Previous Chapter

Speedy’s P.O.V:

My roommates stared slack-jawed at me, silent, as if they were unable to speak.

“What?” I finally broke the silence.

“You’re not a dork!” June Bug yelled. I could see tears falling from her big, brown eyes.

“Yes I am!” I disagreed, shaking my head. “I’m a nerd, I didn’t have my cutie mark ‘till about a month ago, I lost it,” I pointed at my blank flank. “And I always end up PASSING OUT!”

I ran out, flapping my wings in attempt to run faster. But I already knew that was no use, since I was already the fastest pony aliv-!

“Get her!” A voice yelled. Before I could see who it was, a pony jumped on my back, making me fall onto the floor.

“Get off of me!” I protested, trying to get back up to my hooves, but it was no use. The pony on top of me must have been big!

“You can get off of her now, Rainbow.”  The pony who spoke before told. The pony got off of me, and I quickly leapt to my hooves, an angry expression on my face. I already knew there was Rainbow Dash, but aside from her, there were two other mares, but I couldn’t recognise them.

“You’re on thin ice!” Rainbow scowled at me, yanking my mane with her front hoof.

“Get offa me!” I pushed her off of me, nearly pushing her blue self to the ground.

“QUIET!” The pony who spoke before yelled, hopefully, at the top of her voice. She had a white coat, an orange, spiky mane and tail with yellow tips, a yellow lightning bolt cutie mark and yellow eyes. The other pony was bright red, had blue eyes, a yellow mane and tail and a yellow sun for a cutie ma- YELLOW SUN?

“Y-y-your c-c-cutie ma-mark is th-the sun!” I manage to get out as I leapt to my haunches in front of the red pegasus.

“Yeah!” She said proudly. Her voice sounded strong and tough, unlike the white pegasus’, who sounded mad and kind of high pitched. “I helped Princess Celestia raise the sun, thus getting me my cutie mark!” She motioned to her flank. I couldn’t help but grin and giggle like a two month old foal.

“If you two hens are finished clucking,” The white pegasus yanked me back to my hooves by my tail with her mouth. “We neeth tho thell youth thomething.”

“What?” I asked, pulling my tail out of her mouth.

“You’ve been chosen for the international school exchange.” She calmly told me.

“The what?” I asked. I wish I had a clue what it was, but I didn’t. I wished I was like my old self; always knowing everything, but I wasn’t. I wasn’t like her at all. And I would never be like her ever again.

“Ponies who do exceptionally well in a particular subject,” She started, closing her big, yellow eyes. “Like sports,” She pointed to Dash. “Astrology,” She pointed to the red pony, who smiled and looked smugly at me. “Or cloud control,” She pointed to herself and smiled as if she just won an award for best student or something. “, get transferred to another school, and that school transfers a student here.”

“So, what you’re saying is...” I started. “I’m leaving this buck-hole?” I stomped my hoof on the ground and grinned.

“I guess...” The lightning pegasus answered. It took me a while to find the appropriate way to express my joy, but in the end I decided what I should do.

“Wahoo!” I cried ecstatically. I jumped up and down in circles around the three ponies. But there was still one thing that I didn’t understand. “Why did you have to tackle me?”

“We’re leaving right now.” The red-sun pegasus explained. The three ponies grabbed hold of my front hooves and flew out, dragging me out with them.

Outside was a white carriage with two formal looking male pegasi. They both wore white suits with gold bars attaching them to the carriage. I guessed they were gonna pull us there.

“Shouldn’t I get my stuff?” I asked, not taking my eyes off the big carriage.

“They’ll send our luggage.” The red mare told me. “I’m Tough Red, by the way.”

“I’m Lightflash!” The white mare told me. The three mares pushed me into the carriage. Inside the carriage was red and velvety. There were bench like seats on the sides. I sat down on one. It was really soft. In fact, it was so soft that I couldn’t help but smile a bit.

“The school paid for the carriage!” Dash smiled as she put her hoof around my neck.

“The school must be rich!” I admitted. I clapped my hooves together and grinned in excitement.

To be continued.
