Learning and Yearning

Twilight made her way to the room where the mirror was being kept, standing either side of it were two royal guards who stood at attention when Twilight entered the room.

"Your majesty!" they both said in unison and bowed before her.

Twilight rolled her eyes slightly and said "Stand down, I wish to visit the human realm, see to it that nobody follows me. If people wish to see me or question my location, see to it that everyone is informed of my whereabouts and that they must remain calm. As my adviser, Spike shall be left in charge in my absence. Is that clear?"

The guards nodded their heads and again, in perfect unison said "Yes your majesty!"

Twilight smiled "Excellent", then she carefully stepped into the portal. When Twilight came out the other side, she was surprised to find that her appearance was different since her last adventures, she was slightly older, taller, much more curvaceous and... what were those things? Twilight noted she had two odd melon-shaped things on her chest and she had absolutely no idea what they were, it was at this point that she also noticed that the portal had seen fit to give her the same clothes it always gave her, just bigger so that they fit her properly. Twilight decided to walk into Canterlot high to see if she could find anybody, but as she started walking she noticed, or rather felt, that there was another part of her body that was different. Looking behind her, she saw that her butt had also increased in size, Twilight didn't get why she was suddenly so... voluptuous.

Suddenly she heard the school bell ring and suddenly dozens of students were pouring out of the doors of the school and among them were seven girls she knew very well.

Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Sunset Shimmer and... well, herself.
The first time Twilight had met her human counterpart was a surreal experience, but after a while they got over how awkward it was, it became especially easy to tell after they had decided to call human Twilight by her name and pony Twilight by her title. From what Twilight could tell, all of the girls in this universe had suffered the same affliction she had, with the curves and enlarged body parts. As soon as Sunset lay eyes on Twilight she gasped "Hey girls! Check it out! Princess is here!"

All of the girls saw her and were immediately cheering and screaming as they all ran towards her in a group to embrace her in a big group hug. As soon as she was released she smiled and said "Hi girls, it's nice to see you too, though is something wrong?"

Sunset raised her eyebrow in confusion "Wrong? What do you mean?"

Twilight said "Well, I know that we have all gotten older and taller but, what's with the body curves, the bigger behind and these weird things on my chest?"

All of the girls giggled a little whilst Sunset rolled her eyes, the others remembered the first time Sunset started freaking out about it and had to explain it to her. Sunset leaned into Twilight's ear and whispered, as the whispering went on her eyes widened slightly, mostly in interest, but with also a slight blush that denoted embarrassment. "Oh... I see... sorry girls" Twilight said as she chuckled nervously.

Sunset Shimmer laughed and said "Don't worry about it, what brings you back after all this time anyway?"

Twilight suddenly remembered why she had come here in the first place "Oh yes! Well it's nothing too dramatic luckily, but I remember you writing to me about the horses you have in this world, while the facts you all told me were incredibly intriguing and informative, I just had to see them for myself to take some of my own study notes."

That was when Applejack came in "Well lucky you Princess! We were all about to head down to the farm to do some horse ridin' and get the breeze going through our hair, we figured it was the best time for it considerin' we got a heat wave comin' on"

A heat wave. Heat. Oh no! Heat! Twilight widened her eyes as she realized that she had completely forgotten that she was just about to go into heat before she left Canterlot and judging from what Sunset Shimmer had told her, while being in the human world changed their outward appearance it didn't actually affect their internal biology, so the heat would be hitting her full force. Twilight cursed her own bad timing, she decided the best thing to do would be to just forget about it and put it out of her mind, she couldn't foresee any circumstance where she would be engaging in any kind of sex anyway, let alone running the risk of becoming pregnant.

When Twilight realized she had been silent a little bit too long she got her mind back on track and says "That sounds perfect! Though, understandably, I won't exactly feel comfortable riding the horses. I don't suppose you'd mind if I just stay with a couple in the horse pens would you?"

Applejack said "Aw shucks sugar cube, I don't mind none! We'll all go ridin' and you can just study to your hearts content in the barn, so long as you don't feel too lonely."

Twilight chuckled, "I'm sure I'll be fine" she said. With that, all the girls waited at the bus stop until the bus to Sweet Apple Acres arrived and they got on, anxious to get down to the farm and enjoy some casual horse riding fun, well, except for Twilight who was anxious to enjoy some casual horse study.
