In the chaos dimension, Discord was lounging in his house talking to himself. They were discussing what kind of pranks they should do next Prank Day.

Then a portal suddenly appeared in front of him, and mini-Discord poked his head out.

"Well, hello again mini-me." Said Discord, "Any news involving Nyx?"

"Nyx is just about to get to Dinosaur Island. Are you going to inform the ponies?"

"I suppose I should." Replied Discord, "Twilight is definitely going to want to see her. And the others too."

"Well, I better get back to Nyx. Farewell, giant-me." Said mini-Discord, going back through the portal.

"Hmm, I better head out to Twilight's castle now." Discord said to himself

"Yes, you should." Said a second Discord, before disappearing in a flash.

In Twilight's castle, Twilight and Spike were having a cook-off in her kitchen when they were suddenly teleported to the throne room, with the other 5, Discord, and CMC were already there.

"Discord? What are you doing?" Asked Twilight

"Why don't you look for yourself." He replied, pointing at a portal showing Nyx looking off the side of a hot air balloon.

"N-Nyx." said Twilight, walking closer to the portal.

"I suggest you back up from the portal Twilight. The others will want to see." Said Discord

"A-alright." Replied Twilight, backing up

"Don't worry so much Twilight. Nyx is safe and happy there."

"I guess."

"Hey, they're about to land." Said Rainbow dash.

The ponies, Spike, and Discord looked at the portal and saw Nyx looking at an approaching island

"What is that place." Asked Applejack.

"I think that it's called Dinosaur Island. Nyx told me that she would be having a vacation there." Replied Twilight

"D-d-d-dinosaurs?" Said Fluttershy

"Don't worry Fluttershy. I don't think that she would be going to an island for a vacation if it was full of giant pony-eating dinosaurs."

"It's amazing." Said Nyx

"It really is." Replied Mario, standing next to her. "Do you have dinosaurs in Equestria?"

"No, we don't."

"Interesting."

"We're just about to land." Said Peach

"Oh, I'm so excited to meet a real dinosaur." Said Nyx

The hot air balloon landed in the middle of a meadow, and they all got off.

"So, what should we do first?" Asked Nyx, walking with Mario and Luigi while Peach tied the hot air balloon. None of them noticed a large figure approaching Peach

"We should go looking for dinosaurs first, right Peach." Said Luigi

No answer. "Peach?" said all three of them at different times, repeatedly.

Then they suddenly heard something laughing at them from above them. They looked up and saw some kind of clown flying thing with a large mutant turtle of some kind. They also saw Peach in the flying device.

As the creature began to fly away, Mario and Luigi began to angrily shout at him.

"Bowser! You bring Princess Peach back!"

Meanwhile, Nyx had a look of pure terror on her face. "Who-who was that?" She asked the brothers.

"That was Bowser." Said Mario, not moving his body to look at her.

"Bowser?"

"Yes, Bowser." Replied Luigi

"You two don't really seem to like him very much. Have you met before?"

Mario closed his eyes, "Yes, but it wasn't a friendly greeting."

"What did he do?"

"Let's just say that this wasn't the first time he kidnapped Princess Peach." Replied Mario, opening his eyes again. "Now we've got a Princess to save."

Mario and Luigi began running when they heard Nyx

"Wait. Let me come with you." Yelled Nyx. "I don't want to be left alone in this possibly dangerous place. I'm just a filly."

"She does have a point bro. It's probably way too dangerous for a filly to be by herself on this island."

"Alright. Nyx, come on. We've got a long journey ahead of us."

"Oh, thank you Mario and Luigi." Said Nyx, "I promise I won't get in the way."

"No, Nyx. Don't do it." Exclaimed Twilight, fearful.

"Relax, Twi. I'm sure that, um, what were their names?"

"Mario and Luigi."

"Yeah, them. I'm sure that they will keep Nyx safe. They've obviously already dealt with this Bowser guy before."

"Yeah, I suppose. I'm just worried about her."

"I understand that, darling. But these guys must be strong heroes, despite their outward appearances." Said Rarity.

"You're right Rarity."

The ponies continued to watch as Mario, Luigi, and Nyx rushed through the meadow.

"So, you two have already challenged Bowser before and won?"

"Yes. We did."

"Mario. Goomba incoming." Warned Luigi.

Mario looked and saw the goomba walking towards him before jumping on it, causing it to become squished before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

"Thanks for the warning Luigi." Said Mario.

"What was that thing?" Asked Nyx

"That was a goomba, one of Bowser's minions." Replied Mario

"And you just killed it? Why?"

"Bowser's minions are relentless. If we don't kill them, then they'll kill us."

"K-kill? I don't want to die." Said Nyx, "But I don't know how to fight."

"You don't. Man, your home must be so peaceful. Anyway, how about we tell you how to fight like us."

"O-okay."

"Okay. So Nyx, the first part of fighting is jumping. Show me your best jump."

Nyx then jumped about halfway to Mario's hat, which was enough to squash at least a goomba.

"Good. That'll squash a goomba, but you'll need to practice jumping higher for bigger enemies."

"Mario, another goomba." Said Luigi.

"Thanks Luigi. Okay, you see that goomba right there?" Mario asked Nyx.

"Yeah."

"Jump on it's head."

Nyx hesitated, but then ran towards the goomba and jumped on it's head, squishing it.

"Good job Nyx." Congratulated Mario.

The trio continued until they reached a large sloped hill with goombas walking up.

"Okay Nyx. The next part of fighting is sliding into your enemies. Luigi, show her what I'm talking about."

Luigi nodded before sliding down the hill, knocking all of the goombas out. Then he got out of the way as more goombas began walking up the hill.

"Your turn Nyx." Said Mario

Nyx gulped before slowly walking towards the slope. Once she got on it, she sat on her rear and began sliding down, also knocking the goombas out of the way.

"That was really fun." Said Nyx as Mario slid down. They continued until they approached some floating coins and a question block

"Next thing is coins and items." Mario said to Nyx. "Jump up and collect those coins."

Nyx nodded before jumping and getting the coins, which somehow automatically went into her join bag.

"Now strike that question block with your hoof." Instructed Mario.

Nyx approached the question block and hit it with her hoof, causing a mushroom to pop out.

"Mmm, mushroom." Said Nyx. She took the mushroom and ate it. When she did, she suddenly grew to the size of a teenager, while still having her "Nyx" appearance

"Uh, what just happened? Is this normal?" Asked Nyx.

Mario and Luigi both nodded before the three of them continued.

"What the hay just happened?" Asked Spike.

"I'm wondering the same thing. I'll have to ask Nyx to bring one of those mushrooms back to study it." Said Twilight

After teaching Nyx how to jump from wall to wall, swim underwater, and use pipes, she was ready to really begin her first adventure.
