My Little Pony: Dawn of Friendship

In a very ruined version of Equestria, the same one Twilight and Starlight once visited, Slade was finishing up sharpening his swords as Mistique and Grogar came up to him.

"So, how'd your latest test with your nightmare device go? Can it work on other creatures too?" Slade asked Mistique.

"Naturally. But what did you expect from someone who used her dark powers to revive the two of you." Mistique said.

"I only have one question: What happens if we successfully altar time itself?" Slade asked.

"Well after that, you Slade are free to leave for a different part of the multiverse as promised. I did after all restore your full body to it's state from before that war you took part in." Mistique said.

"And I thank you for that." Slade said. "But what are you and Grogar gonna do without me?" He asked.

"Whatever we want; with that version of Equestria ending up like this one, Grogar and myself can swoop in and corrupt it into our own image." Mistique said.

"Well that's your thing. Me? I'm just gonna go back to my assassin work after this." Slade said.

"Well what you do once my goals have been realized is your own business. After all, our deal was for you to help me destroy the past of a specific version of Equestria." Mistique said.

"Mistress, I can't help but wonder...what purpose does us messing with time in the way we have have to do with that? That group of creatures who defeated me seems to get in our way each time." Grogar said.

"That's simple: By messing with the time stream, we create Dark Energy, which I have been collecting. Once I've collected enough of it, I plan on dropping it far into the past of that version of Equestria which will ultimately destroy it. But there's still not enough energy for that to occur." Mistique said.

"Right...of course. Give them hope only to show them how hopeless it really is. I have to admit Mistique, your my kind of gal. If only you weren't so taken with your boy toy." Slade said.

"I am not mistress's boy toy! Considering how much of her power she used to restore me to this form it's only natural I would submit to her." Grogar said.

"That's right. And if you have a problem with that, I can easily just destroy you again." Mistique said.

"Chill would you. I'm just trying to lighten the mood a little." Slade said.

"The only thing that'll lighten my mood is getting rid of the prime version of Equestria. Once it falls, all the other versions will fall with it. That is my ultimate goal." Mistique said.

"Right. I get it. So I guess this means I'm up to use the Nightmare Machine on a certain changeling yes?" Slade asked.

"But of course. Here you go." Mistique said and handed Slade a strange portable cannon device.

"This thing is kind of awesome by the way...just one blast and suddenly someone is granted the strangth of an Alicorn." Slade said. "Well I'm gone." He added before he vanished through the time stream.

"...Finally we're alone. Now I can stop spotting these lies." Mistique said.

"Eh? What lies, Mistress? You mean your not goign for total annhilation of Equestrian Prime?" Grogar asked.

"Oh I am, but did you know that if the monsters you created were infused with dark energy gathered by messing with the time stream, they become invincible beasts?" Mistique asked. "At that point, the only way to stop them would be to kill me." She added.

"Ah. I see. You plan on making it impossible for them to defend against your plans." Grogar said. "And this is why you are my mistress." Mistique said.

"Come now, I wouldn't have had the idea if not for you. And I can't help but picture us as the ruling king and queen of all of Equestria." Mistique said.

"You...you honor me, Mistress." Grogar said.

"Your loyalty is to be well paid for. But Slade on the other hand well...let's just say that once I no longer have a use for him, his life is forfeit. I don't trust anyone, least of all assassins." Mistique said.

"But of course Mistress." Grogar said.
