Chapter 1 - Confusion

So there I was standing in the rain, dumbfounded of the thing that was in front of me, my mind was going in overdrive trying to think of a logical explanation for all this, but I couldn´t come up with any. So instead of trying to think of an explanation, I tried to lift her and succeeded. She was quite light, almost like carrying a dog but lighter and she had WAY softer fur.

The nearest building besides our family´s house was the lake sauna, which was almost right in front of the house and it was a wooden one, which had been recently painted dark grey-blue and there was also a terrace built aside it. I took her inside and carried upstairs and then laid her on a mattress. I decided I could warm up the sauna while she wakes up from her sleep, so that's what I did, and when I came back she was still sleeping peacefully. I decided to wait til' she wakes up, so she wouldn´t be scared shitless immediately.

When her snoring stopped, I noticed that she was starting to wake up from her slumber, so I went up to her and when she looked at me her eyes shot wide open and she started breathing rapidly. "Woah there, relax I´m not gonna hurt you." Now she looked even more surprised.

"You can talk? Who are you? What are you? And where am I!?" She spoke while looking at me with those shocked purple eyes of hers.

"Well yes I can talk that much is obvious.. and to answer what I am, I am a human and the name's Matt. As for where you are, you are on planet Earth, Republic of Finland, Commune of Karstula. And what would be your name miss...?"

"Twilight, Twilight Sparkle..."

"And you are an unicorn I presume?"

"Yes, I am a member of one of the three pony species pegasi, earth ponies and unicorns, in the land of Equestria."

"And how did you end up here?"

"I was testing an old spell, then something went wrong and I ended up here."

She started sobbing after that and I couldn´t blame her. I would probably do the same, if I was stranded in an unknown world away from my friends and family, possibly without a way back. I tried to ease her mental pain by hugging her, which she gladly accepted and started crying on my shoulder.

It went like that for a few minutes, then she suddenly stopped and looked at me.

"Thanks, I needed that."

"Anytime."

We then went downstairs and I checked the sauna if it was warm enough. It wasn't though, so I went and added a few logs to the furnace and left it to warm up.

We then walked to my family´s house and I left my raincoat on the hanger to dry and took the boots off my legs. Just then I noticed it was almost 5 pm and I hadn´t even eaten anything since the lunch in school, which totally sucked ass.

"So what do you wanna eat?" I asked Twilight, who looked up to me and smiled.

"Well whatever do you have." she responded, while I opened up the fridge.

I took some leftover salad for her and some potatoes, pepper-cottage cheese-chicken sauce for me, and some homemade blackcurrant juice for both. She looked at the sauce curiously before asking:

"Hey.. What's that?"

"A simple pepper-cottage cheese-chicken sauce I made, why?"

She looked at me with a shocked expression.

"You... you eat meat? You don´t eat ponies, do you?"

"Oh heck no, I'm not gonna eat something that talks and besides, meat is a requirement in human diet. It contains some much needed proteins, that we require to function properly."

"Phew... well thats a relief, but I think we should eat now, shall we?"

"Well you can eat, since you can eat your green salad cold, but I have to use the microwave to heat my food up."

"What's a microwave?"

I then went to explain how the microwave worked, good thing we had learned about radiation on school last year, since it helped a lot in explaining the whole thing. But she didn´t stop there. She kept asking a lot of questions, mainly about the kitchen appliances that she had not seen in Equestria, like the electronic stove and the freezer.

While we were eating, I noticed that Twilight used her magic to lift the fork. And if you ask me how I know its magic, lets just say I had my ways of finding out.

After we finished eating I asked her if she would like to go to sauna. She humbly declined my invitation, so I understood and went by myself to get cleaned up and relax in the warm steamy air of the lake sauna.

When I came back, I noticed that Twilight was already in our living room struggling to figure out how to turn on the TV. I myself didn´t enjoy watching TV anymore, since I can see everything and more from the Internet.

I told that TV would be pretty much useless to her, since she couldn't understand anything that was being said in the news or anything else for that matter, unless she learns some finnish language first. After that we went upstairs into my room, which was a mess, since I pretty much didn't care about keeping my room clean. The whole floor was littered with dirty clothes, books, trash and some other stuff. Twilight couldn´t stand looking at the mess, so she started immediately cleaning the whole place and even ordered me to participate, which I did although a bit hesitantly. When we had cleaned up the whole place, she was satisfied with the work and so was I. In the end it looked better, even the air was now cleaner, since we cleaned up all the dust that had been collected under my bed, the workdesk and some corners.

It was already 10 pm when we had finished, so I went to the attic and brought a mattress and set it down on the floor of my room next to my bed. I then went to get a pillow, some sheets and a cover. When we were finished, we were both tired and decided to go to sleep. But in the middle of the night Twilight woke me up with her long dark purple messed up mane and her purple eyes shuddering from shock, because she said she was having nightmares and asked if she could sleep beside me, I accepted, even though the bed was not fit for two people, it was easier for her to fit, since she was smaller.. being a pony and all and fit quite nicely. After saying our goodnights, we both fell to peaceful slumber.
