Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were walking around Ponyville. Diamond's head hung low in pure boredom. Silver's face lit up and she looked towards her friend “We could get something to eat at sugarcube corner!” she suggested.

Diamond's expression barely changed “Nah, I'm not hungry.” she said.

Silver frowned again “We could go back to your place and play dolls.” she said.

“Nah, we do that too often.” she answered.

“Maybe we can go pick on the crusaders?” she suggested.

Diamond hummed in thought before sighing “Nah, don't feel like it.” she said.

Silver was starting to get fed up “What do you feel like doing?” she asked, slightly annoyed.

Diamond stopped walking and stared down at her hooves “I don't know. Everything just sounds boring. I want to do something new, something I've never done before.” she pondered on that thought for a moment “Like, go on an adventure or something.” she said.

Silver raised an eyebrow at her “You want to go on an adventure? Where is all this coming from?” she asked.

Diamond rolled her eyes “It was just an example.” she said.

They stood in silence until something caught Diamond's eye “Look over there.” she said before running ahead.

Silver was caught off guard but caught up “What is it?” she asked.

Diamond pointed ahead at two mares, one lavender and the other pink “It's Twilight and Pinkie. Whenever those two are together, it always ends in a train wreak. It should be good for a laugh at least.” she said.

Pinkie was hopping circles around Twilight as she walked “Please Twilight, please please please.” she pleaded.

Twilight stopped and sighed “What was it that you wanted pinkie?” she asked.

Pinkie stopped bouncing to explain “Well I was testing my party cannon but it broke so I reached for a screwdriver to crack this baby open and find the problem but stopped when I thought “that's not very fun” but then I got an idea. It would be super fun to be itsy bitsy tiny and fix it from the inside. So I came to you to ask if you knew a spell to shrink me.” she said.

“So you want me to shrink you so that you can have a fun while fixing your party cannon?” Twilight asked.

Pinkie nodded her head vigorously. Twilight thought for a moment then nodded “Okay, I know a spell that will shrink you for thirty minutes. Will that be enough?” she asked.

Pinkie nodded “Ooh ooh can you also teleport me to sugarcube corner. It would take so long to run there if I were super small.” she gasped loudly “And I could get stepped on by ponies who can't see or hear me because I'm tiny.” she gasped again but Twilight shoved her hoof into her mouth to stop her.

“I understand, I'll just mix both of the spells.” she said.

Pinkie's face lit up even more if that's even possible “Ooooh that sounds exciting. What's that gonna do?” she asked.

“It'll just allow me to cast both spells simultaneously but I'll need you to be quiet. If I'm interrupted during this then the spell could result in anything, okay?” she asked.

Pinkie nodded and pretended to zip her lips. Twilight took a breath and focused on the magic in her horn. She concentrated on both spells as she gathered enough magic. She was almost done, as long as no-

“Look out!” she heard and felt a body ram into her. She felt the magic leave her horn. She looked to the pony who crashed into her to see Rainbow Dash. Rainbow got to her hooves and rubbed the back of her neck “Sorry about that Twi, I may have done one too many flips.” she said.

Twilight got up and glared at her friend “You have to be more careful. I was trying to cast two spells at once. Being interrupted during something like that could be dangerous.” she scolded.

Rainbow racked her brain for something that will get her out of trouble “Well no harm no foul, right?” she asked nervously.

Suddenly they heard a nearby scream. Twilight shot another glare at Rainbow before running towards the sound.

Rainbow sighed “Bad timing.” she said to herself before following with Pinkie.

When they reached where they thought the scream came from they saw a shocked looking Silver Spoon “What's wrong?” Twilight asked.

Silver started tearing up and pointed an accusing hoof at Twilight “Your magic hit Diamond Tiara and she just disappeared.” she said.

Twilight went wide eyed and Rainbow tried to calm the filly “Don't worry, I'm sure Twilight can bring her back from where ever she sent her, right Twi?” she asked with confidence. She lost some confidence when she saw the worried look on her friend's face “Twi? You can bring her back right?” she reiterated.

Twilight finally got her thoughts in order “To be honest, it will be difficult. Since I was interrupted I didn't have any control over it's effects.” she said.

Rainbow looked down at Silver and saw that she was now fully sobbing. She then looked back up at Twilight “Can't you give us any good news?” she asked.

Twilight pondered for a second “Well the effect would be close to one of the spells I meant to cast. Since she didn't change size at all I'd have to think that she was teleported but the destination is unknown.” she said.

Rainbow nodded “Well I guess that means she's still alive. Is there anyway to figure out how to find her?” she asked.

Twilight started to sweat from the stress “I...I don't know, maybe Celestia and Luna will be able to help. Let's go back to my library and send a letter.” she said.

Rainbow nodded then looked back down to the teary eyed filly “Come on, you should come too. We might need your information. Hop on.” she said as she bent down.

Silver wiped her eyes and climbed onto the pegasus. They all made their way towards the library as fast as they could.

Diamond woke up with a headache. Her eyes fluttered open to see that she was on a path in the woods. She got to her hooves and looked around. The trees around her were dying and the brown leaves littered the ground “What happened to me? Am I dead?” she asked herself.

She bit her hoof and winced at the pain “I guess that rules out the afterlife or dream.” she said. After a few seconds she decided to just follow the path.

After a minute or two of walking she saw a bipedal creature. It had blonde hair and a brown jacket. Diamond thought that the type of creature looked familiar. That's right, it looks like one of those mythical creatures that Lyra is obsessed with. What was it called again? Human, that's it. She started walking closer to it. She noticed that it was talking to a black plastic thing in his hand “Whoever this group is, they sure picked the wrong girl to kidnap.” the human said in a clear masculine voice.

She heard a feminine voice come from the thing in his hand “I'll try to find more information on them on my end as well.” it said.

“Good. Talk to you later. Leon out.” the human responded before attaching the thing to his belt.

Diamond got right behind him “Excuse me?” she asked.

The human quickly turned around and held what looked like a small machine in his hands. He scanned the area but found nothing “Down here.” Diamond said.

The human pointed the machine down but stepped back in shock at the sight of her. Diamond smirked “I know I'm cute but you don't have to be so surprised.” she said.

The human composed himself and kept the machine pointed at her “You can talk? What are you? What's your name?” he commanded.

Diamond frowned “Daddy always told me that a gentlecolt should always introduce himself before asking a lady her name.” she said.

The human lowered his arms in confusion “Daddy? Gentlecolt? Lady?” he asked. He composed himself “Whatever, assuming that you're real and I'm not going insane, I guess I should introduce myself. Leon Kennedy.” he said while putting the machine away “How about yourself?” he asked.

Diamond remembered the way her father taught her to introduce herself. She gave a gentle curtsy “My name is Diamond Tiara Rich, of the Rich family.” she said.

Leon glanced back at something that resembled a carriage with two more humans in it. They both had faces of shock. Leon looked back to Diamond “So they see you too, I guess you are real.” he said to himself.

Diamond looked towards the machine that he had put away on his belt “What's that thing you were pointing at me?” she asked.

Leon looked at it and back to her “You've never heard of a gun before?” he asked. Diamond nodded and Leon rubbed the back of his neck trying to think of a way to explain it “Let's just say it's used to hurt people who are trying to hurt you.” he said.

Diamond nodded in understanding. Leon then thought of something. He pulled out a small picture and bent down to show it to her “Have you seen this girl anywhere?” he asked.

Diamond stared at the picture of the blonde girl then shook her head “Never seen her. I'm not really from around here.” she said.

Leon pocketed the picture and rolled his eyes “Should of guessed that. What are you doing here, you seem a bit young to be someplace like this all alone.” he said.

Diamond then looked down sadly “I don't even know where I am. Somepony botched a spell and I think it sent me to another world since we don't have humans in Equestria.” she said.

Leon rubbed his chin in thought “Spell? Then you'd have to be from another world, 'cause there's no magic in this world.” he said. He looked down at the sad filly and sighed “Listen I have something very important to do, if you stay with my friends here then maybe they can help you.” he said.

Diamond raised an eyebrow “What do you have to do that's so important? Does it have to do with the girl you showed me?” she asked.

Leon nodded “Yeah, she's the president's daughter. The president is the leader of my country. She has been kidnapped and I've been tasked with finding her. Now can you just save any more questions for my friends?” he asked.

Diamond shook her head and walked ahead “No way, that sounds boring. I'll help you look for that girl.” she spotted a small house nearby “Maybe somepony in there knows something.” she said before darting towards the house.

Leon ran after her “Hey! Stop! It could be dangerous!” he called out to her but she ignored him. She opened the door and slipped in.

Leon sighed and walked in himself. He took out his handgun and walked further in. he then saw diamond nudging the leg of the resident of the house “Excuse me? I'm trying to ask you a question.” she complained. The villager didn't seem interested in her.

Leon pulled her away from him “I'm sorry about her. But while I'm here” he pulled out the small picture again and held it out to him “Have you seen the girl in this picture?” he asked.

The villager turned around took one glance at the photo then stared Leon down “Que carajo estas haciendo aquí? Lárgate, cabrón!” he snapped.

Leon held up his hand defensively “Sorry to have bothered you” he said and went to put the picture away.

Diamond pouted “Rude.” she said. The villager then grabbed a nearby hatchet and raised it for a strike at Leon “Leon lookout!” Diamond warned.

Leon looked up just in time and rolled out of the way. He pulled out his handgun and pointed it at the villager “Freeze!” he commanded but the villager continued slowly advancing on them.

Diamond hid behind Leon's leg “Didn't you say that the gun thing you have is to hurt people trying to hurt us, you should probably do it now!” she said.

Leon hesitated as the villager got closer “I said freeze!” he repeated. Once again the villager refused and raised the hatchet for another attack. Before he could bring it down, Leon fired a single bullet through his head, causing him to fall backwards onto the floor.

Diamond looked shocked “Did...did you kill him?” she asked while peeking from behind his leg.

Leon felt bad for killing in front of a small child but it had to be done “It was either him or us.” he said.

Suddenly they heard the sound of a car starting up. Leon ran to the window and peeked through the blinds. He saw a truck drive past and towards where his friends parked. He heard the sound of tires screeching and a crash. He turned from the window “Shi-” he stopped himself from cursing “Fuck.” he face palmed “That's not better.” he mumbled.

He took out his communicator and spoke into it “Hunnigan.” he said.

“Is everything okay?” she asked.

“There was a hostile local. I had no choice but to neutralize him. There are still others surrounding the area.” he said.

“Get out of there and head towards the village, take whatever measures necessary to save the subject.” Hunnigan commanded.

Leon nodded “Understood.” he said.

He put the communicator away and looked down at Diamond “Uh Leon, what was all that noise out there?” she asked.

They heard banging on the door “No time to chat, I'll get us out of here safely.” he said before scooping her up in his arms and ran up a flight of stairs. It led him to a small room with a table and a window.

He looked down at the filly in his arms “Hold on tight alright?” he asked.

Diamond nodded and made sure she had a good grip on him. Leon ran at the window and jumped through the window while shielding Diamond. He landed with a roll and he turned to see four villagers walking towards him with different kinds of farm tools. Leon took Diamond in one arm and grabbed his handgun in his other. He shot three of them in the head, killing them instantly. The last one charged him with a pitchfork. He knocked it away with his hand and kicked her in the jaw. When she fell to the floor, Leon took out a knife and slit her throat with it.

Leon scanned the area again to see that there were no more. He sighed and put Diamond back on the ground “Come on.” he said as he ran back to where the car was with Diamond following. When they arrived all they saw was some tire tracks near the cliff.

He leaned over the edge and saw the trunk and car but no signs of life “Oh no.” he said.

Diamond got his attention by knocking on his leg “Are your friends okay?” she asked with worry.

Leon didn't see the use in lying to her “I don't think they made it out in time.” he said.

Diamond felt sorry for him so she tried to make him feel better by nuzzling his leg. Leon knelt down to her “Don't worry about it kid. I can't let something like this stop me, I still have a job to do.” he said.

Diamond looked down in sad contemplation “What should I do now?” she asked, now feeling very lost.

Leon sighed and looked around for a few seconds “Just stay right there, I'm going to step aside for a moment to make a call.” he said then walked away. He made sure that she was still within eyesight then grabbed his communicator “Hunnigan, is there any chance I can get an evac here soon?” he asked.

“Why? You're not abandoning your mission, are you?” she asked.

Leon shook his head quickly “No no it's not for me. You see, I met this filly when I arrived-”

“Filly? I'm not sending an evac for a horse.” she said.

“Well she not like any horse I've ever seen. She's pink, has huge eyes, and can somehow speak perfect English. She says that she's from another world and came here on accident.” he explained.

Hunnigan was silent for a moment then spoke in a exasperated tone “Have you been eating wild mushrooms out there?” she asked.

“No, I-” he sighed and pointed the communicator towards Diamond “Just look.” he said. After a few seconds he faced the communicator back to him “Her name is Diamond Tiara and she's obviously a young child. Do you think you can send out an evac for her?” he asked again.

Hunnigan sighed “I can't believe you were telling the truth. Anyway I'm under strict orders not to send out evacs unless you're wounded, or the subject is secure. I'm sorry.” she said.

“Then what do you think I should do?” he asked,

“She has no importance to the mission at hand. You can bring her with you and try to keep her safe, or you can leave her. The choice is yours.” she said.

“It wouldn't feel right to leave her to fend for herself, especially with these hostile villagers around.” he said.

“Alright then. Is that all?” she asked.

“Yeah, I'll contact you again when I get more information. Leon out.” he said before putting the communicator away.

He walked back to the filly “Diamond!” he called.

She turned and walked to him “What was all that about?” she asked.

Leon knelt down to her “I tried to get some friends to come pick you up and take you somewhere safe but I couldn't.” he said.

Diamond looked down sadly.

Leon raised her chin to make her look at him “So you'll be joining me on my mission. I'll keep you safe, and when I save the president's daughter then I can help you find a way home. Is that okay with you?” he asked.

Diamond smiled a bit and hugged him “Thank you Leon.” she said.

Leon smiled too “No problem Diamond.” he said.
