My Little Pony: Dawn of Friendship

The Time Patrol group was looking at the time when Lightning Dust was just kicked out of the Wonderbolts and was suddenly possessed by a nightmare.

"Once again, it seems Mistique is using her nightmares to cause problems in the past." The Jackle said. "This time using one of them to possess Lightning Dust." He added.

"Let's not waste any time, we better get out there." Cozy Glow said.

"Worry not about how the location is on clouds; the Altar of Time will add a cloud walking spell to you all during the timestream slip." The Jackle said.

"I was just about to wonder about that." Luster Dawn said. The group traveled through the timestream and ended up ready to take on the possessed Lightning Dust.

"Whoa! Where'd all of them come from?" Spitfire asked.

"It's that group from the future I was talking about Captain Spitfire. I had a feeling that they'd be showing up here as soon as Lightning Dust got possessed by that nightmare." Rainbow Dash said.

"I see. But this is a wonderbolt problem." Spitfire said.

"No offense there Spitfire, but are you forgetting there's a possessed Pegasus in front of you made into an alicorn because of the nightmare?" Luster Dawn asked.

"Okay. Fair enough point. But I'm helping you out. And that's final." Spitfire said.

A long battle later, and Lightning Dust returned to normal only for Slade to pop out.

"SLADE!" Cozy Glow's voice was raised.

"Okay, who the hell is this guy?!" Spitfire said.

"I remember this guy, he was there during the Canterlot Wedding incident." Rainbow Dash stated. "Seems he's really bad news." She added.

"I see. Well no one just shows up here at Wonderbolt Property without expecting me to do something about it." Spitfire said.

It was another long battle, and during it, Slade had injured Spitfire.

"Are you okay Captain Spitfire ma'm?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'll be fine...it's just an injury. Nothing too serious now." Spitfire said.

"Captain, with your permission, allow me to handle things from here." Rainbow Dash said.

"Permission granted. Give him one for me." Spitfire said.

"You really think you've got me on the ropes? Just wait until you see my new techniques." Slade said.

The second scuffle with Slade was ended with Rainbow Dash damaged Slade's left wrist and disarmed it.

"Ack! Well this just got awkward. Normally people aim for my right hand when they disarm me." Slade said.

"Well judging from the way you've been swinging, you were always leading with your left. While it is true many ponies and other creatures are right handed, considering the way you've been swinging makes you lead with your left side more then your right, it was pretty clear to me you were left handed. That's why I asked Spitfire for permission to step in: I was planning on disarming your dominant hand. Sure you could continue to fight with your right it seems like, but because your dominantly left, that would make you come off as clunkier in your attacks and thus easier to predict and counter." Rainbow Dash said.

"Way to go on the observation there, Rainbow Dash." Spitfire praised.

"Heh...thanks." Rainbow Dash said. But when she spotted Slade's wrist, her eyes went wide. "WHOA, WHAT THE..." Rainbow Dash was exclaiming when Slade slipped back through the time stream.

"Hey...did anyone else just catch that?" Cozy Glow asked.

"Yeah. Slade's wrist. After Rainbow Dash damaged it, the skin was gone and replaced with some kind of purple glowy stuff." Luster Dawn said.

"So I'm not the only one who just saw that then." Rainbow Dash said. "And that strange creature's name is Slade huh? I'll have to remember that one." She added. Spitfire approached the Time Patrol Group.

"Thank you for the assist I suppose. What was this Slade doing here anyways?" Spitfire asked.

"No idea, but he was responsible for causing Lightning Dust to get possessed by that nightmare." Chitin said. "It's time for us to go." He added before he and the time patrol group were sent back through the timestream.

"Slade...something tells me that mysterious swordscreature has a body being animated by some really dark magic." Rainbow Dash said.

"That was the impression I got as well, Rainbow Dash." Spitfire said.

"SAY WHAT?!" Princess Twilight exclaimed.

"It's true, we saw it for ourselves: Slade's body is being held together by what seemed like really dark magic." Luster Dawn said.

"It actually makes me feel sorry for him to a degree. When I was looking at that magic, it felt like there was nothing there but darkness and despair. It makes me feel like something occured in Slade's past that made him become the way he was. If only there was a way for me to help him be raised in a world where whatever made him become this way would never happen." Cozy Glow said.

"I hope your right about that." Princess Twilight said.
