Chapter 1: Max arrives in Equestria

It was a wonderful day, the temperature was nice, a breeze was flowing and everyone seemed to be downright happy to be alive. To make things even better it was Max's birthday.

Max had just turned 7 today, he was being doted on by his parents who had been planning this birthday party for young Max for an entire month. A lot of people thought Max was an adorable child with light blue eyes, brown hair , and slim physique, but his parents tended to go overboard just a little for they truly thought their child was the purest bundle of joy.

Throughout the party many of his family and friends were singing a happy birthday song to Max, and as they were finishing the song the fabled birthday cake was being revealed for young Max with six normal candles and one big candle as the number 7 in the center of them all.

As they finished singing Max's mother looked at him and said "well go one Max make a wish."

Max thought hard about what he wanted. He realized he had a loving family some good friends, but what was missing from his life was an adventure. He closed his eyes and prepared to make his wish he thought to himself.

"I wish I could go on an amazing adventure."

As Max blew out his candles he opened his eyes a voice echoed throughout his head. "Careful what you wish for youngling."

slowly after that Max fell into a deep slumber. As Max slept his dreams became quite vivid of odd landscapes of things he had never seen, creatures that looked fantastical, and of things that could only be described as magical. however dreams usually only ever show the good parts of anything.

Max awoke slowly feeling groggy and unsure of what was going on. His whole body felt as if it was wrung dry and he could but barely move a muscle. As he took in his surroundings he appeared to be in an alleyway as he realized he was no longer in his own home Max started to freak out.

"Where am I!?" Max near screamed as he could not muster much of his voice.

The alley looked torn and destroyed and looked nowhere near any place he had been feeling almost like he stepped into the bazaar of one his favorite movies Aladdin.

as he went to get up near stumbling over as he did he started to walk forward to only step on the tail of a cat, as he heard the cat cry in pain he fell backwards as the cat pulled forward, however he wasn't prepared for what happened next.

"OW hey watch were your going kid" the cat standing on two legs said. "Can't even sleep around here without someone coming by stepping on my tail"

The cat looked slightly older than max as he heard this max almost forgot about his current situation saying the only thing he could think of.

"A talking cat!" as he said this the cat turned around and told him what for

"I am not a cat! I am an Abyssinian, and what are you some weird hairless ape."

Max was bewildered by this creature that looked to be a mix between a cat and a person, and responded to him.

"I'm not an ape, I'm a person. you know human?"

The cat looked at Max with an odd look

"What's a human?" the cat asked

"what do you mean what's a human?" max responded

The cat looked over max before answering. "I mean I've seen a lot of creatures around here but not once have I seen or heard of anything like you. Were in Eques did you come from?"

At his reply Max remembered his current situation. "wait what is Eques?" max asked confused

"what do you mean what's Eques. this whole world is Eques. How could you not know something like that?" the cat said bewildered by the question

Max sat there for a second pondering what the cat was saying. As he thought to himself he decided to ask the cat a question." but isn't the world called Earth?"

the cat chucked a bit "earth you mean like dirt or an earth pony?"

Max was stunned by what this cat was saying he had never heard of Eques before and apparently he was not even on Earth anymore. With this knowledge Max just started to realize how bad his situation actually was as he pondered what to do the cat spoke again.

"Well kid its been odd but I've got things to do and places to be." The cat began walking away before Max stopped him

"Wait you can't just leave me here! I don't know where I am or if I can even get home!"

The cat responded "Sorry kid that's not really my problem I've got my own issues to deal with."

Max began to break down crying "I'll never see my friends, my family what am I gonna do."

Max's words caused the cat to flinch he knows what its like to not have any family and unlike this kid he was abandoned and he knew how hard it was to survive out here on your own in this place. rubbing the back of his head he sighed.

"look kid if you promise to stop crying ill help you out show you around and what to do to survive, but you have to listen to everything I say and avoid the places I tell you not to go deal?"

Max looked at the cat and thought for a second. He really had no options so for the sake of survival he answered through teary eyes. "ok"

"Perfect so now that is done with My name is Capper what is yours?"

Max looked at him drying his tears a bit. "My name is Max."

Author's Note

Capper is around 10 years old at this point of the story, I always viewed him as slightly older than the main 6 so this story is set around 988 years after the defeat of nightmare moon and will get to later in the story as max gets older since I viewed the main 6 around 20 in MLP. Going with Eques as the name of the planet and Equestria as the name of the country
