I saw her....

I wasn't fast enough. The wolves were already done, and they killed their prey.

A little girl suffered a very painful and slow death, and I wasn't fast enough to help. After some years of not seeing any of my species. It was hard on me REALLY hard, and I couldn't take it anymore. I killed the wolves that mauled her to a slow death.

I picked the mauled body feeling sick and disgusted. I sat the cold body of what used to be a little angel down gently and began to dig on a clear spot slowly. I was thinking about what had happened to me since the start. Since I transported to Equestria.

"When did it all went downhill?." I questioned myself.

"When did it all go wrong?."

I picked up the body and buried it. I sat down near the slightly risen pile of dirt, staring at it like an idiot.

I can't handle it anymore I've been holding all of what's been happening to me too much. I couldn't take it anymore and began to cry. I never cried like this in my life. It was like I was numb all of this time, and just about now all of the weight came down to me all in one go.

"If only I had a second chance." I said while sobbing.

I laid down and threw my hand on my face.

"What would you do if you had a second chance?." A voice of a little girl asked.

In an instant, Mike jumped to his feet and looked in the direction from which the voice came. His eyes widened at what was in front of him. He was completely silent. The girl that he just buried was standing in a clean white dress like she never was buried in dirt, her wounds were gone, her eyes were glowing in a white glow.

"Who are you?." Mike said trying to look calm and collected little did he know if anyone was wise enough he could've heard the fear in his voice.

"I'm just like you. A leveler." She said with a smile.

Mike had many questions on his mind that he wanted to ask, but something was holding him. His fear, he didn't know why he was scared, but he felt it he felt fright. He didn't want to do anything stupid because whatever was driving his fight or flight instinct wasn't normal. His perception stat was a little high to know whoever she was, she is not the kid she looks like.

"Why are you scared?. Is my form too ugly?. Or is it that you know what awaits you if you did anything." She said the last sentence with a cold tone which made Mike shudder. However, he remained silent.

"You said you wanted a chance didn't you?." The girl asked. Mike simply nodded at her question.

"I will grant you one because you're pitiful." She said.

"What's the catch?." Mike asked.

"Oh, there is no catch little Mike. All I want in return is for you to promise me one thing." She said.

"What do you want," Mike said.

"This body isn't mine. I have simply taken it as a vessel for talk to you. I will send this body with you. All I want is for you to take care of her, raise her, and train her because she is a leveler like us." She said.

Mike remained silent for a moment.

"Was this all Luna's plan?." Mike asked.

"Oh no Luna had a different plan I was the one that had taken you and sent you here." She said.

"Where do you plan to send me then?." Mike asked.

"Oh, I will send you to the beginning of it all." She said with a smile

"What do yo-"

Mike was cut off when the girl snapped her fingers and he fell unconscious.

When Mike's mind decided that it had enough sleep he jolted awake.

He immediately took his surroundings.

"That's the everfree." Mike said to himself.

"Yeah, it is." The girl's voice said from behind him.

He turned around and looked at the girl.

"So this is where I will leave you. Remember my request." She said as the white glow disappeared from the girl's eyes instead Mike was greeted with deep blue irises that looked at him with fear.

"Is this heaven?." The girl asked.

Mike sat down and looked at the girl.

"No, it's not. What's your name.?" Mike said.

"My name is Emily. Who are you?." Emily asked.

"I'm Mike. So... What do you remember exactly." Mike said.

Emily told her story to Mike. How she died because of cancer, Then she woke up in what Mike assumed was the Savanah. How she lived there for a few months living on fruits, sleeping in a cave. How on her last memory was being surrounded by wolves.

"Okay, then you don't have to be scared anymore. Until you can defend yourself you will be staying with me." Mike said after listening to her story.

"So I will live in the forest!." Emily said.

That's when Mike began thinking.

'I can't let her live in the forest she's just a little girl. however my other options are the castle, which isn't safe too, and ponyville which is my best option, but I'm afraid of what their reactions would be. After all, I killed their princess.'

Mike kept thinking.

"Ah fuck it." He said and looked at the girl.

"There is a village nearby we will go there." He said and picked the girl up.

"HEY PUT ME DOWN!." Emily screamed.

"Don't yell this is for your safety and for us to go there faster."

He channeled his mana around the girl keeping her in place, then he created wings. With his fire shooting from both his legs and arms to fly so he could see where ponyville was.

"Wow... how did you do this?." Emily asked mesmerized by his ability to fly.

Mike didn't answer her and kept flying. When he saw that he saw close to ponyville he landed on the ground and continued the rest of the way walking. Entering ponyville borders. Mike wanted to go to the market, but he had no bits to purchase anything for Emily. Mike was interrupted from his thoughts when he heard s scream.

"EVERYPONY RUN A MONSTER CAME FROM THE EVERFREE I SAW IT!." He heard a mare scream.

"Why did she call you a monster?." Emily asked.

"Of course they would say I'm a monster." Mike whispered to himself.

Everypony ran to their homes and closed the doors. However, Mike expected that. So he sat down and waited for either the elements or the guards to show up. He was hopeful he could convince them to leave him alone for the sake of Emily. That was when he saw a rainbow trail coming his way. He knew who was coming for him so he hardened his body and covered Emily in a protective shield of mana.

Rainbow dash clashed with Mike only to bounce off him to the ground.

"Heh.. I didn't taste the rainbow." Mike joked to himself.

Rainbow stood up and glared at Mike.

"WHO ARE YOU!." Rainbow dash screamed and began preparing to charge again.

"What do you mean who am I?." Mike said as he raised an eyebrow.

Rainbow dash stopped and looked at Mike.

"You can speak?." She asked.

"Of course I can speak, and why did you ask who I was I'm sure as hell yo-" Mike stopped talking when realization hit him.

'If she didn't remember me that means one thing. She sent me back in time before I knew them.'

"Sorry to scare you guys. I'm Mike and this is my daughter Emily." Mike lied.

Standing up he offered a hand towards rainbow dash. Rainbow took the hand and they shook.

"I'm sorry if I scared the ponies here I was told that there is a town nearby and I'm looking for a house." Mike said.

"Why in the hay did you come from the everfree then?." Rainbow dash asked.

The town ponies began coming out from their houses looking at Mike with mixed feelings.

"Oh, I was lost in this forest. Would you be kind enough and tell me. Is this ponnyville?." Mike asked.

"Yes, it is. I'm Rainbow Dash fastest flier in Equestria." She said with an amount of cockiness that wasn't healthy.

"Nice to meet you Rainbow dash. Hey, Emily say hi." Mike said.

"Hellow Rainbow Dash I'm Emily." She said with a cute smile.

The rest of the elements were about to reach Mike. So he said farewell and began walking away wanting to avoid Applejack and her ability to detect lies. Mike put Emily down and took her hand, and they walked together.

"Look whoever asks you act like I'm your dad." Mike whispered to Emily.

"Okay." Emily replied.

Now to get the town to warm up to us let's act friendly. Mike went to one of the recently returned shop owner.

"Hi, there miss. Could you tell me where I could find a library here?." Mike asked despite knowing the answer.

"Oh, it's down the steer on your right, and sorry for running away earlier I haven't seen anything like you before." She said.

Mike simply nodded with a toothless smile and went to the library.

When he reached the library. As he was about to knock a cough from behind distracted him. So Mike turned around and looked at Twilight, and she was wingless. That only confirmed his thought about being sent back in time.

"Well hello there miss." Mike said.

"Hi, I'm Twilight sparkle I work at this library. Do you want something?." Twilight asked.

"Well yes, My daughter wants to read some books about magic. So I wanted to drop her here and do something." Mike said.

Twilight looked at Emily and smiled at her.

"Why do you want to learn about magic?." Twilight asked.

Mike wasn't expecting a direct question to the girl so he was nervous about her answer.

"Because I want to be like daddy." Emily said in a cheerful tone.

"What do-" Twilight was cut off when Mike spoke in a louder manner.

"I believe it's best if I go. Am I safe to assume that Emily will be in good ha- hooves?." Mike said.

"Don't worry sir she is in good hooves." Twilight said.

"Where are you going daddy?." Emily asked.

"I will go to the forest and be back. I won't take long don't worry." Mike said.

"What do you mean go into the forest are you crazy!." Twilight said.

"Now miss sparkle I don't want to be rude, but I think that is none of your business." Mike said with a deeper cold voice.

Twilight didn't say anything and Mike went into the store to look for somepony. As Mike was walking it was apparent that he was being stalked by Rainbow dash it appears like she doesn't trust him yet. Mike ignored her however and focused on the important stuff like looking for Mrs, Rich. Seems like history is repeating itself as Mike was planning to sell manticore bones again.

Mike made a deal with Mrs.Rich for every kilo of bones it will be 200 bits with a 50% interest. Now it was time to collect the bones so wanted to go to the everfree, But fate had another plan because Mike saw Applejack and Rarity running around the market. Mike remembered his first few days here and how he found the fillies in the everfree.

Mike ran towards the everfree with a speed that surprised Rainbow dash. To the normal pony or human Mike was looking for the fillies for humane reasons. To Mike, however, he was planning to save them for his own benefit, because getting into the elements good side will save him some trouble. Once he entered the forest and was out of sight he began getting faster and focusing on any sounds that may lead him to the fillies. Eventually, he heard one of them scream in the distance, so he went faster than sound creating a sonic boom.

Mike reached the fillies, but this time he didn't plan to kill whatever was threatening them he wanted to grab them and run, because he didn't want the elements to know just how deadly he is...yet. So when he reached them they were almost cornered by the manticore. Mike channeled ethereal arms that grabbed the fillies and holding them in place and bolted the hell out. reaching the entrance to ponyville he saw the elements gathered and ready to go into the everfree. when they saw him holding the fillies with his magical arms Applejack and Rainbow dash charged while twilight charged her horn.

"OH, thank god I found you guys." Mike said while acting to be tired and began panting.

Mike sat down and looked at the elements.

"I found these fillies in the forest. They were cornered by a manticore." Mike said. Pointing to the fillies at his back with his thumb.

The elements took a look of shock. Mike lowered the fillies to the ground and looked at them.

"You guys alright?." Mike asked. Which they nodded still in shock about what happened.

"Good." Mike said and he stood up looking at the elements.

Mike saw Rarity hug Sweetie belle while Applejack came to Mike and took off her hat.

"Thank' ya kindly. Ah apologize Ah thought ye did somethin' to the fillies Ah was about to charge ya." Applejack said and gave Mike a smile.

"No problem miss.." Mike said.

"Applejack. An' these are mah friends. Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, And ya already know Twilight an' Rainbow dash."

Mike was about to say something when Pinkie decided she would jump on him.

"HiI'mPinkiepiethankyouforsavingthefilliesheydoyoulikepartieswhatsyourfavouritecolouranddoyoulikecupcakes." Pinkie pie said.

Mike remained silent and stared at her.

"What can't you speak?." Pinkie pie asked, and she grabbed his chin with her hoof.

When she opened his mouth her eyes widened and she jumped off him.

"What's wrong pinkie?" Twilight asked.

"His teeth are scary." Said pinkie pie as she stared at his mouth. The look of those very sharp teeth burned into her memory.

Twilight looked at Mike with a puzzled look.

"What do you mean his teeth look scary." Twilight said as she grabbed Mike lips with her magic and parted them revealing his teeth.

All of their eyes widened except for Fluttershy she looked at it normally.

It was time for Mike to act.

"I will ignore just how rude of you to go into my personal space and toy with my body like I'm just an animal." Mike said angerly.

"If this happens again. Remember that I will take it as a personal assault and won't let it go easily." Mike's brows furrowed.

"Oh Celestia I'm sorry Mr. Mike I didn't mean to be rude." Twilight said with a sheepish smile.

"Don't worry about it." Mike said.

"Ummm.. Does that mean Mike eats meat." Scootaloo said as her face became green in color.

"Actually I can eat both plants and meat." Mike said.

"Oh, you're an omnivore." Twilight said.

"Yes, I am." Mike said.

"That's not important right now. Ah want to thank ya for saving those fillies. Ah would like ya to come eat lunch with mah family." Applejack said.

"No, I don't want to be rude. However, do you know a place I can get quick money I want a place to sleep in tonight." Mike said.

"Hmmm..." Applejack looked at Mike and she began inspecting his body.

"Ye have a fair share of muscle on ya. Do you think you can buck a tree?." Applejack asked.

"I think I can." Mike said.

"Well if ya come with me to sweet apple acres Ah will give ya 50 bits for every tree you buck. How does that sound?." Applejack said.

"Not a bad offer at all." Mike said.

Mike was walking with applejack in sweet apple acres. She explained to him how to buck them and where to collect them. Mike and applejack walked to the first tree. Applejack wanted to see his bucking ability.

On the way she asked a question.

"Nice daughter ya got there." Applejack said.

"Yeah, she's a curious one." Mike said.

"Where's her mother?. Didn't she come." Applejack asked.

'I can't lie to her she can tell. I will make her drop the subject.' Mike thought.

He lowered his head a little and placed a little frown on his face, keeping quiet all the while.

Applejack noticed his reaction.

"Ahm sorry didn't mean anything." Applejack said.

"Don't worry about it." Mike said and they continued their walk to the tree.

They reached the tree and applejack told Mike to buck it. Mike looked at the tree and secured a net to catch the falling apples with his mana. Mike proceeded to kick the tree making all the apples fall in collecting them.

Applejack whistled. "Ya got a strong buck there fella'."

"Well Ah'll be in tha barn if ya need me." Applejack said as she left Mike alone.

Mike got 30 trees. He could get all of the fields, but he didn't want to kill the family financially. Mike walked with the apples in his mana and got to the warehouse putting all the apples in barrels. That's when Applejack came into the warehouse.

"That's a lotta apples. How many trees did ya buck?." Applejack asked.

"Thirty." Mike said.

"Can I get my payment now. Please." Mike said.

"Why don't ya join us with dinner?." Applejack said.

"I don't want to come off as rude, but I'm in a hurry." Mike said.

Applejack paid Mike the 1500 bits. Mike left the farm heading to the town market. He wanted to buy a pouch so he could store the money. He was getting some looks, some stares, some whispers and to top it off some yelled when they saw him. Mike didn't care about them, what he cared about was the fucking pouch that none seemed to sell. after a while, he bought a saddlebag. Now it was time to head for the library to check on Emily.

"I hope she didn't cause any trouble." Mike said as he stood in front of the library door
