Gummy has never been the most expressive of pets. Pinkie Pie can understand him, but her friends can't at all. And most of the time that's fine, but sometimes it doesn't. Specifically problematic is Gummy's propensity for biting. Twilight says it's a potentially bad habit. Pinkie says it's just how he shows affection. In order to settle the argument, Twilight casts a spell to let Gummy speak English.

Unfortunately, Twilight still hasn't quite gotten used to the increased magical power that comes with being an Alicorn. And so whenever she casts spells she's not practiced, things tend to go wrong.

Fortunately, Pinkie Pie doesn't seem to mind this particular misfire, and neither does Gummy.
