A Chaotic Hearth's Warming Day

Another hour went by before Fluttershy got Discord got up from his nap, and Fluttershy went about dressing the little lord of chaos. It wasn't long until Discord was outfitted with a few scarves wrapped around his neck, two jackets, and sweat pants around his padded rump. Rainbow Dash was clearly getting quite impatient as she was walking back and forth as she snapped, "can you hurry up!? We're going to be late!"

"I'm trying to make sure little Discord is properly dressed; I don't want him catching a cold." Fluttershy cooed longingly as she placed a snowcap over her charge's head. Discord seemed to be quite displeased with the layers of clothing. He was unable to walk as he babbled angrily and was trying to throw a tantrum.

Rainbow looked over at the commotion and rolled her eyes, "I would be angry too if you dressed me up like that? Seriously, it's just a light snowfall outside; it's not like we're going through a blizzard."

"Alright, alright, we're going," Fluttershy whispered meekly; she would fight Rainbow on the matter. Still, she wanted to get going to the party as well. The mare then plopped Discord into the sleigh stroller and struggled with the straps making sure he was snug. Fluttershy then pushed him into the snowfield outside. She even shivered as they came out with cold air blowing through Ponyville. As they made their baby lord of chaos laugh and giggled at the snow falling around him, making the baby draconequus coo and babble adorably. Even Rainbow snickered seeing how cute the baby lord of chaos was acting and chirped, "wow, he's rather excited."

"Yeah, isn't he? He must be loving the snow." The yellow coated pegasus cooed lovingly as she ruffled the baby draconequus's fins and nuzzled him.

She and Rainbow Dash trudged through the snow-covered streets and saw the cutie mark crusaders building a snowmare. Scootaloo looked over, and upon seeing Rainbow, she zoomed over and hugged her. "Hey Rainbow Dash! Merry Hearth's Warming day!"

Rainbow Dash ruffled the little filly's mane as she replied, "Hey squirt! Merry Hearth's Warming day too, your snowmare is looking pretty good!"

"Thanks, I tried to put wings on it...but they kept falling off, so we just decided to use sticks," Scootaloo mumbled under her breath.

The daredevil decided to walk around the snowmare; the snowmare in question was simple with two black coals for eyes, two branches for wings, a carrot for a horn, and a row of black coals for the mouth. Rainbow clapped her hooves and complimented them. "It looks amazing; you three did great."

Sweetie Belle snickered under her breath, "yeah, thanks, too bad we can't make it come to life like in that one story."

"Which story was that?" Apple Bloom asked, scratching her mane.

Sweetie Belle continued to explain, "it was something about Frosty; she was a snowmare, and she had like a magic scarf that made her real?"

Discord seemed intrigued by this story as Sweetie Belle did her best to tell it. He suddenly sneezed and sent some magic at the snowmare, and the pile of snow started to move and flap its wings made of tree branches. The coal eyes became big and blue, while her rump now had a snowflake printed on her flank. The cutie mark crusaders were quite amazed as the snowmare started to stumble about by itself!

Rainbow Dash was freaking out, flying upward. "Hey, Fluttershy! I think Discord did something!"

Fluttershy herself didn't know what to do as her first instinct was to scold Discord and have him turn the Snowmare back to being a clump of snow. But the realization that the snowmare was now alive made her unsure of what to do precisely. The snowmare scratched her head. "Um... what's going on here? Where am I? What am I?"

Everypony was stunned for a few seconds, unsure of what to do. Scootaloo was the first to come over and introduced herself slowly. "Um...hello, you're a snowmare, and my name is Scootaloo. I helped make you."

"Oh, really? What do you mean by make?" the snowmare asked, looking somewhat confused.

Apple Bloom continued to explain, "we made you out of snow! Some coal and sticks! I did most of it!"

Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes. "No, you didn't, you helped find the other materials, but I did most of the building."

"I made your wings!" Scootlaoo exclaimed.

The snowmare seemed to be as excited as the fillies as she flapped her craggy wings. "Wow! Thank you for making me; I guess that makes you like my mommies!"

The fillies all fell silent and feeling awkward now as Rainbow Dash finally had enough and shouted, "ok, I'm going to Twilight! This is way too much for me to handle!"

The daredevil mare flew off with Fluttershy and was quite stunned, and she finally asked, "um...snowmare….your...um...alive and...um...do you want to come to a party?"

"Sure, even though I don't know what a party is." The snowmare replied as she came over to Fluttershy.

The cutie mark crusaders were still in awe of what happened and were now bouncing up and down in the snow. "We did it! We made a real snowmare!"

"No, it was Discord," Fluttershy grumbled, pointing at the baby draconequus in the sleigh stroller. The three foals all looked down at the little lord of chaos and dawwed; Scootlaoo snickered, "wow!? What did you do, Fluttershy?"

"Oh, I didn't do anything; he turned himself into a baby. I just was the unlucky mare who has to care for him." Fluttershy explained sarcastically, still being rather annoyed that Discord has put her in this situation.

Sweetie Belle poked the chubby Discord, who kicked at her. "He is rather cute, though I wouldn't want to try babysitting him."

Apple Bloom laughed out loud and added. "yeah, even when we were looking for our cutie marks, I wouldn't want to babysit Discord."

Discord seemed to understand what the little fillies were saying and got angry as he kicked and cried out at them. Fluttershy nuzzled her charge and cooed, "alright, that's enough, we have a party to go and a certain problem to fix…" The yellow coated mare explained as she turned her attention to the snowmare who was seeming to be still learning how to walk, stumbling about aimlessly.

"Just make sure she doesn't melt, ok!" Scootaloo cried out, looking somewhat nervous.

"Don't worry, Scootaloo, she won't melt anytime soon," Fluttershy replied as she nuzzled Scootaloo. She then led the snowmare towards Twilight's castle; the cutie mark crusaders went off to throw snowballs at each other. As Fluttershy continued to push Discord through the snow, she looked down at the baby draconequus clapping his claws, trying to catch the snowflakes.

The snowmare was now curious about the creature also looking at the lord of chaos and asked. "He's rather cute; what is he?"

"Oh, just a little troublemaker named Discord," Fluttershy replied nonchalantly, trying not to think about how she was talking to a literal snowmare.

The snowmare in question blinked and asked, "Are you its mother?"

"What!? No...I..I..mean I'm caring for him that's all..um..no more questions please, ok? Twilight will answer all your questions." The yellow coated stammered nervously, surprised by the question, and was now getting somewhat freaked out by the snowmare. She then continued to push the baby draconequus through the snow. The snowmare did as Fluttershy asked as she followed alongside her.
