The next day Miso was sitting in her classroom, Miso raised an eyebrow as a beeping sound came from Videl’s wrist. She answered and a voice came through “Two criminals were spotted in Landsell Town. They’re on route 82 and heading towards the mountains.”

Videl stood up, Miso focused on Videl for a moment locking onto Videl’s ki signature. Videl ran out the door “I’ll be back.” The teacher looked at her with concern.

Miso focused on her work, she sat there until she felt Videl’s energy fluctuate downward. Miso stood up “Videl’s in trouble, I will be back in a minute or so.”

Miso put her fingers on her head and vanished. She reappeared next to Videl one large man was unconscious on the ground, another smaller man was holding a smoking firearm. Videl was holding her back and belly, blood on both her hands.

Miso crouched down and put her hands on Videl, green energy burst forth the wounds closing up. Videl puffed “Thanks.”

Miso smiled “No problem, I’ll take this from here.” Miso started walking towards the robber with a scowl. So that was you was it.”

They man began firing his gun, the bullets flattened and fell to the ground as they hit her. Videl watched in awe as Miso snatched the man’s gun and knocked him out. Videl cuffed both of them. Videl groaned “Urghh, I can’t believe I got caught off guard so easily.”

Miso smiled “Come over to my place after school. I could teach a few things.”

Videl frowned “How did you heal me anyway?”

Miso smirked “Magic.” She then put a hand on Videl's’ should and teleported them back to class. The entire class looked at Miso, she took and Videl took their seats without much fanfare.

Eliza looked at the both of them “What happened out there?”

Videl winced “One of them got a lucky shot while I focused on the other.” She looked down “I hate to admit but for the first time I my life I was really scared. I thought I was going to die, I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do.”

Sharpner frowned “I thought you were fearless, I guess I was wrong.”

Miso glared at him “Fearlessness is stupid, it just means you don’t care if you get killed. Now be quiet.”

After classes that day, Miso teleported herself and Videl to her home. As soon as they arrived, a huge explosion rocked the area. Videl flinched “What was that!”

Miso shrugged “That was, dad, grandpa and grandma sparring. They do every day, it’s really normal.”

Miso shrugged “I’ll teach you some of the basics, come with me.” She then pointed to a row of tree “We are going to mediate under those trees, it will help you learn the basis of ki control. You need to let it come to you.”

The two sat under the tree as Goku, Vegeta and Sunset flew over head. Videl and Miso started meditating as Goku punched Vegeta into a mountain, only to block a kick from Sunset.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the world, a dark pink creature with flat hair walked around “Where has that stupid wizard hidden himself? I can’t believe has hidden himself so well. I will find him.”

Days passed like this for a while, Miso helping Videl learn how to use and sense Ki. About ten days later, Videl frowned “Are you entering the Tenkaichi Budoukai?”

Miso frowned “We didn’t see the point, no-one there will really be worth fighting.”

Videl’s eyes narrowed “Well I’m entering and I will see you there! Prove to me how strong you are! Besides the winner gets ten million zeni! I doubt you can say no to that!”

Miso paused “I must admit, my family could use that money. We have quite a bit of expenditure!”

Sunset landed “Well if you are entering, we might as well enter too. The more chances the better right.”

Videl smirked “Well the tournament is tomorrow, don’t be late. I need to get back home, my dad will want to see me.”

The next day everyone was at the tournament grounds, Jackie smirked “I hope all of you have been training!”

Bulma gave her a thumbs up “I definitely have!”

Tien was talking to Yamcha, 18 was standing there talking to Krillin. 17 was standing next to 13, their eyes watching the bald monk carefully. Sunset, Goku, Vegeta and Miso were all together. Piccolo and Rainbow were leaning against the same wall.

They paused as Mr Saran and Videl entered the area, everyone cheered “MR SATAN!”

Videl snuck away while her father was soaking up the crowd, Videl grimaced “My father is such a showboat.”

Miso whispered “One of us will certainty show him when the time comes.”

Everyone signed up and entered the preliminary area. An announcer shouted “A Punch Machine will be used to judge you. Mr Satan will be the first to demonstrate his prowess.”

Mr Satan shouted as he entered the area “How could anyone hope to beat me!” All of the Z-Fighters deadpanned, they all noticed that the two strange energies that while lower than theirs were slippery trying to wriggle out of their ki and far higher than everyone else around them.

They turned back to see Mr Satan punch the machine, the announcer shouted “137 Points. He got 137 Points!”

The crowd whittled down as everyone hit the machine scoring points none higher than Mr Satan’s, it was Videl’s turn follow by the rest of the Z-Fighters. Videl punched it, the announcer shouted “180 Points! It seems the daughter is stronger than the father!”

Miso smiled “Not bad Videl but it’s my turn.”

Videl smirked “Now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is.”

Miso walked over to the machine and tapped it with her finger. The announcer shouted “900 POINTS! The machine must be broken, we’ll use the other one.”

They wheeled out the other one, Miso repeated her movement. The Announcer's draw dropped “950 POINTS!”

The rest of the Z-fighters scored between 800 and 1000. Miso smirked at Videl’s who jaw was hanging open “I told you why we don’t enter this tournament. It’s boring.”
