"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, dear Twilight! Happy birthday to you~!"
"Wow! Thanks everypony! I've never gotten a real birthday party before!"
"We're just glad we could change that!" yelled Rainbow
"Ok, everypony! Time to party!"
It was Twilight's birthday. All of her friends, as well as Princess Celestia herself, has attended and were having a great time. After the cake and dancing, the birthday presents came rolling in. The first one was from Pinkie Pie (obviously). Twilight opened to have springs fly out of the box and nearly poked her eye.
"Pinkie!"
"Yes, Twilight?"
"Can there be one time where a present you give some pony doesn't involve metal springs that can poke my eye out?"
"Okey dokey lokey!"
Next was from Rarity. It was a beautiful new dress of her design. It was covered with glitter, stars, and constellations. Along with hoof shoes. Next was from Applejack. It was a fresh jug of her best apple cider. Then Fluttershy, who gave her a birdhouse. What was the use of that if Twilight doesn't even have a bird? Lastly, Rainbow Dash gave Twlight a present that was shaped like a flat rectangle. She ripped off the wrapping paper to see a novel from her favorite book series, Magical Night. It was a limited edition book and was signed by the author himself!
"How in Equestria did you get this!?"
"You will not know the trouble I had to go through to get that."
"Thanks, Dash."
"No problem. Well, maybe it was sort of a proble- OW!"
Applejack elbowed her just before she finished. A few hours later, it was time to go home.
"Thanks for the party, girls! And princess," said Twilight as Princess Celestia passed by.
Everypony left chatting away about how Rarity reacted when she saw Gummy in the punch bowl, all the neat stuff Pinkie put in the apple bobbin' bucket, and when Princess Celestia accidentally drank hot sauce instead of the tea she meant to drink. She was still tendering her tounge by the time party was over. But right as Celestia walked out the door, she remembered something and turned around.
"Ah, my student, I albost forgot."
Celestia casted some magic and a box appeared. She gave it to Twilight. It was a box of coffee maker parts. As soon as Twilight saw the parts, she began to mentally jump all over the place.
"Oh thank you, Princess! I always wanted a coffee maker!"
"I knew you would love it. Happy birthday, my pupil," said the Princess, who was still touching her tongue from time to time to make sure it was not missing.
She quietly closed the door behind her and flew back to Canterlot. In the meantime, Twilight was searching frantically for the instructions. Eventually, she just gave up, got the tools, and tried to imagine what a coffee maker would look like. She worked all night on it. But near midnight, she gave up on the coffee maker and just decided to mess around with the parts. The next day, she turned on her creation. She didnt expect it to work. But to her surprise, it did! It's eyes glowed as a sign that it was working. It got up and looked around, analyzing his surroundings. Then, it turned around and looked at Twilight.
"Hello, Twilight Sparkle. How may I help you?"
"Can you get the book on Ponyville history? I need to study it to help Princess Celestia's speech today."
"Command understood. Intiating movement protocols."
It started walking towards the bookshelves. The robot grabbed the "Pony Legacy: Ponyville History" textbook, and brought it back over.
"Command terminated. Entering neutral mode."
The robot pony stood there doing nothing. It wasn't moving, but it was still on. But then, Twilight realized something, if she could modify the robot's personality chip, it could be a great companion to her. Especially since Spike ran away a long time ago.
"Robot. Enter sleep mode."
"Affirmative. Entering sleep mode."
Twilight starting taking apart it's head and reached for the personality chip. As soon as she finished gathering all her tools, she started modifying the chip.
"First, we need him to be smart. Then, he needs to be kind. And now finally, he needs to have feelings."
As Twilight finished the rest, she planted a magic cylinder in the chip that was made from maginite, the only known material known to be able to contain magical energy. It was supposed to give the robot emotinal energy. So, the robot will act more tired and cranky as he stays powered up. It's similar to ponies and sleeping. Finally, she was finished. She planted the chip slowly back into place within the robot's head. It's eyes started to glow a bright-green color. As it turned on, it started looking around again. But this time, instead of a normal robot phrase, it spoke very clearly, as if it was a real pony. Aside from the slightly robot sounding pitch in the robot's voice.
"Huh? Where am I?"
"Hello, there."
The robot looked up and saw a purple pony that looked more beautiful then life itself.
"Who are you?"
"My name is Twilight Sparkle," said Twilight with the sweetest voice she could do.
"Did you create me?"
"Yes."
"Do I have a name?"
Twilight never gave any though to that.
"No. I'm sorry. I never thought of giving you one. Hey, how about Sparkler?"
"Sparkler? I like it."
Twilight smiled.
"I think we're going to get along quite nicely."
