Sunset Shimmer Discovers She's a Pop Star

"A long lost twin sister?" Sugar Belle asked with amazement. The two Sunsets met in the park, to put their practiced lie into motion.

"Yep," Human Sunset lied.

"It turned out I was lost during birth," Pony Sunset said with a fake smile, "but also given the name 'Sunset Shimmer'."

"Wow!" Sugar Belle uttered. "How does it feel to have a twin sister?"

"Great," Human Sunset said, "it is great to know I have an organ donor in case I need one."

"She's certainly is a loving big sister, isn't she?" Pony Sunset said facetiously.

"I can't believe it!" Human Sunset said, looking happily at her horn. "I get to live my childhood dream of being a magical pony!" Human Sunset decided to spend a week learning about how to do spells. Pony Sunset sat nearby, doing some human homework.

"Anyways," Princess Twilight said, "let us practice some magic!"

"OK," Princess Twilight said, "let's start with something simple." She gestured to a cup and a teapot. "Try pouring a cup of tea.

"Oh this is gonna be easy." Human Sunset concentrated her horn. Eventually a red aura came out, and she was able to use it to pick up the teapot.

"That's right," Princess Twilight, "you're getting it, you're getting it-,"

"AHHHHH!" Human Sunset looked sheepishly, as she realized she accidentally poured the hot boiling liquid on Sunset and her homework.

"Well," Human Sunset said nervously, "I got the pouring part right."

Pony Sunset glared at her and her ruined work. "Well come over here and I'll give you SOME LUMPS!" Pony Sunset chased after human Sunset, blasting her with her magic, while Princess Twilight watched all this with an utterly done expression.

"So how was your visit with your twin?" Rainbow asked as Sunset came back into the music room to practice with them.

"Great!" Sunset said happily. "It turns out, she's excited to be learning about magic in Equestria."

"Just don't let her near any magic crowns, whatever you do?" Applejack snarked.

"I'm glad we won't have to deal with this problem anymore," Sunset said with some relief. Human Twilight burst into a room a few seconds later, a worried expression on her face.

"Guys," she said in a panicked tone, "we have a problem."

The Rainbooms ran out of the library and onto the front lawn, where they saw someone standing in front of the horse statue with some weird magical laser beam.

"With the energies from this location," Starlight Glimmer gushed with a manic look, "I shall gain the power I deserve, and cast down all the fools who dared mock me!" She let out a megalomaniacal cackle.

Everyone let out sighs of frustration, while Sunset's face fell into her hands.

"Again," Fluttershy muttered miserably.

"Well, at least our lives aren't boring." Rainbow said with a nervous chuckle.
