Five years have passed since Twilight Sparkle's Coronation in Canterlot to become ruler of Equestria and since then, the land has known only peace. Ponies are moving on, growning up and growing closer together, with some growing, perhaps, closer than is appropriate.

Now, in the month of October, every pony is getting ready for Nightmare Night with decorations and their own "Tricks and Treats". However, while all of this is going on, a mysterious stranger has arrived in Ponyville. Who are they? And what plans do they have for this Nightmare Night?
