Starlight tossed and turned in her sleep she was having another bad dream, she has those a lot recently, she was in a dark room with multiple voices speaking.

You blamed cutie marks and stripped a whole village of theirs

Relax if something goes wrong Starlight will just go back in time and fix it

and when Twilight and the others stopped you, you went back in time and almost destroyed Equestria

It’s like a super villain tracker

Says the pony who tried to make everypony the same by switching everypony’s cutie marks with equal signs

Right just like when cutie marks took your friend away your magic was strong enough to enslave an entire village

Yeah ever since Starlight messed with it to go back in time and tried to change history

How is the fact that Twilight decided to put an incompetent power hungry unicorn in charge of her school MY PROBLEM!

Starlight began tearing up each sentence burned into her brain and it was hard to hear these words.

“Stop.” Starlight begged while crying.

“Why do I keep having these dreams?” Starlight asked herself.

“Ha how pathetic, you think this is a dream, that’s how they think of you Starlight.” Starlight’s clone spoke, it was manifested in her old form with her old mane style.

“Why are you here? Why do you torment me you are only my past.” Starlight asked annoyed at the evil counterpart.

“Aw poor Starlight, I should probably explain, I am Moonlight a manifestation of your guilt and you should not be surprised, your friends will only ever know you for your past and nothing but your past.” the being known as Moonlight told her.

“No they can’t.” Starlight cried out in hope.

“Really this tells me otherwise, you’re friends don’t care about you they don’t love you they only fear you and nothing else.“ Moonlight smirked menacingly.

Starlight began crying when a voice spoke.

“STOP!” Luna spoke in her Royal Canterlot voice.

Starlight began crying more as Luna came up and sighed.

“Starlight these nightmares have been going on for a long time, I know you’ve given it time but they show no signs of stopping.” Luna proclaimed.

Starlight bowed her head in shame, these nightmares have been going on for a while even before Cozy Glow’s defeat even when Luna would try and stop it, they still kept coming.

“I know Luna and I’m so sorry, I don’t know what to do, I have been having these nightmares ever since Discord called me a power hungry unicorn, it’s bad enough I still deal with those hecklers but my own friends still remind me of my past like it’s a joke.” Starlight explained.

“I see, why did Discord’s words bother you to this point?” Luna asked with a questioning tone.

“I don’t know why, they just hurt a lot I don’t blame him or any of my friends for thinking of me that way though.” Starlight said in tears.

“Well I see, I suggest you tell Princess Twilight about these dreams you’ve been having.” Luna suggested.

“I think that might be for the best.” Starlight said in shame.

Luna then left Starlight’s dream in sorrow, as Starlight woke up in her bed it was still night time but she saw no desire to sleep.

In the morning Starlight and Twilight were having a conversation about the dreams Starlight’s been having.

“And that’s why I came to talk to you.” Starlight clarified.

“Starlight I’m so sorry about that why haven’t you told me you’ve been feeling this way?” Twilight asked with remorse.

“I thought if I just waited they’d go away, but I guess they didn’t.” Starlight explained.

“Well I’ve had it I’m sleeping with you tonight I don’t care if you disagree.” Twilight decrees.

Both then looked at each other blushing before Twilight quickly added “Not like that, but you know to help you fall asleep better.”

Starlight nodded “Yeah don’t worry I know what you meant.”

“Okay good, glad we got that established. Now I’ll go check with Luna in what your nightmares might mean.” Twilight reassures before leaving Starlight by herself.

“Gulp, I hope this ends well.” Starlight said.
