Author's Note

Sweetie Belle isn't much of a main character in this, so I didn't add her. She just plays a small part, but she may have a bigger role later. Who knows?

I went to add Randolph, Diamond Tiara's butler, to the character list, but I was surprised I didn't see him listed. Sure, he's a small character in the show, but hay, it even lists background ponies. So, that's why Randolph isn't listed as one of the characters, though he is considered a main supporting character, the same as Diamond Tiara and Filthy Rich.
Update: I figured it out! Other is Randolph!

Chapter 7: The Plan Unfolds

The doorbell rang.

Randolph went to get it. "Hello, Sweetie Belle," he said.

"Hi, Mr. Randolph. Is Diamond Tiara home?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Yes, she is," the butler replied, "Do you need anything before you go play with her?"

"Oh, I'm here to help Ruby Rust with something," Sweetie Belle said, "But no thank you. I'm fine."

"Um, OK," said Randolph, "She's up in her room."

So, Sweetie Belle cantered up the stairs and knocked on the door of Ruby Rust's bedroom.

"Oh, hello, Sweetie Belle," Ruby Rust said sweetly, using what she learned from Cozy Glow, "Come in. I need your help with something."

Sweetie Belle looked around the room. "What is it? I don't see anything."

"Au contraire. But look at the bed," Ruby Rust said.

"Is this another one of your innuendos?" Sweetie Belle asked, "Because I'm not falling for it."

Ruby Rust faked a nervous laugh. "Innuendos? Whatever do you mean, Sweetie Belle? It's only a lifesize drawing of me that needs your magic to come to life."

"Oh, um, OK," Sweetie Belle said, "I guess I can do that for you."

So Sweetie Belle used her magic to bring the drawing to life, making it act and look exactly like Ruby Rust herself. "How do you like them apples?" she said.

"Amazing!" Ruby Rust said, "Now if my dad says anything, make sure he sees that I'm upstairs. Thank you for everything, Sweetie Belle."

On those last few words, the chill went right through Sweetie Belle. What was she doing there? She wanted to know what was going on. Some part of her felt used by a mastermind villainess. She just wanted to keep her distance now, but what else could she do?

Sweetie Belle quickly ran downstairs a few minutes after she was sure that Ruby Rust had left, having a hunch that she was hunting down Cozy Glow, who was still working on her reformation, and get her involved in this messed up plan of hers. Sweetie Belle knew what she had to do. Warn Diamond Tiara.

"Diamond Tiara!" Sweetie Belle cried.

"What is it, Sweetie Belle?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"I think your sister has a plan and I have a feeling that it's not gonna go well!" Sweetie Belle said.

"Eh, her and her plans. She never stops," Diamond Tiara said, "What is she going on about now? Killing me? Like she'll ever do something like that."

"Wait, is that true?" Sweetie Belle inquired.

"I'm pretty sure," Diamond Tiara said, "When she yells, the whole mansion can hear her. And that means that also the whole frickin' neighbourhood can too."

"Then we've gotta stop her!" Sweetie Belle said.

"She thinks she's so much older and wiser than us," Diamond Tiara said, "I mean, that's partly true. But she certainly isn't wiser. She will get what's coming to her eventually, though I'm not sure when Equestria will take its toll on her."

"More reason to step up and stop her!" Sweetie Belle persisted.

"I-- I can't, Sweetie Belle," Diamond Tiara said, "I'm really sorry. But if I stand up to her, she's just gonna beat me down. I know her better than you do. Thank you, Sweetie Belle, but just let time pass. It's for our own good. Let the adults take care of it like they always do."

"Well, I'm certainly not throwing in the frickin' towel!" Sweetie Belle said, "I'm gonna go get the CMCs and we'll sort this out from there!"

"No, Sweetie Belle! You don't know who you're dealing with!" Diamond Tiara cried, "I don't wanna lose one of my friends!"

"You won't. I'll catch you later," Sweetie Belle said.

Diamond Tiara sighed. "Well, that was a bust," she said.

It was now 3:15 P.M. and the Ponyville Spectre didn't open until 10:00 P.M. But she was determined to get in, where there were stallions galore. But right after she stopped by Cozy Glow's place.

"Oh, hi, Ruby Rust," Cozy Glow said, "I got your text earlier. What's the plan?"

"Oh, not quite yet," Ruby Rust said, "I've decided to take a little detour because I'm craving something wet and wild."

"Ruby Rust, have you ever had a boyfriend before?" Cozy Glow asked.

"Oh, me? I'm only 14, but yeah," Ruby Rust replied, "I had a bunch of relationships, where the love came and then the sex pulled me in, but I could never keep 'em. This is my chance."

Off they went to the Ponyville Spectre to find stallions that suited Ruby Rust.
