Previous ChapterNext Chapter-Digital Realm (Pokémon Realm’s next door neighbors), Calumon-
“What is that thing?!” Sideline asked me as I smiled at him, he seemed panicked. There was nothing to worry about though!
“It’s my mobile home and friend silly!” I said brightly and I turned to look at the mechanical skull house with multiple mechanical limbs looking at me, it tilted its head curiously at me.
“Oh benevolent Yggdrasil System, can I change out for another job or vacation time? Please!” Why was Sideline saying that, did he not like being with me anymore? Did I do something wrong?
“Yeah sorry, she’s out to lunch… something about working up a relationship with someone named Arceus?” Oh it’s Peppercat, she’s really nice in a funny way. She’s a digibot who really knows how to have fun! Sideline also knows how to have fun, but he’s been a bit stuffy lately. “I’m glad to be on light duty after getting a new body… so what’s up with the giant mechanical dollhouse?”
“It’s my new mobile home!” I said cheerfully, my heart was always full of joy when nothing scary was happening. “It’s also my new friend I found just sitting around after all that scary stuff happened. Did I do something wrong and does Sideline hate me?”
“Don’t worry sweetie, Sideline still likes you, he just really needs some time to himself after playing with you so much. His run times are just a bit... run down.” Really Peppercat?! Yay, I’m a good digimon after all! “By the way Yggdrasil tripled your hazard pay for keeping Calumon safe throughout all of that and doing the talking and paperwork for our… ‘peace negotiator and delegate’.”
“Woohoo! Calumon it’s been an adventure, but I’ll be back some time much later. Be good for Peppercat for me!” Sideline certainly seemed happy about something as he was giving me a big hug before turning into his dog mode and running off in a joyous manner.
I’m happy that he’s happy!
-Planet Petopia Realm, Paw-Tucket rooftops, Pocus-
“Brainy, I have eyes on a different problem than the one we’re looking into.” I called into the communicator as I peak from behind a water tower to see a recognizable enemy lazing away on a rooftop, one that may or may not be related to our current fugitive issue.
“What is it Pocus?” Brainy was quick to respond as always, though she seemed oddly cheerful about something. “I was about to report Mammoth Mutt going down to the surface of Petopia to assist in the situation. Hot Dog is still working on the satellite relay to make sure they don’t escape the planet with Tail Terrier.”
“It’s Isis, the only way she could be here is...” I started to say only for Brainy finish what I was going to say.
“If she stole something and made someone really happy with it according to you… so it’s not just the good pets that can get into this place. I’m wondering why Petopia hasn’t experience problems with that before?” It seemed Brainy picked up on that. “Isis tends to steal magical artifacts, so be wary Pocus.”
“There’s a raccoon that came here, if you do a good enough job at making someone happy enough, then you can get a key to this mystical place… so I’m not exactly surprised that Gotham’s personal Cat Totem’s familiar has managed to steal something good enough to get such a response. It’s rare for the villainous to get into places like this, but not impossible. Those space cats got here through other means not natural as we already know, besides you know magic is my specialty Brainy.” I’m already betting Isis might know something, she wouldn’t be hanging around too lazily when she could be out causing problems. “Should I make a move on her? She’s alone and she might have intelligence on where Snooky Wookums and Agent Del might be if she was trying to meet up with them. Mechanikat could have something big going on here too and her capture might speed things up on our knowledge on what that is.”
“Do you think you can get her by yourself?” Brainy asked with some concern.
“She doesn’t appear to currently have anything magical on her aside from her personal key in and out of this place and you know how good I am at prestidigitation.” I quietly reached into my top hat to pull out a magician’s wand as I prepped the spells in my head. “So yes, I think I can take her.”
“Then do so.” Brain responded.
“Tropelet ot sisI!” After stating those magic words I immediately puffed out some bright blue smoke into existence next to Isis. “Isis come quietly or else!”
“Ugh… Pocus, so not a good day to run into the Abra-ca-rabbit!” Isis started backing up towards the edge of the roof. “With that living Dog Totem around, I was already pressing my luck as it was anyway…”
A ‘Dog Totem’ huh? Whatever plan anyone might have for Petopia is likely fail pretty badly if that totem gets involved and helps out Dog Star Patrol.
“Pots, Ezies sisI, ssap tuo!” Unfortunately the bolts of magic I sent at Isis missed the cat she quickly rolled backwards off the roof and I immediately ran over to investigate and saw her running for the portal into this world with her personal key in her mouth. She had bounced off an awning and, like any good cat, landed on her paws to start running without a single hint of injury. “Tropelet ot sisI!”
I quickly followed Isis through the main entrance to this realm no matter how many times she tried to evade me, my magic would protect me from the repercussions of not leaving the same way Dog Star Patrol and I came in.
“Nommus Annataz tuo fo a tah!” I screamed as soon as I appeared in the place where Isis was and she stared at me wide eyed that I managed to actually follow her back to her home.
I swirled my wand around the brim of my hat and then proceeded to pull a magician out of it.
-Some time after the picnic, flowery hillside, Pom-
The thing about this world is that it seems to have biomes for every kind of animal imaginable, so find one in particular that fit me didn’t take too long from searching around the edge of the forest. It was incredibly suspect that there was no one around where we were nor did anyone run into us, then again this was my first day here and maybe there was far less here to worry about here.
At least no one was around here today it seemed, I know I saw a lot of animals wandering around in the nearby town and they were likely the locals given their similar sizes.
That this area was relatively empty was something I was quite thankful for, both Marshall and Dormarch were napping against me for the last hour or so. It was hard to forget just exactly how young Dormarch still was despite all the amazing things he could do.
Even if I generally caused good sleep, Dormarch was tossing and turning in terror, until I gently woke him up and whispered that he was okay. Waking him up woke up Marshall too who seemed to have taken to the nap better.
“Is Dormarch okay?” Marshall asked as I held Dormarch close to my chest, he put his backpack and helmet back on. Marshall’s helmet or mechanical backpack wasn’t actually causing him any trouble as far as we could tell, so it was something about his body interacting with an environment that throws him off balance.
“Yeah, but he’s going to have problems sleeping for a while. Since I know I am as well.” That I was even getting peace at all here was amazing in and of itself, much less rest even if I was constantly ready for something to break my day. I was idly wondering where the smoke was for the fires I needed to put out, there was no way I could go the rest of this day in a mostly peaceful manner. It just wasn’t feasible or possible, to me at last, that such a place could exist where I wasn’t needed… for anything. “He had a bit of a bad experience before we got here… Dormarch why don’t you figure out more about Marshall’s clumsiness by playing tag with him?”
Yet, nothing happened aside from my watching over Dormarch and Marshall as they played tag while I rested, watching them playfully romp together as friends was nice.
Hopefully it was getting Dormarch’s mind entirely off of what happened in the Nexus, apparently transforming into his Mega form wasn’t nearly as stable as what Frizzle or Sami had. Also there’s the digital hazard symbol on Dormarch, which made sense as Dormarch did destroy Moon Cell. Imagine that kind of power being turned on Yggdrasil System… I can see why Dormarch was going to have nightmares for the next several weeks to a year.
Those Sitrus Berries I ate didn’t do much for the pain coming from my shattered leg, but I could certainly feel some bone knit itself together as excruciating as it was. My wool would retract when my leg was more solidified and not held together by wool wires.
I just watched as the two puppies played for about an hour and nothing went absolutely wrong… which feels quite wrong to me. I was expecting someone to across us needing help or for something to happen, but no, nothing exploded or drew my attention away from the two playful puppies I was watching over. Perfectly peaceful day on a flowery hill that I simply couldn’t… frolic through… I haven’t gone frolicking in a while.
At least Dormarch was enjoying himself with making a new friend, I sent him genuine smiles and a wave of my hoof when he checked on me.
Did I want something to happen? No. Did I want to know if everyone nearby was doing alright if something did? Yes, very much so. Didn’t see any fires though, so I could rest my chin on my front legs for the time being and just watch two good boys playing together.
I wonder what Dormarch would have to say about Marshall after he was done completely figuring out why he continued to be clumsy if it wasn’t exactly because of his fairly fancy somewhat heavy gear. Being an alien was only part of the problem Marshall was facing and we were going to help him.
Felt like I was a mother wolf overlooking her pups as they played.
-Sea side, Shanty-
I think I be liking beaches a bit more than I previously be doing, at least I be learning to appreciate them and the crashing waves. I be making sure that Ocellus and Smolder be having a message that this be the place Arceus be sending us to… still wanted to be taking Favela with us.
“Yeah a nice day at the beach with a really odd goat.” Trip stated and then turned to Quincy. “Not you of course, you’re my best friend bro.”
“Yeah, I know. Shanty, you don’t seem to be like everyone else that comes to Paw-tucket. Isn’t it pretty strange that she’s larger?” Quincy be a fainting goat, that be explaining his nervousness and him being really easy to tease into unconsciousness.
Still can’t help thinking there will be trouble in this world, but so far things are being quite peaceful. With Pom being around that was rather hard to expect or even be believing for too long.
The crashing of the waves of an unknown sea seems to be a singing a song to me, a song to relax… but I can’t be doing that if I be wanting Pom to be safe. I can be resting, but my constant vigilance was being quite warranted at this rate after what be happening in the Nexus.
I’m afraid that if I be blinking wrong that it would be being the end of Pom, she barely be surviving through all those servants and the chaos to just be being lightly injured. Well lightly injured for her as a broken leg isn’t nearly as bad as everything in her body failing constantly and her being hooked up to machines to even be surviving for five seconds.
Also Jeanne be still having the last Reviver Seed at the end of that as far as I be knowing, Pom could be really using that for the sake of my mind. At least we are all being alive.
What were the actual chances of Pom being… no, every time someone be tempting fate, things always be getting worse. So I will not be continuing down that line of thought at all… not being like things can be getting better than they currently were anyway.
“Help me build a sand castle?” It is being something I wanted to do to rest, I still be expecting something to go horribly wrong and all the muscles in my body were tense for an Assassin Reaper to come leaping at me.
“Sure!” Quincy be a nice guy, but he’s not being crew worthy… he has prior commitments and I think every being here would be having the same thing. Doesn’t mean we can’t be being friends or sharing an experience.
Trip is being very adventurous and brave for a hamster, but otherwise he was being a decent friend too and wouldn’t leave Quincy in possible danger by himself.
We’re likely in one of those worlds where anything that goes wrong, hardly ever does so at a threat to someone’s life… that is kind of being what we needed at the moment. What Pom be needing the most.
-Tent in a valley, Ocellus-
I yawned… ULP!
My cheeks swelled up and I went wide eyed. I immediately felt like throwing up, but was afraid that trying would only make it worse.
There was so much love in the atmosphere that I was gagging on it the second I opened my mouth. If Chrysalis were here this world would kill her for trying to drink it all in… someone please let Chrysalis come here and ultimately make that mistake!
I managed to swallow and barely opened my mouth testing the air. I find my mouth flooded with sickeningly sweet sugary love of this place, it was clearly enough that could it kill an unwary changeling through obesity.
I lightly swallowed and even that was a bit much for my stomach, breathing through my nose and not talking seemed like what I’d be doing a lot of here.
It was unfortunate as I really needed to help Pom through verbal therapy session for Lucha Mundo, he obviously not around to do so himself.
I knew Pom was okay, because of the notes left by Pom and Shanty that were quite easy to find.
Let’s see tent, different world, no Pokémon here because Arceus, in a valley inside a circus tent, keep any mass of dogs away from Pom, keep Smolder from setting someone on fire... just a bunch of generalities from Pom as per usual and Shanty heading out to see the nearest beach to have fun and drink some rum when no one is watching.
Honestly I liked some jokes, when I could understand them. Arceus’s humor could use some work, because even referring our lives to a circus it a little beyond the pale even if it’s factually correct.
Smolder won’t need to feed me here at least, you could possibly fill this place with changeling hives and they wouldn’t be able to starve for thousands of years if the love in the air was being constantly refreshed.
I would be breathing through my nose the entire time I was here, because I was afraid to open my mouth, at least the constant smell of hot cinnamon buns was nice and comforting. The magical atmosphere was as love filled as much as Equus’s atmosphere was magic filled. So about as thick as the familial love air in the home of Dalmatian family, just everywhere.
This world felt entirely safe, kind of like what Arceus promised… a nice peaceful place before we ended up in Tambelon when specifically Pom was ready. That had me worried, the longer we stayed here the higher the likelihood we were to run into some form of trouble.
I moved over to sit at the edge of the wagon and groaned, then quickly shut my mouth as more free love tried to stuff me silly. I’m pretty sure any other changeling would be happy to be here… before they violently exploded from overeating.
Why was this world, one that I was finding fairly dangerous for me, was actively trying to give me love?! It certainly felt targeted, as if the world was reacting to me being cute or adorable.
I’m fine thank you, the best love comes from Smolder, friends and family… I don’t exactly need all the free hoof outs at the moment! Though it was nice to be rewarded for my efforts, I would rather have a nice restful stay without becoming bloated… even if I can’t relax after the kind of adventures we’ve been on.
There was something I really wanted to say out loud, but actually opening my mouth here might be a problem for my stomach.
Nothing was ever truly as simple as it seems from my experiences traveling with Pom. I feel sorry for Pom, but maybe she can actually get some rest in this world… provided we didn’t need to fight a war, suddenly collapse half a city while containing an eldritch impossible to deal with threat or avoid being bombarded to death.
I checked outside the tent and saw a vibrant land like that of Equus, so familiar and only the landscape seemed alien. I can hope the food here tastes the same as what can be found on our home world, my friends had to be tired of tasting so many odd foods.
I knew Pom was definitely quite tired and sick of eating Sitrus Berries or drinking healing potions by now, probably far more tired of having to be a hero. At least we had just as many heroes stepping up to help Castle Alexander and hold the line as far as keeping a majority of the EPs busy while Pom and several others entered the Nexus and finished off a horror unlike any I’ve ever heard of before.
We had succeeded, but Pom had to have been exhausted in more ways than one. This world seemed nice, but I was rather upset that we didn’t even get a chance to say our goodbyes. Didn’t feel like we got any closure on that.
Going back to the wagon, I saw Dodo warbling curiously as he woke up and began looking around, he looked in a specific direction to tilt his head a bit and then instantly relaxed. I envied him, he was smart in his own way, but he was able to relax so easily and here I was worrying about Pom’s ability to relax.
Dodo gave me a questioning look, warbled merrily and then rubbed his beak against me affectionately before going back to lazing about. Dodo felt calm because Shanty was perfectly fine and nothing out there seemed to be threatening, otherwise he’d be rushing out of the tent and creating angry mechanical whining noises to attack anyone who’d hurt his favorite rider. He also seemed mildly upset about something, maybe missing Favela and the others?
We had still had some injuries. Speaking of, Dodo would probably be resting off all the dents and damage he took while fighting hundreds of EPs inside the Nexus with Favela and Shanty.
I wonder where the horseshoe was going to drop here. This world seems quiet enough at first glance and the love in the air was purely friendly.
I’m not relaxing entirely until I know for sure there isn’t danger coming at us, even this place should have some form of danger right? Well more dangerous than love the love in the air force unwanted gluttony on me.
I started nudging and shaking Smolder gently with my magic to get her to wake up.
-Paw-tucket Town, Dolly-
We walked down the street looking for the two cats of fairly specific descriptions Tusky gave me, I really didn’t want Pom to get dragged into this so I told Dormarch to keep her away from town until this issue was solved.
I did not want Pom getting stuck in any kind of fighting. Pom needed to relax and not be paranoid like she normally was, evil alien cats would be a bit much right now.
“Seriously? One of them is named Snooky Wookums?!” I snickered, but it didn’t seem like Tusky was thinking his name was as funny as I did.
“Most dogs who have never seen him in action think that, the name is funny up until you actually meet him eh.” Tusky was dead serious about it. “Just be wary of getting too close to him unless you’re confident in a close up fight.”
“So we’ve pointed out the salon, the fitness center, the apartments, the stadium, the restaurant with a sack of kibble to go, the amusement park… so how about a nice romantic run through the park?” Yeah, Roxy was exhaustingly chipper, I can see why her black cat friend was half asleep all the time.
“Does that include a skate park?” My excitement peaked after having seen the stadium where they had roller derby asked.
“It does.” The bird confirmed.
“Want to learn how to shred?” I asked Tusky.
“Sure, but I do not know how good I’ll be at it eh.” He did say he knew a guy that rode around on a flying jet board and he’s done things in space before. “Just remember to keep an eye out for trouble while we do so.”
I think I’ve manage to contain my raging hormones, even if Tusky was a ‘yes’ out of ten to me.
Okay brain, I get it, I like him on several levels as his accent was pretty fun. Now stop hitting the ‘happy button’ just because I’m making good acquaintances with a husky that will acknowledge me.
“Do you even know how to use that skateboard?” The black cat asked lazily.
My response was to toss my board down, jump on, do a kick flip in place and then slapped the rear end of the board while doing a one paw-stand off the nose as the tail end of my board pressed against the concrete.
“I don’t know you tell me?” I stated casually as I kept my body pointing towards the sky before while gesturing at the animals watching, I eventually swung my body down into my board and used my natural momentum of the impact to go rolling forward at the same speed everyone was currently walking. I turned to look at the cat with perfect balance on my board, hours of bruises would attest to my skill at being about to maneuver on the board about as well as I do on solid ground. “Where’s the nearest halfpipe at the park? I could certainly put on a show and I’ve had a lot of embarrassing times with this board.”
It wasn’t long before I was putting my board through its paces and apparently their friend enjoyed my skills. Said friend was turtle I hadn’t paid much attention to.
“She’s really good, huh Bev?” Roxy asked of her friend.
“Yeah, but I prefer roller skating.” The turtle answered immediately. “Still, girls got some amazing technique on top of her skills.”
“How are you doing that?” The cat asked and I sent her a grin.
Currently I was sitting on the back end of my board while doing a nose stall, the front end of my board was planted at the edge of the ramp. In this situation one would expect that the board would have already fallen back into the half pipe due to my weight entirely being on the far end of the board over open air like a diving board. When a biped was in such position they’d normally be putting weight on the front end of the board to hold the stall, I had a feel for these things more than any fancy mathematics that Dawkins might point out.
“Very carefully.” Saying this as I laid promptly moved hastily to lay down on my back and draped my legs and head off both sides of my board and stretched out just to show how comfortable I was with my currently seemingly precarious position.
“That didn’t look careful eh.” Tusky seemed amused.
“I’ve been to some really weird places with my board and am quite skilled with it… I ought to be at this point. Extreme sports is one of my talents.” Like up a vertical surface, I could fight something on a ceiling as if I were on the floor as long as I keep moving. “Just getting some rest, but I don’t think I’m going to be able to relax today as there is still so much to do…”
I asked Pom if I could bring a friend to the tent for the evening when dinner comes around, Pom was open and okay with it. Provided my friend wasn’t going to cause problems for our unusual circumstances for why we’re here, he could join us.
“Say, time permitting given the ‘special thing’ you need to take care of, want to have dinner at the tent with my family Tusky?” I said special thing with air quote digits on my paws, Tusky took time to think about that.
“Okay how did you do that… that’s more unbelievable than your current sense of balance.” The cat stated drawing the attention of her friends.
“Do what?” My confusion was real here.
“That thing you did with your paws, how did you make your digits spread out and move independently like that? Paws should not be that capable of looking opposable.” Figuring out what the cat was pointing out I did a jazz paws by spreading out my digits. “Yeah, that, doesn’t anyone else think that’s a little uncanny.”
“Not really, we’ve seen Trip do things like that.” Roxy stated to her apparent best friend.
“Trip is not a dog though Roxy, Dolly is a dog and her being able to do that with her paws is a little odd.” The cat stated while point a paw my way. “It’d be like Edie being able to articulate all of her feathers into individual fingers.”
“Call it a family trait, most of the dogs in my family can do this.” I say as I undid my helmet and took it off to hold it one paw, saw digits articulating far beyond what animals should normally be capable of doing.
“Yeah, now that I see her holding her helmet like… wait, isn’t what you’re currently doing dangerous?” Oh Dev the turtle, I’m a professional when it comes to dangerous stunts.
“Not unless I move towards the nose of my board. Like this for instance…” I place my helmet back on and then did so, the board immediately stopped being balanced in place and I went zipping down the halfpipe backwards and up the other side. I jumped off with a backflip to land on the edge on my front paws doing a paw stand and caught my board to balance it on my right rear paw.
“Okay, now you’re just showing off.” Rade stated, I think that was her name.
“Well of course I am, I like to showboat and it’s caused me a lot of problems before.” Like taking my own board to the jaw, breaking a leg and becoming a bruised mess after a particularly bad spill.
-Jade the black cat-
Okay, there is definitely something off with her, I’ll see what kind of odd plans she has at the tent for later this evening. This is something I had to get to the bottom of or it’s going to bother me for quite a while, her paws are way too dexterous to be normal.
The paws of my friends and even my own were good enough for most things and had some limited range of articulation, Paw-tucket had to be built somehow, but that kind of articulation of the paw? That was downright beyond what I’d call normal and into the range of abnormal, despite Dolly’s overall appearance being completely normal.
“Something wrong Jade?” Bev asked from next to me.
“No, it’s nothing… I might tell you later if it becomes something.” What are your secrets Dolly? I had to know; curiosity may have gotten to many cats before, but I will still find out!
-Tusky-
At least dolly was taking away everyone’s attentions from how unnatural I seem. It was hard for me to keep my drill tusk retracted for this long. It felt unnatural and the cat Jade was starting to really get a bit too curious about Dolly.
-Paw-tucket outskirts, Mammoth Mutt-
I landed where Tusky and Pocus had, looked around and then hid the drop pod and went to scout around the place Tusky hadn’t. He might be a bit distracted, but he was still doing his job.
The cats we’re looking for weren’t in town, but Isis had been here and that was worrying enough. The Cat Totem’s own familiar being present raised a number of red flags.
I had to get a move on with searching the outskirt areas that Tusky hadn’t covered yet, I was basically taking over for Pocus until he came back with the knowledge of what an expert thief was doing here.
“Hey there, need some help, it looks like you’re looking for something.” A raccoon stated as he poked up from a garbage can. “The names Scoot Racoonerson, if you need something found, lost or just plain fixed and maybe sometimes broken… then I’m a very talented raccoon. Wish I had more to do in life than bum around Paw-tucket, but if someone needs some help with something I’m open for anything.”
You just might get your wish depending on how talented you were, from what I can smell you were a relatively clean raccoon. Dog Star Patrol is always on the lookout for oddly talented animals, also ones that seemed eager to help others even if their personality might initially rub one the wrong way.
“My friends call me Mam.” Short for Mammoth, my species were particularly weird and we all looked like Chihuahuas to start off… until we started showing our true nature anyway. We stayed absolutely small in our basest state throughout our entire lives and barely physically grow in size at all. When it comes to threats… well, nothing really wanted to mess with my kind of canine on my home planet for a variety of reasons. “I’m looking for two cats that may seem about as out of place as I somewhat do. They are bad news and I mean they didn’t get here the normal way that was described to me.”
“Out of place? Huh, I did see this blue furred cat skulking about with one that had cream fur and a fairly haughty disposition.” Ooh, then you might have seen Snooky and his Partner Agent Del or 9-L. “Little guy’s been trying to find all kinds of metal. I always know the best places to find the stuff and something seemed entirely off about him so I didn’t approach. Call it a feeling, but I don’t think anyone wants him to get as much metal as he’s been pulling from the garbage piles. So I might have gotten some help with moving metal away from where he might try to scrounge it up.”
“Well that’s good news at least.” Since if Snooky is trying to gather metal, he’s building something and that always spells trouble for the rest of Dog Star Patrol.
“Can you tell me why?” Scoot said with a raised brow.
-Marshall-
After tripping twenty or so times playing hide and seek, tag and moving I Spy, Dormarch said he knew what the problem was and would talk with his mother about.
I took out my scanner and looked at the scan of myself, how would I have ever known I was different from normal dogs… if all the dogs I met are just like me?
When I met Ryder again, I was going to ask him about taking me out of Adventure Bay, or at least helping me get information about dogs that were based around our local area.
“Come on Marshall, I’ll show you to where we’re staying and then I can get on training you to have less problems when moving around.” Motioning to me with her front left leg Pom then started an awkward three legged walk.
I barked eagerly and started running after her and Dormarch, only to trip and fly over both of them and slam into a mud puddle roughly on my back.
“I would ask if you were okay, but you’re several times more durable than one would expect.” Pom stated as she helped me up and out of the mud. “Come on, let’s get you washed off. I don’t think we need to be cautious here Dormarch. So let’s just start moving openly.”
-Dormarch-
Yeah, I really didn’t want to tell mom about what Dolly found out about there being evil alien cats possibly plotting something. In fact, I wanted mom to remain ignorant of the situation entirely and Dolly agreed.
This was going to be awkward as I’d have to tell Shanty, Ocellus and Smolder about that without alerting Pom to a possible problem she’d actively hunt down if she knew about it.
-Shanty-
“Want to be coming back to the tent with me?” They were being of the friendly sort and I can be trusting them to not be making a fuss.
“Sure!” Quincy answered in a friendly manner and started following me. “So… you’re a pirate and your friends are dimension traveling heroes?”
“Still heard and seen weirder stuff.” Trip stated lackadaisically. "Maybe I can introduce you to Sunil, he's this magic mongoose I know. Tends to get into really weird reality bending situations called heart songs."
Author's Note
Yep, Littlest Pet Shop: world of our own + extended universe added.
Now for the premise to really sink in... making sure Pom avoids awareness of 'ANY' form of trouble and reacting to it in her usual demeanor, regardless of how fast she could help or solve the situation.
Pom is not the only paranoiac anymore. Her friends are equally paranoid at this point as well, rightfully so no less.
