TWILIGHT :

The castle guards of canterlot were rallying strengthening the perimeter and making weapons in case the rebels broke through the canterlot castle gates and came for her or her friends.

Twilight thought back to when the rebellion was simply a rumor in the wind only a month ago. And how the chaos and the power of this rebellion came out of nowhere and managed to rally 3 quarters of equestria and there allies citizen’s in only a month.

Since Starlight had turned on them and restarted her quest for equality things had gotten bad. But this time she didn’t want to remove cutie marks but instead wanted to remove royals and those who thought of themselves as superior as she called it.

And thanks to Starlight’s speeches and the shoddy leadership of the 2 princess sisters and now Twilight most of the ponies and others citizens of the newly United equestria agreed with her.

While most accepted that Starlight had just snapped and gone crazy again her friends included. One thing was nagged at Twilight.

Why? And why now? After all these years being reformed did she restart this insanity? Twilight questioned in her mind constantly trying to figure it out.

“Princess?” Her Steel Helm her head guard asked knocking on her door and snapping Twilight out of her thoughts.

“Yes?” Twilight asked

“We just received word from the scout’s Starlight is held up in a camp in appleloosa. Her troops haven’t seen her in over a week.” Steel Helm reported in a stern tone.

“I see... you can go” Twilight told him her tone giving away that her mind was distant and her demeanor was sad and disturbed.

“Princess if I may?” Steel Helm questioned.

“You may” Twilight said as respectfully as possible.

“You can’t change ponies who don’t wanna be changed” Steel Helm stated in complete seriousness.

Twilight only barely heard him still lost in her own thoughts whilst staring out the window at the gate and seeing the still burning torches of the rebels outside the gate waiting for a break in the guard’s perimeter.
Her thoughts still focused on Starlight her once prized student and dear friend.

CELESTIA AND LUNA :

We’re just chilling on the beach of silver shoals getting a tan. Luna was currently reading a romance fanfiction titled mistress Nightmare Moon and Sombra the gentlecolt of romance.

Luna knew it was a trashy fanfiction novel she bought off the black market and to be honest the author Reactception sucked but the plot was decent so she ignored the spelling errors and grammatical issues and read onward since there was nothing better to do.

Meanwhile Celestia laid on the other side of the beach tanning in the sun and napping peacefully.

The only thing celestia seemed to do anymore at least in Luna’s opinion. While Luna was reading she suddenly had a better idea.

It’d been over a year since she’d visited the dream world and she missed it. So why the Tartarus wouldn’t see.

She activated her magic and the darkness of the dream world appeared around them as the black consumed everything around her. Even though she’d done it hundreds of times and knew she was really getting transported to the dream world she always had the tiniest fear that the world around would actually disappear leaving her alone. In a dark abyss... in the moon... forever in the endless darkness she was in for a thousand years.

And usually she found comfort once the dreams appeared around her. That was not the case this time she was greeted with screams of terror, suffering cities burning and battle grounds.

She drifted from dream to dream trying to settle them but even her magic couldn’t sate the fear and bloodlust of the dreams.

She tried to help hundreds of creatures dreams. But no matter how hard she tried there emotions were too out of control.

She was considering cutting her losses and going to wake up her sister so they could address the issues in the waking world and go aid Twilight with whatever the issue was.

When suddenly she heard a small voice calling for help from one of the dreams. It was desperate like all the others but instead of being loud and angry or full of fear and cornered. This voice was small scared and full of sadness and pain.

Luna traced the voice to a small dreamscape which only had a small birdcage with one pony in it the “cause” of all this contention. The one Starlight Glimmer was sitting in cage sobbing try to call for help through her sobs.

As much as Luna didn’t want to help the little pony she found herself unable to ignore a pony in so much pain.

“Feeling guilty for thine evil starlight?” Luna quickly asks in a cold tone of voice.

“Luna?” Starlights asks as she looks up her eyes bloodshot her voice cracked and mane in a state of chaos.

“Yes Starlight it tis me” Luna declares in a steady tone of coldness distain.

“Help me” she said just above a whisper just barely lifting her head again to look Luna in the eyes.

That’s when Luna saw it a rock had been hollowed out and carved into the shape of a horn and place over starlights horn like some kind of sheath.

And though it was only a dream Luna could tell her magic was being suppressed by the vile instrument.

“Starlight who did this to you?” Luna ask in genuine shock and horror.

“I don’t know her name but she’s a yellow mare with a magenta mane and a streak of white” Starlight whimpered in pure agony and pain.

“I’ll find this pony and stop her” Luna declared in a haughty tone.

“You have to run. Their coming for you. Get out of
Silver Shoals is going to be attacked the rebels care coming to capture you.” Starlight barely managed to finish the warning before getting woken up and sucked into the waking world.

Luna was sure now that Starlight was being manipulated somehow and wasn’t the one responsible for the bloodshed and violence that she had seen in the dreams of the other creatures in equestria and the surrounding lands.

But more pressing the perpetrators of the violence were coming for her and her sister.
Luna rushed to transport herself out of the dream world and into the waking world.

She popped out of the dream world right next to her sister and rushed over shaking her sister to wake her out of her dreamless sleep.

“Ummm Luna 5 more minutes” Celestia groaned in annoyance and tiredness.

“Celestia I don’t have time to force you awake today. We gotta go!” Luna yelled shaking her sister even harder then before.

“What the buck is it bitch?” Celestia exclaims angrily as her eyes shooting open and shooting daggers at Luna’s worry filled face.

Upon seeing the genuine worry on Luna’s face Celestia instantly softened.

“What is it sister?” Celestia asked in a softened tone of voice full of concern and interest

“Bad ponies are coming for us. *a pause as Luna collected her breath* we need to get back to canterlot I have information to give Twilight.” Luna Exclaims breathless from expending so much energy in the dream world.

Celestia stared at her sister in bewilderment and concern and muttered “what?”

That’s when they heard it about a hundred hoof steps coming from the resort town known as Silver Shoals towards their remote beach.

As Celestia looked at the hill at the end of the beach she saw an entire army of ponies wielding weapons and bearing flags with equal signs on them.

As the marched over the hill one of the stallions stepped forward and and spoke in a deep voice.

“Behold are once tyrant princesses and the destroyers of are peace and our equality.
They are the cause of our problems they only cause problems.
But don’t fear them they shall be punished for their evil and inability to bring anything but suffering.
Today the princesses tomorrow canterlot.” As he finished his obviously well rehearsed speech he was met with thunderous cheering and and hooves being pumped into the air.

“What?” Celestia muttered in genuine confusion and disbelief.

And without another word the army of rebels surged forward towards the princesses preparing there weapons.

“Sister go to Twilight and help her. I shall hold them off” Luna announces in earnest flying off towards the army.

“No I won’t let you do it alone sister” Celestia says as she takes off after Luna towards the approaching army.

THE MAIN 6 :

After the others had pulled Twilight out of her room and thoughts. They were having a meeting in the throne room and trying to figure out how to handle the rebellion.

An argument started within the group : Rainbow Dash, Rarity and the guards all wanting to fight. While Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy wanted to find a peaceful solution. And Twilight was so distracted by her thoughts she didn’t side with anyone.

Their bickering was soon interrupted by Steel Helm rushing into the throne room yelling.

“Princess the rebels have doubled their numbers right outside the gates and more of them keep showing up at our wall’s ” Steel Helm reported In a louder then normal voice.

“See there gonna fight us whether we fight them or not” Dash shouts in a I told you so tone of voice.

Applejack opened her mouth to argue but before she could say a word a loud speaker voice came from outside the gate.

“Fellow equality supporters today is a day of great celebration and uhh rejoice. I have just received word that our operations were successful and uhh together we will rise” the voice announces through the loud speaker.

“Umm mam what operations” a voice yelled from behind the gate in the crowd. Followed by mutters of agreement from the crowd.

“Operations?” Pinkie asks Twilight in a whisper.

“We have received word the crystal empire has fallen we now have the royals known as Shining Armor, princesse Cadence, their advisers and even the youngest princess Flurry Heart.

As soon as Twilight heard this she darted through the window shattering it into a million pieces and was at the front gate in 10 seconds flat.

“What’d you do to my favorite niece?” Twilight shouts angrily holding a glare that could rival Fluttershy’s stare for pure intensity.

The voice (aka Screwball the mare) was standing right by the gate and did a 180 turn and looked Twilight in the eyes.

The rest of the Main 6 and Spike rushed out the door. Only to see what could only be described as a staring match between Twilight and Screwball.

“Guess what princess?” Screwball asks drawing out the cess of princess which resulted in between a hissing sound and a lisp.

“What?” Twilight asks while still giving Screwball the most intense glare ever seen in equestria.

“We didn’t just catch that brat and you nuisance of a family we also caught miss sun herself along with her emo ass sister” Screwball gloats smugly smirking at Twilight.

Twilight finally snapped and using her magic ripped the gate open and charges at Screwball magic charged up. Only for Rainbow to grab her by the haunches and Applejack to lasso her pulling back.

In that split second a loud CRACK could be heard as the metal baseball bat that Screwball had hidden behind her hit the ground where Twilight would have been if it weren’t for Applejack and Rainbow Dash jumping in.

Everyone stood in stunned silence at Screwball’s actions. Only to be snapped out of it by Spike running over and slamming the gate shut locking it in that split second everyone was stunned.

“Screwball you could’ve killed Twilight if you’d hit her” Rarity squeals in shock and horror.

“Exactly royals don’t deserve to live after all they’ve done!” Screwball exclaims happily practically grin from ear to ear the most crazed grin anyone had ever seen plastered on her face.

“You’d kill Twilight! but she your her friend” Pinkie questions in utter disbelief and confusion

“She Not my friend anymore. She’s a royal now and all royals must be made equal or die. She chanted followed by the rest of the rebels chanting “all royals must be made equal or die” pumping theirs hooves into the air at the end.

“Starlight that sick buck. I’ll kill her for pulling this brainwashing crap a 3rd time” Rainbow mutters more pissed off then she ever had been.

“Really you’ll kill me Dashie?” Starlight responded poofing into existence next to Screwball.

“Yeah you deranged psychopath we let you in and you betrayed us and I’ll happily put you in the ground for it” Dash shouts back in anger, frustration and worst of all for the element of loyalty betrayal/heartache over her lost friend.

“Oh alright” she responded unflinching only moving if completely necessary.

“Starlight your too dedicated for your own good accepting death threats from your ex best friend without even flinching. Masterfully done” the cloaked mare know as flimsy straw and Starlight’s right hand declares to the entirety of the rebels outside the gate and the Mane 6.

As she spoke these words Starlight walked up directly in front of the gate and paused for a second. Then spoke in a somber tone saying...

“That’s the point they aren’t my friends they are just my ex friends” she says in the most pointed tone possible.

At the emphasis on ex friends both Pinkie and Fluttershy wept in sorrow and pain.
While Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash glowered and glared in anger and hate.

Twilight and Spike however noticed one thing the rest didn’t.....

“We are coming for you at dawn tomorrow you better be ready” Starlight says in a tone dripping with venom and ire.

Then Starlight backed off to their camp followed by the rebels and misfits who Starlight calmed followers.

As the Mane 6 went inside the castle to strategize about the up coming battle. Twilight only thought of that one thing what she and Spike had noticed....

A single tear leaked out of Starlight’s left eye immediately after she said not my friends anymore. Twilight was more sure then ever that Starlight could be saved again.

Twilight wasn’t sure if Starlight was going back to her bad ways or if she was controlled or maybe blackmailed either way Twilight knew her student and best friend was still in there somewhere.

Now to prove it to her friends.....

Yay I love the way this story is gong already I’m kinda writing it by the seed of my pants.
I do so apologize that it’s moving so fast but I just want it to be a fast story and it won’t be quite as fast in the future chapters.
