Multiverse gangs up on Equestria
The Declaration of War
Previous ChapterNext ChapterNicholas walked through the halls of the ship, the dark metals lining the walls creaking ever so slightly. In his hands he held a piece of paper containing his speech. He was in no way prepared for this. Nothing could have. Upon hearing the news he hardly believed it himself until they showed him the body. His longtime friend and ally had died at the hands of those...Ponies. It made him shake with rage at even the thought of the name of those wretched creatures. He never liked them in the first place, considering their obsession with so-called friendship. It was ironic that they always went on about that yet had no problem killing other creatures friends. And while he did wipe out the ponies that did the deed, he wasn't satisfied.
He wanted to kill more. He shook himself out of his violent thoughts as he reached a door, breathing in a deep breath before opening it to reveal the bridge. Every crew member immediately turned to face him, saluting. He didn't care for the salutes. He didn't deserve them. He wasn't even supposed to be captain. Regardless he nodded to them before walking to the comm table.
"Open a channel." He said, not even turning to face the comms engineer.
"With who sir?" He asked, his hand hovering over the frequency dial.
Nicholas stood there in silence for a moment, the reality of the situation seeming to somehow smash into him.
"Everyone." He said, the anger still burning inside him.
The engineer hesitated for a moment before replying with a quick, "Yes sir." As he started turnign the dials, tapping some buttons along the way. His hand hovered over the activation button for a moment before pressing down, the results being almost immediate. With a confirming nod from the engineer that they were live he took another deep breath before speaking...
Raynor sat in the Hyperion's cantina, sipping away at the barkeep's famous beer. He was slapped out of his idle thoughts however as the speakers in the corners of the roof suddenly whined to life.
"People of the Multiverse." It said, echoing throughout the ship.
He knew that voice though, staying still as he began listening to the broadcast. By the looks of it though he was adressing the Multiverse. Raynor had only known about the Multiverse for a while now, and it took him a while ot come to terms with the fact that there were millions of other Raynor's out there.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the death of Anonymous the Messenger."
Raynor spat out his drink mid sip, turning to face the speaker in disbelief.
"He was killed by the race known as Ponies." He said the last part with venom in his voice, his anger very noticeable through the speaker.
"Therefore, in the name of vengeance I herebye on behalf of this ship, that we declare war on Equestria." It said, causing some of the inhabitants of the cantina to cheer.
"We also call upon everyone to do the same, afterall we can't cover every Equestria at once." The cheers and crys for vengeance only grew with each word, with everyone, including Raynor standing up.
"You do not have to, but in the case that you do, we are sending you the coordinates and means to get you to your nearest Equis." The speaker fell silent for a second, the angry shouts reaching deafening levels.
"Go give them hell."
With those words, Raynor sprung into action pressing the earpiece in his ear, "Matt, set course for Equis, we got some ponies to kill."
Masterchief smashed a metal hand into the stonewall beside him, the broadcast still echoing in his mind. Noting the lack of plasma fire coming his way, he turned towards the covenant he had been firing to find them simply staring silently at either the ground or him. It appeared that they too had recieved the transmission. Dropping his rifle he walked towards one of the elites that was looking at him. The elite tensed up at first before relaxing slightly as Masterchief held his hands up. Continuing forward he stopped just in front of the elite, extending his hand.
"I think we can both agree that they need to die." He said, the elite looking at his hand in thought. Finally, after what felt like hours, the elite shook Chief's hand, looking him in the eye.
"Do not think this is over demon." It said, shocking chief slightly with it's english, "We only do this for the Messenger."
Nodding, Chief let go of it's hand before turning back to pick up his dropped rifle.
"Time to kill some ponies..."
He floated around in the blackness, it being all he had known for thousands of years. It was strange how time worked here, as he was aware of the day and night yet there were no visible signs of any of them. He could also view the world in his mind, as well as view it's past and future. He had forgotten his original name long ago, having no need of it. In here the only one you oculd talk to was the occasional banished soul and even they didn't talk much. He brought up a phantom hand to an invisible chin. He was deeply embroiled in anger at the recent events, said anger being pointed at the ponies of his universe. Of course he had no reason to, the ones who commited the offence were long dead, yet he just couldn't help it. He had to be mad at someone and there just so happened to be a perfectly untouched pony world that he was already mad at.
"Welp, guess if I'm gonna return I might as well do it now." He said, floating towards his current goal.
Paarthunax sat on his mountain, mulling over the recent news. The ponies had killed Anonymous, and now everyone wanted to attack them. In reality he didn't really have much choice in the matter, his control over the dragons already being fragile enough. It wasn't even the dragons that wanted revenge, the various races of Tamriel also wanted to attack them. Of course, neither could succeed without the other, with the races having the numbers, and the dragons having the strength. Another dragon suddenly flew up to him, bowing as he landed.
"My lord, have you made your decision yet?" He asked.
"Yes, but first we shall consult the races." Paarthunax said, preparing to fly.
"No need my lord, they have already given the all clear." The dragon said.
Paarthunax sighed, halting his ascent. He didn't really see the need to take such radical action against the ponies, especially ones who didn't have anything to do with it. However he didn't have choice now that the races and his dragons wanted to go. "Then we go to war." He said, staring down at the young dragon.
Said dragon bowed deeper, a fire in his eyes. "To war..."
