Author's Note

So, if you've made it here, just know that I've never written a story before, just had brainstorms every now and again. I dont know how to put this in a way so that it can seem fun to you guys, but its going to get there, i swear. Also, Im gonna make a story at least every month.

Constellation Contemplations [edit] (1

You ever just look up at the stars and be like: "wow, look at that!" And then just sit there, maybe fall asleep? Yeah, I did that too one night. I have a little skylight in my room. I noticed the stars looked different. It looked like a pony. Or something else. I couldn't make it out. I couldn't look away from it either. My life was pretty boring. Until today.

I asked my mom about it, and she said she didn't see anything. She got me a book about the stars though. It was a kind of broken book, and it has a lens on the cover. It was supposed to be magical, and when you looked through it, it showed you what constellation you looking at.

I used it on the stars that I saw, but something.. Strange happened. I looked through the glass, and it went black. It was like it was being covered in ink. Okay, so it broke. I did my best to fix it, then I tried again. It was darkening again, so I tried to use my magic to hold it open. I see something! What is it!? It.. it says..

"The spell..."
"Sleep.."
"Help."

Then It shattered.

Its the next day, and my eye is swollen. My mom fixed it up for me and bandaged it.

"You need to be more careful" she said.
"What would I do if this situation called for a doctor? We cant just walk you right into the hospital."

I knew she was right, yet I also knew that I needed to find out what this star is telling me. I don't have the slightest clue what could be up there, but when i find out, im gonna do something about it and escape this boring life.

"If you find what you're looking for, you should let us know" said my stepdad. "You know, star magic is really powerful, and if you actually found some unknown star, you might be able to help a lot of people with it."

"I'll remember that, thanks."

They left talking about something, and when they were gone I got out the glass and mended it with my magic. It stayed open for longer when I used my magic on it, and only I could see the stars, so it has to have something to do with me. Hopefully I can fix it. Maybe make it from out of pure magic, but how?

The book had a chapter on the lens, so I read into that, and found that some letters were capitalized in weird patterns.
that's strange I thought. Everything else seems normally~
Ohhh, I thought i had a realization just then.
maybe this is some secret to find out what the stars mean!

Well, I wasn't wrong. I put the letters together, and got this:

'harmony' 'three' 'sleep' 'magic' and 'help'
For each paragraph.

That doesn't explain anything, most of that was what the stars said. Maybe I did something wrong. I picked up the book with my magic, and-wait...

Its glowing!

Oh, I did It! It just needed a jumpstart! With my magic to... to, ah..
Its glowing, what happened? I'm feeling light headed. Oh no, what did I do?
