance? It expanded into a massive tunnel reminiscent of how we got into the digital world place.

Pom got me back on task and away from my wandering thoughts as we flew through the curving tunnel and I focused down anything among the swarms of enemy fighter vehicles coming at us. At least none of them were those ‘side hander’ things, but the fact that we were seeing futuristic things coming in to attack us didn’t make me hesitate for a second as I shot down a horseshoe shaped ship and several of those strange purple ships that looked like kind of like slugs.

The tunnel was practically crawling with enemies coming out of the woodwork from giant wasps, guys with paragliders and even strange flying squid monsters that weren’t made of sphagetti. I was busy quickly pasting them all with Pom’s help as we flew forward at full speed with Dormarch assisting as he jumped off from the Hound Four and did some flying of his own.

So seriously, where was the kitchen sink in all of… oh there it is!

“CLANG!” Said kitchen sink did some damage to the right wing thruster, but didn’t knock us out of the air and forced us into performing a roll.

Something exploded violently behind us… so was that kitchen sink highly explosive? That was kind of awesome.

Yeah, Blood Orb really was throwing all kinds of crazy stuff at us now, tiny flying guys in cloaks throwing scythes, strange clawed jellyfish instead of tendrils and… what the heck was that thing?!

I couldn’t even describe it, the thing was horrific, fleshy, red and something that made me wish that I could barf at the moment. The enemy still died to a full barrage of six shoulder mounted missiles well enough, however it took every single explosion to kill it with fire. I’m surprised the missiles are still working considering all the damage the shoulders of Hound Four has taken.

“Are those asteroids?!” I asked as I saw what was coming up next.

“No Dolly, asteroids are only in space.” Little bro, who happened to be something like an armored motorcycle at the moment, those were floating rocks. “I would say they are more like hover rocks with… weapons, look out!”

Said floating rocks were revolving in the air of the tunnel and some of them start spewing laser beams and filling the tunnel with said beams, others flared with jets and started trying to ram into us. I maneuvered some rocks between us and the lasers as we flew through a swarm of moving stones.

We managed to avoid taking any damage from the flying rocks, aside from a few dents we were still good and managed to clear the swarm of floating rocks.

“Pom… you know that kitchen sink that hit us earlier.” I started up as the tunnel became much wider with several tunnels branching into or away from the one we entered.

“Yeah, what about it?” Pom asked as she kept concentrating on the path forward. “It didn’t do much damage.”

Her eyes then looked at what I currently was and they widened by quite a bit as we evaded a burning sofa that exploded violently and shook Metal Hound 004 quite badly. We managed to stay under control despite the exploding upholstery hitting us.

“I think I know where it came from… incoming demented looking giant dollhouse!” Said dollhouse coming from a different tunnel soon sprouted several mechanical arms and a round, seriously frightening, grinning metal skull head above the front door. It was using jets to keep up with us and it wasn’t having problems matching our speed.

“Dormarch is that giant dollhouse made of Magitek?” Calmly asked Pom asked as we started avoiding a slew of missiles while shooting down what we could coming at us. I’m certain I felt some level of disbelief from her at what we were attacking with both our guns, I hadn’t let off the triggers at all and it told us how tough that thing was that it hadn’t been tore apart under the tirade.

“Can confirm, it is wielding magitek equipment… equipment better than what the Metal Hound zero zero four has.” Dormarch stated before firing a Wolf Beam and wiping out the missiles coming for him and doing some damage to the demented oversized dollhouse with zombie like mechanical limbs sticking out of it. Those limbs kept coming back no matter how much we shot them up.

We immediately took action to evade several of the missiles we couldn’t deal with quickly enough, along with a series of projectiles that looked like chairs that were spewing out lighting, fire and ice in various ways.

When the chairs didn't do much to us the dollhouse tried sucking us in with what I actually recognized to be wind magic, but that was easy enough to cancel out with my own magic. I actually had a great feel for wind magic now, maybe had something to do with me finally casting Aeroga.

“Aero!” I stopped it from pulling us towards its electrified limbs that we quickly blasted off, I even did it with the weakest spell which seemed to have jumped in strength despite me using the same amount of energy I general use. My capacity for magic was still small, but apparently the oomph I can put into it was getting better.

“I absolutely have reason to believe that this has something to do with Merak!” Pom groused out as we poured all our machine fire into the houses limbs and missiles, while the shoulder missiles dealt with the smaller incoming enemies. “That thing is too annoying to not be related to him, that and it’s firing chairs at us as high explosive projectiles… TOILET!”

We dodge the toilet and it filled the tunnel with the power of a sun when it went off, it’s a good thing we were facing away from it.

“Probably as good a guess as any mom, I’m going in to deal with that things jets.” Dormarch announced as he hopped forward in the form of a spiraling drill aiming for the lower part of the house that was allowing it to keep up with us. “We can’t have it follow us all the way to Moon Cell’s core, blade wind turbine!”

Bouncing off the floor of the tunnel I watched as my armored little bro started shredding into the jets the freaky evil flying dollhouse with his ridiculously powerful blades chewing into it.

Pom had us on point as she kept blowing off the rapidly regenerating spider like limbs that came in blade, claw, energy gun and even a grappling hook arm. All of which we avoided, especially the grappling arm.

We primarily focused our damage on the freaky head of the house as it roared at us when it started running out of limbs to shoot, but it certainly wasn’t running out of chairs… seriously how many chairs did the freaky flying house need?!

Eventually Dormarch separated from shredding into bottom of the dollhouse and it slapped into the floor not too long afterwards due to a lack of jets to keep up with us.

It immediately generated several grappling arms and tried to pull us in or down, only Dormarch managed to cut the wire on the one that managed to hit the outer side of the left leg of Hound Four. This let us leave the roaring and angry oversized dollhouse behind eating our dust as we continued down the tunnel blasting our way through swarms of enemies.

Said dollhouse was still trying to crawl after us with those mechanical limbs… despite not being able to catch us at the slow speed it currently had.

“Pom…” I said quietly.

“Yes, that thing will be in my nightmares too Dolly and I don’t think I can ever look at a dollhouse the same way again after seeing that thing.” Pom stated with a twitch in her right eye that I could feel through our bond, a twitch that could be felt on a number of levels. “We’re likely to see it again if we don’t deal with Moon Cell quick enough.”

“I swear that thing had something like an overclocked self-repair function to generate limbs that fast… so that’s most likely.” Really did not need to know that thing would be after us so soon Dormarch!

We were flying at full speed, but even then we still met things that could keep up with Hound Four… aside from Dormarch I mean. My little bro was incredible in being able to keep up with Hound Four when he was not clinging onto it.

“Little bro, can you at least tell us we’re at least going in the right direction?” Hundreds of rounds were chewing through whatever we aim our two guns at and thankfully these upgraded guns were tearing through them like the quick dissolving chunky salsa they were.

“We are, we’re getting close to a central source of all of this, so that’s got to be wear Moon Cell’s core is.” What showed up next as Dormarch went back to clinging onto Hound Four was some kind of giant horrors out of a nightmare movie. Fleshy and bleeding tentacles was not what I would call comforting sight. “If you can’t tell Dolly, Moon Cell really doesn’t like us being here!”

“How close are we Dormarch?” It wasn’t hard for Pom to keep concentrated, sure she was scared, but she was wanting to finish this quickly by dealing with the source of all our problems and I was right there with her.

“Really close, we just get to get past this thing. Lupine Laser!” Dormarch spat a beam the tore apart some of the large fleshy monstrous moving wall and then we started shooting the eyestalks off of it, I really had no idea what the thing was, but we were definitely going to blow it apart. Tentacles with mouths on the end of them tried to stretch out and bite at us.

Firing six missiles off at the things… what passed for a face on it anyway? It didn’t make it any less ugly looking than it was before.

“Weakness spotted, aim at the red spot on the belly.” Sissy said from Dormarch’s device.

Well that was easier said than done, I didn’t know what the belly of the flesh wall thing exactly was on that thing, but I’m guessing the slightly redder spot was good enough for our need and started focusing on it.

The monster started thrashing even worse when I shot it there, hundreds of flesh tentacles were growing out at us and Dormarch was slicing away at them with his wing blades before they could grab us.

Wait weren’t we still flying at full speed, how could some kind of biological flesh wall keep up with our speed? Didn’t matter as minutes later and a few hundred missile impacts later, the horrific ‘Wall of Flesh’, mouths and tentacles finally bursts apart and starts dissolving.

We had been dodging energy beams, flailing tentacles and large blobs of flesh that it launched off of itself. Now that it was finished, the path before us seemed oddly enough… entirely empty.

“Well that was one wall of flesh I’ll never want to see again.” Dormarch commented dryly while sighing in relief.

“Dormarch are you okay, how much longer can you hold that form for?” Yeah, that was something to worry about Pom, bro has been in this form for a while.

“With the massive amount of digital energy in the air around here, indefinitely at this point. I’m not entering power saver when I’m feeling a constant threat to your life mom.” Yeah being a little three tailed puppy in this mess was asking to be taken out Dormarch, better to stick with being a living armored canine blender that spits lasers. “So care to explain the golden glow?”

“Whatever magic we’re experiencing is harmful and it’s getting thicker the closer we get to Moon Cell, so my anti-magic properties are protecting us from any side effect of the magical genocide machine we’re dealing with.” Pom shivered, things were too quite after the living flesh wall monster thing. “At a guess, it’s the magic that allows it to capture, hold and instantly turn souls into servants. Given all the servants we’ve seen before, this would be a powerful defensive mechanism that would stop people from attacking it directly. Since if any hero were to fall here, then they might turn straight into being servants upon doing so and be turned on their allies if they ever got this far. The Velber Unit and its apocalypse causing Anti-Cells would have mostly prevented anything from getting this far… Arceus has a lot of explaining to do after this is over with.”

“I feel like a Christmas tree.” I stated somewhat cheerfully and blandly, but kept us flying forward and Dormarch got more comfortable by getting on top of Hound Four between the wings.

“We all have to make some sacrifices Dolly, I think I’d prefer knowing that we’re all in magical danger here than not.” At least we had immunity thanks to you Pom.

“Mom I see an opening, Dolly bring us in low and prepare to land.” Upon flying out of the opening, Dormarch motioned us towards the floor of the absolutely massive spherical expand of which were were at one edge of at the moment.

Upon landing on the floor we looked at the massive red glowing core in the distance and standing near where we landed was that purple haired squirrel.

This shouldn’t be able to be contained within the nexus according to my little dog brain, this space was far too big to be inside the nexus. I was thinking too much, but that large red glowing round mass at the center of this space, it had to be…

“Welcome to the core, please proceed to drop dead in an expedient manner.” Stated the squirrel blandly as thousands of EPs started coming into existence around us.

“Let me out Dolly, I’ll face her on hoof. Dormarch and you are to cover me.” I sighed, but let Pom go and pulled out the controls meant for me again as Pom leapt out of Hound Four.

-Moon Cell’s Core Space, Pom-

“What’s your name for clarification’s sake?” I asked as I dropped down onto the metal floor and trotted forward.

“I’m BB, an artificial intelligence that gained a soul and failed to destroy Moon Cell. I have been revived as Moon Cancer class Servant.” In other words, BB was someone who was exceedingly danger if I understood her words correctly that she was a threat to Moon Cell at some point if ‘Moon Cancer’ had the correct connotations. “I was based off the mind of another, then came into my own. Unfortunately I failed to end Moon Cell as a threat despite having gained so much control over it… I became too… haughty from the power to my ultimate detriment.”

“That’s kind of sad and poignant in a way, exactly like what happened to Sailor Moon. Probably why you knew about her and summoned her as a servant in the first place.” I stated as I pulled the Rhongomyniad from my back. “Is it correct to say that there can’t be any peace as long as Moon Cell exists?”

“Not without the extinction of two worlds current civilizations, no. The meaning of ‘Peace’ to Moon Cell is the absolute lack of life to cause problems or record for posterity. There are many records of civilizations destructions, the destruction of Moon Cell may irrevocably erase any data of what remains of them.” BB pulled the rapier from her hip and held it out. “I hope that you are ready to possibly be the cause of said loss of data and all the history therein. I would destroy Moon Cell myself, if not for my current alignment and need to protect it currently getting in the way. It is quite unfortunate for you to be facing me here, even if I fall Moon Cell will still have its final defense ready to go by the time I’m dealt with. I hope you find my skills with a rapier enlightening as much as my skills with coding mid battle.”

I slowly inhaled through my nose.

“I think the time for talk is almost past, my name is Pom Pawdore Lambchop and I’m willing to continue to see this through… mostly because I can’t run from people who are in need of help, you are one such person that needs help as you clearly don’t like Moon Cell enough to tell me all of this. All while in front of Moon Cell no less, at this place that is the very center of its power.” I acknowledged that this could get me killed, I didn’t have any physical healing items and we were deep in enemy territory. I did have ethers though and something to give us a small fighting chance against all those EPs quietly waiting. “Moon Cell is going to fall in the next twenty four hours whether or not it’s me that does it. Dolly summon all of them, I’m paying for it all!”

I pulled out four ethers and started chugging them one after the other. BB didn’t move to stop me nor did all the Enemy Programs surrounding us, even when the red orb seemed to be glaring at me with something approaching malicious… fear? Kind of weird feeling to be getting fear from something that doesn’t have a heart like Hollow Heart, I should be the one terrified when surrounded by numbers that could tear us to shreds.

Notably a good number of them were Assassin Reapers, I couldn’t even count the numbers we were hilariously outmatched here. They were packed together shoulder to shoulder in an orderly mass all aimed at our meager and paltry showing for an offensive on the enemy’s inner stronghold.

“Summon Ifrit! Summon Shiva! Summon Ramuh!” Dolly called out summoning each of them sequentially as I downed each potion. Said summoned figures appeared around Metal Hound 004 and were just waiting for the battle to start.

Hefting a flaming axe Ifrit grinned for the battle ahead, a smirking Shiva quickly flicked out an Icy Rapier almost instantly and finally a grim faced Ramuh held his staff aloft with flared wings as the Pterocentaur raised the front half of his lower body.

We were outmatched, outnumbered and likely going to see the wrong end of whatever comes after fighting BB, but I for some reason didn’t think too much of the EPs as much as I did the one servant facing us.

“You had better hope that this will be enough… I’ve stalled for as long as I could to let you prepare for this confrontation, Moon Cell will not delay your death much further. I’m just another in a long line of failed attempts to end this crystalline computers nightmare and you are likely to be next.” BB stated as she started charging at me with the rapier in her right hand, I needed to deal with her and whatever else Moon Cell had in mind before trying to destroy the core. “Have at you!”

The EPs started charging and swarming in, through the air and on the ground, if there was water then the flying Berserker Sharks would likely be using it as a medium to come chomping at us. I’m sorry Dolly, but I don’t think the latest Metal Hound is going to survive this.

Also for a servant BB didn’t seem to be that fast or capable… what was her true talent that made her dangerous?

I guess I’m about to find out.

-Near the Nexus, Shanty-

Okay I be needing to think outside the box to be dealing with these two, Uranus could be keeping up with me and Neptune could cover her too easily.

What if I be throwing my scythe and then… ah!

I be having a moment of thought and be glancing at Favela and Dodo’s positions, even when they be attacking Neptune from two sides at once she still be providing cover for Uranus.

Sending a mental thought to Dodo, I will soon be having him draw Neptune’s attention in the direction of the Nexus place that Pom be going into. She can’t be ignoring Dodo’s size or danger, but if she be taking her eyes off Favela who seems less dangerous… yes… I believe I can be pulling that off.

“Favela, be moving a fair distance off to Uranus’s right and seed bomb Neptune, be watching me and you’ll be knowing what to do afterwards!” I shouted as be engaging Uranus again, a pirate be needing leadership and Pom be teaching me a lot about that with her actions.

I be learning what to do, what not to do, what works, what doesn’t, Pom be a fountain of learning that I am being happy to have as a mot… don’t be going there Shanty, that way be leading to trouble. Maybe if I don’t think too hard about it.

-Favela-

I be missing my mother somewhat, but Shanty was the best friend I’ve ever had. Captain of my heart and one that could take me to any adventure.

I trusted her orders and moved to Uranus’s far right while staying within the combat zone that Cu Culainn was creating, I got into position quickly and fired Seed Bombs at Neptune. She is of course using her violin and the tides of magic she generates to create a deflecting wall of offensive energy. Shanty would easily beat her if not for Uranus stopping her and Dodo and I were held back entirely by her magic.

Neptune was bright enough to handle two opponents at once there’s also the strange thing she said when she generated a mirror in the air from vibrations.

-A little bit into the past-

“Submarine Reflection… Pom Pawdore Lambchop, weaknesses friends, family, frequent negative anxiety based thoughts bordering on suicidal and people in danger who need help. Dolly D. Lambchop Dalmation, weaknesses… Pom, anyone considered part of the D family and needing to… really… needing to think ‘too’ much? Dormarch Dalmatian Lambchop weaknesses, his mother and big sister… strengths, also his mother, a strong love of life and being among the living, anyone part of the D family, friends of his family… and a spiritual core with an aberrant shifting ‘heroic spirit’ Saint Graph?!” That was what she said upon scanning Pom and her companions as they flew off for the nexus, likely relaying that information to their boss. “Moon Cell is definitely not going to like knowing about that one...”

-Present-

It has been a while since then as Dodo and I stopped attacking Neptune to give her a moment use that Submarine Reflection again. This was Shanty’s orders, I’m supposed to wait until I know what I’m doing.

Neptune was doing that again right now that we weren’t pressing her as hard as she dodged my Seed Bomb attacks and she was targeting, Dodo, me and Shanty. Dodo was standing behind, but was oddly waiting for something.

“Submarine Reflection… Favela Saucy weaknesses, fire, ice, poison, bugs, flying things in general and her mother Vetali Saucy.” What use is knowing someone’s weaknesses if you weren’t in a position to capitalize on it? Wait a moment… my last name was ‘Saucy’ like as in the ‘Saucy Skiddo’… MOM- honestly why am I learning of this only now?! “Dodo Devotindos weaknesses… may the power of love and friendship compel-AAAGHH?!”

Uranus clutched at her head in agony as rainbow energy seemed to surge around her head, something be telling me she what she saw when scanning Dodo’s weaknesses didn’t end to well, but I noted Shanty was glaring at me hard to not move from my position as I seemed to be in the right place for what she was planning. I still bombarded Neptune again, who was distracted and took some injuries from my sharp seeds stabbing into her and exploding. Dodo didn’t move from his position behind to take advantage, but why though?

Hearing Neptune take an injury distracted Uranus from Shanty, making her throw her scythe on an arcing course for her left side so…!!!

I get the whole plan now and I won’t fail you Captain Shanty, for I Pirate Favela urgh… ‘Saucy’, am a part of the crew and understand your eventual vaunted genius in situations such as these!

Uranus dodged forward so that the scythe would miss her and engage Shanty as she came swing at her left side with both hooves, her cutting arc was blocked and grinded against the clearly powerful magical weapon Uranus wielded.

Uranus even started pressuring Shanty on the spot in a weapon lock where Shanty’s cutting hooves were both being used to hold her in place.

That weasel was about to get a rude awakening on combat awareness as Dodo moved to attack Neptune from behind and the rapidly and wildly spinning scythe came close to me.

Shanty hadn’t been aiming to hit Uranus herself when she threw her weapon.

-Shanty-

Come on, show me you can be doing it Favela!

Uranus was about to be breaking through my attack, rarely do my cutting arcs be being held off so well, that sword must be something else and after Pom’s previous dealings with a Saber… I need to keep up the pressure and Uranus’s guard to the left.

“You have proven that you’re too weak to take me on directly… you…” Uranus gasped and looked down, at the cane scythe’s blade digging into where her heart should be in her chest and the tip of the blade be sticking out of her back, being held by an extending pair of Vine Whips. The death blow had been swung into her at an upward angle. “No… Nep-tune…”

The sword fell from Uranus’s numb finger and with a slight pull from Favela, her body started evaporating.

“Uranus!” In her distraction Neptune, who be suffering some sort of headache was kicked towards me by Dodo and I leapt forward to meet an off guard Neptune with a swing of both my hooves.

“Cleave!” Both my hooves created a cutting arc that be passing through the ferrets neck and she be toppling over a head shorter. “Dodo, let’s go, Pom be needing us!”

Didn’t need to be telling Dodo twice. With a panicked warble from the tone of my voice, he quickly be running toward me and picked me up and then we passed by Favela to pick her and my cane scythe up.

A pair of souls be dancing together behind us as they flew to the sky, I only be sparing them a curious glance and then be focusing on what’s important as I be squeezing in Dodo’s back with Favela.

Making sure Pom survives this mess, I didn’t be doing all that training to be being a failure now!

-Nearby, Dazzle-

Okay this Pluto lady was not a good fight for us, but I understood Pom’s reasoning for dealing with Saturn… that fight looked like a series of blurs, spirals and all kinds of bad until she suddenly won the fight and drank what I knew to be her last Hi-Potion. I’ve heard from Ocellus how Pom was, I couldn’t let her get too far ahead of us.

Her ability to twist time and space made it feel like I was fighting lords Palkia and Dialga should they ever agree to work together, which wasn’t likely, but the thought was terrifying. It was more time than space, her space was limited. If we could pin her in one place for a solid minute… and Frizzle could land a killing blow.

Now how does one go about tricking a time twister into a no win situation? Frizzle was rather amazing in how she was still capable of moving when time was paused or reversing slightly. I was worried about Pom going off alone into the Nexus and she needed help. Also I wanted to be in there because I saw some poison types from Viperia on the field of battle, thankfully including Nene who would be a major distraction for any backstabbing that could be going on.

Anyone from Viperia might not even recognize me, given I’ve grown a lot since I evolved, but I’m not holding my breath. In fact I shouldn’t talk at all should anyone, other than Nene, come near me.

“Dazzle…” Frizzle high pitched voice stated in worry as she felt my stress of this situation, Digimon were somewhat bound to their partners emotionally as if a familiar as Pom describes one being. Also from the way Ocellus tells it they feed off emotions positive or negative, positive tends to be better and I was having trouble here keeping up with the fight due to the time twisting shenanigans of our lizard opponent.

She took up a defensive position to protect me from Pluto’s attack again, she couldn’t deal with Pluto while having to protect me. Should she move to attack, Pluto would freeze me in place and launch a powerful energy based attack that I couldn’t dodge. So far Frizzle could take it, but it was attrition at this point and I didn’t want was one of my best friends to keep getting hit because of me.

I vaguely saw Dodo flying off with Shanty and Favela, I wouldn’t be left behind… wait… didn’t I hear of several functions of a digivice before? If Frizzle can move while time is stopped or being manipulated and she’s immune to the effects.

“Digital device how do we merge?” I asked of the device on the belt at my hip.

“Biomerge Activate is not recommended, unknown issues may occur and…” Yggdrasil System stated and was about to continue, but I cut it off.

“Biomerge activate!” I leapt towards Frizzle while closing my eyes as I hugged her from behind, the Noble protected by a Knight.

I’m not some shallow weak tower bound princess, I’m Dazzle of Aurora and Team Harmony! I didn’t want to be a burden to my friends and family… nobody in Viperia, aside from Nene who helped me escape my life, was important to me. Everyone I cared about needed me in this time.

So Screw the consequence, I wanted to help everyone and Pom!

So Screw the consequence, I wanted to help everyone and Pom!

Wait did I think that twice… no, I didn’t. I opened my… no… ‘OUR’ eyes.

We were as one!

“Ultra Beast Gallantmon!” We intoned as we roared and took a second to look ourselves over, we had doubled in size and now towered over a wide eyed Pluto.

This felt like a mega evolution… on thousands vitamins having been taken all at once. Frizzle mildly complained that she was already a mega evolution, this was ascendant beyond what Mega digital monsters could reach and she was quite worried about the cost to Dazzle.

Dazzle’s normal type, dragon type, poison type and fire type energies were flooding this form feeding into it with their body as the conduit from within. We didn’t know how long Dazzle’s body could take being a power source, but we felt great.

Frizzle was a little worried about the Dazzle side of us, but we were both on the same page of making things quick.

We immediately surged forward, so this is what it felt like to have wings and be a dragon…

Pluto tried to stop us in time… however we just kept going after exhaling a mass of purple energy that burned the magic in the air stopping her ability cold.

Time and space, what were those? We were clearly beyond that now with Dazzle’s dimensional energy surging and protecting us from the effects.

We had a lance we could throw connected to us by a chain of flames we could even ignite the spear with all the elements Dazzle had. We had a shield that felt like it had the move ‘protect’ going on constantly without weakening. We had the form of a mighty dragon in shining bright purple armor and we could put out a corrosive aura to assault our enemies with our poison.

On the other side of things for our allies our poison energy could conceptually poison their fatigue and that was quite a weird feeling that we could even do something like that. How did we have the ability to use the concept of poison so positively? Well Dazzle didn’t like the negative connotations of poison type so…

We weren’t ignoring that the lack of fatigue due to our poison type energy poisoning the very concept of our exhaustion eroding that away to give us strength, it was a major red flag according to Frizzle that controlling something on a conceptual level was not something Digimon were normally capable of. So that had to have come from Dazzle’s side of things, as she was a child of Arceus and all of Arceus’s children were born with conceptual power over energies to do things like create clean water out of thin air.

It probably would come at a grave cost down the line to use my poison type energy in such a way, but we… I wasn’t going to stop now!

I, Ultra Beast Gallantmon, jammed our lance covered in four spiraling energies forward. White, purple, red and dark blue coalesced as it drove forward. Those colors would look good as icing on some bread, ooh maybe a cake!

The energies converged at the tip of the spear as we rammed it into a wide eyed Pluto’s torso and promptly blew her apart, her magic no match for our combined strengths.

That time twisting lizard shouldn’t have picked a fight with a dragon.

“Let’s go!” I called out to no one in particular and soared with a single flap of our wings and our trailing tail leaving a streak of bright purple in our wake, the data of our enemies was unraveling just by being near us. “To the core!”

On another note, nobody from Viperia would recognize Dazzle right now even if they did see me. I considered that a major plus to our merging. I’ll worry about the consequences of creating this form later.

-Nearby, Sami-

How was this one guy so tough?! He was like a freaking demented grasshopper on pure caffeine with how he leapt around.

Tuxedo’s roses didn’t and couldn’t penetrate through my mega level armor, but they still hurt like a son of a gun. That he was holding me off with roses and a cane was plain annoying and it rankled on me as a soldier that just finally hit mega level that I couldn’t take down a ponce like this one! The most dangerous thing about him was his ability to generate smokescreens and fire ridiculously powerful energy blasts.

The most surprising thing about our fight with Tuxedo Mask, or Crash as he was known by most of the Sailor Scout Servants aside from Sailor Moon, was that Canard continued to stay relevant throughout the fight. He was working in tandem with me so well.

He was amazing, he was and has always been team player in trying to get me an opportunity or an opening to deal with the annoying guy, but I was having problems finding a good moment to finally take Tuxedo down.

“Canard I can’t do it after you gave me so many opportunities!” I finally admitted out loud.

“Then swap out and give me the opportunity, a team player always knows when to switch it up!” Canard stated bluntly and I blinked. “I trust you Sami!”

Canard… right how to go about this, this guy dressed like a posh bastard or a stage magicians, his main offensive was a slow charge powerful attack that creates smoke. His roses were powerful, but not helpful against armored opponents and they wouldn’t be a problem for me if I wasn’t protecting Canard from a bulk of the attacks.

Canard had clashed with the cane that could double as a sword, he did so with digital energy. Our opponent was magically powered and is arguably the most dangerous out of the Sailor Scouts given he could even take me on while I was a Mega.

Was that Dodo and Frizzle moving on the Nexus? Wait, where was Dazzle… !? Did she biologically merged with… might explain the increase in size. Okay that’s something to worry about later, maybe it won’t cause issues?

We’re falling behind and as a good soldier, my situational awareness is on point and I wouldn’t let our friends go into the enemy stronghold without being there myself to pull everyone out of the fire if we needed to retreat, but in this instance I don’t think anyone was retreating.

I focused on Tuxedo, he was looking around worriedly for the other Sailor Scouts and he likely came to the same realization, he was the last one standing. Now how would I corral this and give Canard the opening he needed… also why was I only now considering hockey as a viable and most holy of religions?

Oh who am I kidding, I loved Canard and it was quite awkward for me that I did have thing for studying ducks. Ducks were fascinating creatures to me as my web browsing history would show. Having a turbo alien duck as a partner really made my day when he got a digivice bound to me, I was interested in ducks before, but this… this partnership was perfection and my digital core heated up.

Even if Canard was reluctant at first to have me following him around, I’m happy to not be a pile of dead pixels in a ditch somewhere forgotten by people who didn’t care if I live or died as long as I helped complete a mission.

“Canard left wing shot prep, I’m center and I’m not letting the puck past the right wing side!” Hopefully he got the message, I saw him nod and he had a swarthy handsome smile on his beak. “Aim for the center of the goal.”

“Goalie has no idea?” Canard asked.

“The Goalie is so lost on the ice, they are about to be run over by a Zamboni at half time.” I stated warmly and Canard laughed.

He definitely got the idea of my plan, now I just needed to set up.

My call out confused Tuxedo as I started to spray him with thousands upon thousands of rounds of ammunition from my turbo heavy machine cannon, guys got good defenses and I saw Canard readying for the set-up of my call out.

I just needed to expose Tuxedo’s weak point for Canard to take advantage, there’s no way Tuxedo would let me hit him there since he was paying more attention to me than Canard.

Tuxedo obviously didn’t consider Canard the larger threat of the two of us, which would be his major mistake considering Canard has been the one causing the most damage to him with the few hits he got in with his hockey stick so far. Said damage was mostly cosmetic at best, but still damage.

We needed a precision kill shot and I knew Canard was really good at precision shots.

I corralled Tuxedo and continued to fire missiles and machine cannon rounds at the wolf to keep him moving, I closed in while doing this at an insane speed and unsummoned both my right gatling cannon and my left missile gauntlet.

Close Quarter Combat with a digimon is never recommended, especially not a speed based Mega level like a Brigadramon like me. CQC capability was standard for all Commandramon even if we didn’t use it often or at all before we got fragged or deleted, because why would we when we have basically have what amounted to nigh infinite ammunition? In this case it was a boon and not just something nice to have and almost never need.

Tuxedo was too fast for Canard to really pull this off and give me an opening, but not nearly fast enough to avoid me giving him one!

I threw a flurry of punches, while trying to avoid an entire bushel of thrown roses at near point blank range. Tuxedo swung his cane for me with his left arm, I grabbed his wrist to avoid the magical weapon slicing into me, because I saw what it did to hundreds of my bullets that he had intercepted with it.

I grabbed his left shoulder with my left claw, he fired off that ridiculously powerful energy attack and I pivoted away from his right hand and then pulled him towards me while kneeing him in the groin with jet assisted burst from the calves of my left leg.

Tuxedo’s mouth went wide open as I doubled him over and then came in the energy puck down the center of the goal, that being Tuxedo’s mouth.

I always thought it odd he didn’t talk while I was shooting at him, it wasn’t hard to figure out why once I thought about it.

For all of Tuxedo’s fairly powerful magical defenses that prevented me from gunning him down, sadly for him they only covered the surface of his body and opening his mouth while I was spraying literal millions of bullets at him was a horrible idea. It kind of gave away the game really that he spent a lot of time taunting except when we were shooting projectiles at him. Which is why I had to be the one to engage him in CQC range.

The energy puck from Canard’s slap shot went right into Tuxedo’s mouth, and I pulled back my left claw closing it up into a fist as I crouched down and launched him upwards by the wrist with my right claw.

I boosted upwards with my jetpack, which I absolutely loved having, then threw a picture perfect uppercut into the annoying guy’s jaw forcing him to swallow the energy puck which promptly detonated under his magical protections.

I’ve seen plenty of heads explode before in my times as a Commandramon, but this was cathartic. Tuxedo’s body flopped to the ground missing most of his chest as his magical barrier contained the blast of digital energy.

“Goal!” I shouted cheerfully.

“Come on, we made it through the playoffs, but now we need to reach the championship game.” Canard stated and motioned for me to pick him up while staring at the Nexus. “Care to give me a ride?”

“Of course Canard, always!” I carried Canard in my left claw as we flew forward and my right arm brought up the heavy machine cannon.

No EP in my path survived even under half a second of firing my cannon as I approached the nexus. Hopefully we could catch up to the others.

-Tuxedo Soul-

I drifted away silently, I’ll just reincarnate or become a summoned servant and will be with my… wait was that the Moon Tiara Mag…

My screaming soul was promptly shredded by a dumb magical tiara.

-Pokémon underworld bureau of souls, Yvetal-

“Oh look Xerneas, confetti!” I said cheerfully much to the amusement of my antlered deer like legendary buddy.

Sure we have our spats, but we were quite busy with this whole Moon Cell business going on.

“Oh Yvetal, always the dark humor with you!” Xerneas still continued to laugh though, so I’ll call that a win. "So where do we put the time traveling nutcase?"
