Thirty One Nights Of Nightmare Night!
Cute
Previous ChapterNext ChapterPumpkin Cake awoke to the sun shining in through the window. Looking about she realised that she was in her bed, curled up with her stuffed bear next to her. She didn’t remember leaving the sofa last night, only lying beside her father. She must have dozed off and he put her to bed. Slowly she sat up and rubbed her eyes on the sleeve of her yellow onesie pajamas with pink hearts on it. She didn’t remember getting her PJ’s on either that night. Her mane was a mess too but she’d sort that later. Right now she felt off. Listening, she realised that there wasn’t a sound in the house. Her brother was usually so much more active in the mornings and rowdy, or Pinkie was banging a pot like a wake up ceremony. Yet this morning, there was none of that. The unicorn filly grabbed hold of her stuffed bear out of paranoia for protection and then slowly made her way out of the bedroom. She was still very tired but being alone in the house seemed so weird. Keeping her bear close, Pumpkin checked her parents bedroom. Empty. The bed was already made. What time was it? Had she overslept?
Heading down the stairs, she saw no customers in the shop, so it wasn’t opening time yet. The smell of baked goods was everprecent in the bakery and because she was so used to it, she didn't immediately clue in that her family must be in the kitchen. Checking the kitchen she saw her mom taking fresh cinnamon buns out the oven and her father drinking tea at the table.
“Oh, good morning, sleepy head!” Mrs. Cake said, addressing her daughter. “There’s still some stuff on the table for toast if you’d like some?”
Pumpkin nodded her head and then went over to the table and instead of heading for the empty seat, she climbed up into her father’s lap. He scooted back a bit, and allowed her up.
“Goodness,” He said with a chuckle. “Somepony’s affectionate this morning.” He said with a laugh, not realising that she woke up feeling so alone.
Pumpkin held her teddy close and she rested her head against his chest, smiling and closing her eyes. She felt so safe and warm right there in her father’s embrace as he held both hooves around her, leaving his newspaper on the table. He then kissed the top of her head.
“You not get enough sleep last night, Sweetie Pumpkin?” He asked his daughter. She felt like she did, but yet she just wanted to sleep again in her daddy’s hooves.
“Where’s Pound?” She asked aloud.
“I’d like to know myself.” Said Mrs. Cake. “He went out with Pinkie Pie this morning to go get some more sprinkles for the desserts. I should have taken them ten minutes, tops, but they still haven’t returned. Oh, I hope there’s not a problem at the shops. We’re opening soon.”
“Don’t worry dear. It’s not like anypony buys sweets at nine in the morning.” Mr Cake said, still holding his daughter close.
“I’mma go have a quick look for them.” Mrs. Cake tossed off her oven mitts and headed to the door. “I’ll be five minutes. Keep an eye on her toast, Dearie.”
“Will do, Honeybun.” He responded as the mare headed outside.
Pumpkin heard the familiar clang of the bell over the door as it shut and then looked up at her father.
“Daddy. I’m sorry we didn’t get to play last night.”
“What?” he said looking confused for only a moment. “Oh, no no Pumpkin, you were sleepy and you know we don’t always have to play our games. Sometimes, it’s just as nice to hold you like this.”
They both smiled, and Pumpkin held her bear close to cover her face.
“I love you, Pumpkin.”
“Love you more, daddy!” She said happily.
POP
The toast was done, Mr Cake went to stand up, but his daughter held him.
“No, wait! I got it!” She said to him. She used her magic to levitate the toast out of the toaster and then brought it over to the table, dropping in on to her dad’s empty plate.
“My, my, you’ve gotten really good at controlling your magic.” Her father said, complimenting his daughter.
She giggled happily at his praise. She levitated a knife and then messily stabbed it into the butter, taking a far too big of a chunk before crushing it into her toast.
“Ah, h-here.” he said, taking the knife from her magic. “I don’t think you’re quite ready for sharp things yet. Don’t rush yourself! You’re already miles ahead of most ponies your age”
He then started spreading the butter and then jam onto her toast. She tucked herself more into her father's lap and then took a bite of her breakfast as he poured her some orange juice. She was so adorable that he couldn’t believe that such a cute filly was his own daughter. She was beautiful, adorable and her soft PJ’s were rubbing him in just the right way. She always loved to tease him like this. He looked around and saw his wife was still out. He then whispered into her ear.
“Hey, fancy a quick game before your mom comes back? Pumpkin giggled, but said nothing. “I mean, after last night I got all excited and... I’d like to continue where we left off.”
He then reached up to the top of her onesie, and slowly started to unzip it. Pumpkin gave no protest and even leaned back into his chest. She continued to chew her toast, but the smile of her adorable face showed her excitement. He unzipped it all the way to her belly and then reached a hoof inside, snaking his way down to her cunny. She shivered in anticipation.
Just then the shop door clanged from the bell as the door opened. The voices of Pinkie, Pound and Mrs. Cake speaking energetically were heard as Mr Cake snattched his hoof from his daughter’s onesie and fumbled with the zip. It was stuck! Pumpkin realising the dilemma grabbed her teddy and held it close to her chest, hiding her exposed body as the three other ponies came into the room.
“-And it’s going to be great, I promise!” Pinkie’s voice rang out. “Hey, Mr. Cake! Hey, Pumpkin!”
“P-Pinkie! How are- how was it at the shop?” He said, clearly stumbling in panic, trying to remain calm.
“Hmm? Oh, yes! Shop! We got them.” Pinkie said, pulling the sprinkle jar out her mane.
“Honey, are you alright? Your face is all red.” Mrs. Cake asked, concerned.
“Oh, it is? I must have drank my tea too fast. I do feel a little warm this morning.” He said, trying to play it off with a laugh. Pumpkin was drinking heavily from her Orange Juice, not looking at anypony, just trying to keep herself covered up. Pound Cake then ran up to his twin sister.
“Hey Pumpkin, guess what! Pinkie’s got a surprise for us!”
“Yep-perrooni!” Pinkie bounced excitedly. “Pumpkin, you know that old Clubhouse on Sweet Apple Acres?” Pumpkin nodded. “Well, they are fixing it up and… guess who they are giving it to!”
The filly didn’t know, but her mind was elsewhere currently, internally panicking.
“They are giving it to us!!” Pound blurted out, not even giving Pinkie time to do the big reveal. Pumpkin was shocked.
“We’re getting our own clubhouse?!” She said surprised. She almost dropped her teddy bear, but Mr Cake grabbed it in the nick of time and then held it against her chest.
“Yeah!” Pound shouted back. “Isn’t that awesome?”
“Can we go today? Can we, can we?” Pumpkin said excitedly.
“Well, if-” Mr. Cake started to say before Pinkie interjected.
“Oh, you can’t go yet, silly. It needs to be remodeled first. It’s going to take maybe a week. Can you wait that long?”
Both foals nodded in unison.
“Well, that’s great to hear Pinkie, but are the Apple family okay with this? Having foals playing in a clubhouse in the orchard?” Mrs Cake asked.
Pound and Pinkie turned to look at Mrs. cake, which gave Mr. Cake a good distraction. Slowly he slid a hoof behind the bear, feeling for the zip. It was definitely caught on her pajama’s fabric, but by unzipping and rezipping it slowly, he was able to get it fully done up all the way.
“Don’t worry. The Apple family have already agreed and have even said, if the foals need anything, they will be there to help.”
“Yeah, and remember what the Crusaders used to get up too.” Pound Cake said “It’s not like me and Pumpkin can do much worse, right?”
“That’s not a compelling argument, young colt.”
“We’ll be good mom! We promise!” The beige pegasus smiled up at his mom as she then gave in.
“Oh I suppose ponies need their space. Alright then. BUT, you still need to do all your chores around the home and keep your room tidy. If you can’t do that, you can’t have a clubhouse. Agreed?”
“Thanks Mom!” Pound said, jumping in to his mum for a hug. Pumpkin jumped down from her father’s lap, leaving her dad holding the bear as she also hugged her mom. Mr Cake smiled and then placed the bear on the table.
“Well, I think it’s time we get this shop opened,” Mr. Cake said, standing up and walking over to the sink with the plate and empty glass. Pinkie stood at a salute.
“Yes sir!” She then made her way to the front door, setting the sign to open.
“Alright. Pumpkin,” Mrs. Cake said. “Go upstairs, get out of those pajamas and make yourself presentable, then we’ll all get to work.”
The filly nodded and then ran upstairs, glancing back at her father as he started washing up. She then thought to herself about the clubhouse. Perhaps her and her dad could finally get some real alone time together.
