Vault Hunter Responsibilities

Zer0 was currently standing outside, looking off into the distance at the rising sun, he enjoyed the rise of the Pandora sun. As he was standing there, a quiet filly flew out and landed on Zer0’s shoulder.

“Morning Dad...” Fluttershy announced, Zer0 gently stroked her mane, his mask flashing a smiley face as he looked at her.

“Good morning little one / Why up so early? / You should sleep for the journey ahead” Zer0 was nuzzled by Fluttershy as he said this.

“Buh I wanted to come and see yu...” She pouted cutely

Zer0 chuckled to himself as he stroked her mane, “Fair enough”

At that moment, Krieg came outside with a hyper Pinkie on his back, he was giving her a piggyback ride

“WEEEEE!” Pinkie cried out

“Woohoo!” Krieg cried out as he ran fast with Pinkie holding on

Maya also walked out with Twilight behind her, Twilight was trying her best to lay things out, “So I think if we are to get to Sanctuary before the next sundown, we should leave as soon as possible, Mommy”

Maya rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn, “Yeah, that’s great honey, can we worry about that later? We haven’t even had breakfast yet”

“Okay, but I really hope we get to Sanctuary before sundown” Twilight hugged Maya, “I love you mommy!”

Maya hugged back and waved to Zer0, “Heya assassin, how’d you sleep?”

“Rather satisfying / I have stored energy / I am prepared” Zer0 stated in haiku

“That’s good to know” Maya stated

Inside Hammerlock’s house…

Aurelia was showing Rarity a beautiful amethyst gem, Rarity was enjoying it.

“Mommy, I love this gem, it’s so shiny! But I love it as much as I love you!” Rarity cooed in
Aurelia’s arms

“You are quite the rare gem yourself, my darling Rarity, I find you as precious as diamonds” Aurelia said as she stroked Rarity’s mane.

At that moment, Salvador walked out with Applejack clinging to his arm as she punched him playfully, Aurelia looked up and couldn’t help but giggle, “Greetings Sal, I’m assuming you slept well”

“Yes, I was also sleeping in, until this little troublemaker woke me up, but she was too cute for me to remove” Salvador petted Applejack softly.

“Awww come on Pa, I’m an early riser” Applejack exclaimed as she clinged onto Salvador

Salvador then looked at Aurelia, “How did you sleep?”

“Rather softly Sal, this little jewel slept quietly next to me, I woke up and found her using my jacket as a blanket, it was the cutest sight” Aurelia giggled to herself.

In Hammerlock’s workshop…

“And one last change and… done!” Exclaimed an excited Gaige as she powered on Deathtrap, she had just implemented a caretaker software into Deathtrap, making Deathtrap a helper for Gaige. Deathtrap bowed to Gaige.

“Okay buddy, activate caretaker mode!” Gaige declared as Deathtrap’s reticles changed from red to pink and his appearance changed. Gaige then handed Starlight to Deathtrap, “Please take care of her for a while” Deathtrap nodded and sought to Starlight’s needs as Gaige trudged towards the exit as Axton walked in with Rainbow Dash.

“Whoa Gaige, what happened to you, your eyes are bloodshot” Axton asked concerned

“I stayed up all night creating a new software for Deathtrap, not only that, but it was hard to get done because of my little bundle of joy, but I didn’t get mad at her, nor did I get any sleep, so I’m going back to bed for now” Gaige then trudged to Hammerlock’s house and fell asleep in a guest bedroom

Axton and Rainbow Dash looked at each other and let out a sigh of relief. Axton sat down at a workbench and pulled out his sabre turret, he then pulled out a set of tools, “Alright sweetie, ready to help daddy with his turret?”

“Yeah! Let’s do it!” Rainbow Dash cheered.

Axton and Rainbow Dash worked hard, with Axton tossing any tools from his bag into the air as Rainbow Dash caught the light tools, the heavy ones Axton just pulled out normally, and after a few hours, their work was done.

“Nice job Rainbow, you really know how to speed things along” Axton petted Rainbow Dash’s mane softly as she hugged him.

“Thanks dad, you really are awesome!” Rainbow exclaimed joyfully, Axton hugged back as the two of them shared a tender moment.

In Hammerlock’s house, 9:00 AM

Everyone gathered at a table in the kitchen, it wasn’t very large, everyone was standing in the kitchen, wondering how this would work. Twilight’s horn lit up as the table levitated into the large, empty dining room and extended, making it possible to sit eight people. Everyone was surprised.

“Whoa, nice job Twilight” Maya petted Twilight and everyone cheered. Hammerlock had made pancakes for everyone, seeing as how everyone agreed on it.

“So vault hunters, what is the plan?” Hammerlock asked.

“We’re thinking of leaving as soon as we’ve gathered all our belongings and materials” Maya stated

Gaige walked out after waking up, “What’s going on?”

“We’re planning on making our way to Sanctuary, you ready?” Maya asked

“Yeah, ready when you guys are” Gaige responded as Starlight lept out of Deathtrap’s arms and into Gaige’s, “Awwww, hello Starlight, mommy loves you too”

“Yay!” Starlight cried out, everyone awed at the display.

“We should get going / The Road Of Sanctuary awaits / Time shouldn’t be wasted” Zer0 stated

Everyone nodded in agreement and packed their belongings and set out towards Captain Flynt’s ship. Handsome Jack’s voice came over the ECHOnet.

“Attention Vault Hunters, If you turn yourselves in, all charges will be dropped against every single one of you and your little pony girls will be spared from death, capiece?” Jack stated

Everyone looked to one another and Maya answered, “We’d rather die than turn ourselves in Jack, you can’t manipulate us”

“Fair enough kiddos, you had your chances” Jack stated, “Well, you heard em Bandits, bring them to me dead or alive, your choice, and kill the pony girls if you feel like it”

All the bandits in the area turned to the vault hunters and took out their guns. One of them shouted, “GET EM!!!” And they opened fire on the vault hunters.

Krieg’s killer instincts kicked in, “Protect the filly girls!”

The Seven Vault Hunters began to kill the bandits while the girls looked away and shielded themselves. Twilight then got an idea, “Everyone form up”

Everyone gathered in a group as Twilight, Rarity, and Starlight used their horns to power a shield around them all as the Vault Hunters fired their weapons at the bandits as the bandits panicked and all got shot dead. Claptrap finally caught up.

“Guys, you left Liar’s Berg without me” Claptrap said running to them

“Oh, I wonder why” Salvador replied sarcastically

“Anyways, let’s keep going, we still have to get to Captain Flynt’s ship” Claptrap began going forward but looked back to the Vault Hunters, “You guys comin’?”

Twilight flew up and could see Flynt’s ship, “Why walk when we can teleport!” Everyone scratched their heads in confusion

“And how exactly would we be able to do that, honey?” Maya asks, Twilight then flew down.

“If everyone is together, I can teleport us all to Flynt’s ship” Everyone then got together as the three unicorns used their horns to reach Captain Flynt’s ship, they ended up on the deck of the ship.

“What the?! How’d they get here?! No matter, turn up the heat boys!” Captain Flynt stated as he jumped down and lit up the deck with fire. The Vault Hunters took cover and opened fire on all the bandits, leaving them for dead. They all approached Flynt as he cowered in fear, “Now hold on, maybe we can talk about thi-” Salvador had blown his head off, everyone looked at him in shock.

“What? He was talking too much” Salvador stated, resulting in a sigh from Zer0

“Whatever, let’s just get to the boat and get to Sanctuary” Maya stated obnoxiously

“I’ll start up the boat, come on guys” Claptrap shouted out as he made his way to the boat

The Vault Hunters and the filly girls made their way onto the boat, setting their eyes on the upcoming Three Horns Divide
