Season 1. Episode 10: The Mirror Part 1

Luster Dawn's Journal: Entry Number 6 - Finding The Mirror

It's time for me to help my mom out with cleaning out the castle storage. Funny thing is though, while I was helping her do this, I found this strange mirror where upon looking into it, I could see what I thought was my reflection. But after a quick second, I soon discovered that the "me" depicted in the mirror was a stallion instead of a mare. My mother sent a letter to Twilight right away, and she came in person to explain the mirror.

Twilight is unsure of where she got the mirror from, but it came with instructions. Apperently, one could use this mirror to flip flop to an alternate world where the genders of those we knew were swapped but that was as much as Twilight was told outside of some other rules.

Diamond Tiara took initiative upon hearing these other rules, and thus we came up with our own group rules. The first rule is that no more then five swaps could be done at one time period even though there was no limit. The second rule is that while there is no time limit, a person must not remain swapped for more then four weeks, or 28 days; just shy of a full month in most cases. The third rule is that if a sixth person wants to swap worlds, someone whose already swapped must swap back first.

With these rules in place, the matter came down to who would go through the mirror...

"Ah'll do it." Apple Bloom stated.

"Are you sure, Apple Bloom?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"Ah'll be fine. Plus, best that Ah go since I'm more sociable. Or do I need to bring up Zecora again?" Apple Bloom asked.

"No...no you don't." Scootaloo said.

"Zecora? Whose that?" Luster Dawn asked.

"We'll...tell you later." Silver Spoon said.

"For now, I agree with Apple Bloom being the mediator." Sweetie Belle said. Apple Bloom approuched the mirror.

"Well here I go guys." Apple Bloom said and entered the mirror. Soon a stallion with a baseball cap soon tumbled out of the mirror.

"Whoa...where am I? Is this...the other world?" The Stallion asked. He sounded very much like a male version of Apple Bloom.

"So...would you made answering me who you are?" Starlight asked the Stallion.

"Ma name's Apple Buck, who are you?" The stallion asked Starlight.

"Me? I'm Starlight Glimmer." Starlight answered.

"Ah...you remind me of Flashlight Slammer." Apple Buck said.

"I'm going to guess that that would be Starlight's counterpart." Diamond Tiara spoke up. Suddenly, Apple Buck looked at her.

"...Whoa..." Apple Buck went over to Diamond Tiara said. "And you remind me a lot of Gold Watch." He added.

"Gold Watch? Hmm...was he a bully to you until you and your crusader friends showed him a better way?" Diamond Taira asked. Apple Buck gasped.

"That's exactly right! How'd you know that?" Apple Buck asked.

"Because that's essentially the same story as me." Diamond Tiara said. "I think it's best if you tell us everything you can think of from the history of your world." She added.

"Yeah. And then we can compare notes! You really are Gold Watch's counterpart!" Apple Buck said.

"And you are most certainly Apple Bloom's." Diamond said with a giggle.
