The Phoenix Knight

“Come on Adamant! If you aren’t out here soon then I’m going to ditch you in ten seconds flat!” Rainbow Dash shouted as she pressed on Adamant’s doorbell.

“I’m awake RD” Adamant Blade exclaimed as he opened his front door.

This time Adamant Blade was wearing a rhino-gray colored short-sleeve hoodie over a cherry-red t-shirt, khakis and sky-blue, snow-white sneakers; he also had on an alive-green backpack with Crimson Feather hanging onto his belt.

On the other hand, Rainbow Dash was wearing a sapphire-blue colored short-sleeved hoodie that had a daffodil-colored stripe on the sleeves, a snow-white tank-top that had a sapphire-blue line going around from the front to the back, the tank top also had a light stone-gray cloud with a rainbow colored lightning bolt coming out of it on the front, she was also wearing indigo-colored pants that had a rainbow lightning bolt coming down the legs on both sides along with sapphire-blue, white and rose-red running shoes that had a daffodil-colored lightning bolt on each shoe; She was also carrying a grease-black duffle bag over her shoulders.

“Finally you’re awake wait, what’s that?” Rainbow Dash asked as she pointed to the Crimson Feather.

“Well apparently it’s a family heirloom which just so happens to be a Soul-weapon that is now mine” Adamant exclaimed as he scratched the back of his head.

“Oh cool...wait you have a Soul-weapon now?” Rainbow Dash asked in shock.

“Yea, I also named it Crimson Feather but I have no clue what it’s abilities are, nor do I know what abilities Im gonna get either” Adamant exclaimed as he stepped out and closed the door behind him.

“Wait you don’t know your Soul-weapon’s abilities?” Rainbow Dash asked as the two started walking to school.

“Pretty much, my grandparents didn’t explain them to me or they don’t know what they are either” Adamant explained after letting out a yawn. “Also I think it’s a double Soul-weapon”

“How do you know?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Well because grandpa told me that the piece of metal my ancestor used to forge Crimson Feather was fused with a phoenix’s soul as well as thus bird shaped mark appearing on hand” Adamant explained as he showed her the mark.

“Whoa cool, so then are you going to transfer to some magic classes?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Hopefully, and I’ll probably also try and sign up for the tournament portion of the competition coming” Adamant replied as the two reached a crosswalk.

“Well then good luck” Rainbow Dash exclaimed before going to cross the street.

“Wait!” Adamant exclaimed as he grabbed Rainbow Dash’s arm right when she was about to cross.

“Huh why-” Rainbow Dash started when a semi sped past them. “Whoa, thanks dude!”

“Eh you’re welcome” Adamant replied after letting go of Rainbow Dash’s arm.

“But uh how’d you know that a semi was going that fast?” Rainbow Dash questioned.

“I heard it coming I guess” Adamant replied while shrugging.

“Dude...I didn’t even hear it coming, much less have that much time to react!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed in bewilderment. “Okay I probably could of react but still!”

“I don’t know what to tell you Dash” Adamant replied while shrugging. “But if we don’t hurry up then we’re gonna be late”

“...Good point, come on!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed before the two crossed the street after checking to see if it was safe.

“By the way Rainbow, are you going to sign up for the tournament as well?” Adamant asked as the two rushed to make it before the first bell.

“Oh you bet and you know my friend Applejack?” Rainbow Dash replied.

“Yea, what about her?” Adamant questioned as they got closer to their school.

“She’s entering the tournament too, so if you manage to enter then we’ll have our three-person team for the event!” Rainbow Dash explained.

“Great and it looks like we’ll make it before the first bell!” Adamant replied as the two rounded a corner.

“Good, the sooner you-ah shit!” Rainbow Dash started to say before tripping, landing on the ground knee first and screaming in pain while clenching her knee.

“Rainbow!” Adamant exclaimed before rushing to his friend’s aid. “What happened?”

“I t-tripped and I l-landed on my knee!” Rainbow Dash managed to say through her grunts of pain. “I-I think it’s b-broken!”

“Uhhh hold on I’ll call 911!...” Adamant replied while he searched for his phone.

As Adamant was trying to dial 911 he hadn’t realized it but his left hand had moved to a couple of inches above Rainbow Dash’s knee and began glowing a golden-yellow color.

“Wait what the? T-the pain in my knee is fading...” Rainbow Dash thought before opening her eyes and seeing Adamant healing her. “Uh Adamant, what’s going on?”

“Uh...I’m about to call 911 why, isn’t that what everyone normally does during an emergency?” Adamant asked as he showed his that he was about to press the call button.

“No, I mean what’s happening to with your hand?” Rainbow Dash replied as she pointed to Adamant’s glowing hand.

“What do you...what the heck, uh I’m not doing that or at least I don’t think I am...” Adamant exclaimed before he set his phone down and brought his hand up to his face.

“Well whatever you did seemed to have healed...my knee...wait a minute, I think you’ve gained another ability from your Soul-weapon!” Rainbow Dash replied before checking to see if there was any pain left in her knee, only to find no pain at all. “Call me crazy but I think one of your abilities is to heal others because I’m literally feeling no pain in the knee I landed on!”

“Whoa really?” Adamant asked as the light faded from his hand.

“Yep, I’m one-hundred, twenty percent sure!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she stood up, did some running in place motions and did some karate kicks using her knee.

“That’s good but maybe try not to trip again” Adamant replied before turning off his phone and putting it back in his pocket.

“Don’t worry I-” Rainbow Dash started to say when the first bell rang. “Dang it, lets go!”

“Alright!” Adamant replied before the two started sprinting to make it to their classes before the second bell. “I guess I’ll register during break time...”
