Chapter 5: A Pony X Human Love Story

Andrew slowly walked from behind the throne and slowly approached Rarity who was still sobbing. Andrew at first had no idea what to say to her. It was his first time talking to an actual pony. He at first didn’t want to say anything due to his nightmare. But he realized that the ponies couldn’t possibly be that bad. “Um… hello?” Andrew said to Rarity. She suddenly stopped sobbing and looked up and Andrew.

“ALEXANDER YOU’RE OKA-“

Rarity suddenly stopped and looked at Andrew and realized he wasn’t Alex.
“Wait a minute, you’re not Alexander!” Rarity said, realizing she had chased the wrong human as she blushed bright pink. “Who are you?”

“My name is Andrew…” Andrew replied. “Why were you crying?”

“It’s…b-because…” Rarity sniffed. “My poor Alexander is gone!”

“Well, I know you want him badly…” Andrew said. “But he told me how you were trying to make him your so-called prized pet. And I won’t lie, that is really messed up. Why are you trying to make him your pet?”

Rarity sighed. “You see, darling. When I first met Alexander, he crashed through my roof and accidentally destroyed one of my dresses I was going to wear. I may have yelled at him for a bit, but after that, I hid him from Pinkie and decided that he could become my pet and replace the dress…”

“Well… couldn’t you have just fixed the parts he destroyed?” Andrew asked her.

“I suppose I could’ve actually done that…” Rarity said in realization. “He just looked so lost and frightened I just didn’t have the heart to let him go. he was so scared.”

Andrew looked at Rarity with a bit of sadness in his face, he knew the ponies felt like villains to him and Alex, but are they actually villains?

“Rarity….” Andrew replied. “I don’t know what to say. I understand why now. But I do believe that when you said Alex was going to be your pet, he must’ve thought you were going to make him do tricks like a dog.”

“Wh-Why I would never do something like that!” Rarity exclaimed. “I find that very uncouth to do to someone like him!”

“Well then maybe you shouldn’t call him your pet then.” Andrew replied. “Make him more of your friend instead.”

Rarity looked at Andrew with happiness in her eyes. Andrew was right. Having Alex as a pet didn’t sound right. She decided she would have her become her friend instead. Rarity hugged Andrew in response.

“Thank you, Andrew.” Rarity said to him. “I promise I won’t chase you anymore. But I may have to protect you from the other ponies however.”

“Well, however you do it, I hope the other ponies don’t find us!” Andrew said.

As Andrew and Rarity left the Castle of Everfree, a telescope suddenly appeared out of a nearby bush and it looked at the two. “So… the ponies want these humans eh?” A voice said from the bush, then so can I! Until then, I’ll have to wait for now…

Andrew couldn’t help but have a sudden sense of longing. ‘Rarity is undoubtedly the most beautiful and generous pony I’ve ever known. But the idea of me and her being a couple...? No… Rarity’s a serious mare. She would never pass up a good-looking stallion for someone like me...’ He sighed. ‘Well… One can only dream…’

Rarity on the other hand looked at Andrew, she seemed saddened for a brief moment. ‘A romantic dinner date would’ve been nice. He is quite the looker. For a human…’ She sighed. ‘I suppose I’ll just take things slowly and give him some time to warm up to me. Then maybe…’ She smiled hopefully as she continued up with him.

‘Poor Spike…’ she giggled. ‘I suppose I’ll have to break to him gently…’
