Chapter 41: 7 Years Later

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Seven Years had passed since the defeat of Cell, Miso was sitting on Kin Toun. She wasn’t looking forward to this, school with other kids. Scootaloo was the only kid she knew that was about her age and she was more interested in gadgets than martial arts so that was what they usually talked about.

Miso hopped off Kin Toun, she still had time before school started. She rolled her eyes at billboard, she muttered “I can’t believe that people think he beat Cell.”

Miso sighed she heard gunshots “On my first day too.” She leapt around the corner to see robbers who has clearly stolen from the bank in a conflict with the local police.

She leapt forward and kicked one of the robbers into the ground. Another one turned to fire on her, she casually caught his bullets and knocked him out. The robbers shouted as they tried to get into their vehicle “We need to escape!”

Miso teleported in front of the truck and punched a hole in it’s engine, she then proceeded to pull every robber out of the car and knocked them out. She then turned to the police “Arrest these people.”

The police looked up and down at Miso, despite her mother’s best efforts she looked quite like a delinquent. She was wearing torn blue jeans, dark green combat boots, a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket. A badge for the Orange Star High school was pinned on the jacket.

It was at that moment that a black haired girl wearing a loose white shirt and black shorts as well as a pair of boots. The girl walked over to the police “I rushed here to teach these robbers a lesson. Who stopped them?”

The officers pointed to Miso “She did.”

The girl walked turned to Miso “This delinquent beat them.”

Miso’s eyes narrowed “You do like to judge people before you ask their name. I’m Miso and I have to get school.”

The girl frowned as Miso turned around “I’m Videl and I go to the same school.” Videl ran after her “How did you do that?”

Miso shrugged “Everyone of my family has been a martial artist, my great grandfather Gohan. My grandmother Sunset and my grandfather Vegeta. My father Goku and my mother Chi-Chi as well. It’s in the family and I enjoy it thoroughly.”

Videl frowned “What experience do you have in fighting?”

Miso frowned “I don’t have that much raw fighting experience but I have done a lot of training. Well when I’m not studying I guess, one must live a balanced life. What do you know of the Cell Games anyway?”

Videl frowned “Not much other than my dad is lying, he always has been a compulsive liar. He also is a complete coward and everyone is stupid enough to fall for his garbage. It doesn’t help that his lies are so bad that I don’t know how everyone believe all of them.”

Miso smiled “Well because it’s easier to believe that then to believe that s single creature to destroy your whole world. Such things help keep the peace, those who fight to save it prefer to fade into the shadows. To keep the true dangers of the universe a secret.”

Videl raised an eyebrow “What does that mean?’

Miso giggled “Nothing.”

They soon arrived at school, Videl went in first while the teacher called in Miso. The teacher smiled “Young Miso is quite smart, she aced the entry exams.”

Miso waved with her fingers “Sup.” She took a seat next to a blond girl, her hand glowed as her book and pen appeared in front of her.

The blond girl blinked “Wait aren’t you that girl who beat up those criminals?”

Miso shrugged “They were no big deal, they were just some common thugs. Fools who think they can take on the champ.”

The Blond guy smirked “You seem pretty strong, I’m Sharpner. You should join one of the sport’s clubs.”

Miso waved her arm “I have studying and training to do. I really don’t want to cut down on either.’

The Blond girl smiled “Oh I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Eliza. What kind of training do you do?”

Miso frowned “I do martial arts training, I’m fighter as are my parents as are their parents.” Miso then turned forward “I suggest we quiet down, the teacher might get mad.”

The next period was sport, they were playing Baseball. A muscular couch took them to the field, Miso stood there as Videl smirked at Sharpner “I’ll take you on.”

Miso shrugged as Sharpner hit the ball in her direction a tremendous speed for a normal human. For Miso however it was really slow, she leapt into the air and caught the ball. She then tossed it to the third guy who fell over as he caught it.

This lead to the teams swapping over, the couch blinked “How did you do that?”

Miso shrugged “I am just strong.” She walked to pick up the bat, she held in her right hand. Sharpner stood opposed to her, she smirked as he threw it. She hit the ball so hard that it exploded on impact, Miso giggled “Oops.” After the sports period the rest of the day past like normal, Miso stepped out of her last class and teleported home.

Miso reappeared was outside her home, she entered with a smile. Chi-Chi smiled “How was school?”

Miso frowned “Boring, I didn't learn anything we haven't already covered. I’ll head up stairs to do some studying then I’ll join the others for training.”

Chi-Chi frowned “Did you make any friends.”

Miso frowned “I’m not sure but I guess Hercule’s daughter is interesting. She is probably the only who doesn’t believe his crap.”

Chi-Chi frowned “Where did you learn how to speak words like that.”

Miso giggled “I figured it out myself, sometime you need a stronger word to describe something. Trust no other words can describe the nonsense that guy spews out of his mouth.”
