Mistletoe’s P.O.V:

“Okay, what was the plan again?” My green dormmate asked as we hid under Speedy’s bed.

“Fine, I’ll tell you one more time.” I told June, making sure to keep my voice down. “We hide under Speedy’s bed, wait for her to come back, force her to the floor and get her to remember who she is.” I explained, blowing my long, red mane out of my green eyes.

“So... what should I do with her diary?”

I stared at the purple, leather book with the heart lock in June’s hooves, wondering how she got it. My eyes darted back and forth from the diary and the green pegasus that I’ve known for years. Back and forth... back and forth... back and forth... back and forth... until I snatched the book from June’s hooves. I frantically looked around for the key, banging my head on the bed multiple times. One thought kept repeating itself: Where’s the key? WHERE’S THE KEY? I saw a yellow suitcase that Speedy probably hadn’t unpacked yet. I attempted to pry it open, failing however. I whacked my head on it in my failed attempts. I decided to try one more time, prying it open with all my might. It suddenly opened.

“When’s Speedy coming?” June’s voice rocketed in my ears.

“SHH!” I yelled. I turned, turning to her, then I turned back around to look at the suitcase. Inside there was a small box and a note that read: If you are not me, Speedy Gal, you will pay for this! I shrugged and took the box out. It was red and was bordered with gold. I wondered if it was real gold. I opened it with ease, as I expected it to be locked like the suitcase. Inside the box was a silver key, embroidered with patterns; swirls, diamonds, circles, the list goes on and on! I didn’t want to waste any time admiring the key. I grabbed it and unlocked the leather diary. I was filled with anticipation as I turned the key. CLICK! My huge smile almost swallowed my entire face. I flipped the cover of the diary, revealing bright yellow paper.

“Are you really gonna read her diar-?” June was the only thing that would stop me from reading the leather bound retelling of my alicorn Dormmate’s life.

“SHUT UP!” I screamed at the top of my voice. After skipping ahead a few pages, I found the page where she talks about her first day at Flight Academy.

7th January 2000

Dear diary,

Today was my first day at Flight academy. I met my new dorm mates, June Bug and Mistletoe. June Bug was a little over excitable, and Mistletoe was a little mean rough around the edges.

“Hey!” I cried out, throwing the purple book out from under the bed. Just then, the door opened. CREAK! I heard hoofsteps.

“Is this my room?”

“Speedy!” I rolled from under the bed, pulling June with me. “You’re home!”

“Is this my room?” She sounded irritated.

“Yes.” I told her. My eyes started to focus on the purple diary. Eventually, I pounced, grabbing it. “Read this!” I opened the book to a random page and forced it in front of her eyes. She started levitating it in front of her and started reading.

Speedy’s P.O.V:

My, I’m guessing, dorm mate, forced a purple book with yellow paper to my face. I rolled my eyes and started reading.

12th December 1990

Dear Diary,

Today, I got a diary, well, this diary!  Nothing much happened today, though. I guess I’ll write tomorrow.

Sincerely, Speedy Gal!

I was intrigued. This is my diary? I can’t possibly be that lame! I turned another page.

15th March 1996

Dear Diary,

Today, somepony cut a chunk of my hair off during try outs for the running team. I freaked out and tripped over! I didn’t get on the team.

Sincerely, Speedy Gal!

I wouldn’t freak out! How lame am I? I turned another page.

7th February 2000

Dear Diary,

Today, I’m gonna meat my secret admirer, Strawberry Jam! I hope he actually likes me, and isn’t just playing a prank on me. Oh, and the Skylight Dance is today! That’s all for now!

Sincerely, Speedy Gal.

Suddenly, memories flashed before my eyes; When I met Strawberry Jam, when I came to this school, when I realised how fast I was, when I met June and Mistle. I remembered everything.

“I know who I am.” I admitted, dropping the purple book.

“Yes!” June exclaimed, jumping up and down. I thought that was pointless because she was a pegasus!

“And who I am...” I started. “Is a dork!”

“What?” Mistle gaped, her mouth open so wide it was practically touching the floor.

To be continued.
