Two months had past since the arrival of Goku and Sunset, Sunset spent her days lightly training with Gohan as well as taking care of Goku. Sunset woke up to see Goku stumbling around, she smiled as stumbled over to her. He stumbled and fell into her arms, he looked up at her “m-m-mama.”

Sunset hugged him tears streaming from her face “Your first words, Goku..”

Goku blinked “G-g-goku.”

Gohan entered as Sunset smiled warmly at Goku “Yes Goku, that is your name. It is what people call you, my name is Sunset but to you, call me mama, mum or mummy. No matter what happens I will always protect you.”

Goku smiled as hugged Sunset “T-t-thank y-y-you mama.”

Sunset smiled “Do you want to watch me and Grandpa Gohan train. One day you will join us, I’m sure of it.” Goku nodded energetically, Sunset picked him up and carried him outside. Gohan following along Sunset placed Goku next to the hut.

Sunset powered up as did Gohan, Gohan smiled “You have made outstanding progress these last couple of months.” Gohan rushed forward delivering a lightning fast punch, Sunset ducked and countered with her own which he blocked.

Sunset grinned as she blocked a punch “I still have a long way to go before I match you, if you were serious then I would lose.” Goku watched on excitedly, a fire that he had long forgotten started to burn in his eyes. He began mimicking the moves Sunset’s movements, trying to copy some of them only to fall on his bottom. He stood up again, watching his mother as she dodged and countered.

Sunset kicked Gohan up into the air, spun in mid air and crashed down with a mighty kick smashing the ground where she was. Sunset rushed forward only to be knocked back by wave of energy. Gohan chuckled “I still haven’t taught you everything yet.”

Sunset chuckled back “I know but now is time for meditation.” She walked over to Goku and picked him up, she walked next to Gohan who was sitting there. She placed Goku in between them and closed her eyes “This may seem like the boring part but mental acuity is as important as the physical side of training. For now you simply need to find on your core and focus on it, this will allow you to use ki.”

Sunset’s energy was flowing like the breeze around her, leaves in the clearing floated in the air effortlessly before circling around her. She could hear the life of the planet embracing her aura as if it was a close friend. She barely even acknowledged Goku’s energy flaring up alongside her.

She took a deep breath as she focused her ki on the large boulders around her and lifted them into the air. She thought to herself (This much harder than using magic, this require me to lift the whole weight.) She began to spin them around in a circle, faster and faster as sweat formed on her brow.

Gohan opened his eyes and watched in awe as the boulders flew around faster and faster. Yet despite the speed, there was no damage to any of the boulders. Sunset collapsed as the boulders fell to the ground, Goku jumped in shock.

Goku ran over “Mama, are you alright!”

Gohan walked over and smiled as he threw Sunset over one shoulder “She’s just tired and needs to rest. She has a terrible tendency to overdo it as you can see, this just first time you see her do that. She will be out there again in half an hour.” Goku looked at his mother with worry, as they returned the hut Gohan laid Sunset on the floor and placed Goku next to her.

Goku laid against her side, Gohan sat down at the small desk and pulled out some parchment. He pulled out a pen and began to write a letter for the future. Sunset was incredibly capable and maybe one day would be ready to train with his former Master, Roshi. He heard Sunset had already begun to stir, Gohan frowned “How does she recover from exhaustion so fast?”

Sunset woke up and hugged Goku, Sunset smiled “Want to watch me train some more?”

Goku cheered “Yeah!” Sunset walked out and started doing push ups on a single arm. Goku followed her, he watched as she pushed herself off the ground. Goku started bouncing “Go mama!” Goku’s encouragement only pushed her to do more. She only stopped when Goku’s stomach growled, Goku looked pleadingly at her.

Sunset pushed off the ground and landed on her legs, she picked up Goku and carried him inside. She walked over to the small fridge and pulled out some food, she was thankful Goku’s teeth had already grown in and he had no problem consuming solid food. Although his huge appetite was strange, she took out what would be a three course meal to the average human or pony.

Sunset placed it in front of Goku and he eagerly dove into the meal. Within a couple of minutes, the huge tray was bare of food. Goku burped happily as Sunset sighed “I will need to teach you some manners one day. Still considering we live in a forest in the middle of nowhere, that is not an immediate cause for concern I suppose.”

Goku turned to her “M-m-manners?”

Sunset frowned “It is how you are supposed to act in polite company, how you interact with others who aren’t that close to you. I have never been fond of it but it is important to get through life. I’ll teach you more about manners when the time comes.”

Goku pouted “I-i-it s-s-sounds b-b-boring.”

Sunset giggled “It is the most boring thing you can imagine but it is necessary to make your way through society. Still it is important to be yourself when you are at home, let’s not worry about those complicated things right now. For not let’s just enjoy life and continue to grow stronger together.” Goku nodded excitedly.
