Sunset and Goku had returned to their home upon Kin Toun. Gohan walked out “I see you returned, I saw the sky turn dark. I’m sure their intentions were pure.”

Sunset frowned “Twilight died along the journey, she was brought back by the Dragon Balls. It was what Bulma wished for, she learnt a lot from the journey.”

Gohan frowned “Well since you returned upon Kin Toun I know you have met my former master, Roshi.” He passed them a letter “This is a letter for him, I wish for you both to train under him. He knows a great deal about fighting and you will learn much from him that I do not know.”

Goku looked at Gohan with worry “Are sure you will be okay on your own, Grandpa?”

Gohan chuckled “I’ll be fine, I’ve lived alone for many years. Just make sure to visit every now and then.”

Sunset gave him a hug “Thanks dad, we’ll make you proud.”

Gohan chuckled to himself as they headed to their rooms pack their belongings “You two already have me prouder than anyone has any right to be. Those two have made these elderly years of mine the best in my life.”

Sunset and Goku come down the stairs, wishing their farewells before heading off on Kin Toun. The pair flew across the ocean on the back of the yellow cloud, they landed in front of a small wooden house with the words ‘Kame House’ on it. Goku guided his mum to the door “This is the door.”

Sunset knocked on the door “Master Roshi, we wish to speak with you?”

They heard the sound of footsteps, Roshi opened the door and saw them “I must admit I wasn’t expecting to see either of you.”

Sunset gave him the letter, Roshi opened the envelope and began to read. Roshi read it carefully, he looked up at them “I see. Very well I will train you both but I need to retrieve some things first.”

Goku bounced up and down “This is exciting! I can’t wait to get to training!”

Sunset smiled “Well I’m glad your eager for this, I can’t deny that I’m excited as well. Learning form the one who taught Gohan.”

At that moment Roshi came down with two sets of clothes, Roshi handed them the clothes. Sunset and Goku winced slightly as they felt the increase in weight, Roshi explained “These are weighted training clothes and will help further your training. Now get changed and join me outside.”

The two walked outside after doing as he asked, both feeling the weight of their clothes. Roshi tossed his turtle shell off and removed his shirt. Both looked at him confused until he bulked up in almost a second. He looked at them “Come at me with everything you have.”

Sunset nodded to Goku, Sunset rushed forward. Roshi watched carefully, Sunset feinted a punch. She ducked the swing grabbing Roshi’s arm and slamming him into the ground. Goku followed suit with jumping on his gut. Roshi pushed him off and turned to Sunset kicking her in the side sending her hurtling into the water.

Sunset shouted “Goku, time to test out that technique!” Sunset formed a ball of energy throwing it at Roshi, Roshi blocked the orb. It didn’t really hurt him, only singing his arm hairs. Goku bounced it it back, it growing slightly larger. Roshi felt the attack burn his back this time as it bounced back to Sunset.

The attack almost doubled in size as Sunset bounced it back, Roshi could feel the energy coursing through it as it exploded on contact this time. Roshi winced as she stood up “Your teamwork is good. Still this is for you to go stronger, not beat me so don’t do that again.” Both of them nodded as a bald kid watched them earnestly.

Meanwhile

Twilight entered into her shared dorm room with two beds as well as both a kitchen and bathroom in it. That was normal, what was not was her roommate was doing push ups on the floor as well as the fitness equipment all over the floor. Twilight frowned “What are you doing?”

Bulma grimaced “I wasn’t strong enough, you died because of me. I won’t let that happen again.”

Twilight deadpanned “You don’t have to do that.” She then shook her head before smiling “Do you want to go and see a movie?”

Bulma hopped up “Sure, what did you plan on seeing?”

Twilight cheered “Invasion of the Mecha Zombies, come on we need to get tickets!” Bulma ran after Twilight who was bolting out the door. They arrived at the theatre, it wasn’t too crowded. It only took them a couple of minutes to get popcorn and their tickets.

They sat towards the back, the two smiled as they watched the movie. Twilight was watching eagerly at first but began to tire and laid her head on Bulma’s shoulder. Bulma smiled as she rubbed her friend’s head. Bulma whispered to herself “This is nice, I should have done this sooner.”

After the movie finished, Twilight smiled as they left the theatre “That was a great movie, I can’t wait for the sequel to come out. Would you join me when it comes out.”

Bulma smiled “Of course, I am enjoying company and honestly I should have been a better friend from the beginning. We need to get back to the dorms, we have classes tomorrow.”

The pair returned to the dorm, Twilight pulled out a book from her shelves while Bulma began doing push ups. Twilight turned to her “You really don’t need to train like that you know.”

Bulma frowned “I ... want ... to. I... promise… that… I .. will... be... stronger.” Bulma then laid down on her back and started doing sit ups.

Twilight sighed as she watched her friend “Just don’t overdo it, I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Bulma smiled “I won’t, don’t you worry I am pacing myself.” Twilight nodded to her with a smile, both happily enjoying the presence of the other.
