"Hello?"
"Good morning, Rainbow Dash."
"Hi Rarity. What's up?"
"I just made a new type of winter outfit. I thought you might like to try it first. It will keep you warm even with sporty outfits underneath."
"That sounds fun. I'll be right over."
Rainbow Dash put on her winter outfit and raced to Rarity's house with her super speed. It was a cold winter day out but she wasn't in the cold for very long before she arrived.
"I modeled the first draft after what you're wearing now," said Rarity. She lifted up a black winter coat and dark blue snowpants with rainbow lightning bolts and stripes on them. They looked thicker than what Rainbow was currently wearing.
"Those look awesome," said Rainbow Dash.
"Now, they should be so warm you could wear this underneath and not feel the slightest bit cold." Rarity held up a pair of short, pink spandex shorts and a matching sports bra.
"Rarity!" said Rainbow Dash. "What's with the pink?"
Rarity giggled mischievously. "It's not like anyone will be seeing it under your winter outfit. And even if they did, you'd look rather dashing in them. Besides, don't you use pink swim shorts?"
"Right." Rainbow blushed a little.
"So, change into the sports outfit, and then put on the new winter outfit. Today is the perfect day to test it out."
Rainbow removed her winter coat and snowpants, then walked into the bathroom with the sports outfit, and exited wearing it. The shorts were skintight but fit her perfectly.
"You look smashing," said Rarity. "Now, try this on."
Rainbow Dash put on the snowpants, and then the winter coat. Already she was feeling very warm.
"How about we run to your place first?" Rarity asked.
"Sounds good," said Rainbow Dash.
So they ran towards Rainbow's house. Rainbow found that, unlike her previous winter outfit, the thickness of these snowpants and winter coat was keeping her from running as fast as she could. She had left her geode in Rarity's bathroom; she didn't think she'd need it.
Another thing Rainbow noticed was that, despite how cold it was today, she was still very hot in this outfit, to the point that she was sweating.
They reached Rainbow's front door.
"How was it, Dashie?" Rarity asked.
"I couldn't run super fast, but hopefully my geode can fix that," she said. "And it's REALLY hot in here. I think my sports outfit is soaked in sweat."
"Would you care to have something to drink before we continue?" Rarity asked.
"You bet!" Rainbow and Rarity walked inside. Rainbow didn't bother removing her boots. Rarity looked a little miffed that Rainbow was tracking snow all over the house, but reminded herself that this was Rainbow's house.
With a bit of difficulty, Rainbow poured a glass of water, but couldn't get it as far as her mouth. She stretched as far as she could, but ended up spilling it down her front.
"May I offer assistance?" Rarity said. After wiping Rainbow's coat with a towel, she took the glass, filled it with water, and held it to Rainbow's mouth.
Rainbow drank it. She felt a bit refreshed but it wasn't enough. "Can I have two more glasses of water and four bottles of cider?"
Rarity refilled the cup twice, both times of which Rainbow drank it. Then she looked in Rainbow's fridge, picked out four bottles of cider, and held each to Rainbow's mouth. As Rainbow drank the ciders, Rarity was starting to have her doubts that this version of her new winter outfit would work.
"Much better," said Rainbow after finishing the fourth cider, and feeling refreshed. "So now what?"
"Now let's... have a snowball fight in your backyard," Rarity said, hoping Rainbow would find this fun.
"Awesome!"
They walked outside, and into Rainbow's backyard. Rainbow was still feeling hot and sweaty.
"Ready?" said Rainbow Dash. "1 2 3 go!" She reached down and tried to pick up some snow to make into a snowball, but her winter outfit wouldn't let her reach as far as the ground. Rarity pelted her with snowballs, knocking her on her back in the snow. Rainbow tried to get up, but she couldn't. Her arms and legs just wouldn't bend far enough.
Rarity stopped throwing snowballs and walked over to her. "Do you need some help?"
"I can't get up!" she said.
Rarity got her to her feet. "Hopefully... you can... get used to it?" she said.
"Hopefully." Rainbow once again reached for snowballs, and this time Rarity waited until she could start throwing them.
Then, Rainbow felt her butt itch. She tried to reach behind her and scratch it, but the thickness of her winter coat wouldn't let her. "Rarity, can you scratch my butt for me?"
"Do I have to?"
"It's really itchy and I can't scratch it myself."
Rarity walked over to Rainbow and scratched her butt, hoping she wouldn't fart on her. Though her snowpants were pretty thick, Rainbow could feel it and sighed of relief.
"That's better," she said, and Rarity walked back in front of her and waited for her to throw a snowball.
Rainbow tried for about a half hour to pick up a snowball. Eventually she was able to grab a hold of the snow on the ground with her hands... but then she fell face-first in the snow!
"Oh my," said Rarity.
Just when Rainbow was thinking this outfit couldn't get any worse, she felt an even worse urge than the itchy rear end. She had to go to the bathroom. She struggled to get up, but couldn't. "Rarity! A little help here?"
Rarity grabbed Rainbow's hands and helped her up.
Rainbow held herself and said "I'll be right back, I have to go to the bathroom." She ran towards her back door, but tripped and fell face-first in the snow again.
Rarity cringed. She was definitely thinking this outfit was too thick now. She'd have to make it thinner. She was sure she could do this easily, and started going through ideas in her mind as to how to do increase mobility while retaining a comfortable amount of heat. This outfit may not have worked, but it did at least show her what she needed to do diff-
"Hey! Rarity! I'm stuck and I really have to go!" Rainbow wasn't kidding, for all she had drank had gone through her. She fidgeted slightly. In her position she couldn't even hold herself.
"Oh." Rarity quickly ran over to Rainbow Dash and helped her up once again.
Rainbow ran into her house without any trouble this time, and Rarity followed in case she fell again. Once again Rainbow didn't take her boots off, besides, she was sure she wouldn't be able to right now. She ran into the nearest bathroom and locked the door.
The toilet was a welcome sight, for she had to pee really badly. She reached for the zipper on her winter coat... but her hands couldn't reach it. She reached as hard as she could, but it still did no good.
Well, it wasn't her coat she needed to get off, it was her snowpants. So she tried reaching under her coat for them, but, to her dismay, she couldn't reach the waist of her snowpants either. She was starting to panic. She was in desperate need of relief but couldn't get her pants down.
She frantically tried undoing her winter coat and getting her snowpants down for a half hour before she couldn't hold it anymore. A loud hissing noise was heard as Rainbow felt the crotch of her shorts and snowpants grow warm and wet. The snowpants absorbed most of the wetness, but they still were absolutely drenched on the inside, as were her shorts, though at least they had already been soaked in her sweat.
She let out a sigh of dismay as she peed like a race horse in her snowpants, and when she was finished, she walked out of the bathroom.
"Did you make it, darling?" Rarity asked.
"No," said Rainbow Dash, looking and sounding more annoyed than embarrassed. "I couldn't get this thing off!"
"My apologies," said Rarity sympathetically. "I think this may not be what I was going for."
"You think?"
Rarity could understand her frustration. "Let's get you back to my house so you can clean up and change. I promise the next one will be better."
Rainbow hoped Rarity was right. They walked back to Rarity's house, Rainbow still in her wet snowpants. Once back at Rarity's house, Rarity unzipped Rainbow's winter coat and removed it. Rainbow removed her wet snowpants, which smelled of sweat and urine, and sighed of relief at being out of this hot outfit that limited her movement. She was absolutely dripping with sweat, and both she and Rarity knew it was more than sweat on her shorts and legs.
"I'll work on a better version while you wash up," said Rarity.
"Got it." Rainbow first drank several glasses of water, for she was very thirsty again. Then she ran into the bathroom, closed the door, turned on the shower, and stepped in, still in her sporty outfit - it wasn't as though it could get any wetter, and it needed to be washed too.
She showered herself off with soap, spending extra time on her shorts, and when she was sure she was clean, she stepped out of the shower and dried herself with a towel. Her outfit was still wet but if Rarity's new winter outfit was going to be half as warm as the one she had peed in, this wouldn't matter.
She exited the bathroom and walked over to Rarity.
"Aren't you going to change?" Rarity asked.
"I'll be testing your new winter outfit soon," said Rainbow Dash. Besides, I really like... how sporty it is." She blushed a little, hoping Rarity wouldn't realize she almost said she thought the pink outfit was cute.
Rarity did, but said nothing.
Soon she finished the second draft of the winter outfit. It looked similar to the first, but no thicker than Rainbow's original winter outfit. As soon as Rainbow put it on, she immediately tried all the motions she had been unable to do before, and found she could do them with ease. She poured a glass of water and drank it no problem. It was still a little hot, but she was inside, and she wasn't sweating like she was before.
"This might be the one," Rainbow said.
"Then let's try the same exercises," said Rarity.
They ran to Rainbow's house, and Rainbow found she could run as fast as before. It still felt warm inside, but in a pleasant way this time. She really liked it.
Once in Rainbow's backyard, Rarity said "Snowball fight, Take 2!" She turned away from Rainbow and bent over to pick up a snowball, when suddenly a snowball hit her in the butt. She squealed and turned around, only for a flurry of snowballs to hit her and knock her on her back.
"I take it you can pick up snowballs easy," said Rarity with a smile. She got up and threw a snowball at Rainbow. Rainbow dodged it. She and Rarity ran around, throwing snowballs at each other, until Rarity hit Rainbow in the face with a snowball and knocked her on her back.
Rainbow was able to get up easily. Around this time her drinks from before her shower hit her. "I'll be right back," she said, and she ran to the bathroom.
She returned about two minutes later looking relieved.
"Did you make it this time?" Rarity asked.
"With lots of time to spare," said Rainbow, with a smile on her face.
Rarity also smiled, knowing that not only was Rainbow having fun, but she had perfected her new winter outfit.
