Gone
PROLOGUE
Emptiness, it’s what describes what I have felt most of my early life as a child. It describes what I had only felt and known at that time. Then I met this Woman and her young child who was the same age as me.
“Oh my gosh you poor thing!” I looked down
“Where are your parents?” I just stayed looking down starting to tear up”.
“I…I have no family,"
The mother had a long sad look on her face. As I wipe off my tears the little girl behind her started to slowly walk towards me. She had big cute eyes and long pink hair with a yellow dress that had pink butterflies on it. She seemed shy at first but then she tells me
“Umm...Don’t be sad...We can take you in….If umm...That’s okay with you.” She then smiles and gives out her hand. I was too busy looking at her smile. It had overwhelmed me and I grabbed her hand as she helped me up. The girl then asks me
“What’s your name?” I just stood there silent at her for a minute.
“S-Sikanto” I had told them.
“Oh, that’s a nice name you have there.” The mother had said.
“I’m Sarah and this is my daughter Fluttershy.” She points towards the girl in front of me.
Fluttershy had a nice welcoming smile on her face.
“Nice to meet you Sikanto.” She then giggles.
“That’s a funny name.” I think for a minute then I laugh.
“Yeah It is.” During that moment I had felt laughter and happiness for the first time. Sarah then said
“Fluttershy and I were just about to go home” I look at Fluttershy and Sarah then I smile.
“Sure!” I follow them to their car in the parking lot.
“Umm..Is there a father?” I ask as I look up at Sarah. Sarah stops all of a sudden and looks down at me
“No, He left when Fluttershy was just a baby. We’ve never heard from him since.” She had a smile on her face but I had known that she was trying to hold back the anger and hatred for what he had done. That told me that I wasn’t the only one who was abandoned and left for dead.
After finding the car we enter and we have a long car ride towards home. During the ride Fluttershy had hummed a small tune that was beautiful and soothing. It made me forget about the hard times I had and told me
“You now have a family that loves you.” After 10 more minutes Fluttershy fell asleep. I was just staring at her asleep. I know it sound weird but it looked cute the way she slept. But then I catch myself yawning and my eyelids getting heavy by the second. I fall asleep and then I’m woken up
“Sikanto. We’re here.” Fluttershy had told me while poking my side. I get out of the car and I look up at a 2 story house that was a nice shade of sky blue, my favorite color. The front yard had a nice garden that led to the back.
“Wow. This is cool.” I said in awe.
“Yes, this is your new home now Sikanto.” I was amazed by how beautiful the scenery was, and then I told myself in a mental note “You’re home now.”
“Sikanto are you coming?” I look to see Fluttershy waiting for me at the doorstep.
“Oh coming.” I then head towards Fluttershy and my new home.

Chapter one is already in Progress so if you just can’t wait then it will take a quick day or two (IRL stuff like homework and school) Will of course keep me back but I’ll try my best to finish the chapters as quick as possible. Same Stuff, Different Day
Authors Note: Hey there, Chapters are going to be slow due to IRL things like school, etc.
Chapter One: Same Stuff Different Day - Thirteen years later
In the middle of my little memory train of a dream I began to hear an annoying buzzing noise but ignored it. The noise continues which forces me to wake up. I open my eyes and I clean the sleep out of them so I can clearly see what’s making that noise. I look and I notice that it was my alarm clock making the buzzing noise so I turn it off.
“Same stuff different day” I tell myself reminding me that school life is nothing but a wash, rinse, repeat cycle.
I got up and shambled towards the bathroom but Fluttershy was in it already with the sink on so it told me that she had already taken a shower. “Hey!” I had yelled “Hurry up!” the sink had turned off all of a sudden.
“I’m not done yet…If…umm…that’s okay with you.” She had quickly replied
I sigh, “Oh, ok sorry.” I turn around walk back to my room to pick out what I should wear.
Looking through my closet I notice a pair of jeans I haven’t worn yet “Huh? Why didn’t I wear these yet?” I take those and a blue and black striped hoodie.
I’m putting on my pants when my phone tells me I have a new message from someone. I pick it up to see that there was no message “Frickin phone service” I get up and I walk towards the bathroom door hoping Fluttershy is still not in there.
What’s taking so long?
I knock on the door and it slightly opens which makes me wonder how in the heck did she do that?
She’s like a ninja or something
I did what I needed to do, went back into my room to get my hoodie and I ran downstairs to eat breakfast when I notice that Fluttershy had beat me there already eating cereal. She then notices me as I open the fridge for the milk. I grab the milk, some frosted flakes, and a bowl. I sit down and I start eating when Fluttershy tells me “Morning.”
“Hey.” I reply in a somber mood not really wanting to talk. “What’s the matter? You barely act like this.” Fluttershy had said causing me to stop chewing and swallow. “It’s just that it’s the same thing we go through over and over. Wake, Learn, Work, repeat. We haven’t really did something fun in three years!” Fluttershy begins to look a bit frightened. “Look I’m sorry, it’s just…” I sigh. “I really wish we could do something enjoyable for once in forever.”
After two minutes of silence I put my bowl in the sink and then I head upstairs to put up completed homework into my book bag and my phone in my pocket. I’m heading downstairs where Fluttershy would wait for me but she wasn’t there like usual.
Where did she go?
“Fluttershy?” I call out for her. “I-I’m over here.” I look up to see her peak out of her room. “Oh, no rush.”My phone suddenly vibrates in my pocket so I pull it out to check it and there was yet again an empty text from someone with no name. It just gets me puzzled every time and sort of freaked out a bit like someone is stalking me. Who is this no-name and why is he/she or it sending me these empty texts? Unless it’s some jerk from high school found my number through something.
What a loser, stalking someone
I put my phone back in my pocket as I noticed Fluttershy coming downstairs slowly “What’s the problem” I asked. “Oh, it’s…umm…nothing really.” It seemed legit to me but I knew that she was trying to hide something. But what would she hide from me? Probably nothing and I should stop worrying. “Ready?” I ask her. “Yeah I guess.” She had shyly replied. Fluttershy technically lived up to the *Shy* part in her name. As we elevated in grades she would never talk to anyone or even raise her hand in class. Although it seemed as a benefit since she always gets straight A’s I’m the only she would really talk to.
It seems like it’s not my problem but I think I should help her make new friends.
I put my little…more like important goal in the back of my head as we walk out the front door. Outside it seemed kind of chilly and there was thick fog surrounding everything giving us only a four foot view of what is in front of us. “Man, I can’t even see my hands!” I said jokingly but Fluttershy didn’t get it saying “I can see mine so why can’t you see yours?” Her reply supported why I should help her make friends or maybe even get her a boyfriend. But I should stay out of her business about that.
“Hey Fluttershy?” I look at her. “Yes Sikanto?” I try to think how I can start a conversation with her about making new friends. “When we get to school you want to try and make friends?” “No, why?” “Come on Fluttershy, You need friends now and I don’t want you to be lonely.” I get worried for her reply. “Why are you talking to me about this Sikanto? I…umm…Really don’t like talking about this.” Her reply makes me start to feel a bit down on myself.
She’s right, who am I to judge her quickly like that. Arrgh damn it! I just made her feel sorry for herself. She can just be herself, but still I hate to see her alone. I’m confused and angry with myself. I just need to snap out of it.
“Oh, we’re here.” We had arrived at the school but something was wrong here. The entire front entrance is completely empty and nobody was around.“W-Where is everybody Sikanto? I-I’m getting scared.” Fluttershy begins to hide behind me and latches her arm around my waist. “I’m sort of spooked as well but I bet we can find at least someone or something.” I slowly crept up the steps with Fluttershy behind me, in full alert my mind begins to be filled with questions.
Where is everybody? Why is the school empty? Was there a sudden day off or was there a change of plans?
But a word floated around singing a song of hatred and despair. A word I have not felt since thirteen years ago. That word was none other than……Emptiness.
