8:00am

The sun has risen in Equestria, the birds are chirping and the animals are seen roaming happily in the Everfree forest because of another beautiful day.

In the Changeling Kingdom, Alistair was seen still sleeping soundly in his bed while snoring smoothly. His alarm clock ran out of batteries so it didn't wake him up.

His room door was then pulled open and Twilight was seen standing at the doorway while looking at her son with a warm smile. Her husband was in the dinning room preparing breakfast for everypony so she had to wake him up.

She walked up to the bed gently so that she wouldn't wake him up. Once she got to him, she looked down at her son with a warm smile because he is always very adorable when he sleeps, but what perplexed her was that he was not waking up. She then looked at the alarm clock on her left and noticed that it wasn't beeping. She must assume that it is out of batteries.

"Great." Twilight said with a roll of her eyes "I guess I'll have to buy some more batteries with my little baby then." She told herself.

Then, Twilight decided to wake her son up. She knelt down, leaned her muzzle close to him and planted a light kiss on his cheek.

"Oh Alistair, it's time to wake up." Twilight said softly.

Alistair then moaned and opened his eyes slowly. At first his visions were blurry but when they worked, Alistair saw his mother looking at him with a smile.

"Mommy? What time is it?"

"It is eight in the morning now Alistair." Twilight told him.

"It is eight already?" Alistair said in a surprised tone, and Twilight replied with a nod. Then, Alistair slowly sat up straight and let out a cute yawn "I have to prepare for the meeting today." He said.

"Indeed." Twilight said with a nod "Now come on, let's go to the dinning room." She finished, then she lifted her son up from the bed with her magic and placed him on the floor. After that, Alistair walked into his bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face before he eats breakfast.

Five minutes later, Alistair walked out of his bathroom. And when Twilight saw him, she and her son both exited the room and walked to the dinning room where they will have breakfast.

While walking, Alistair had some things in his head right now and he is feeling a little bit depressed and left out, although he does have his parents and aunts with him but, Spectre is not, he is still being held in the dungeons.

"Hey mommy." Alistair called.

"Yes baby?" Twilight asked as she looked down at her son.

"I have a tiny favor."

"What is it?" Twilight asked "You want deserts after breakfast? You want more books about chemistry?" She assumed.

"Uh no." Alistair said with a shake of his head.

"Oh, then what is it?" Twilight asked with a perplexed expression.

"I uh want to invite Spectre for breakfast." He replied anxiously.

"What do you mean baby?" Twilight asked with an incredulous expression "Didn't you remember what it did to your aunts Applejack and Cadence?" She reminded him with a stern expression.

"I know and it was very bad but, he does seem nice, plus we might even be able to know more about him." Alistair replied "Please mommy?" Alistair pleaded with cute eyes.

Twilight began to ponder about this hypothetical situation for a bit. She is still very angry at the creature for injuring her friend and sister in law. But, he did say that he was the one who rescued Ponyville from those monsters during the interrogation. Although he does seem to be a very detrimental creature but, he and her son do look like close friends. After thinking for fifteen seconds, Twilight let out a defeated sigh and looked down at her son.

"Alright, we can call him over for breakfast."

"Yay!" Alistair exclaimed in a contented tone "Thank you mommy." He said as he embraced her mother in a loving hug.

"Your welcome baby." Twilight said as she hugged her son back.

After ten seconds, they both released each other an felt out a chuckle. Then, Twilight stood up and saw a female changeling guard in front of her conveniently patrolling the hallway.

"Hey guard!" Twilight called.

When the guard heard the voice of her Queen, she looked up and saw Queen Twilight and Prince Alistair standing in front of her.

"Queen Twilight, Prince Alistair." The guard said with salute.

"Salutations guard." Twilight greeted with a smile "Me and my son have a favor we would like to ask you." She told her.

"And that is?"

"Would you mind grabbing Spectre from the dungeons and bring him to the dinning room please?" Alistair asked in a polite tone.

The changeling froze in hesitation when she heard the request, she heard how the creature fought both Applejack's and Princess Cadence in a belligerant way. But, she stuffed her agitation aside and kept her bravery because, she is one of the leader of the guards.

"Sure, I'll get him right away now." The guard said confidently.

"Thank you so much." Alistair said with a smile.

"You're welcome Prince Alistair." The guard said with a warm smile. After that, the guard ran to the dungeons.

Spectre was sitting in his cell in the dungeons of the Changeling Kingdom with his arms crossed in vexation because he is getting tired of being held in this cell like a caged animal. He also have cuffs on his hands.

"Grr, this is getting aggravating." Spectre complained with an angry expression behind his mask.

And on cue, his cell door was being pulled open. Spectre looked in front of him and saw a female bug in armour standing in front of him.

"What do you want?"

The voice of the creature has sent some chills down the changeling's spine. But, she remained composed and looked at the creature.

"Queen Twilight and Prince Alistair would like to have your presence in the dinning room for breakfast." The guard told him.

Spectre was a bit surprised when he heard that, he didn't know that the creatures would gleefully want to invite him over for breakfast after what he has done. But then again, Alistair does think that he is his friend, so he shrugged it off.

Then, the guard walked up to the creature and grabbed the chain of his cuffs. After that, she began to pull him to the dinning room.

In the dinning room, the mane six were seen sitting together on the left side of the two long tables, Princess Celestia, Luna and Cadence were seen seated at the right side of the two large tables. And King Thorax and Queen Twilight were seen sitting at the end of the table near a large window with their son near them next to Rarity.

"Ah darling, today is your meeting with your subjects, how do you feel?" Rarity asked.

"I feel very exuberant aunt Rarity." Alistair replied with a smile "I have a lot of things to talk about." He added in a contented tone.

"Then I'll be eager to-"

Rarity wasn't able to finish her sentence when she felt something under her hooves. She looked down and saw a 3 feet grey lizard. And the sight made her petrified.

"AHHHHHHH!"

Everypony in the dinning room were startled by the scream.

"What's wrong Rarity?" Pinkie asked with a perplexed expression.

"A reptile is underneath me!" Rarity exclaimed in a perturbed tone.

Pinkie then pulled the tablecloth up and saw Alistair's pet tegu.

"Oh, it's not going to hurt you."

"But I'm still scared!"

"Come here Vector." Alistair said.

When Vector heard his friend Alistair calling him, he crawled towards him. Once he got close, he levitated him up in the air a few feet and held him in his hooves.

"How are ya doing buddy?" Alistair asked, and Vector stuck his tongue out "One of the servants will bring you some lizard food soon buddy." He told him.

Everypony were about to talk to each other for a bit but then, the sounds of the doors opening stopped them.

Everypony averted their eyes to the doors and saw Spectre dragged into the dinning room with a female guard in front of him. The female guard stuck the key of his cuffs into the keyhole and uncuffed him. And that gave Alistair a smile.

"Thank you guard." Alistair said with a smile "You are now dismissed." He added.

"Thank you Prince Alistair." The guard said with a bow. After that, the changeling turned around and exited the dinning room and resumed her patrol.

"Please take a seat Spectre." Alistair said pointing at the empty seat in front of Spectre.

"Sure." Spectre said as he walked up to the seat. Once he got to it, he pulled it back and sat on it, and when he did, he received some glares from Applejack and Cadence who still despised him for attacking them.

"Can't you two forget the past?" Spectre asked incredulously.

"That was yesterday you violent creature!" Applejack and Cadence exclaimed in unison.

"How stubborn." Spectre said to himself quietly with a roll of his eyes behind his mask.

"Hello mister Spectre."

Spectre averted his eyes to the source of the female voice, and when he did, he saw the white alicorn he saw yesterday during the interrogation.

"I believe that I haven't formerly introduced myself to you." She said in a polite tone "My name is Celestia, and I am the ruler of this land along with my sister here." Celestia introduced herself.

"Greetings." Luna said with a wave.

Spectre returned the gesture with a nod, then he heard some other voices calling him. He looked to his left and saw the six colourful ponies.

"My name is Fluttershy the element of kindness."

"My name is Rainbow Dash the element of loyalty and the fastest flyer in Equestria!"

"Ma name is Applejack sir, and I am the element of honesty."

"My name is Rarity the element of generosity."

"My name is Pinkie Pie the element of happiness, my favourite hobby is throwing parties!"

"And my name is Twilight Sparkle, the element of magic, the Princess of Friendship and the leader of the elements of harmony."

Spectre thought that all of their statements and introductions were very weird preposterous. What kind of names are those? And what is this elements of harmony?

"What kind of nickname is that?" Spectre thought with an incredulous expression "Looks like something out of a cartoon show, and that nickname would be a joke and very implausible to be a military unit nickname." He added.

He was going to ask them questions of his, but then some noises behind him stopped him. Spectre looked behind him and saw twelve changelings in suits with serving trays levitated in front of them with their magic.

The changeling's then walked to each of the ponies and changelings and placed the tray in front of them as well as one for Spectre.

Once the dishes are placed on the table, everypony lifted their trays up and saw pancakes with syrup on them.

"Wow! How scrumptious." Pinkie said ad she began to drool.

Then everypony in the room started to eat their pancakes delightfully.

"Here you go Vector." Alistair said as he pulled the small tray open and revealed some lizard food on a small plate. And Vector started to munch on it.

"Huh, looks like Alistair has a pet who is also named Vector." Spectre said to himself with a quiet chuckle.

He then pulled open his tray and saw that he has pancakes on his tray as well. He was going to eat but then, some footstep noises stopped him again.

Spectre turned around and saw a changeling guard walking past the dinning room. And he noticed that he has his guns, combat knife and grenades levitated up on in front of him as well.

When the changeling guard noticed the creature starring at him, he whimpered and ran to where he will put the creature's metal thing.

"Something wrong Spectre?" Thorax asked in a polite tone.

Spectre replied by turning around and glaring at the King through his goggle mask. And that made Thorax feel a little uncertain.

"I better not see anyone using my stuffs." Spectre growled in anger.

"Okay." Thorax said in an anxious tone "But we still have to stash your stuffs away so that you can't use them." He told him, and the statement made Spectre groan in vexation.

Seven minutes later, everypony in the room all finished their meals except for Spectre of course because, he still doesn't trust them.

"Are you going to finish that Spectre?" Alistair asked.

"No, I'm not hungry."

"Okay." Alistair said with a shrug "So much for an auspicious breakfast." He thought with a roll of his eyes because, he knows why Spectre was not in the mood in finishing his meal.

Thorax then looked up at the clock and noticed that is was 9:00am. It was almost the time for Alistair's meeting.

"Oh, it's almost time." Thorax said, then he looked down at his son "Alistair, it's time to get prepared in Canterlot." He told him.

"Huh? Okay."

"I have prepped a carriage just outside of the hive King Thorax." Celestia informed him.

"Thank you Princess Celestia." Thorax said, and Celestia nodded.

Then, everypony all got off their seats and walked to the doors of the dinning room including Vector. When Alistair got to Spectre, he said "I'll be back soon Spectre, I have told my guards to let you roam around the hive to explore."

"Okay."

"Great! I hope you find this place pleasant." Alistair said with a smile.

After that, everypony including Vector all exited the dinning room leaving Spectre all alone.

"All by myself again." Spectre said with a smirk because, he always wanted to have some alone time after all of those battles he had in Raccoon City "I guess I'll have to entertain myself by exploring this place just like what Alistair permitted me to do." He told himself with a shrug.

After that, Spectre stood up from his seat and walked to the doors of the dinning room. Once he got to them, he exited the dinning room and commenced his exploration of the Changeling Hive while the changeling servants cleaned the table.
