I screamed, as the dark magic ate at my heart, as the magic overwhelmed my body.puny Twilight Sparkle and her little friends right below me. Students had left the formal to watch this spectacle, at last, I , Sunset Shimmer, could rule Equestria.
Well, not for long.
I destroyed the front of the school with my new magic, and mind controlled the students to do my personal bidding. Twilight and her stupid little friends tried to stop me.
I had to do something.
Kill them
I shot a powerful ball of magic at them, but they glowed pink.
They talked about some shit waffle about Friendship is Magic.
Finally, they drew magic from the crown, a rainbow swirling around me, as I landed in a pit, my leather jacket torn up the arm.
“I’m sorry.” I wept. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know there was another way.”
Twilight looked at me sympathetically. She knew what I was feeling.
She wanted me to be friends with the 5 students I hurt most.

Sunset POV
I wiped the streaming tears down my face with the back of my hand, trying to fix the wall I had destroyed.
I heard a rustling behind me. I turned, to see Rainbow Dash picking up her jacket from the floor. “Hey,” she said.
“Do you want some help?” asked Rarity, kindly.
“You’re just a charity case.” I muttered. “Princess Twilight wanted you to be friends with me because she felt sorry for me.”
“Nonsense!” cried Applejack. “Don’t be stupid, Sunset. Of course we want to be friends with you. If you’re up for it.”
“I -I just never really had friends of my own,” I stammered quietly. “I was cast out, invisible during my time in Equestria. I’m sorry. All of you. Especially, you, Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy surprised me by hugging me. “I forgive you.” she said in her usual soft meek voice. “I know what it was like to be invisible.”
Pinkie held out 6 trowels. “Come on!”she cried, throwing me one. I caught it in surprise. “Let’s get this party started!”

Sunset POV
Pinkie heaved a huge wheel barrow of cement in the middle of the 6 of us. She spreaded the cement onto the bricks like it was bread and butter, before sticking it to the wall, stuck like glue.
I giggled a little, helping to do my part too.
It felt like what, 30 minutes, working together.
It was actually about 3 hours.
“Party?” suggested Pinkie Pie. “Welcome Sunset!”
I shook my head. “No thanks,” I said. “I’m gonna go home. See you tomorrow!”
I smiled. My 5 new friends really meant what they said.

I walked into the mall, when I heard my name. I turned to see Pinkie Pie waving at me, signalling me to come over to sit with them. I skipped over to the table where they were, Pinkie greeting me with a bone crushing hug.
Fluttershy laid a hand on her shoulder, easing her away from me. “Maybe let her rest,” she said quietly.
“So what’s new?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“We only spoke last night,” I said. “And to be honest, I don’t know. Thanks so much for saving me.”
“Darling,” said Rarity, looking up. “You’re not a charity case. I think you know Rainbow’s story?”
I nodded.
“Yeah.” said Rainbow Dash. “I was a bitch.”
“So what about we go to each other’s houses and teach Sunset new things?” suggested Pinkie Pie.
“That sounds great,” said Applejack. “I’d be sure to let Granny Smith know.”
I inclined my head briefly.
“Mine first!” shouted Rainbow Dash. “First dibs!”
We laughed. It felt good to be included in laughter.

RD teaches me video games and I help her with homework
Rainbow Dash and I were sitting on her sofa. “So watcha wanna do?” she asked. “Video games, homework...”
“Er,” I said. “Erm...”
“We have a test on Monday,” said Rarity. “Let’s do some work.”
“Physics.” I said, nodding at Rarity.
I took out my physics folder out of my bag. “Forces.” said Rainbow Dash, groaning. “I fucking hate forces.”
“Language.” hissed Rarity.
I sat with Rainbow Dash, trying to explain the terminal velocity. Her face was blank, blank as a sheet of paper.
“Okay, now games?” she whined.
“You’re on.” said Applejack.
I watched Applejack and Rainbow Dash play a video game(power ponies) and watch them race, to see who could beat each other.
Rainbow switched the game off.
“Hey!” shouted Applejack. “I was gonna beat ya!”
“I doubt it,” bragged Rainbow Dash. “No one can beat me!”
“Just you wait.” growled Applejack. “I will beat you, Rainbow.”
“Bets!” sang Pinkie Pie. “Bet on who will win!”
I rolled my eyes. This was getting Ridiculous.

Applejack teaches me farming and Rarity makes me a new jacket
Rarity pursed her lips when she saw the state of my leather jacket.
“Sunset.” she said. “I shall fix that for you.”
“Are you sure?” I asked. “How should I repay you?”
Rarity smiled. “No need to, dear. Just being a good friend is a good enough repayment.”
I hugged Rarity gratefully. “Thanks.” I said quietly.
Applejack leaned against the wall, handing me a basket.
“Alright.” she said. “Y’all be working with me, while Bloom will be workin’ with Mac. You okay with that?”
I nodded.
After about 3 hours of good hard work, I felt exhausted. I had never worked so hard in my life.
Fluttershy led me into the animal shelter, where homeless animals lived.
“So this is the animal shelter,” explained Fluttershy. “Our friends brought their pets from here, you know. You can call up the shelter and tell them there’s an abandoned animal on the street. Do you wanna work with me? We need more volenteers to look after them.”
I smiled. “That sounds... nice.” I said. “I’ll help.”
Fluttershy grinned at me. “Thanks.” she said. “They really appreciate it.”
Pinkie Pie switched on the light as I came in to her living room. My new friends were standing there. Pinkie threw herself on to me, giving me a hug.
She let go of me, scoffing a piece of pizza. I sat down, next to Rarity. She smiled at me, handing me my leather jacket. “Thanks.” I said.
She took a slice, and passed it to me, before taking one herself.
At last, I felt included.
At last, I had friends.
At last, I was happy.
Twilight Sparkle(equestria twi) pov
My new friends and I ran into the parking lot. Snips and Snails skidded past the portal, as Sunset Shimmer, my arch enemy, stepped out of the shadows. She had a sledge hammer by her feet, and Spike was struggling in Snips’s arms.
“Twilight!” he shouted.
“Don’t hurt him!” I cried.
“Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it,” sneered Sunset. “I’m not a monster, Twilight.” She turned to her two lackies, Snips and Snails. “Let him go.”
Spike bounded in to my open arms. I held him tight against my chest, never wanting to lose him. “You don’t belong here,” continued Sunset. “Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight. Or keep it, and never go home. Tick tock, Twilight, we haven’t got all night. The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So. What’s your answer?”
“No ,” I said.
“WHAT?!” shrieked Sunset. “Equestria! Your friends, lost to you forever! Don’t you see what i am about to do to the portal?!”
“yes,” I said calmly, but inside I was bubbling with rage. “But i’ve also seen what you can do without magic. Equestria can survive without my element of harmony. This place might not, if I let it fall into your hands. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. YOU. ARE. NOT. GETTING. THIS. CROWN!”
She dropped the sledge hammer with a crash. “Fine.” she snarled. “You win.”
“You. Are. So. AWESOME !” yelled Rainbow Dash.
“I can’t believe you were gonna do that fer us!” cried Applejack.
“It’s no wonder you’re a real live princess,” said Rarity.
“Oh yes,” sneered Sunset. “She’s so very special.”
She turned to the 2 boys. “GRAB HIM YOU FOOLS!”
Spike grabbed the crown in his mouth, throwing it to the girls. I caught it, before accidently throwing it to Sunset Shimmer. I turned to see her put the crown on her arrogant red-gold hair, before a column of air rose up around her.
