Nyx, Mario, and Luigi kept running through the meadow. Mario stomped on a koopa that was sliding towards them

"Was that a turtle?" Asked Nyx

"It was a koopa, another one of Bowser's minions."

"Oh. Well, let's continue." Replied Nyx

Just a few meters ahead was a ? block on the ground. Luckily, there was another koopa next to it, this time it had a shell. Luigi jumped on the koopa, causing it to lose it's shell. Then Nyx eliminated it by jumping on it's exposed body.

Luigi grabbed the shell and threw it at the ? block, making it release a green-spotted egg. The egg hatched and the creature inside quickly grew into an adult in seconds.

"Woah. What is that?" Asked Nyx.

"Hey, thanks for releasing me. I'm Yoshi." Said Yoshi

"That's a interesting, but cool name. I'm Nyx." Replied Nyx, before noticing that her hooves were sore.

"Ugh, my hooves hurt." Nyx said

"You could ride on my back if you want, Nyx." Said Yoshi

"Thanks Yoshi." Replied Nyx, getting onto Yoshi's back.

"Okay." Said Yoshi, "I can swallow things with my tongue, like this." Yoshi extended his tongue and grabbed onto a fruit before bringing it back and swallowing it.

"Cool." Said Nyx, accidentally punching Yoshi in the back of his head, causing him to stick his tongue out again before yelling in pain.

"Ugh, don't do that. I hate it when people do that. It gives me a headache." Complained Yoshi

"Oh, sorry." Replied Nyx

"It's fine, just remember to simply tell me when you want me to stick my tongue out. Same goes for you two too." Yoshi said to Mario and Luigi with a stern look.

"Don't worry Yoshi. We won't do it." Replied Mario, Luigi nodding.

"Good." Said Yoshi, "Now, let's go."

The four of them continued their journey, soon coming to a pipe. They entered it and found more ? blocks in an underground area on the other side.

One of the question blocks contained three weird looking flowers. Mario took one, then Luigi took the second, and Nyx decided to take the third.

The three ate them and suddenly changed. Mario's and Luigi's clothes changed colors while Nyx's mane and tail turned into fire.

"Woah, cool." Said Nyx. "I wonder what this can do, maybe," Nyx ignited her horn and a few seconds later, a fireball came out of it.

"Awesome." She said, firing more fireballs, which took out enemies as she rode Yoshi through the underground area while collecting all of the coins there.

Mario and Luigi looked at each other and shrugged before following Nyx and Yoshi.

The four of them quickly exited the underground area through another pipe and continued onward, defeating more enemies and collecting several more coins.

They soon reached a weird block that kept flashing different objects inside. Mario ran up to it and struck it, then he, Luigi, and Yoshi(Nyx still riding him) stopped for a second before continuing to on the path.

"That was awesome." Said Rainbow dash, "Did you see how Nyx kept firing those fireballs?"

"And Yoshi." Said Fluttershy, "I really wish I could meet him."

Twilight was nervous about her daughter's safety, and everypony there knew it.

"You need to stop worrying so much. Nyx is perfectly fine." Said Applejack

"Yeah, I should. I guess that there are some things that just happen. Though I'd really like to study that weird flower."

Everypony there started laughing

"What?"

"It's just that we knew that you would say that, Twilight." Replied Rainbow dash

Twilight thought about this for a second before giggling. "I guess that it is pretty funny."

The friends continued laughing for several more minutes before calming down and continuing to watch the four heroes.
