Adamant Blade is a 15 year-old magic-less sophomore at Canterlot Highschool, which teaches students who have magic and who don't have magic at the same time, however those who don't have magic are unable to participate in some of the bagic based classes as well as some of the magic based events. Well one day Adamant Blade is suddenly able to attend all of the magic classes and participate in the magic based events which shocks his best friend, Rainbow Dash; due to him discovering his family's heirloom, a legendary Soul-weapon which combines the 2 things a Soul-weapon can be.

As the days pass Adamant Blade becomes friends with Rainbow Dash's other friends as well as making a new one during a competition between the all magic private school, Crystal Prep and Canterlot Highschool. However, soon after the competition one of the most dangerous prisoners of a nearby prison escapes and starts using his Black Magic to create havoc in the area.
